Perfect ending

Everything is solved, there is even a reason why we have not all answers regarding King’s father’s death. We had fist fights, deep pain, domestic life, forgiveness, hot scenes, mature love, young couple love, a soon to be girlfriend. The last ep is as packed as all episodes and it is fantastic.

that ending has brought up so many questions.…

that ending has brought up so many questions. if Eun Chae Ni's grandmother was involved with the experiments on the orphan kids - who was she? was Eun Chae Ni also an orphan, she just took pity on cause of her heart condition?!? if Eun Chae Ni was an orphan, why wasn't she experimented on? wouldn't they want to check if "whatever" was injected into a sick child, how it would evolve? not even a scientist but think that's how scientist would think. ***************************************************** & if Eun Chae Ni is her grandmothers biological granddaughter maybe it was punishment for what she had a hand in happen to all those kids. other then that a fun ep perusal - i really love v quirky personality - she is so much fun. ****************************also like both of her side kicks, but have to say Gyeong Un's family is taking the fun out of this. they treat him like garbage & he just takes it. he doesn't need to be mean back to demanded respect from his wife or daughter. but he needs to standup for himself.

Family ties and the rise and fall of an empire

Ya have to side with Ling giving himself a safe room. Whether hormones, jealousy or suppressed rage Zhao was doing her best to suffocate him with a pillow while he slept. She has everything mapped out in her head how he betrayed her and he rebuts that these very things proved he loved her. I am not sure where they will be when the babies are born or if she will be able to bring them to term, but Zhao is now wishing she had learned to build herself a safety net as the pieces start falling. Lin’s mom lived to hear the last of the book and passed when it was finished. Her dad was rather stoic about everything. It wasn’t that he didn’t care, it was simply the extent of emotion he gave to life itself. He calmly accepted his fate and told her he had no desire to go abroad with her when she left. Lin wanted them close enough to look after each other but he wanted her to have the life and freedom he never had. He wanted her to be happy with her life and career without feeling obligated to him in any way. I think the saddest reflection she had of their family is that not a single photograph existed where all three of them were together in the same frame. He Han was her person and was there for her, but no hugs were exchanged when she walked out of her mother’s room. He simply went in to tell her mother goodbye. While she and her dad were talking, and she was processing he was not going with her, He Han said they had already arranged for him to be contacted to look after her father whenever the time came. When they spoke in the closed diner Lin told him she might have found his mother. They still don’t embrace but she travels with him to the store where his mother worked and he came back with a large quantity of clothes. He recognized her but I don’t think they acknowledged themselves as family. I do think, tho we didn’t see it, that there was tacit understanding that they turned out ok and no ties had to be made between them. There were several early snapshots of him and his mom but after meeting her, He Han burned every one of them. He wants to know when Lin’s leaving and while she doesn’t have a specific date set, she’s making it sooner rather than later since her dad isn’t leaving with her. Gu Yan has left Zhao to sign on with Dai. He is flexible to accepting AI and has few requests other than keeping his room and getting He Han’s car. He also wants Phantom Knight to be his baseline to surpass rather than He Han. Dai drops her keys on the table and agrees to his terms. When GuYan spoke to Zhao he said he had his friends taken care of and no longer needed her. He realized she was the one that created the problems and then swooped in to fix them to keep him in line. He has made peace with them and offered marriage to San Mei after divorce. San Mei is wiser this time when she asks him why he wants to marry her now? Love had nothing to do with his choice it was all about her being one he could trust. She thanked him for the assist but said they could have that relationship without marriage. She is going back to the Internet cafe and reminded him that had they made this choice earlier they all could have stayed friends. He offered his buddy 5 million to make a new life wherever he wanted but he had to go because domestic violence was unacceptable. His friend agreed and said he never should have married San Mei. He thought he could handle it knowing Gu Yan had her heart, but it drove him to his vices. It was harder because he didn’t have his best friend to talk to about it because he was the problem. He declined the cash but said they would keep in touch and he would let him know if money was ever an issue. Their friendship is shattered and his only request was for GuYan to take care of San Mei. Gu Yan has one last chat with Lin letting her know he had signed on with Dai and she was one he trusted. He just wanted her to cater to his ego and he would have never left. He assures her his goal is to leave Phantom Knight in the dust. Lin told him that in a game of win or lose, the dullest part is when the rival didn’t want to play. She made no apologies for how things ended up she just had no intention of giving him the attention he wanted. Cai is still writing and considering her options. She and He Han are still friendly and there wasn’t enough screen time to know if she’s over her crush. That worked for me. She was acting like a colleague rather than a starry eyed delulu girl. Fan is seeing the writing on the wall and wants to blame Zhao for losing their authors. Dai is not even gloating they just have very different views of reading content for the future. He wants to pretend he’s concerned with writers making a living. Tell that to Lin’s authors he wasn’t interested in.😝 He did the same thing Dai is doing now but on a much smaller scale in comparison to her current success. Dai is wiping the floor with them and he was too arrogant to even see it as his rival. She is keeping her promise to Lin to have Zhao feel it tenfold. The fact she chooses to not share a drink with Fan shows she knows his words are bs and their paths had always been divergent, which is why they were no longer married or ever worked together in a long term arrangement. Fan’s empire has finally toppled and I do not have the satisfaction I thought I would. He needed to go but I have misgivings about the AI trend in the arts so it leaves a sour taste for me. Two more episodes to see if Lin really goes abroad and will they actually reveal who Phantom Knight is? This drama is more like a psychiatry case study than anything else. I expected a more light hearted second chance romance and this is nothing of the sort. I am hoping as they wrap things up that it ends on a lighter note because right now everything is rather murky with dark undertones. These characters have kept my interest and the actors are doing an excellent job, but I am still trying to define what story they want us to know from them.

i feel so many emotions right now but i think i can confidently say i love this drama えじゃな

i planned to binge through Ⅵ ,Ⅶ & Ⅷ but that was the most sobering episode i have ever seen. it’s thirty minutes of an expected & dreaded wind±down with the troupe each cracking down. the preview had me excited to see yuika & yagami having this heart two heart but i don’t think i can ever fully articulate what it felt like watching his true dejection every new broil festering up in the troupe & to finally revert back into a childhood forced to live with vacant parents 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ i was focusing so hard on how akiko was slowly warping that yagami slipped my mind. I’ve always liked his character but he’s always been an existence supporting others. & when those others are infighting & resenting & falling apart where does that leave him ?& again the writers don’t fail him. what jo said wasn’t wrong. both of them can be right at the same time & the show understands this well like they’ve shown time & time before 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ & now I’m sitting here with genuine fear to start the next epoisode. i made a pledge to get through this in seven days so i will finish this show tomorrow. but every bone in my body is so scared that the worst thoughts that those characters are feeling as they search through an entire city might be true. I’ve talked about this before how i feel that the best way to make a comedy is to understand why a laugh can be so healing & wanted. to understand the darkesrt worst moments that we can’t look on in the eye. i don’t even know how to finish that sentence.

Unnecessary nudity scenes

It was full of emotions and fun, but the scene with the book of nude women's photos was unnecessary and pointless, and it made me feel uncomfortable throughout the episode. They could have had her holding a book with pictures of Cha Eun Woo, or a book related to the story, or anything else that would add a touch of humor; after all, the show is classified as a comedy, not pornography.

Changyu the MVP

The sheer scrappiness of Changyu without speaking to the rest of the military, just kidnapping Sui Yangquing and threatening to strip him naked and cut of his member if they didn't give them provisions is pure glee. I couldn't stop giggling the whole time. Here we have Gongsun and Xie Zheng trying to execute big brain plans and suddenly his wife completely on her own accord just appears and that does it. It's amazing I love her. I get that he is mad at her, because it definitely could've gone wrong. Him having another guy pretending to be the Marquis adds another layer to the lie though, so I wonder how he is finally going to reveal it.

Bullies and Protectors of the Palace

Consort Yue was the queen of this episode! And I don't think I have to explain why. 👏😂😏It was wonderful to watch Shaoshang expressing interest in everything regarding Zisheng, dangerous or not, because she's ready to face everything with him if it comes to that. And he would let her and protect her. Aww, that little smile he gave when she said that... their relationship is blooming wonderfully and taking all the right courses it could now. They make me smile a lot! 🤗❤️And that princess who bullies her constantly now... I think I hate her more than I hated that other princess who is in a temple now! 😤😠

Winwin is a surprise

It's my first time to watch the actor playing YX and i am impressed. His portrayal is on point. From his eyes and actions. But i hope CY and YX will remain "friends" toward the end. Please don't let them become enemies, it will be so predictable and disappointing.

Five Stars

Double Helix is literally one of the best BL dramas I’ve watched this year. The storyline, the chemistry, the tension, the cinematography… everything feels so intense and well written. 🔥 Every episode keeps getting deeper and more emotional. But after episode 4, I seriously don’t understand why everyone suddenly started hating Ayden. Yes, he made mistakes, but people are acting like they forgot everything he went through before making those decisions. His character isn’t supposed to be perfect — that’s what makes him feel real. He’s complicated, emotionally damaged, possessive at times, but you can still see how much he genuinely cares underneath all that pain. Honestly, I think some viewers only see the surface and ignore the emotional layers behind his actions. The whole point of Double Helix is showing flawed people trying to survive love, trauma, and trust issues. Ayden isn’t a villain to me. He’s one of the most realistic and emotionally complex characters in the drama. And let’s be real… if a character can make the entire fandom this emotional and divided after one episode, that just proves how well written he is. 😭🔥And this massage for ayden/ Lu feng: Ayden, don’t worry too much about the hate. Real fans will always stay by your side no matter what happens. We understand your pain, your emotions, and the reasons behind your actions. You don’t have to be perfect for us to support you. Just remember that your fans are always with you and we’ll keep loving your character till the end 😭❤️This drama is a masterpiece broo.

Brothers’ feud and noble mean girls tea party

XuanQing gives such mixed signals. He is first on the scene since he had YanWen followed. He follows the plotters and sees where they are holding JinZhou and her guard. He even goes as far as purchasing her to get her away from them. YanYun has also arrived on the scene. He has ordered the gates closed so they are all sealed in. When he kicks in that door, it was kinda awesome.💪🏻👏🏻 They make short work of them and rescue the ladies. XuanQing and his guard have tracked down the seller. XuanQing ended up killing her. Considering the offense I don’t think he would have even been charged. He is forgetting about the jade pendent he left behind that will bite him in the ass later. He sees his brother come to JinZhao’s defense and knows that his brother loves her. What is nauseating in his conviction is that he equally believes JinZhao took advantage of his brother for his wealth and position. 🙄🤬 I am sure that it makes JinZhao sick to her stomach that she wasted any of her time liking him. I am not getting his stunt with the earrings, but he is such a weakling that the girls can handle him at his worst. If he realized what the two guys that will die for her would do to him…he would flee for school now. He not only thinks the absolute worst of her, he has the ego to think she was supposed to be pining for him these last three years. 🙄😡It is laughable if he wasn’t so serious about it. His guard is aware how stupid he’s being but you can’t fix stupid.😝So like Lian’s servant he is forced by his charge to follow orders regardless of consequences. YanYun knows the brother behind it and why. The hatred this brother has is so rabid. This one just needs to be put down so he causes no further grief. Chen sends him off to Shanxi under the pretense of business so brother number two can take care of him. He is not so vengeful as to make his family pay the price and has them stay at home. All the kidnappers that thought the worst was over getting sent to prison had no clue what awaited them. They are now under YeXian’s domain and their hell has just started. He scoffs that Chen didn’t kill them all. This role suits him so well. He is eerie and vengeful juxtaposed with a gentleness and kitten. QingLan loves his duality and I really want to see his heart let another in. The couple finally arrive back at the Chen house where they have been gossiping, I see where her boys get their ruthlessness from when mom says any servant spreading rumors were to be beaten to death no trial necessary. JinZhao made me laugh out loud when she kicked that handsome man out of her bed because he let her get kidnapped.🤣😂🥰🫣He is beautifully groveling. She discusses how to make amends with his mother and convinces him to let her go to the tea party to deal with the Wangs. I really think YanYun was adopted. His mother….she annoys the hell outa me with her tabloid way of speaking. She is ridiculously snide and flips on a dime when the truth intervenes. The two mean girls were trying to embarrass her but the invitation arrived for the tea party. Had they known why Ms Wang invited her, their smugness would have remained intact. JinZhao arrives with gifts after a flat non welcome when she arrived. She is ridiculed for bringing them and counseled on why it was completely inappropriate. She shrewdly responds she should have asked Ms Wang the correct protocol when she received the invite. This pushes the onus off on her when the leader of the group agreed with JinZhao. The ladies are chatting and tossing out opinions of who should have what position. It is also clear this is how younger relatives get into new positions. They have not cornered JinZhao yet but I am sure there will be something next episode. They are too spiteful to leave her be. The episode ends with a crooked politician being arrested. He is all lippy until he recognizes the arresting officer. They are going to be realizing there is a new sheriff in town and he will not be bribed or let them off easy. Wang has issues because his wife was the one with the bright idea about the student protesters. They are now at school demanding the emperor and officials have their land properly taxed. 😂😝He is such a henpecked thug that I can smile here. He is learning that his kind is a dying breed. Literally. I cannot wait til he and Fu get theirs. Lots of excitement and cute newlywed playfulness this episode. These two…🔥🫣
