“One Day” announces the birth of a new genre,

I had to think for a couple of days before writing this review because I had to sort out my feelings and thoughts so I could form them into words. Sadly though, mission is not accomplished. No matter how hard I thought about it, it is really hard to put this movie into words. It is a movie that you need to “sense” not “read” about. Thanks to director Lee Yoon-Ki, who is known as an emotional delicate director, the movie had so much charm and beauty added to the already beautiful story.

'One Day' is a healing-fantasy movie about two wounded people, it depicts the story of a man and a spirit with a similar pain and scar who meet each other ‘one day’. One of the reasons I labeled this movie as a new genre is because even though there was no love story going on between the two, the story was very much about ‘love’. It was fascinating to me that loneliness, emptiness, anxiety, and lack of heart of two people could be healed without the ‘I love you, I don’t love you’ format. I can’t even begin to express how captivated I was by the fact that this movie healed wounds without "love" between Kang Soo and Mi So. With all the sorrow in disguise it still managed to be a refreshing new genre.

One of the modest yet profound messages in the movie is when it suggests that a ‘blind’ person should be referred to as ‘blind’ person and not ‘impaired’ (it made a huge difference in Korean language and in my opinion it makes a difference in English as well as my own language).

Kang Soo and Mi So are two people who face each other through their scars and as they get closer, they realize that their wounds are in 'contact'. The best expression I could define them with is, 'window' because they were like a window to each other. On one hand Mi So is Kang Soo’s window to his inner-self and the memories that he locked away after losing his wife. On the other hand, Kang Soo is Mi So’s window to the world.

The story on the surface ‘a living person meeting a spirit’ is not a new material it's been done before countless of times. However, unlike other projects, ‘One Day’ depicts pain and loss in a beautifully healing fantasy. Mi So as a character as her name suggests (her name means ‘smile’), is not just your average spirit, she’s a bright, vivid, warm, sweet and endearing bundle of joy. Watching her smile was all the joy I needed.

The delicate and modest directing of Lee Yoo-Ki takes this fantasy and naturally applies it in our reality without risking the material becoming overwhelming.

Two of the most remarkable points in 'One Day' are Kim Nam Gil and Chun Woo Hee’s golden performance (calling it 'golden' is an understatement). KNG’s charismatic act through his deep expressive eyes even with scenes featuring no dialogues at all has once again swept me off my feet. He embodied Kang Soo and captured every bits and pieces of his pain and sorrow. KNG’s delicate display of Kang Soo’s emotion was top class graceful performance. However, this movie’s heartthrob I shall say is Chun Woo Hee. It is hard enough to play a blind character, but to also have to play a spirit, who on the other hand can actually see, is a challenge on its own. I don’t know how I will adjust to the fact that she’s not Mi So and she’ll be playing other characters in the future but I do very much look forward to her future projects.

Music:
Wonderful instruments combined with exquisite sceneries that had me taking deep breathe several times as I feast my eyes. This is the first time I’m actually happy with the music section in a movie.

Overall:
I’m a person who enjoys dramas a lot more than I do with movies, simply because movies have different format and the fact that they end so quickly doesn’t allow me to connect emotionally as well as I do mentally. Thus, it’s really hard to find a movie that not only do I NOT want to ever finish, but also makes me feel as if I’ve entered a different world. ‘One Day’ is that kind of movie to me, a movie that I never thought I’d come to meet. I went to watch it as a huge KNG’s fan and came out with a movie that I can finally label as an absolute favorite of mine. ‘One Day’ is definitely not a movie for everyone, but it’s a movie that will have you sensing all shades and colors of emotions.'One Day' is a beautiful, fresh, artistic, delicate, ‘feel good’ (despite the sadness) and enriched with classic vibes movie. It has ‘rightfully’ stole my heart. Finally I have met my 10/10 movie.

This drama was absolutely amazing! It's actually what made me a Kdrama addict!

Story: The story itself was so amazing. Seriously, it had everything! Drama, romance, a little bit of comedy, sadness, the whole package! It even taught me loads of stuff about doctors and hospitall-y stuff haha

Acting/Cast: THE CAST WERE GREAT!! Seriously, the acting was amazing. Especially Lee Jong Suk, he really gave this drama life. There were times that the main girl really just had the same facial expression, and I do think the second female lead was a better candidate for the main role but tbh, both girls were amazing!

Music: The music just made me so emotional. The OST's are great!

Rewatch value: The only reason it isn't a ten is because i don't think i could go through the heart breaking scenes again! And the ending was a bit so-so but i'm still planning on rewatching sometime soon!

Loved this little recap and behind the scenes of my favorite drama! You could see that the actors got along really great, they're very talented themselves and the staff did an impressive job of bringing a very popular manhwa to real life!

Although it's kind of sad that such a great series came to the unfortunate ending, but this special episode reminded me of the great times on set and the unforgettable moments during the actual drama. Super worth watching!

What I really love about this drama is the soundtrack. I suffered from LSS (last song syndrome) for 2 good weeks. The songs are bright, airy and soft like a good cuddle.

The male lead is too good to be true to exist. Haha. Nonetheless, I love how raw and unconventional this drama is.

I watched this with a mood for comedy and detective and mystery and got so much more than that. This was literally like more than a twist; It was more of a twirl I swear. There has to be some kind of second season where like the person who plays Yamaneko's part is like a politician or something. I went in expecting typical mystery and got an ACTUAL mystery. This isn't your typical detective/investigation drama.

This drama is relatable and very funny. I love the chemistry between the female lead and male lead. The story is simple yet heartwarming. It is something that I would love to watch for relaxation and if ever I need a good laugh.

What I sort of did not like was the unrealistic physique of the female lead. She is a weightlifter but she was too slender and slim for the role. I am not bodyshaming her. What I want to point out is the fact that she should have better muscle definition (if that's the right term). I should say that the bulky clothing helped a bit in making her look fuller than she truly is.

Nonetheless, this drama is highly recommended.

STORY: The description above sums it up but I have to say that Season 2 was spectacular. It beat all my expectations. The first half of the season was a solid 10. The writing was so damn good. The second half slowed down so I'd give it an 8. Each episode focuses on one of the cast, but does have side scenes of the other members. The episodes of Win and Phu were especially good. Phai's episode stunned me, it was shocking; I don't think I could ever watch that episode again...ever.

One thing that bugged me was that all of the relationships were harmed by one of the partners still being in love with an ex. Why was this theme so overused?? It would have been nice if at least one couple had a healthy and stable relationship where one wasn't still in love with some old flame.

As far as the LGBT themes, there is a girl couple and a guy couple, but not enough screen time was devoted to this topic, and it wasn't presented in a positive way; realistic maybe, but why can't a gay couple be happy?

ACTING/CAST: I liked all the cast but not all the characters. (I wasn't really all that fond of Sprite or Phai, even though the actress playing Sprite is amazingly cute.) Some are better than others and some have one-dimensional presentations or flat performances. Also, missed opportunity for this show, but dammit I wanted MORE POP! He was a great character that was underused!

MUSIC: I am always impressed with Thai drama music. This was no exception. There's a ton of great music here and many original songs. It's apparent some of the cast are also musicians.

REWATCH VALUE: I don't know if I'll watch it all a second time, but I might rewatch the episodes of Win and Phu.

OVERALL: This season rocked. The Movie was slow, Season 1 was OK, but Season 2 knocked it out of the ballpark. Again, first half was better but as a whole it was worth it.

Pride is my all-time favorite jdrama, so I thought it was fitting it deserved 10/10 in all categories. Not only did it hit you in the feels romance-wise, but it also popularized ice hockey and was a truly impressive jdrama on all ends.

Story: What I particularly liked is the balance of drama, romance, comedy, and sports. It is quick paced from the very beginning and I was never bored watching any of the episodes. They focus on the supporting characters as well, so I feel like you really get character depth with most characters. Its depth in the multiple storylines is done well and I like that they actual cover some backstory. Also, this is the best thematic jdrama I have seen. Pride. Maybe, must be. Of the last century. Spring and Fall. It's all woven together so nicely.

Acting/Cast: They absolutely nailed it. I personally think Kimutaku is at his best here. I felt like I was going through all the emotions with him, the way he can fill his eyes with so much emotion is impressive. Plus, Kimutaku and Takeuchi Yuko's chemistry is off the charts. There is something wrong with you if you are not rooting for them. I also thought the supporting characters were well casted as well. Very strong performance from Sakaguchi Kenji (Hotta Yamato) and I even enjoyed Sato Ryuta's sometimes over the top Makoto character.

Music: Queen is great and fitting but what is that instrumental song that is so beautifully embedded in the series? Because that song is killing it. Used so perfectly.

Rewatch Value: I give it a 10 because this is the one (and possibly the only) jdrama that I have watched multiple times. My count is probably at 3 times watched for this drama.

Just randomly picked this movie from my collections. They should put friendship, comedy and food as the genre too though. And yes, if you are searching for romance, this movie is not for you. Barely there romance, yes. I don't know about the manga tho, since it is a webtoon and I rarely read webtoon so I don't know the ending of this manga.

It focus on how the heroine is trying to catch the hero's attention. The movie is very comedic, I laugh often on her ways to attract the guy. It is more on how their friendship blooms, how the guy taught her on life through foods so yeah, their relationship is kind of sweet.

I watched Kawaguchi Haruna's previous drama and I must say she improved a lot in this movie. She delivered that desperate woman's act successfully. This is the first time I watch something with Hayashi Kento, he is good, an eye candy too.

The ending made you want to know more, kind of hoping for a continuation of this movie. This movie is short, about an hour and half only so if you want something light heartening you can try pick this movie. Recommended.

The Hong sisters spew garbage and that’s a fact. I don’t know where this obsession with them came from but I’ve never full enjoyed anything they’ve written - I’ve binged Master’s Sun and Greatest Love but they were just okay for me. Master’s sun was a procedural show in every sense of the word and Greatest love was like playing a game of one step forward a billion steps back. Both had characters that got dragged down by the plot and senseless convoluted metaphors. Big was not like that… at first. Dare I say, I actually enjoyed most of it, more than I have any other Hong sister drama. I heard a lot of bad things about this show but I was so hooked by the first episode I was like maybe it's love at first sight maybe I should just follow my heart... I know I suck.
At first it was funny and engaging and I loved all the characters - even crazy Mari. But if I’m being real maybe I just had my Gong Yoo goggles on. Okay I admit maybe I watched this for him - I have the infinte amount of screechshots on my computer to prove it - but he honestly did such a good job with this character, it was impossible not to love this show at it’s onset. The premise and the way he interacted with every other character and made them better for it, was gold. The non-sensical plot building in the background was easily ignored, until it wasn’t. Until it ate and swallowed everything like a juggernaut with teeth and a hunger for chocolate abs and heartfelt connections. And then shit started to hit the fan with characters being ridiculous just for the sake of it. Suddenly out of the blue ultimatums sprung up - which I honestly should have expected from the Hong sisters but again I was blinded by Gong Yoo. Seriously if a store clerk is like you can only have pretzels or cheetos but you can’t have both, I’m gonna be like why the eff not, this is a free goddamn country I will eat both these salty snacks thank you very much. But in this show (or just the Hong sister universe) characters go “nooooo, I can’t have both. I’m going to be unsatisfied for the rest of my life.” And its like no, you can have both, open your eyes, the only person stopping you from having both is yourself ... and the store clerk I guess? Eff me this metaphor has gotten so convoluted - I watch too many hong sister dramas.
Anyway almost everything that happened as the conflict for this drama happened for no reason. I have never watched a drama with this many people who refused to be happy all for the sake of being unhappy. Literally nothing was stopping them from being together except for their bullshit. And the end? Idc that they didn’t show the real Kang Kyung Joon - cuz I watched this for Gong Yoo - but after all all that I couldn’t get one, fast forward where they were happy together? Whatever, fuck this.

This movie is a really cute film. I enjoyed it a lot. It wasn't over dramatic and had a simple story to tell. The two leads bond over their desires to succeed in each of their own clubs: Ono in brass band and Daisuke in baseball. Both want to get to the finals, however each meets their own struggles along the way.
The actors were really good in this. They showed their character's passion and determination well. I also believe the supporting characters should be admired. This movie doesn't have complicated love triangles but rivals who look out for one another.
If you hate brass band music then this film isn't for you since it is pretty much the soundtrack.
The story wasn't rushed, but did leave some gaps I would have prefered filled.
Anyway...watch this if you are looking for a light story with minimal drama and lots to look forward to.

Story: The story is well-paced and not too draggy. Characters are believable and it gives us a glimpse into the complex relationships between the Xiongnu tribes and the Han Dynasty during Wang Zhao Jun's era. There is the usual court intrigue but the drama also has a good focus on war and brotherhood. I didn't find the romance to be very exciting however, the drama is more historical than romantic in nature. Watch this drama for the historical perspective on the Xiongnu - Han relationship rather than romance.

Acting/Cast: This drama was one of Yang Mi's first dramas, as she acted in this when she was still a 1st year college student. Her age contributed greatly to the first half of the drama and gave us a very innocent and pure Wang Zhao Jun whose inner nature matched her outer beauty. However, for the latter half when Wang Zhao Jun became more independent and an important link between the Xiongnu and the Han, a more experienced actress could have done better. I have no complaints for the other characters, overall a good cast with a good choice for the female lead.

Music: Didn't really stand out, just the usual Chinese historical music.

Rewatch Value: This drama is mostly a one-time watch drama, watch it for the story but I don't think anyone really needs to watch it a second time.

I am a BIG fan of Thailand Series, since the day I decided to watched Love Sick The Series season 1 and 2. And up until now I am still looking for a new drama series that will bring me back to my teenage years. And then I have found Make It Right The Series season 1 and I have been looking forward to see the new season which will be aired soon, according to the news.

While I was waiting for the Make It Right season 2, I have come across Secret Love: Honey Puppy season 1. The first season was not that intense but, I love the different kind of Love that the writer was trying to show. The love story of P'Porshe and Emma and the secret love of P'Pick and Rome. That kind of plot was very interesting and every episodes is something that you must never missed.

Now, i am writing a very short review regarding the first three episodes of Secret Love: Honey Puppy 2 (I never seen the Episode 4 with English sub, so that will be part on my next review.). For me the good thing about this season is the growing feeling of P'Pick towards Rome. i love the way it was being told. P'Pick said that he is or he was a straight guy and will never ever fall in love with the same sex (Rome). He keep on saying that there was no special relationship between him (P'Pick) and Rome. But he didn't realize that his feeling towards Rome is growing into something deeper until P'Din comes into the scene. Surely, in reality you will never know if you really love someone until there another person comes in between and will try to get the attention of the person who means so much more for you. I really love that kind of plot and the way how the writer try to tell the story between P'Pick and Rome. And guys believe me, that always happen in real life not just in TV series.

The love triangle of P'Pick, Rome and P'Din is a much awaited of all (at least for me in this case). I would like to see more of P'Pick side, how far will he go to win Rome. Or will P'Din be the person who try to get Rome from P'Pick. Now the world has turn upside down. As you can recall in the first season it was Rome who initiated to reveal his love toward P'Pick. But in this season, it seems like P'Pick will try to do his best to win Rome's heart. We will see what will happen next in the next succeeding episodes.

On the other hand, the story of P'Porshe and Emma is an example of a love that you have taken for granted. And that is a sad reality. If you love someone you should always find some time to make him/ her happy. Even though your distance apart from each other, you should always make an effort to see him/ her. Regardless of how busy you are in your work and in your studies. P'Porshe and Emma's love story is a very common story with a different endings. Either they will make it up with each other and continue with their relationship. Or be apart from each other and will start a new life with someone else. This is one of most awaited scene in this new episode.

I wanted to know if Friend (the new girl character) is really just a friend or a younger sister to P'Porshe or will she fall in love with him. And will P'Oh will accept P'Porshe in Emma's life. Will there be a chance that P'Night (the new guy character) will be Emma's new boyfriend. These are the questions that I want to have answers in the next succeeding episodes.

So far, this is one of my Most Favorite Series of all. I highly recommend this for everybody to watch. I love to see what will happen next to the story of P'Porshe and Emma and the story of P'Pick and Rome. Again there are so many possible endings. Let us see if one of those endings that we have inside our head will come to happen.

Thank you for reading my first review guys. I hope that you will like it. Again this review is only for the first three episodes of this season. I will soon write my next review after I watch the next succeeding episodes of this season. I love the story and I really hope that there will be season 3.

Just leave your comments and suggestions or violent reactions down below. Thank you guys.

First of all, the drama is good but not very good. The director had a good concept but he Fcd it up with unnecessary things.

I like Park Bo young's acting in this and her previous dramas as well. The others also acted well. The comedy is good. The villian is also good and clever.

This drama shud have been edited to 10 episodes and remove the unnecessary shit out of it. Then it wud have been a very good drama if not amazing. It doesn't deserve a 8.8 rating in MDL in my view. The comedy track with the thugs was useful and funny at first but it deviates from plot towards 2nd half and forms its own drama which the director placed the scenes when the original drama got intense . It's just there not helping the plot or anything.

The Mc has been acting like a teenager with love track. I mean its given he had dated several women but act like a high schooler like his first woman crush. I get it with Fmc becoz she had one crush and didn't date. But with Mc its not acceptable as he wasn't a high schooler or this is a high school drama. The Mc looks too happy for everything.

Finally what i want to say is although it has flaws which are easily noticible it's a good drama worth of 8 / 10.

I hate this movie so much. It's pretty much an absolutely perfect zombie movie, so perfect that I didn't realize I hadn't seen a perfect zombie movie before. But that's why I hate it. I hate it because it captured the tragedy, the hopelessness, the fear, everything, it captured it all perfectly.

Be Warned, should you watch this, have some tissues, and maybe some ice cream, ready.
