Poor Ming Yi. It feels like the Empress used up 20 years of her life and then just spitting her out, completely breaking her pure heart. If my theory is right, and she is the daughter of Bo Yucen then she must have got switched with Ji Bozai which does not sound ANY BETTER AT ALL. Talk about Destiny running its course.

A great start and fun to watch. I like that they introduced all of the main cast in the first episode. I also liked the way that the club has members from all ages. The second couples story also seems interesting and I like the alter ego that they show of the main girl which i think will go away in the last episode as the girl will become true to herself in the end.

The stupidly finished series. What about sister and father? What happened to Wee and ex-boyfriend? Or are you going to film the 2nd season????

Guardians of the Dafeng Episode 9

This show has so many lovely women, I find it rare to have so many favourite characters already. Especially Caiwei (the sorcerer in white). She's so free-spirited, and she's always eating something (lol). I really love her dynamic with the ML, as she acts like an older sister to him. It also helps that she's smart and strong too. Just as our ML gets to save her from danger, she saves him right back. His actual sisters are also great, and you can tell the older one does care for him even when the rest of the family didn't. We haven't seen much from the main lady (the FL) but I can already tell I'll love her just as much soon enough. Also, She's so cute! Not many evil scheming women to be seen here either (which is usually the case with these type of dramas), apart from maybe the Grand princess. But so far, she's been nice enough to recommend ML to join the Guardians so she can't be that bad. The aggressive Gold guardian lady ain't too bad either. Anyway, lots of great characters to be found so far, the women just stood out to me a bit more here, which is rare.

Another frustrating ep but it really broke my heart . My wei wei suffering again . I love chi cheng but i got really disappointed at him at the previous ep when he couldn't say he didnt love wang shuo and now in this ep the aftermath of that happened wang shuo plotted yet again . After going all the way in a relationship , acting protective, possessive bf still confused about your own feelings Oh God!! Its hella frustrating . Finally lies were exposed atleast it helped chi cheng realise his own feelings it was already eating me up finally that baggage is off my chest . But again it was chi cheng who didnt want to know anything about wei wei' s past . When wei wei wanted to come clean about it .Their relationship was honestly toxic it lacked a lot communication and understanding. They never communicated properly. Maybe the breakup was much needed for them . They needed some space to realise each other's mistake and start a fresh relationship.

Todo Seigo gets the dust off his shogi board and starts plotting. He saw Asuka playing her dad’s game and said she could kill him. He starts a search on his phone about her and makes plans. Asuka is probably the hardest worker but because she is rather antisocial, she is the first they want out. She is set up for theft and somehow the stepmom gets contacted by the police. She sends little brother with the evidence that will clear her but has brother got her to sign an ndr about who she is and a promise to never contact her father. She is so grateful to be out of jail that she agrees to it. This was not a smart move but I don’t blame her. She did find out from a detective that they had the recording that proved her innocence. She found out her ass of a brother tricked her and the stepmom tries to buy her off. I love that she tosses the money and that even tho they were successful with their contract, she doesn’t need anything from them and can’t be bought. I think this was the first time stepmom realized Asuka had more character than she expected. She saw the challenge and was keeping the knife video for a scandal later. I did like that Asuka basically told them to kiss off as she strolled past them and the shower of money. She still mourns her mom but knows she’s about to be kicked out of her home. She revisits the spot where she and her mom enjoyed the view and made wishes. She was a good daughter but her father was an ass and her mother died pining for him because she loved him unconditionally. Asuka felt that way for her mom. There is a scene of dinner at the stepmom’s place and it is elegant but cold. When she told the fiancée her shogi days were over and she needed to serve the family I would not have smiled sweetly and agreed. I would have headed to the door and told them sayonara. As Asuka is considering ending it all, Todo shows up and shows the knife to her and wants to know why she hates her dad. Since her dad eliminated their existence, she wanted to return the favor. Todo revealed his mutual hate for her father and said the only way to remove his existence was through the game. He wants them to team up and she’s too tired. He tells her she has a job to do and then the nut jumps off the building to the garbage bin😂🤣I think he found it to hurt more than he expected.😂 He tells her she has a new purpose to live…to play shogi. When she drops him she finds a rook piece and she sees that as a sign to play. Game on to beat dad.

My heart feels full. This is so touching. So epic. Tea gathering is such a awesome occasion for many situations to take place and my did the stupid Crown Prince miss no chance to trap Ming Yi, well not knowing that she and Ji Bozai had him trapped as well. When Ming Yi took hold of his face and told him thank you for being alive, i mean i FELT THAT. When he later recreates the Heart bond...when he softly told her that she loves him and she does NOT deny it but simply smiles back. These two are goals in my heart

I rewatched this with better understanding now that I’ve watched through episode 6. Young Asuka wanted to be like her father and play shogi. Her goal was to play better than dad. He was rising through the ranks and just got a title. But after that huge win, he spiraled with several losses. During this time Asuka was showing promise as a young player. One day while waiting for him to get home, she finished a game on his board. While she was all smiley at the door with her shogi certificate, he was pissed off she had the game finished that he couldn’t solve. He threw her bodily out of the room and told her not to touch his board. Later he told her to stop playing. He then served his wife divorce papers. After they separated Asuka still tried to play, but her sick mother could not deal with the slapping of the pieces, so Asuka tossed her game in the trash and determined to take care of her mother. The ass of a dad married the family that would stay in his shadow, forsaking the one with the promising player that would surpass him. He wanted to squash her ability rather than be in her shadow. This is the man that thanked his family for playing so well. It was not the family that loved him, it was his family of choice to stay lesser than him in the shogi environment. His book about family, praises his second wife and son and has no mention at all of his first family that supported him through the ranks. The production team did an excellent job mirroring mother and daughter pouring through his book looking for mention. They were non existent. Her mother is denied an audience with her father because of step mother. So after her mom passed, Asuka had intentions of stabbing her father and letting him die on the board at the competition. She is stopped and told that the knife she had would do no damage and simply make him a bigger star. That the only way to kill him was with shogi. Asuka goes to a board by observers and slaps down the pieces before the actual players do and leaves. Here she shows she has the potential her father wanted to have. She is in the zone and beats him with his moves. It isn’t noted til the actual match is over. She has met her shogi mentor but hasn’t realized it yet. After a second time watching, the dad’s actions are even more appalling. To refuse to recognize talent because it might overshadow your own is criminal when it’s your own child. He wanted her hidden not celebrated, and he came damn near close to doing it.😝This is truly an excellent drama that deserves more attention.

A Man Who Defies the World of BL 2024 Episode 6

they not serious with how they chose to end this season - like come on already. but the plus, this ep was all about Mob, he as the MC finally had an ep all to himself & i really loved it. he & it was funny, quirky & entertaining. ********************************the fact Kikuchi came back, is just annoying (he not really my cup of tea - talking about the character). both the options weren't really viable. Kikuchi was just on his university break & would be returning to his studies abroad after a month (or so), so choosing him was choosing a long distance relationship, which might fit Mob's personality. but then what is the point of even being in a relationship & not just remaining friends.?!? ******************************************************************************on the other hand , his other option was a teenager that was still under age, so even if Mob accepted his confession, Mob would have to wait 3yrs before they could actually be in a relationship. so again a different type of long distance relationship.... ****************************************************************************************************************************************as much as i enjoy Mob's quirkiness & weirdo personality, i wish he would find someone to love. this the 3rd season & if there is more (which idk) will it be a repeat of the previous seasons? as this plot done to death?!? & in this season, i really wasn't interested with any of the side character's, that got paired. i wasn't invested in them, it was just fluffy n filler - either way i just fast-forwarded them. so as much as i enjoyed this, it was only when it involved Mob. so here's hoping that if there is a 4th season Mob & this plot will finally move forward, & give up something different.
