I love this drama so much

I thought it would be an exaggerated one since the plot seems like that, but the way the cases focuses more on the personal lives of the ghosts is impressive for me the comedy is great too one of the things that I learned from this drama is to say what you want when you have the time because you will regret it later in your life ,some scenes made me cry too the one with Lee Gang Pung and lastly the case of Shin -I-Rang's father, Shin-Gi-Jung .The casting is great too it's my first time watching Esom in a drama and I'm amazed ,all the actors didn't disappoint

Sometimes we don’t need answers to all questions - the unknown is what’s scary.

Peaked in episode 2, when it was all about survival. Started to dig a hole to die in in episode 5, crossed the path to the afterlife in episode 8, just to have an unnecessary resurrection comeback with after credits scene. Some things should stay dead, and this drama is one of them.

I'm disappointed that I‘m disappointed. I loved the first four episodes when I knew nothing, the characters knew nothing, people were dying and almost dying and the fear of the unknown and unexplained was the horror of it all. But then they slowly started to explain the lore and the motivation of the ghosts and the supernatural and the origin of the app - it all became boring, leading to many illogical choices done by the characters. Making mistakes and making dumb decisions when you don’t know anything is passable. Making dumb decisions when you have a grasp of what is dumb and what is not is inexcusable.

And I’m not one to get annoyed by dumb characters in horror movies - this is literally the feature of the genre. If they were smart the plot would not happen. But there are limits to how dumb you can make the characters before it turns into comedy.

I found the truth of the app's origin underwhelming and ridiculous and not strong enough to have such a big impact in terms of supernatural consequences. Similarly they failed to give a proper motivation to one of the main antagonists of the drama - why were they doing what they were doing? Why does their reasoning change every few minutes? We all know - the plot needed it, so it happened.

Yoo Se A? One of the most boring characters in any horror. Matched with no personality Kim Geon U. They worked in their rom-com moments, I adored these, but anything outside of that was not quite delivered in terms of writing. I kept wishing they would switch the focus on literally any other character.

Preferably to Kang Ha Jun, Bang Ul and Haetsal - this is the trio I actually enjoyed the most. Do I want a second season? No. Do I want a spinoff of their supernatural investigations? Yes. Any scenes with these three were the best aspect of the whole plot and the show. They literally had the best dynamic and relationships. The skeptic that has a bad relationship with his sister who is a shaman, and her boyfriend that tries to make it all work.

And can we talk about Roh Jae Won as Bang Ul? The whole drama I more or less did not care about anyone’s safety, but his. The way Roh Jae Won was able to deliver solid comedy without breaking the tension of the horror - amazing performance.

What’s good? I guess the production. While the design of the ghosts and supernatural was not innovative at all and had that “catch a ghost” app vibe to it, it was delivered in a decent manner. The gore was good, the blood looked like blood and they did not shy from using a lot of it. What’s more, we did not see unreasonable fountains of blood from any wound that happened - yes, there was a lot, but in the realm of reality and possibility.

Overall, they overexplained it all. The best part of the horror genre is leaving some questions unanswered. With thrillers you want the mystery to be solved, with horrors you want to leave the ambiguity of explanation, because the unknown is what's scary.

The Best!

This drama is truly exceptional. The cast is perfectly chosen, and every actor delivers a powerful yet natural performance without any unnecessary melodrama. The storytelling is heartfelt and immersive, pulling you in from the very beginning. It takes you on a deeply nostalgic journey back to your childhood and teenage years, filled with warmth, emotions, and relatable moments. The direction, pacing, and soundtrack all come together beautifully to elevate the experience. It’s the kind of drama that stays with you long after it ends. Without a doubt, it’s the best K-drama I’ve ever watched.

amazing would watch again!

It was a series that I didn’t want to finish that probably sounds ridiculous but genuinely I didn’t want it to end knowing that it was gonna end was almost as sad as the episode episodes!

I loved all the cast. Everybody played their roles really well and I was so worried at the end that we weren’t gonna get a happier ever after for the main characters. It was cheesy. It was cute but mixed in with all the emotional strong cases and the storylines it was just such an easy comfort. Watch it just had everything without anything being too much.

Obviously, they were very emotional episodes based on the fact that it was ghosts who were murdered or mistreated et cetera but I think they were dealt with with such care and the storylines all made sense. There wasn’t just a random that doesn’t make sense why they did that sort of moment everything had a part to play and it was just so nice to watch!

I’m curious whether they’ll do like a season two. I feel like the bad lawyer son was staring very strangely in the office and then the fact that there was another new ghost? Could there be a new storyline maybe for a season two? I know K dramas don’t do a lot of season twos and I’m not saying a season two would be amazing but I think it would be interesting with these characters fun lighthearted mystery suspense tense emotional it’s just got the full mix!

A lightweight drama

Of all the "female general" themes where the woman disguises herself as a man, this isn't the best but it's also far from the worst. And the female actress did a pretty fantastic job in being believable in her different personality modes. The story itself is relatively straight-forward with a decent plot pace. You have a few tropes here and there with a doppelganger and situations that just happen to be placed perfectly with everyone happening to come across someone. But it's also a series that you aren't supposed to take too seriously and one to just enjoy for the characters and their interactions.

While it's slightly a little too heavy handed on the number of couples and their romances for me personally, it was still at least done in an acceptable way. It's also one of the few series where I really think the 2ML is a much better fit for the FL. There is some chemistry with the main ML and the FL but there was just so much more with the 2ML. Especially because he's far more capable and was also the only one who immediately appreciated her for herself unlike the main ML. So the few drops of tears that fell from the series were for the 2ML.

I think this is a good series to try if you're looking for a good balance of genres between politics, romance, humor, etc. There isn't anything that is done too heavy-handed and there aren't excessive melodramatic tragedies to sit through. Most of the actors did a really good job in bringing out their characters and while the series isn't one to be the most memorable, I still appreciated its entertainment.

watch if you just wanna relax

The drama itself feels cozy, calming, and comforting — something you can watch just to relax, even though it’s technically a drama. However, it can be quite boring at times, since it lacks dynamics, so I ended up skipping some parts.
The main characters are decent, and their past is described in detail, but again, it was a bit dull to follow. Slightly dull. The cast is great, and the leads look good together — their acting is solid, though nothing particularly outstanding.
The atmosphere of the film industry is portrayed well. The production is good, but because of the lack of dynamics (even though the drama was clearly intended to be calm and slow-paced), it can feel tiring to watch at times.
The plot isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t recommend it — the actors have stronger projects individually.

A crime genre overlayed with charm and silliness

This was an entertaining and charming series that encounter multiple crime arcs with our group of feisty individuals. The main character highlight would be Dongbang Yu Bin who really showed great leadership over the team. The pacing was pretty steady with each arc taking up two or three episodes. The crimes themselves were somber but the approach to resolving them included a mixture of over-the-top humor as well as a more intricate analysis from Dongbang. I appreciated how they highlighted the clues to his method allowing the audience to actually think for themselves a little.

As for the team, my biggest gripe is how little character development there was with them. It would have been great to have seen a more toned down incompetence with the new leadership. But at the same time, their flaws also makes them quite realistic as it's hard for people to change. The leadership approach from Dongbang is also really well done. He doesn't try to change them and never even really punishes them for their mistakes. Instead, he finds ways to work with their strengths and simply accepts their weaknesses. Nevertheless, it seems the producers just wanted to really emphasize the humorous aspect to it instead of finding a better balance. With this note, they also could have toned down on the bodily function scenes because after the first or second time, it stopped being funny.

Overall, this is a good series to pick up if you want to see a feel-good team bond who tackles multiple crime scenarios and have a few laughs along the way.

Not my cup of tea.

It’s definitely one of those hype dramas that a lot of people are talking about, but personally, I’m just not feeling it at all. I tried to get into the story, but it didn’t really pull me in—everything feels a bit flat and predictable. The pacing didn’t help either, and nothing really stood out enough to keep me invested.

The chemistry between the leads is honestly the biggest issue for me. It just feels off. Even with so many kissing scenes—which I assume are there to attract viewers—it still doesn’t translate into real emotional connection. It ends up feeling more forced than natural, like they’re trying too hard to convince the audience instead of letting the chemistry build on its own.

I won’t deny that they’re both good actors individually, but together, there’s just no compatibility. Something about their dynamic doesn’t click, and it makes their scenes hard to watch. I’ve seen XRH in her other dramas, and while she’s decent, her projects tend to have the same vibe—nothing really fresh or different, so it starts to feel repetitive after a while.

ZLH rarely has issues when it comes to chemistry with his co-stars—except this one. For some reason, with her, it just doesn’t work at all.

A contrast between my expectations and reality; neither particularly great nor truly bad

At first, I was genuinely drawn to the storyline. It follows two students who are complete opposites, just as the title suggests. One is an introverted academic achiever, while the other is a popular, extroverted campus sweetheart with a passion for soccer. This dynamic sets up a solid foundation for how their relationship develops into a love story.

However, as the ploo progresses, I found myself getting bored with its weak execution and pacing. I understand that this isn’t meant to be a heavy, dramatic BL, but even the element of yearning, something Japanese BLs are especially known for, didn’t quite resonate with me here. That said, the twist involving Akira and Kanda was genuinely shocking. I couldn’t help but feel bad for Akira, given the implications of what he’s going through.

On a more positive note, the main leads are undeniably attractive, especially Kanata. I also appreciate when younger actors are cast in student roles, as their natural youthfulness adds authenticity and charm to the characters. While I didn’t expect overly intimate scenes given their age, I do wish the romantic moments had been pushed a bit further for a stronger impact.

Overall, the drama isn’t bad. It has its highs and lows, but it also shows potential for something truly remarkable with stronger execution.

Actor is hot. Main idea is good. Subplot is boring.

Gotta admit I come here for the ML after watching "Perfect Crown". He’s still hot in this one, but in "Perfect Crown", he's hotter with that restrained, mysterious vibe.

The FL is good too. But honestly, neither of their roles is that demanding in terms of performance, so there isn’t much for them to really show. That also makes things less interesting. So it’s up to the story to be interesting, but...

Let me first say that I can see what the main plot is trying to do. It’s aiming at gender issues in Korea - things like homophobia and patriarchy - which are serious topics. So I do give them credit for that. There are also some moment that lands well at the right time, like the ML’s dance scene which I actually enjoy.

But the subplots, which probably take up around 75% of the movie, feel mundane, repetitive and nothing new. It’s just another retelling of familiar stories that once you’ve consumed enough media, it starts to feel dull. And it leads you to the point that you'd rather detach from it all rather than sit through it again.

So yeah, to sum it up: good actors, extra points for a hot ML and a meaningful intention behind the story. But overall, still quite boring. Definitely not something I’d want to spend money on or sit through for two hours in a theater.

----------------------------------

Note 1 :
If the full score is 10 - it's 5.5 from me.
But when the full score is 5 - it's 2.5 from me.
There's still much room for this movie.

Note 2 :
Someone on Douban said they liked the drama version more, so I gave it a try. But for me, the movie version is more engaging and easier to sit with.

I love how the ML fell in love immediately with the other ML. I really can't see 8 episodes being enough. This series could easily have a 2nd season. So far the secondary couple are rockin' it. They have chemistry by the truck loads and their NC scenes are hot. The music is a little strange during those scenes; I'm not really sure it's working. This series probably should have been 12 episodes or at least 10.

The combination of action, comedy, romance and crime story works on so many levels. The 2 MLs are brimming with chemistry. I honestly can't see how this ends well with the main ML being a gang leader, but I definitely want to experience the full ride. I'll continue the review as the movie progresses so ignore whatever I put next just to make the word quota xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxcxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxcccxcccxc

Warm and fuzzy

Honestly I'm leaving a review to counteract some of the awful ones that have already been given. This was a delightful Sweet slice of Life series. The male lead and the female lead developed in their relationship as mature adults and caregivers and also developed a slow burn romance. It was heartwarming to see the development of an unconventional family. I thought both the male lead and the female lead were excellent, but the baby absolutely stole the spotlight!

Go watch it RIGHT NOW.^◡^.

This had been on the PTW list for a while now and idk why I took so long to getting around to watch it.

All I can say is there really are masterpieces out there that we haven't watched and don't know what we are missing out on.
It's experiences like this that show me that there are so many fantastic shows to watch. It's just that they havent yet made their way to us. This fact makes me sad. May all those shows that will leave a spot in our hearts find us.

Whoever is second guessing to watch this, don't miss out on such a show. Just watch it.

From the story, to the acting, to the music 10/10. It lit up the giddy child in me.
I'm talking giggling in bed, pausing and rewinding, reminiscing, feeling alive, 2nd hand embarrassment, and puttting yourself in the characters shoes (some things seem cringy when viewed in a straight lense but when viewed in a yeah I've done that when I'm crushing on someone lense, it's fun)
