Super entertaining and fun with some touching moments: a healing must-watch
This series features the passionate romance of Thee, mafia heir, and Peach, talented photographer. As the tone of the series is definitely to poke fun at a lot of lakorn (Thai Soap series), Pond delivers an incredible performance playing an over-the-top mafia boss Thee (ready to do everything to make Peach fall in love with him). The deadpan way to which Peach (played by Phuwin) reacts to Thee antics are making it even funnier.Among all the laughs, there are also a fair share of emotional moments, heartwarming and making this series feels very sincere. The two actors are selling very well the dynamics of their characters and the tenderness between them, despite their differences.
The minus of the series definitely resides in its secondary romances. Two secondary couples are sharing screen but I would have preferred the scenario to focus only on one additional couple rather than to come up with those half-baked storylines, especially that one was clearly more interesting than the other and would have benefited from more screentime and better storytelling.
I would recommend this to people that are looking for an uplifting BL with a strong comedic and parodic tone. It will definitely bring you a smile.

Failed Father.
The premise of this series is good. There are many threads, each with its own story. It's anecdotal, it's heartwarming, it's infuriating and it's enlightening of the times. Overall, it's sketchy. Somehow the details didn't fully fleshed out the picture. There is much to like. There's much realism and tales of life. There's much to appreciate. But there is also too much emphasis on some nuances and some bits of the acting seems over dramatised. I count 5 divorces. For 36 episodes and a family of 5 siblings, this seems a lot. The character play of antagonism between QZW and elder son QYC is a little overdone. The furtive, paternalistic and overbearing characterization of QZW, with his obviously devious scheming just got more irritating than hateful. Even QSM's portrayal of a ditzy sister get a little worn.
The QSL and MYD's relationship, as well as QEQ and MSQ's were better written with its moments of challenges and warmth.
The bigger acting parts belong to the male actors but the female actors did a better job. Esp Mao Xiao Tong and Zhu Zhu.

Literally such a light-hearted and comforting drama
This beats wifty (when I fly towards you) and hidden love imo, fight with the wall. Everything in this drama is almost perfect. Shen Xifan had a really bad relationship with Yan Heng, especially since he was always 'busy' and always out of the country, kind of like a long distance relationship but with no effort at all.I'm also glad that the director didn't speed up their story, especially since it wasn't realistic to be heartbroken for just a few days and find a new partner in the next. I actually got mad when Xifan rejected Suye in ep. 13, but considering she was going to Swiss to study for masters, and the fact that she ALSO got out and deal out of a toxic relationship made it a very exceptional reason as to why she FELT like she had to reject Suye.
Overall, I'm glad He Suye treated her SO much better than Yan Heng, and I'm also glad that Xifan was able to stand up for herself, had her own voice, and most importantly didn't depend on Suye so much like y/n or some shit. A 10/10 for me tbh but ofc I have to be realistic, so a 9.5

one of the best medical dramas ever!
This show- all 3 seasons, did not disappoint! The actors are amazing- all of them! The storyline was compelling and the tension was off the charts! I really enjoyed and hope there us a season 4! The commitment of staff made this a love story on so many levels. Nurse Oh says it best! this is a story of Master Kim’s gravitational pull, and it all came together in a beautifully romantic story. Not traditional romance, but romance Master Kim style! every character had a reason to be a part of the story! Was this review helpful to you?
Interesting plot and good acting
Solid cast. Acting was great all around. The chemistry between our leads is interesting; one I haven't seen in a long time. The plot is interesting enough, but it's more focused on their complicated teacher-student relationship. So if you're not that into character-driven dramas, this might not be for you.Was this review helpful to you?
so insightful.
movies like this make me remember why i cant stomach romance harem dramas like swords and the brocade. This is real and not a game which you can win. but something which always had trapped and imprisoned real women. no women can win this, its so cunning the system it tries to condition you and this movie shows that so well. the little foot massages and even the character progression. chills down my spine. concubine harem dramas should take some inspo and not make it the true evil insesntive all fightimg for one man with no dimmension. just villians but motive and a misundersrood ml. but 35 and 15 is never romance. instead its this a girl who goes mad, not a girll who wins and beats the system. Was this review helpful to you?
Painful to watch
I love legal dramas and medical dramas and So Ji-Seob is one of my favorite actors, so I thought this was gonna be a 10/10 to me. I could not get through the first 2 episodes. The medical content was not accurate nor logical. In the very first episode, for example, someone in the courtroom RANDOMLY goes into anaphalactic shock and collapses in the middle of the room. The first thing they said was that his heart stopped and to get the AED. Okay, no. They do CPR incorrectly and are messing around with the AED not working properly. Then, the doctor-lawyer comes in with his magical medical bag filled with items that can only be possessed by physicians with medical licenses (which his had been revoked for a retaliation reason that would have been caught by an ethics review committee, like licenses aren't being revoked willy-nilly out there). He takes out of his bag a premeasured injection, possibly adrenaline/epinephrine and gives it to him in the neck(!!?? absolutely not, and if he was doing it to restart his heart, that is not really appropriate for this setting). He then gets out a trach kit, opens the sterile packaging and then has someone poor a liquid (isopropyl alcohol maybe?) on it before giving the guy a trach before waiting for the epi to start working. There was so much obviously wrong with this and future events that I couldn't stop getting irritated. The background music was overly dramatic for what was happening and their OR was like a mess. Someone in there slipping all over the blood on the floor like slip-resistant shoes aren't mandatory.
Anyway, I still love So Ji-seob Oppa but this show wasn't for me.

In the meantime, this drama can be found in YouTube under the caption: “On the eve of the wedding, the doctor's wife went crazy to save her husband!” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wUWyR8duEY)

JUSTICE FOR HYUNJAE
This is the first season I've checked out of this show, and I have to say I really liked it! I'm not the biggest watcher of reality tv but my friend suggested this one, so I wanted to try it. I have seen part of the reunion as I'm writing this, but I'm going simply off of the show itself.I really enjoyed this! The games were really fun, I especially enjoyed the guy game in the water. I liked most of the cast, some I thought were boring but I'll get into that. I do wish they didn't spend so much time on Mina Sue and Goeun. They both just got annoying pretty quickly and I was tired of seeing them. I was pretty happy as well with how all the people were coupled up!
For the cast!
Starting with the guys:
-Subeen: He was top three most attractive men on the show for me. I really liked him at first and then was a little unsure about him, then really loved him in the end! He's really sweet and I'm glad we got to see him open up more as the show went on. I think he's super charming and has great chemistry with everyone, but I'm glad he ended up with Heesun in the end.
-Seungil: The seasons it boy. He was also super attractive to me, especially his smile/smirk. He was so kind from the very start which made me really like him. I was rooting for him and Mingee the entire time as well, so I was happy they left together. My favorite moment of his is when him and Mina were in paradise and he called her out for everything she was doing. He really spoke for the audience there.
-Sunghun/Sam: I'm not going to lie I hated this man until his paradise with Heesun. I feel like that was the first time we got to see his true personality and learn more about him. Before that we only really saw him with Mina and I just didn't care for his vibes. In the end he did grow on me but he still wasn't even in my top 5. I wasn't shocked he left with Mina either. Bro had the worst luck ever throughout the show.
Hyeonwoo: He is such a big teddy bear and such a sweetheart. I think the people watching/fans were way too harsh on him for his paradise with Goeun. It obviously didn't go well, but I think he was just nervous. I do think he was a bit of a boring guy, but he was sweet. I wasn't shocked he left by himself. Major props to him too for giving up his paradise too.
Sungmin: I loved this little yapper. He was in my top 5 choices from start to finish. I was a bigger fan of him than I think most were. I wasn't shocked when Goeun chose him either because I knew there had to be a reason she couldn't let him go. Overall I really enjoyed when he was on screen.
Igeon: I recognized him right away from the show the Trunk, so I thought it was cool an actor was on here. That being said, I was not a fan of him to be honest. He was way too cocky for my liking from the start. He just seemed kind of fake to me as well. I think it was maybe because he tried to act cool and nonchalant all the time. He had incredible chemistry with Goeun right from the start, but his cockiness (and talking about another woman constantly) is what bit him in the ass in the end.
Hyunjae: MY NUMBER ONE PICK FROM THE BEGINNING. These girls must've been blind. I still do not understand how he was the least popular out of all the men. Him and Subeen were the most attractive part of the entire cast to me. He also just has such a charming, sweet, and comforting personality. I was happy to see he was one of the most popular amongst the fans/people watching because I really didn't get why no one wanted him. I knew Jooyoung wouldn't pick him in the end, but I still felt bad for him. If these girls don't want him. I'll gladly take him.
Jaejin: Straight up I didn't like this man from start to finish. I never understood why he was the most popular and I still don't. His "I don't care" attitude annoyed me so much. I love him with Jooyoung don't get me wrong. I think they're perfect together. That being said he just annoyed me the entire time.
Now for the girls:
Mingee: The it girl of the season!! My number one girl from start to finish! I love her so much! She's such a baddie! She was the most attractive girl to me too. I loved her chemistry with Seungil so much. I love that if she wants something, she will fight to get it. I feel bad that she had a bit of hard time throughout the series, but I was very happy her and Seungil left together in the end.
Mina Sue: When she first came in up until the truth game, I loved her. I thought she was stunning and she gave off classy vibes...but omg was that vibe wrong. Her constant back and forth was so irritating. I'm totally for wanting to explore other options in a situation like this, that being said she was too much. They just spent way too much time on her. She ended up as one of my least favorite girls for sure. I wasn't shocked she left with Sunghun, but I do believe she just went with him because none of her other options were left.
Goeun: She's stunning but I'm not going to lie she's a little boring. I loved when we got to see her cute and funny side, I loved that part of her, but she didn't show it very much. Her love square with the boys grew old so quickly. Like Mina, they spent way too much time on her. She was never very open on how she was feeling with any of them at all. She clearly had the best chemistry with Igeon, but I don't blame her at all for not choosing him and I wasn't shocked about her choosing Sungmin either.
Heesun: When she first showed up, I thought she was pretty, but I didn't care for her very much. I was shocked how she wasn't popular though because she is so pretty. She grew on me a lot throughout the season and in the end I really loved her. This poor girl had awful luck throughout the show. I loved her two paradise trips because we got to see so much more of her. I was so happy she left with Subeen as well, they easily became a favorite couple of mine.
Jooyoung: I kept getting her and Yejin mixed up in the beginning. Not because of their looks, but because they were both so boring that they were practically invisible. I legit forgot they were there. Her chemistry with Jaejin was fantastic, they felt like a married couple instantly. I was really happy they left together. I wasn't shocked that she didn't choose Hyunjae, personally I think she was never really even going to give him a real chance because she felt so sure of Jaejin.
Yejin: Same thing I said before about Jooyoung. I don't know why she was even here. She had no screen time because she was SO boring. She never even wanted anyone really either so she was pointless. At least Jooyoung had her love triangle, Yejin straight up was there for nothing.
Haeun: She was fun and cute but I also would kind of forget she was there. She got no screen time after she first entered. She still chose Jaejin in the end but we didn't see her try to pursue him at all after the paradise and she was close with Igeon but we didn't even see that either. She was the most forgettable "stir things up" person I've ever seen.
Overall I loved watching the show and hated waiting each week for the new episodes. I can't wait for season six!

This was a crazy ride.
The plot? Abysmal. The chemistry? 1000% on fire.
If you’re looking for a tightly woven story with logic and consistency, this is not it. But—and this is a big but—if you can turn off your brain, you’re in for nonstop laughs and mild hyperventilation from the chemistry between everyone.
At one point early on, I genuinely thought Wu Siyuan had a crush on Xie Xinxu. That’s how unhinged the vibes were.
I binged it in two days. It was so bad at times that it circled right back around to being good. Common sense was lost and never recovered, but entertainment was consistently delivered. The drama is incredibly rewatchable because the people making it clearly didn’t take themselves too seriously—they fully leaned into every trope imaginable, while the actors still gave it their all.
If you want something light, ridiculous, and wildly entertaining, I honestly recommend it.

Stylistic Directing, Sincerity, & a Realistic Couple
This is the first review I've ever done for a vertical drama. Normally these are short simple watches perfect for low-attention spans or palette cleansers, but this drama is different. The setting, directing, acting, and storyline is all amazing. The director is heavily influenced by 90s Hong Kong Cinema. They make references throughout the drama even reenacting the motorcycle scene from A Moment of Romance. There's a poster for In the Mood for Love at the inn as well. The directing style is heavily influenced by this creating beautiful color grading, ethereal filters, lighting, etc. There are split shots and combo shots to include more scenes that normally aren't included in vertical format.
The story is genuinely fun even though some aspects are cliche. It's elevated by realistic and grounded characters that feel multi-dimensional. They have a healthy and equal relationship with good communication and clear boundaries. There are some cute moments or RR throughout as well. The intimacy is so sweet; there are so many warm hugs, cuddles when sick, etc. They're a very realistic couple in love. Most vertical dramas focus on one aspects of relationships, but this one follows through with actual romance and love.
The addition and heartfelt sincerity regarding the ML's grandma and FL's friend was lovely to see as well. It added even more heart to the story.
Bonus points for not whitewashing the characters! The ML has gorgeous tan skin and they didn't bleach it and instead used it to match the beautiful warm color grading. The Hong Kong setting added so much life to the story, it was a character of its own.

IS THAT ALL?? THAT'S IT??
I'm not saying that the movie is bad. But it's a sore disappointment for me.Hear me out. Put down the pitch forks and tiki torches especially Caskey and Jos fans.
Good sides
I the think the concept was a good one
First the acting is very solid from everyone as expected. Chemistry was good too.
The music isn't that special but you can't also write it off
I think overall it's quite enjoyable if you block out your brains and decide not to question the plot.
The Bad and Ugly.
The plot was full of holes that were so glaring
The fact that the aesthetics of the very first trailer which is a chef's kiss is so different from the end product is what bothers me a lot. The very first trailer showed a darker aesthetic and the fact that it out very little was what got me hyped for this series. The shift to a light tone and then try to take itself seriously was just a letdown. It lowered the stakes of the series dramatically.
I mean vampires immune to sunlight, garlic and other traditional methods was a great idea and a good script could have given both villain, anti-hero and protagonists higher stakes but GMMTV had to GMMTV themselves again and ruin it.
A huge plot hole was the villain. I feel like the Apasiri's character (Thara) was just shoved into the twist as the villain just got a twist sake. There was no villain arc or foreshadowing and so she felt like a last minute decision just to get a villain. Her character was just wasted cos Apasiri played the villain to perfection but then the script was huge letdown. Even her powers of precognition and recognition were poorly mishandled.
Another problem I had was the fact that the issue of the Golden Blood was nothing but just barely bones.
-How/When did the vampires first discover this golden blood??
-Who was the first vampire to discover it??
- How does it work for vampires??
-What chemical properties made it "golden"??
-Why was it also dangerous??
A whole lot of questions with this golden blood.
I get that certain things in movies must remain a mystery but this isn't one of them. The series is about the Golden Blood and it's even in the title.
There are a whole lot of questions and problems with the series. I didn't enjoy it at all.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR YOU. YOU'LL ENJOY IT IF YOU CAN SHUT YOUR BRAINS OR YOU'RE JUST A CRAZED FAN OF THE CAST WHO ENJOYES ANYTHING REGARDLESS OF QUALITY.
Shut your brains out and you'll get a blast
