PROS:
+ Mah Dong-seok portrays an incredibly lovable protagonist
+ The story is memorable and inspiring
+ I was surprised at how funny some of the light-hearted moments are
+ The film is balanced well with the lighter and more serious moods
+ It was refreshing to see some decent quality American actors
CONS:
- It would have been great to see more detail on the background of the main character
- While Mark's (the main character) motivations are clear, there is some ambiguity from the support character (his "friend")
There is a lot to enjoy in Champion! There's still a layer of silliness to the film, however it is ultimately a drama that can be taken seriously and adored. I wasn't expecting the heartwarming parts to hit me so well.
This is a high recommendation for anyone who loves movies like Rocky, Rudy, or The Wrestler. Check it out!
8.5/10
P.s. Of course they referenced Stallone's Over The Top

WAITING FOR THE 3RD PART
So i watched the first part and was eagerly waiting for the 2nd one i was so happy about the casting too but the 2nd one is not so much connected to the first part like i thought this part will be more amazzing than the first one but this movie extreamly used TheGirl,s power and in the first part ja yoon had more dialouges but in this the girl had little so i was kind of sad. Twisted psychological thriller, it's intense!
What we get in this Chun Woo Hee starrer is an engaging, polished story about a child and her mother and all the psychology stuff people can't expect to face. The relationship between a mother and a daughter, the dream to be always on the top shining through and how far can one go to achieve that inner peace. What I love about the story is it keeps you entangled and you can't guess the end of it. The moment you start believing "okay, so this was like that" it backstabs you right there with a twist. The horror scenes aren't very scary visually unless you were astonished by the sudden scare.
I dare to say this movie is nothing without Chun Woo Hee because this woman's acting is insanely good here. The way she walks and rises her head, can anyone else satisfy us better for an anchor. The insecurities within her role, the craziness, the creepy things and the depth of her struggles, it's all such well portrayed by her. She carries this fine storyline on her shoulders.
Now coming up to why it lost 1 star from the Rating —
• Just felt a little confused at some points, I don't know if it was about that mystery vibe build up or what but there was no energy in Shin Ha Kyun's role, so slow and dull. At one point Chun Woo Hee was so awesome, but the rest of the cast didn't stand out that much.
So if you're looking for something engaging, thrilling with little mix of horror and lots of psychology, unexpected depth of human mind and intense acting by our leading lady Chun Woo Hee, this could be a right choice.

oddly charming
I didn’t expect to like this movie at all after the cheesy trio started hamming it up, felt weird in a “horror themed” movie but I see this as a mystery comedy more than anything which is what I think the directors were going for and they did amazing all things considered, you get some decent attachment to the characters and while it isn’t all that strong you do feel a twinge of pain when you get that reveal at the end and it makes it all worthwhile. it’s a bittersweet ghost story and I recommend it, but I wouldn’t prioritize it over much else but that isn’t to say it isn’t good. Was this review helpful to you?
Beautiful and intriguing
Park Chan Wook director is back in 2022 Cannes and won the Best Director award this time around. His signature touches are so precise that it looked like beautiful portrait shots with extremely fine details for each and every of the scenes and frames, even the editing and transition is extraordinarily stylized. He has the ability to find the beauty of the broken love in this wicked romance story which works wonders, where even a subtle affection comes in great effect on a person's mindfulness, and reaching it through extreme means might be of utmost importance. The broken ones will definitely understand the intention of this film where protecting that little love in this shattered world is what all we had left. Was this review helpful to you?

A Survivor's First Steps to Himself
SPOILERS: As a survivor I've been thinking alot about "Light". Don't read if you haven't seen "Light". There are also a lot of triggers in the movie so take care. The actor who played Light was brilliant in conveying his vulnerability and the hope and innocence that still exists in him. "Even if its not true, can you say that you like me."
Emotionally, Light never experienced love without pain, never received affection, however false, without suffering. He learned that the only way he could be loved or valued was through his pain. He learned he had no value to anyone except as an object.
Physically, he was conditioned to experience sexual arousal through pain. His gratification was incidental to the gratification his pain gave others.
Is Shou's feeling for LIght strong enough to help Light heal? Can he accept that LIght has a long journey and may fall occasionally?
Can Light learn that pleasure for others doesn't mean his suffering? Can he learn that sex isn't the only way to show love? Can he learn to take pleasure from a loving touch? Can he accept that he has value? Can he learn to love himself? To love another? That love comes from within and flows out?
Light did two important things to begin his own healing ~ he stopped his participation in the cycle of abuse and he stepped away from depending on another (Shou) to take care of him, he stood on his own.

Long Awaited Reunion... Except It Is Not.
I'd have to start this review saying that there will be major spoiler in this review, if you're looking at reviews trying to decide if you should watch the movie, my recommendation is for you to watch it. It is a good movie overall, I have a few complaints here and there, but you can tell how much love and effort all actors and actresses put into this one. There are some fun moments, plenty of throwbacks and even plenty of flashbacks that might make you want to go back and rewatch OOO. For a long time fan, this movie deliver many right things and nostalgia. You can expect to see character's growth and for some, their arc's conclusion. For those who have watched the movie or don't mind spoilers, here we go.
Story 6.0/10:
The story is okay. It is not great, it actually has a lot of plot holes and wasted potentials, but it wasn't bad either. It's one of those movies that can be better if they would extend half an hour into the story, going back and explain a few plot points. Like how did the OOO King get revived, and why is he revived? I'd assumed that he's the one who has revived the rest of the Greed as well, but then why did he only revived 4 of them without Ankh? Is the King human, or is he now also a Greed when he lost control last time? They could also have shown us how they made Goda and how Goda found Eiji and took over his body. Did Goda escape from the lab where Kougami created the metals and flew into Eiji like the purple metals did? They can also expand on why everyone's okay with Ankh taking over Shingo's body again. Is Shingo badly injured again? Or does Ankh able to hold his whole body after Goda defeated the King? Yeah, the story kind of leave you with a lot of questions unanswered, and unless they make another movie/ media to answer that, I don't think we will ever have any answers to them.
The story is not all negative though, it is simple with a lot of focus on Ankh and Eiji, especially showcasing how much Ankh has grown to become more human. I get and like the idea about Ankh getting revived and now he wants to find, protect, and bring back Eiji. At the same time they need to eliminate the threat (the OOO King) and bring back peace. In true Ankh's fashion, he wants to make use of Goda (like a pawn) to achieve both goals. It is a very good drive for a character, I like it.
I also like Goda's drive in the story. As a Greed born out of Eiji's desires, and last time we've established that Eiji's desire is to have power, so that he can use those power to protect others. Goda have a similar goal too. Well, he wants power, but he certainly doesn't care about protecting others. He also has this strange attachment towards Ankh, which I wonder if it's born out of Eiji's desire to revive Ankh.
Anyway, yeah, the story is basic enough, we have our heroes having their plans, but they plan was hijacked by some asshole in the middle, and now they have to go up against the asshole so that they can restore the original plan and have a happy ending.
Except that this is a story set in an apocalyptic world and happy ending is not on the plate.
Look, I am okay with killing off characters, even if they are the main character. If it is a good death, well done! I am just not sure if I am 100% behind Eiji's death. I mean, it is rather in-character for him to sacrifice himself to save the little girl, it also bring his character's arc to a full circle - he lost his will to live and became a wanderer because he couldn't save a little girl he became friend with, now, he gets to finally save this little girl he became friend with after returning to Japan (this is shown in one of the prologue episode). I can see it being a fulfilling moment for Eiji, like he is able to reach someone who needs his help.
His death is also the key to Ankh's revival, I get it. It's that, "a life for a life" thing they were going for. Eiji uses his last wish (which is often known as the strongest desire a person could have) to revive Ankh and Ankh is back! Eiji got both his greatest desires came true, but that kind of make him a martyr.
Like, I am pretty sure Ankh would rather Eiji lives a full, happy life. Like in the original series, Ankh told Eiji that the hand Eiji needs to reach out to isn't his anymore, but Eiji continues to search and reach for Ankh's hand, and eventually sacrificing himself to achieve that.
I have very mixed feeling with the ending, perhaps I need more time to process the death of one of my favorite Rider. So yeah, I am giving it a solid 6 out of 10, counting all the plot holes and frustrations. Oh, and the fact that the treated the side characters are all just wallflowers there for nostalgic effects. I mean, they only have an hour. I'd personally like to have a longer movie so that we can see more plot points getting fleshed out and the side characters getting more things to do.
Acting/Cast 9.0/10:
They brought back almost all the original casts. I mean, we missed Dr. Maki and his creepy doll. Apart from that, all the important casts we had in the original came back and it is pretty awesome! I sincerely screamed when I see all the Greeds in their human form, because yeah, I didn't expect that.
Shu and Ryon, both are the movie's main focus, killed it! Apart from that, Hina had some moments, Gotou and Date had their moments, Kougami had his moments... And the rest of the casts (Satonaka, Chiyoko, the Greeds apart from Uva) are all there for a few scenes. These are what I mentioned about wasted potential.
So Shu played 2 roles here, Eiji and Goda. When he was Goda pretending to be Eiji, it was just PERFECT! Like, he sounds and look like Eiji, big cheerful smiles and all but there's something off about him; it's just perfect! When he was Goda, there was another seiyuu who's doing voice over, it was off but it is okay. Like I am pretty crept out by Goda which simply means that Shu was a great actor who was able to convinced me that he wasn't Eiji (the big brother-like idiot who only want to save everyone) anymore.
Ryon just play Ankh here mostly, like we had a scene in the start where he was Shingo, and then Ankh took over. I might be a bit bias here because Ankh is my favorite character throughout the whole KR franchise, but he is FABULOUS. I love how after revival, he is showing more emotions, especially when he found out what Eiji had to do to bring him back - that scene broke me T_T But yes, Miura Ryosuke is an amazing actor and he has not disappoint.
Hina, Date, and Gotou are all amazing, it is great seeing everyone back after 10 years. I just wish that they give more screen time to all these characters and the actors/ actresses to show us what they've got.
Music 7.0/10:
Music was alright, they've included a lot of music from the original series and it just bring back nostalgia. The new version of "Anything Goes" is melancholy and fits the ending. Nothing negative on this one, apart from the fact that they didn't add in Time Judge All during the Tajador Eternity transformation?
Rewatch Value 6.5/10:
I personally think there's rewatch value, especially if you watch this movie after the series, follow it with the Movie War Mega Max. I think future Ankh appear in the movie is from 2050 or something, so with this movie, we understand Ankh's expression when he saw Eiji once again after all these years.
But yeah, personally, while I think there's rewatch value to this movie, I also think I will need a break and allow myself to process Eiji's death first.
Overall 7.0/10:
So yeah, there we have it! Overall, 7.0 out of 10. It is not a bad movie and most who're bashing it probably hate the ending - and it is a very bittersweet ending just like how the series had left us 10 years ago, only this time it is reversed; It is not a great movie either because of all those plot holes and unanswered questions. But if you can look past those, like most of us do a lot of KR movies, this will be something you can enjoy and spend a few boxes of tissues on.

never give up
wow, wow wow wow this movie was phenomenal I rarely ever watch adaption before I read the webtoon ever but I am so glad I did or I would have been missing out on of the best action revenge stories I've seen so far. The acting was great, the choreography was stellar and the fake blood and wounds are just top notch this did not feel like a 2 hour movie at all it was so fast paced and had just the right amount of action it all blew by I can not wait for 2023 when the second part comes along. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone into action series. This movie tops Dokgo for me in terms of live action, and that's saying a lot when dokgo is my favorite bully revenge theme series both in Live action and webtoon format. highly recommendWas this review helpful to you?

Wong Fei Hung had to battle a local baddie, a romantic Russian, and dozens of lions all while trying to work out his relationship with 13th Aunt and thwart an assassin. All in a day's work for the martial arts folk hero. This outing for Jet Li's Wong Fei Hung tended to be busy, loud, and unfocused. There were moments of humor and romance, and a few good fights buried within the film. The evil Empress Dowager wanted to impress the foreigners and encourage more martial arts by holding a lion dance competition. Instead of uniting the martial artists they ended up fighting each other in violent dance offs with lions. WFH tried to calm everyone down, but the local oil factory owner kept everyone stirred up. WFH also had to deal with a Russian who had eyes on 13th Aunt. Meanwhile, 13th Aunt worked at getting a marriage proposal out of WFH. She had a cute scene with WFH teaching him some important English words.
If you love violent lion dances, this is the movie for you. There are numerous lion dance fights throughout the movie. The problem with them, is that regardless of all the hidden swords, fire, arrows, and meteor balls, much of the action was hidden under the costumes and giant heads. They ended up in a tangle of costumes and erratic movements.
There were a couple of good fights. Most used quite a bit of wire-fu and advantageous camera angles. Jet Li was in his prime making all the extras distracting. The final lion dance fight was difficult to follow and the climax with the local baddie underwhelming.
Much like the lion dances, the story could be a confusing mess. Jet Li as WFH and Rosamund Kwan as 13th Aunt were fine in their roles. Much of the rest of the cast became lost in the noise.
If you are a fan of this series and Jet Li this is a perfectly watchable movie and much of it was entertaining, especially when Jet fought and we were able to see him fighting. He was quick and talented in his scenes, especially one on an oil slick floor. If you are a fan of vicious lion dances you are in for a real treat, if not, OUATIC 3 might be a letdown.

average, very average
this was an okay watch, but it was very slow at times and I think the story itself was lackluster. There wasn't any real connection or reason to care for any of the characters and I didn't find any of it scary whatsoever, and the sfx are no t exactly that good it takes away from the scares heavy. there's more that could have been done with it but I enjoyed myself, I'd say watch this with friends to get the most out of it in all honesty, not really something you should just enjoy on its own unless you're really bored or have nothing else to pick from. that's not to say it's bad though. it's an okay movieWas this review helpful to you?
absolute male written garbage
this is the exact reason that men should not be allowed to directed, write, or produce gls.this movie is an absolute disgrace. it is an hour and a half of straight porn targeted at male audiences. heard of the “male gaze”? well this is a perfect example of that.
not only do the female characters get raped repeatedly with no justice, the indulge is downright disgusting and atrocious sexual fantasies such as period sex and literal necrophillia.
the age gap alone is enough to turn anybody off from this movie. it is the perfect male fantasy of an older woman and a schoolgirl, too bad everything in this movie is illegal and unrealistic.
horrible. the maker of this film should be ashamed of himself and quite frankly should be put on a list somewhere. xoxo

story
Just finished this movie, it has been on my list for a while now and finally got to watch it.At first glance of the posters and trailer I thought they were going to be lovers, but that was not the case, I still liked the movie it was bitter sweet
The movie was FULL of surprises for me, the director really wanted you to watch the whole movie to understand the storyline and each characters, and a liked the way the talked about struggling to find your purpose in live with I think many can relate to.
Overall I enjoyed the movie and cried quite a lot it had emotional effect at the very end and showed you what really happened.

First of all, if you are a virgin, a vanilla person, someone that never suffered from mental health issues, this will be a very uncomfortable movie to watch. Even if you a kinkster, you may have questions.
However, I personally found this movie beautiful, although with doubtful morals.
I love how they approached the mental health issues, bdsm, care and aftercare.
How they punched you with the face about alternative "treatment" for suicidal patients. Belive it or not, some of the stuff done (not the sex part), the psychological part of it, is actually practiced in real life, all around the world.
I remember due to a trauma I had, I unwillingly tried to kill myself and the doctor helped me by telling me all the ways of how I could die..and all the ways and likahood of failure each method had, with what consequences it had for myself and people around me. They showed varies pictures and let me visit post-suicide, survival patients.
How bad it gets now, one thing is for sure, THAT treatment set a bar very high for me ever to cross that ever again.
And that is kinda like what happened here. Two very broken people, escaping crap by doing crap.
How fucked up and imoral methods used, the message came through.
But sure, if you just look at the bits here and there, its well, shit.

Seems unfinished
This movie started well and the CGI is awesome. The story is good except it seems like it’s incomplete. Why was Chiongmae brought to the palace, what happened at the swords game, what happened to the evil crown prince? So many questions. I feel like this movie is a preview to a great series.Love the costumes used.
If someone knows if this is a series or there’s a part 2 to the movie, kindly let me know. I would appreciate it.
Overall, this is a great movie with exceptional actors playing their part.
