When gripped by the haunting past, it's hard to move forward in the present alone
Sunsets Secrets Regrets is a intriguing crime suspense drama which masterfully blended intricate storytelling with deep vulnerable human nature by creating a narrative that slowly unfolded the suspense knots with precision and attention to detail. The drama’s strength lies in its complex characters carrying their own secrets and regrets that drove the story forward. The drama followed three characters—Zhou Jin, Jiang Hansheng, and Jiang Cheng. They grew up in the same alley as playmates and later found themselves entangled in a web of mysteries and personal struggles. Their roles in society, hidden truths, personal demons challenged their fractured relationships more and more.
>>Character Analysis:
•Jiang Hansheng is the emotional core of this drama. He is a man with a troubled past. But he embodied resilience and complexity as revealed further. His character arc was a journey of redemption and self-discovery written boldly in traumatic language. The internal conflict between his desire for justice and the shadows of his own secrets added depth to his complex persona. His obsessive deep love for Zhou Jin revealed that he is a man who is both vulnerable and fiercely protective, making him relatable and compelling.
•Zhou Jin is a character layered with complexity and subtlety. She is intelligent, resourceful, and emotionally guarded. Her past is filled with mystery, and her cautious nature masked deep pain. Her evolution throughout the series is marked by her gradual opening up and confronting her own vulnerabilities after she met Hansheng.
•Jiang Cheng is the brave figure whose calm exterior hided his chaotic inner world. His loyalty towards his friends and his determination to protect his loved ones at all costs made him a pivotal character in this drama. Jiang Cheng’s journey is all about his sacrifice and confronting past with harsh realities. He often acted as the emotional bridge between Zhou Jin and Jiang Hansheng.
•Qi Yan is our main antagonist who binds the lives of our main characters together. His problematic upbringing led him to be a psychopathic murderer who found peace, happiness and beauty in death. The cold-blooded, crooked smile, paired with dramatically paused articulation gave chills!
•Other characters, especially Wang Pangze, the professor was very well portrayed. His admiration, trust and respect for his student Hansheng was boundless. Surely he was more a father figure to him than a professor. So I can't move forward without mentioning this cutie grandpa.
Honestly, I started this drama because I loved Jing Boran in "Regeneration" and, again, his brilliant performance moved me. His sensational, slow-burn chemistry with Elvira was one of the best things about this drama. Initially, his obsessive, observational love towards Zhou Jin bothered me, but as the storyline continued, layer by layer, each and every question of mine was answered. This proved to be one of the best romantic thriller for me. It kept me on the invested in the storyline throughout the series. I enjoyed every minute of it.
This drama balanced suspense with emotional depth very well. The characters were excellently portrayed, as each of them brought unique perspectives and emotional weight to the storyline. It is a must watch for those who appreciate layered storytelling with strong character development. A perfect blend of mystery with romance!

The Phantom Lawyer starts with an intriguing premise and, while it has its flaws, I found it to be an overall enjoyable and engaging watch—especially because of its strong character dynamics and emotional core. One of my main issues was how the main character was portrayed as a lawyer. At times, he felt a bit too naïve for someone in that role, which made it difficult to take the legal aspects seriously.
The romance was another element that didn’t work for me. It felt unnecessary and distracting, taking attention away from what could have been a more focused and engaging storyline. In fact, I found myself more interested in the possibility of the female lead ending up with the second male lead, which felt like it might have offered a more organic emotional arc. Because The Phantom Lawyer isn’t primarily a romance, I found myself judging that aspect more critically.
That said, there were parts I genuinely enjoyed. The collaboration between the male and female leads was a strong point, and their teamwork added some nice moments. I also really liked the bromance dynamic with his brother-in-law—their interactions were genuinely funny and brought a lot of charm to the show.
However, one of the biggest issues is that the show tries to include too many elements—legal drama, romance, and supernatural themes—but doesn’t manage to balance them well. Some plot points felt poorly justified, which made parts of the story frustrating. At times, the pacing also slowed down, making the drama feel a bit boring.
When compared to Oh My Ghost Clients, the difference in writing becomes more noticeable. In that series, the supernatural aspect—especially the idea of being forced into possession—felt more meaningful and better integrated into the story. I think it had more logical aspects and I enjoyed the bromance and teamwork! Another strong point is that the possessed character already had an established, complicated marriage. This works better because he isn’t always himself, so a new romance would feel less believable!in The Phantom Lawyer, the voluntary possession doesn’t make as much sense, especially since it doesn’t seem to lead to clear consequences or rewards (like proper payment), which weakens the stakes.
As for the performances, Yoo Yeon-seok handled the challenge of playing multiple characters quite well. However, because many of these characters are written as very edgy, there are moments where you can clearly feel the “acting,” unlike in some of his previous roles where his performances felt more natural and effortless, almost like he was playing himself. Here, the distinction is more noticeable—not necessarily in a bad way, but it does change how immersive the performance feels.
I also thought Esom did a decent job. This was my first time seeing her in a drama and while she may not have stood out strongly, she delivered a solid and convincing performance.
Overall, The Phantom Lawyer has some enjoyable character dynamics and moments of potential, but it struggles with focus and consistency. The mix of genres, underdeveloped ideas, and weaker narrative execution make it less engaging than it could have been—especially when compared to stronger, better-written series in the same space.
Even so, I’d still rate it around an 7,5/10. I’m aware that my comparison to Oh My Ghost Clients may have influenced my perspective, and I might have judged it a bit more harshly because of that.

A Beautifully Crafted Masterpiece
͙͘͡★ Overall: It's such a beautiful series. JimmySea really know how to act, don't they? The soft intimacy? The eye contact? The dialogues? Everything about this series is so beautiful. Sea absolutely slayed the acting. And why did not one tell me I'll tear up in the beginning of ep 10? The dialogues were so beautiful and meaningful. The ending scene? Absolutely stunning. Seriously the prettiest and the most beautiful series I've seen in a while. Last Twilight is literally a moving masterpiece that is beautifully crafted. The directing is absolutely amazing! I love the meaning — acceptance and hope. I love that it centers around accepting a difficult reality while finding joy, love and hope. The way it symbolises that there is always light at the end of the tunnel — no matter how difficult life has been there is always hope and to never lose that hope. The concept of second chance? Absolutely amazing! They show us that no matter how shitty the past was, giving a chance to the right person is exactly what we need to recover. Do one thing I didn't like if the overused troupe of One character being away from the other for several years.͙͘͡★ The metaphorical meaning: The word "Last Twilight" serves as a metaphor for profound, life-changing transition, echoing the journey of the characters as they navigate their own (and each other's) personal struggles and at the same time finding a (for them) very significant and enduring love.
͙͘͡★ The "Last Light": The title represents the final days of vision for Day, metaphorically highlighting the beauty and fear of his remaining sight before facing permanent darkness.
͙͘͡★ Characters:
જ⁀➴ Mhok (Jimmy Jitaraphol): Mhok is a man burdened by his past and his regrets. Though he has a "rough" exterior, he still has a bottomless well of empathy. He becomes Day's eyes, not out of obligation but out of pure love. His love is practical, grounded, beautiful and fiercely protective.
જ⁀➴ Day (Sea Tawinan): Day is a fallen star. Having gone from national athelete to someone who the world pitys — someone who is termed as "disabled." He wants the world to see him as a normal human who doesn't want any extra care.
જ⁀➴ Night (Mark Pakin): Night is Day's older brother who is burdened by his guilt. He wants Day to talk to him like they used to when he (Day) was still able to see. Night has something called the "survivor's guilt."
જ⁀➴ Porjai (Namtan Tipnaree): As Mhok's ex-girlfriend and best friend, she advises in him every way she can. As a pregnant woman navigating her own crossroads, she represents life's persistence. She provides a soft, wise perspective on forgiveness and moving forward even when the path isn't what you originally planned. She shows that you can make a family out of people who are willing to stay.
જ⁀➴ August (Ohm Thipakorn): As Day's ex-badminton partner and initial crush in the story, he represents "what could've been." He embodies the complexity of how friendships change when life-altering situations happen.
જ⁀➴ Gee (Film Rachanun): Though she is not shown much in the series, she's a bright and cheerful character who supports and advises Day in need. She is a reminder that even in your darkest chapters there are still people who'll stay by your side for you being you.

Simple and pleasant
Well, the dialogues would have more better. The screenplay and the cinematography was quite good. The acting was better too.The story was simple and pleasant with a good message. It also shows that despite having money some people are still lonely. Short , simple i will recommend to you to watch , it won't take much time it's super short series. Both the leads were good in their part. The gurl also played quite well. But as i said the story should have been more emphasized and the dialogues too should have been more detailed. Was this review helpful to you?

Beautifully Shot, Narratively Fragile
You don’t need to question the aesthetic and cinematography of this director, but as usual, you should question the plot hahaha.I love this drama, all characters are interesting, and I like how Lu Wuyi-Ji Ling and Wu Wangyan-Wu Shuguang’s stories are equally good (side-eyeing MJTY). The actors’ acting is so good, I think so far this is Ju Jingyi’s best role, she suits Lu Wuyi so much. The music is on point. The CGI in the earlier episodes was so bad, only getting better in the final episodes. This drama is so good it made me binge-watch it. But I hate how the plot holes seem so obvious, like they don’t care as long as the cinematography is good.
SPOILER
-I still don’t understand the twin butterfly demons. At first I thought they became Yan Wuhuo (they became one). Then there’s a scene where the twins’ image overlapped with Li Jie and Yan Wuhuo (in the illusion world), I thought it implied that they’re the twins. But then the scene shows the general died and he can come back to life because of the butterfly demon’s cocoon, and Yan Wuhuo also came into being, so I’m back to square one. At the end it was revealed that they’re both born from the original Yan Wuhuo’s obsession. So where are the butterfly demons? It’s kinda confusing.
-Well, talking about the butterfly demon, at the beginning they always talk with their hand in front of their mouth, but later they don’t do that anymore and there’s no difference. I thought some catastrophe would happen if they opened their mouths freely, so I guess it was just for show? To look mysterious maybe hahaha.
-The weasel’s father suddenly appears and saves the day. No one questions how he can be there? And when the others come out of the illusion and see the weasel crying while holding his father’s stick, without the weasel explaining anything they somehow know that his father sacrificed himself and fought Jiu Ying’s fragment?
-When Lu Wuyi told her rewind story to Ji Ling, we saw her grab black clothes (similar to what she wore when she stole the manuscript). But in the later flashback, she’s wearing white clothes in the 1st-18th rewinds. Then in the last rewind scene (I suppose the real rewind) she’s wearing black.
-Lu Wuyi severed her tails so she could talk to Ji Ling as a doll. It wasn’t explained how many/which tail she cut. The scene was also kinda vague, at first I thought she was gonna cut them all, but then in the next frame she was sitting on the floor and we could still see her tails.
-The height differences between Lu Wuyi and Ji Ling are inconsistent. Sometimes she only reaches his shoulder, sometimes she’s taller than that. It’s not a modern drama where we can see the character wearing high heels or flat shoes.
-After Ji Ling successfully removed Lu Wuyi from the original timeline, what happened to him in the original timeline then? We saw him trying to kill himself (prevented by Lu Wuyi, but now there’s no Lu Wuyi), so I guess he survived because he has dragon scale inside him. But why do people act like he doesn’t exist? Lu Wuyi’s timeline is only 50 years ago, and Ji Ling has become the dragon lord for more than 50 years. So what happened then?
-At the ending, Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi (seemingly) go to another timeline/universe. Are they having amnesia? Are they born again and starting anew as babies with no memories? Because they seem like they don’t know each other.
There are many more plot holes that I haven't listed, and many of them actually (imo) impact the main story, not just unnecessary plot holes like the height difference. Go ahead and watch it and just ignore the inconsistency of the story. And for people who say there’re no plot holes and that you just have to focus on watching the story, there are plot holes, okay. Plenty of them aren’t explained well even in the final episode. Stop glorifying this producer. He’s good at cinematography, but he doesn't really care about the plot, just like his other dramas.

A beautifully made drama that truly deserves a perfect score
This drama was an amazing experience from beginning to end. What I loved most is how naturally everything was built — the story, the emotions, the characters, and the overall atmosphere all felt meaningful without being forced. The story kept me interested throughout, not only because of what happened, but because of how the characters reacted and grew. Every important moment felt earned, and the emotional scenes were handled with sincerity. It never felt empty or exaggerated.
The acting and cast were excellent. The performances made the characters feel real, and the chemistry between them made the drama even more enjoyable to watch. Even the quieter scenes had impact because the actors carried them so well.
The music also added a lot to the experience. It matched the mood beautifully and made many scenes more memorable without overpowering them.
Overall, this is the kind of drama that stays in your mind after finishing it. It was emotional, well written, well acted, and very satisfying. I would definitely recommend it, and I can easily see myself rewatching it again.

Must watch. Underrated Gem.
Really really really good series. It didnt feel like a mini but a full length drama to the point I wanted to comment and recommend it 100/10. Very wholesome. Definitely in the 8.5 mdl range for me. The leads communicate and the ml isn't let off v easy without communication from FL about all the times he misunderstood her. Great chemistry and skinship esp the parents relationship with the kids really elevated my score from 8.5 to 9.5. If u want to rematch the best thing but dont have the time, this is a perfect alternative. Gr8 rewatch value tooWas this review helpful to you?

A Heartwarming Entertaining With Sweet Characters!!
“Phantom Lawyer” doesn’t offer a horror comedy suspended by logic, it is just a lighthearted entertainer!!The story is centered around a kindhearted yet eccentric attorney, Sin I Rang. He is unwaveringly kind, naive yet has a strong sense of justice. Unfortunately, his budding career is stained by his late father’s bad reputation, leading him to opened his own practice. The only glitch being that he unknowingly open his new office in a former shaman’s house. The walls are stuck with odd talismans and each time, one of them falls down, Sin I Rang is stuck with a new ghost. Unaware of their name and origin, the ghosts hang around Sin I Rang until he figures out their identity and seeks justice for them. The story holds ground most of the time, but the odd pacing literally outweighs Sin I Rang’s gullible nature at times. Even his family is as kindhearted as him, openly adapting & welcoming the incoming horde of ghosts. Throw in some unwarranted romance with rival turned love interest, Han Na Hyeon, and we have a potboiler ready!!

Peaked when the romance was not happening.
I had such a strange journey with this drama - full of ups and downs and changing expectations. At first I loved the soft angst with no context that Cen Jin and Li Wu delivered whenever they were on screen. The chemistry was undeniable and I could not wait to figure out what happened in the past and how they will fix it in the present. Then the “past” plotline started to have more and more presence in every episode - all cute, no fire. Was I disappointed? Somehow. But the more time I’ve spent watching Li Wu and Cen Jin bond as a family, the more I enjoyed that part of the plot. I switched my preferences mid show. That’s when I started to wish this was not a romance, but a found family trope at its core.
The final nail to the coffin was the big revelation - the explanation of the past conflict that led to the separation. Sometimes the clash is so dumb you start to think ”You know what? Maybe they actually should not be together, make this permanent, let them move on” - this is how it was for me with this show.
And that’s a huge issue, because both Cen Jin and Li Wu were not much outside of their relationship. She had some struggles, he had some, but most of them were not truly developed or solved early on. Any business adventures? I could not care less.
It had a solid cast of supporting characters, but even they lost my interest closer to the end. In the last 6 episodes I was mentally and emotionally checked out.
Acting wise it was great. Michelle Chen did a fantastic job portraying Cen Jin in different stages of her life. Whenever her 20s or 30s, the presentation was realistic. Sure, there were a few scenes where the production team did not quite manage the lighting right, and in her 20s shots she looks a bit too old for the role, but these were literally a few scenes in the whole show, easy to ignore. Daniel Zhou did such a phenomenal job as a teen, I did not quite buy the adult version of the character. While I could see how Cen Jin changed and matured through the years, I did not see the same with Li Wu.
Overall, I think that’s the problem with starting a drama with peak tension - you can only go down from there.

A spoiler-free review of Romance of a Twin Flower
Overall, the story is interesting enough to keep you watching, though it isn't always delivered perfectly. 🤨 At times, the plot lacked logic or felt slightly incomplete. The visuals lean more toward those of a lower-budget drama, but they were sufficient for my taste and didn't detract from the experience. While some of the supporting performances felt unconvincing or weak, I actually grew to love the music and the atmosphere of the show quite a bit! 🤗Ultimately, my main—and honestly only—reason for watching was Ding Yuxi (the male lead). As always, he absolutely shone in his role and made the entire journey worth it! 🌟👏❤️
Note: I tried to give a fair rating for acting, but my heart didn't allow to give it lower because of Ding Yuxi.

A Test of Patience Redeemed Only by the ML
If there were ever a drama that required one to completely switch off one’s brain to survive the plot, this is certainly it. This short drama feels like a relic from the early days of vertical short dramas, clinging to outdated and frankly exasperating social tropes. The story follows Lin Qing Qing, who suffers through an agonizing amount of public humiliation due to a gynecological misdiagnosis. The "slut-shaming" she endures from her colleagues and the relentless pressure from her traditional mother—who seems obsessed with nothing but marrying her off—is incredibly difficult to watch in this day and age. The mindset presented is frustratingly regressive.
The sole reason to stay for this series is the male lead, Zou Ke Jun. His screen presence and performance as the ex-boyfriend turned attending physician are the only saving graces. He manages to bring a sense of comfort and stability to an otherwise chaotic and logically-challenged narrative. If you can endure the "moral play" cliches of the past, watch it for him. Otherwise, keep your hand on the fast-forward button.

enjoyable show
My influence is so small . I enjoy this show . so I want to express my love for this show . I actually never thought that I would love a drama that the leads already married but I was wrong . I just never meet the right one. This drama is so beautiful even though it’s not totally something new but I still find it enjoyable. The lack of communication of couple is so realistic and how they find each other spark again is well written. I could feel their struggle and hard moments before they finally open up to each other again . The rating here is so cruel but we have different opinions so I respect all .Was this review helpful to you?

I don't know why but I gave me the feeling of my first dramas. A little bit of nostalgia even though It don't look like my first dramas. I didn't expect anything coming from this drama, I didn't even read the synopsis to be honest. And I was happily surprised.
The tension, the yearning, the fear. Everything was great and made my heart beat.
I loved the two secondary couple (If I can call them like that). We didn't see much of them but they were always funny and cute.
Please Sand leave your man for me. I'm in love with her, she is one of the most beautiful women and funny.
I loved the Naga and Garuda, they were well made.
PS: I didn't expect see that much butt x)

A deep bond between two broken soul that don't usually trust anyone. They suit each other well. And I loved how they treat Shao Peng being deaf.
Zi Xiang sleeping in the closet made me want to do it. Idk why but behind in closet seems comfy???
Johnatan is one of the best character, he was so funny. I loved his relationship with Zi Xiang.
Please can we stop putting useless secondary couple. If you put a secondary couple, show them, developp their relation, don't treat them as guest role....

A happy conclusion yet tragic
Characters:For people not familiar with wuxia, the large cast is overwhelming but it's honestly one of the best parts of cdramas set in the jianghu. The numerous friends, mentors, loves you meet throughout the story are incredible. The ties between the previous generation and current generation in the jianghu add so much depth and meaning to this story, how the new generation will learn and correct the mistakes and injustices of the previous. I do have to say the large cast means they can kill off so many characters, the heartache of seeing one after another person die, even if its seeing their death in the past :((((
CPS the woman you are! She's so legendary, she's left her mark everywhere. Not even just her, the women of Luoying Valley. Absolutely iconic!
BRO I HATE THE FOUNDATION. WHY IS THERE NO SHADE MATCHING FOR ZHAO ZHAO, AND YOU CAN TELL THE FACE SHADE IS WHITER THAN THE NECK AND ARMS SO MANY TIMES. THE WHITEWASHING OF SKIN IS SO IRRITATING. SHE'S LITERALLY TRAVELING OUTDOORS ALL THE TIME SHE CAN BE TAN. Anyways. Moving on.
Story:
I think this story really hits on the never ending cycle of vengeance, the injustices that keep on occurring while following the status quo, and the dangers of prejudice. So often the characters are 死腦經 like can we use some critical thinking? But I think that was also the point. Everyone's so caught up in the prejudices and injustices of previous generations it just keeps going.
I would've liked a little more romance, but I also liked seeing the various storylines following all the side characters as well. ZZ and MQY were really cute. Lowkey MQY was toeing the line with how manipulative he was... but it was ok since ZZ could see through it every time and call him out for his BS and keep him in line. I so wish we got to see them traveling the jianghu after marriage.
Music:
清風醉 is such a nostalgic yet joyful song. Every time it plays, I see everyone together and happy, and yet seeing everyone together reminds me of all the people that have already left and the fleeting joy they had. Such a masterpiece of a song!
Overall, recommend for a watch! I don't understand the low rating, definitely an underrated drama.
