I just finished watching this drama, and I can say that I liked it, although it was a bit back and forth... not to mention all the misunderstandings; it was quite the pain, and I felt frustrated more than once (not exaggerating!). But everything was resolved in the end, so I felt a bit at peace when I was finished with the drama. xD

The story of this drama was decent, but all the situations were a bit hard to believe, but it isn't that big of a deal.
In the beginning it was rather humorous and simple, and I quite enjoyed it; it was later on when everything got complicated that I started swearing at my computer-screen.
Some things that annoyed me was the lack of apologies from a couple of certain other characters, whose fault it was that Choon-Hyang and Mong-Ryong got found out in the first place. The fighting was a bit over the top and cheesy, but it wasn't that bothering, to be honest. The love-rivals of both Mong-Ryong and Choon-Hyang were the ones that made me the most frustrated; they basically played the roles of homewreckers, trying to part a married couple. I hate that in both real life and in fiction, but I beared with it.
However, I must admit that the characters, or at least Mong-Ryong, matured as the series went on; it was actually quite noticeable, and I enjoyed his character overall. His facial expressions were really animated, and I liked that.

The acting was decent, but at times over the top (although the humorous scenes required this, so I see no problems there). Like I said earlier; I liked the expressive actor that played Mong-Ryong.

I wouldn't really rewatch this drama, just because I wouldn't be able to handle all the manipulation and complications all over again. One time is enough; however, if you do like that kind of stuff, I'd say this drama is for you.

Overall, I give this drama a 6/10.

I'm a huge Hong Sisters fan since a very long time. Everytime they come up with a new project, I'm in heaven.
But I'm must admit, I'm slightly disappointed with "Big" .

All the ingredients for a good drama were there though: Good casting, an interesting plot, the name "Hong Sisters" on the script... But with "Big", they put had a new one which ruin everything: BORINGNESS . I found it hard to continue a drama where nothing is progressing. Any of the characters have capture my heart yet and to be really honest, Gil Da Ran annoys me. After 10 episodes, I still can't find the purpose of this drama and the excitment the other Hong dramas has provided me. Where is it leading ? I have no idea and episode after episode, I find it hard to continue.

forgive me to those who are fan of the main role,....I was not gonna make a review of this drama now but since i've read other reviews, i just thought of having one........

At first, you may seem to like this drama, a kind of man who is so serious, a bit snob and handsome looking. the female lead is so pretty too with a weak character. I liked it till the scenes when the girl wrote to this guy about her feeling and instead of this guy to like her too, she was just belittled by the guy and it was a shame that everybody in school saw and heard it. that was a great start. I was thinking that the story will turn the other way around but till the end .....................(WARNING).................................... she never changed! If you were in this situation, what would you be of? if it seems to you that the story is just right, ok watch it, but for those who doesn't want to be someone with no PRIDE at all to yourself, do not watch it, its a waste of time......

This drama has to be one of the best love stories ever. Right from the beginning I loved this drama. The storyline may seem done before, but the way the drama was written, it is anything but done before. The story is realistic. There weren't all sorts of obstacles placed in the way besides obvious ones everyone would face. The love between the two leads was so powerful and romantic. The cast did wonderful. I loved the male lead. His character portrayal was dead on. The love between the characters felt and looked real. The music for this drama was absolutely beautiful. I loved every song and felt that it went perfectly with the drama. This drama is totally worth rewatching! It was such a beautiful love story. This drama is totally underrated!! Overall, a magnificent love story more people need to see.

I can't give this drama anything but a 10/10 because for its style it was perfect. It was almost exactly what I was expecting.

Whoever is in need of a light comedy should watch this. Expect many hilarious moments. Nagase Tomoya is very expressive, you'll most likely burst into laughter at the mere sight of him. However, expect some depth too. They handle serious matters as well: redefining one's life, learning about true love and friendship, surpassing one's limits. These are all expressed very well and they transition smoothly into and out of the humour. You'll find some very touching moments too, but that's definitely not the defining theme of the drama. It's almost entirely comical. And despite basing itself on serious matters, it manages to stay light enough to be enjoyable as pure comedy.

Acting: I was quite surprised actually. Given the obscurity of this drama I thought they would probably have a bunch of mediocre actors, but these kids are brilliant! They exceeded my expectations. Almost all of them anyway.

Music: It was SPLENDID. I fell in love with the ending theme from the very first second. And the music throughout the show is also very entertaining; it goes well with each scene and just lifts your spirits. For a pretty underrated drama, the music was exquisite. Too good to ignore. It wasn't just a soundtrack, it was a lot more powerful. In some scenes my attention was actually stolen by the music than the action.

I have never read the novel that this was based on, so I don't know how faithful it is in regards to the story.

The story in the movie is good, interesting and although not a fast paced movie, the pace fits the story. This version seems a little darker than the drama series The Painter of the Wind.

The actors were mostly ok. Shin Yun Bok played by Kim Gyu Ri, was really well done. She managed to convey all the conflicting emotions of her character quite well. You could see within her the joy she had for painting, the pain and guilt she carried with her from her family, and the odd mixture of innocence and experience.
The other actors did well with their characters, but due to the limitations of time, most of the other characters were pretty flat.
I really disliked the portrayal of Kim Hong-Do, her mentor. Kim Nam-Gil had no subtlety in his portrayal. He went from nothing to all, out of no where (Sorry, I can't explain that more without spoilers). Park Shin Yang did a much better job with this role in the drama series The Painter of the Wind.

The music went very well with the movie, it swirled in the background like a brush on canvas.

I would also note that this movie is quite sexually explicit, and definitely not for younger viewers, though I thought that most of the sex scenes were relevant to the plot, so not completely gratuitous.

Overall, if you want to see this story I think I would recommend The Painter of the Wind as a better choice. The series is a piece of artwork in itself, with sweeping cinematography, breathtaking music, and outstanding works of art. The characters are richer and fuller, and the story is all encompassing and not quite as dark. However if you don't have time to commit to the drama and just want a quick movie, this is fine.

This story is well written, produced, and acted. The theme to this drama is to live your life to the fullest, because you never know what will happen. Although there is fear and sadness at the thought of death, there is also strength and awareness that wasn’t there before.
Kim Sun Ah plays Yeon Jae with exceptional grace and strength. Her character transformation may not be typical of someone that is facing death, but her way of life after finding out that she was dying should be how we all aspire to live.
Lee Dong Wook demonstrates the change of Ji Wook as someone who has no passion for life to someone that is willing to leave everything to live the life he chooses. His happiness and pain are intense.
Uhm Ki Joon plays Eun Suk who also experiences changes in how he deals with life and his work after meeting Yeon Jae. He really shows how hard it must be to deal with death every day. I can’t imagine that it is an easy job.
The secondary actors and stories were also well done, but I wish they had focused more on the main couple. If this story has any downfalls it is that there were not enough sweet Sun Ah/Dong Wook moments. They looked totally great together and there was great chemistry.
The music is good too.
I probably won’t rewatch this, but it is rewatchable.
I really think this is a drama worth watching. It has sad parts, but it also has hope. Enjoy!!!

I have conflicted feelings about this movie.
Yes, the actor and actress are absolutely adorable. But since this was a "Pregnant and 15" movie, it was weird since they looked like kids.
I couldn't wrap my mind around how they were 15 when they looked 12.
Also, it was kind of also very unrealistic how the girl is supposed to be pregnant, but throughout the movie, she has NO baby bump...
Overall, it was a very cute movie with an overload of cuteness and sweet moments between the lovers. The plot was enjoyable, but this is a "Watch Once" kind of movie.
Hope this was helpful :)

I have to say, this is my favorite drama up-till now.

I actually do not watch action drama's, only romance, but this one. Genius. Pure genius.

The story is so addictive. It is really well written, every character gets it's own time to shine and they are very well developed. The love-part has not yet been developed very well, so for people who want the romance, patience. I am not going to spoil anything here because you should watch it yourself. You get emotionally sucked into the plot and even-though you might hate a character (or love one) they develop so well that your opinion changes very fast. The fact that it is set in '30 Korea when Japan was invading makes it so different from other drama's, which is very refreshing.

I have to scream it. JOO WON IS AMAZING. He is such a great actor. I mean, this is the best acting I have ever seen. It is so incredibly good. And not just him, (eventhough he is like, magnificent) but everyone is great. It is really well cast.

I immediatly fell in love with the OST Goodbye day. It is such a beautiful song, and I started screaming when I found out it is by Ulala Session. It matches the whole feel of the drama perfectly and is a song you would listen when not watch the drama. The rest of the music also fits in perfectly.

I have to say, this is something you have to like. If you don't like the first ep, then don't continue because it will stay the same. It is complete different from what I have watched so far and this is my taste, but my taste isn't everyone's. So think it through, because it is very addictive (watched 10 eps in one go). Because it's only at 10 eps I can not say anything very particular about the rewatch value because could take a different turn in the later eps, but what I have seen so far, I know I will definitively watch it again.

Overall I love it, it is my favorite. It is so different, and there were like 2 scenes where Joo Won was singing this old-fashioned fancy song in a club and he broke out into dance. That was just awesome. Just awesome. It's because of his great acting I continued watching. I highly recommend this drama.

Heart wrenching movie of a father and a son one day reunion after 15 years separation. Since its a sad drama, i thought that it was gonna be slow and dragging. Apparently it wasn't. I love this movie. Especially the acting cast.

Casting: wow!! Cha Seung Won really moved my heart in this movie. I was welling up all my tears till i can't no more. Cha Seung Won really nail it. No wonder he won in 2007 Chunsa Film Art Awards: as BEST ACTOR for this movie.

It's a recommended movie for those who appreciate movie that portray life and society.

I really think that this story was well done. It isn’t original, but the concept of an afterlife is achieved in a way that I have not seen previously. I like that all of the characters are consistent even as certain characters grow. It isn’t a happy drama by any means, but it isn’t overly sad either. I think it is thought provoking. I love the twists and turns this story makes as well as the love stories. The only point of the story that I don’t like is the reasoning behind In Jung’s behavior. It is a convoluted explanation that really makes no sense to me. I can’t write more because it will give things away, but you will see what I mean if you watch this drama.
I give this a 10 in acting for Lee Yo Won alone. She is amazing. I really could tell the difference between Yi Kyung and Ji Hyun. In an acting situation that could have easily confused the person watching , it was never indistinguishable which character she was playing.
Bae Su Bin/Min Ho, Jo Hyun Jae/Kang, and Jun Il Woo/Scheduler do a terrific job playing their characters. Min Ho is easy to hate and Kang is easy to love while the Scheduler is just all together adorable.
I really don’t know much about Seo Ji Hye, but she seemed one dimensional to me. I’m not sure if it is just because I hated In Jung or if it was her acting. I mean is it really acting to use the wide eyed look for every emotion??? Her character is certifiably crazy though.
The endearing little extra couple that works for Kang is just too delightful.
The music is good. Not the best, but it doesn’t suck.
I would rewatch this.
I would say this is a really good drama to watch.

This review may contain spoilers
what i liked
-decent cast
-some good running gags
-cute concept (switching bodies with the person you have a crush on)

what i didn't like
-poor execution
-15 minute format made these 7 episodes feel like a short movie.
-a bit too slapstick
-this isn't a spoiler but really gross use of blackface for in episode 5 (most of asia didn't get the memo that skincolor isn't a costume...but hell, most people in the west didn't either).
-goofy music and sound effects

should you waste your time on this?
eh how bored are you? if you're that bored, just read the manga online instead. there are some good gags here but many other dramas do the body swap love story a bit better (secret garden). you're not missing much by skipping this.

i'd like to see what would have happened with a longer format but, you go to war with the weapons you got, i guess.

I came to this not sure if it was a movie or a short drama well its neither...Its 4 episodes of about 20 minutes each. Its very confusing from start to finish. It felt like I was missing some episodes. The ending isn't really an ending & at the last episode it said the story would continue in a graphic novel.

I decided to watch this because it had Lee Byung Hun in it (I think he is a fine actor). The first 2 "episodes" deal with two different people & the choices they make at a critical juncture in their lives. They are given the opportunity to go back & do things differently.

The first episode about a news anchorman is probably the easiest to relate to & understand. The last two episodes veer off on a tangent telling the story about the main protagonists & this is where it got confusing. I wish this story was padded out & told in further detail.

I found the "jubilee" visually mesmerising.

Worth a watch I suppose but do not have any expectations.

So, this IS different from the Hana Yori Dango Final Special. You can find this one by searching "Hana Yori Dango 2 Special."

This is kind of a prequel to season two, but it's more like a game show type thing than a drama episode. It has Makino's family following her to New York and eventually they meet up with the F4 guys. It shows fun, cheap things to do in New York and also has the characters do little challenges. Cute and fun to watch, but definitely not essential to the Hana Yori Dango story. ^_^
