A masterpiece that keeps you hooked

The series is a masterpiece, and I couldn’t stop watching. The actors are exceptional, and the viewer becomes fully immersed, truly believing in the story. The chemistry between the actors is palpable and grows throughout the episodes into a very well-built connection. The setting is interesting and breaks away from the usual BL tropes. I hope season 2 comes out as soon as possible, because it’s been a long time since I’ve felt this eager while waiting for a new episode.

A Love Story That Finally Feels Right....

Yumi’s Cells Season 3 continues Yumi’s journey as she grows both personally and professionally, all while navigating a new chapter of love. As her world expands, her ever-chaotic (and lovable) cells are back to guide her through emotions, decisions, and the ups and downs of a relationship that slowly blossoms into something meaningful and real.

I was absolutely in love with this season. It felt like everything Yumi had been building toward emotionally finally came together in a way that was satisfying, warm, and genuinely comforting to watch.

If anything, the only downside is that it was just 8 episodes...it honestly could have easily been 12. Once the romance really got going, I wasn’t ready to let go, especially because the chemistry between the leads was so natural and easy that you just wanted more time with them.

Story — 9/10
This season feels more focused and emotionally mature, tying together Yumi’s growth in a really satisfying way. It doesn’t rely on unnecessary drama, instead choosing to highlight the beauty of steady, evolving love.

Acting — 9/10
Kim Go Eun continues to absolutely own this role, bringing so much nuance and relatability to Yumi. The male lead complements her perfectly, and together they create a dynamic that feels effortless and believable.

Romance — 9.5/10
The romance in this season just hits differently. The chemistry between the leads is so natural, and they truly feel like a couple that fits, once it gets going, it’s soft, genuine, and incredibly easy to root for.

OST — 8.5/10
The OST blends beautifully with the tone of the series, enhancing both the emotional and lighthearted moments. It may not be the most standout soundtrack, but it perfectly supports the storytelling.

Overall Vibe — 9.5/10
This season has such a warm, comforting, and emotionally satisfying vibe. It feels like watching someone finally get the love they deserve, and it leaves you with that soft, happy feeling that lingers after the final episode.

Yumi’s Cells Season 3 feels like a reward for sticking with Yumi’s journey. With beautiful chemistry, a grounded love story, and emotional payoff that truly lands, this season is easily one of the most satisfying and honestly, I just wish we had more episodes to live in that happiness a little longer.

Classic Rom-Com that Reminds You of the Good Old Days

Firstly, if you want to watch a drama with deep plot, heavy palace politics and angst, I’m afraid to say that you are watching the wrong drama. Perfect Crown is silly, cute and fluffy – it’s a rom-com, it’s supposed to be like that. Perfect Crown does not promise an intricate plot and complex characters, what it promises is a fluttering romance and lots of giggles and laughter which it delivers to a perfection.

Seong Huiju is a stubborn, strong-willed and driven character who demands every opportunity that her rivals enjoy. She is not fighting for social equality, but for what she deems as her right. She is kind in her own way, as well as selfish in her own right. Her character is not written to be relatable or even liked, but to be enjoyed.

Prince I-An on the other hand is the epitome of perfection. Unlike Huiju, he is supposed to be liked - both by the viewers and the other characters within the drama. It’s quite literally in his job description. He is pretty, kind, regal, sassy and a hopeless romantic, what else do we need? But he also has hidden ambitions. I-An has always been forced to dim his shine so as to not overshadow others and has an unspeakable desire for power which only Huiju understood.

The overall plot is pretty straightforward, it’s neither novel nor unpredictable. It does not force you to think deeply but allows one to simply enjoy the ride. The romance is fluttering, the comedy actually delivers and there's just enough suspense and plot to keep the story moving. It takes tropes that we have already seen many times before and does it so well that you can’t help but appreciate it and bathe in the nostalgia of the old rom-coms that we used to love so much.

The drama does not bank on natural acting and realism but rather relies on exaggerated scenarios, expressions and dialogues to create drama and comedy. Again, that’s the genre, it does not translate to bad acting. IU and Byun Wooseok are both talented actors and they balanced the dramatic and exaggerated expressions, as well as sincere and heartfelt moments really well. The other cast members also did a wonderful job here to make it a fun and interesting watch.

Perfect Crown is visually pleasing with beautiful cinematography, stunning costumes and pretty styling. I especially loved I-An’s outfits with the fusion of traditional and modern style. The OSTs are also really good and matched the tone of this drama really well.

Honestly, I understand the people who wanted Perfect Crown to be more than a silly rom-com. This drama has an interesting premise with modern day Joseon dynasty and constitutional monarchy, social hierarchies among nobles and commoners, and characters with dubious intentions. Was there a huge potential for a complex plot to be explored? Absolutely yes! In a different genre, it would make a really gripping story. But do we need it to be explored here? Not really. This drama is, by all rights about the romance between Huiju and I-An, anything and everything else is subsidiary and simply not the point. If you love plot-driven dramas with depth, there are hundreds of dramas out there for you to enjoy but I think it's unreasonable to expect a drama to be something it never promised.

Now, I'll admit Perfect Crown wasn't quite perfect either. It has its fair share of flaws and personally, the final arc could've been done better. The writing fumbled near the end; the pacing got a little shaky, character motives fell flat and a few loose ends were left unattended. Given the buildup of the first 8 episodes, I couldn't help but feel a little unsatisfied with how they decided to wrap up the story.

But did I still finish the drama smiling? Yes, I did! Despite the flaws, Perfect Crown was totally worth the watch. Just know what you are getting into - don't expect an intricate plot and complex characters, don't try to analyze everything and just enjoy the ride. Watch this for the romance and giggles, and you'll find Perfect Crown to be one of the best rom-coms made as of late.

Funny

I am on episode 6 and I laughed so much until now.

If you just look at it as a light-fun drama, you can really enjoy it. I have no idea where this is going, but I am enjoying every minute!

I am usually not into pure comedy, when it comes to kdramas, but this one is purely enjoyable for me.

I will update my review once I finish it, but it has been an absolute pleasure until now.

this was undoubtedly my most favorite season of Yumi’s Cells!

kdramas have been disappointing me a lot lately. but with Yumi’s Cells Season 3, for the first time in a long time, I was able to watch a kdrama without being disappointed in a single thing. there was not one boring or disappointing moment, it was lovely from beginning to end.

I know a lot of people had their reservations with the pacing and/or how rushed or unnatural it felt for them to fall in love with each other so fast. but to me, it was oerfect. we see that Soon Rok has basically liked her from the very beginning, but he didn’t want a workplace relationship and was trying to draw the line. as for Yumi, even though it felt like she went from hating him to liking him so fast, it didn’t feel unnatural to me. sometimes all it takes is one simple moment for you to fall for someone.

Go Eun as Yumi was as amazing as ever. Yumi finding no joy or excitement in anything was so relatable. her cells coming back to life from Soon Rok’s presence from just how much he was pissing her off was so entertaining to watch😂

Soon Rok’s ability to compartmentalize his work life and private life was so impressive. his robotic expressions and lack of social skills in the beginning was HILARIOUS. but the moment he decided to let go of his principle of not pursuing a coworker, he became a whole new person lol.

Kim Jae Won as Soon Rok was so amazing! I know a lot of people doubted his abilities when his name was announced as the cast. but he really proved why he was chosen for this role (especially with the last two episodes). the way he can switch from boyfriend Soon Rok to professional Shin PD so fast is insane! he pulls off the role of a lovesick puppy sooo well omg. i need to see him in more roles like this!

the cells of both characters were just so freaking adorable! Soon Rok’s village was so entertaining to watch. the utter chaos when Soon Rok confessed lmao. Yumi’s naughty cell writing “noona” with her butt and Soon Rok’s SuperMan-like naughty cell appearing from space took me out 🤣 i could watch a whole another season starring the cells alone lol.

my only problem with this season was…why so short? we deserved to see AT LEAST two more episodes of Yumi and Soon Rok, since this is literally the last season and the end of Yumi’s story. sigh. aside from that, this was a perfect wrap up to the show!

Yumi and her cells, you will be missed!

PS. I initially gave this a 9 while it was ongoing, but decided to make it a 9.5 after watching the final 2 episodes! no other kdrama has made me feel this good in a long time🥹

Definitely recommend!

the series was overall an amazing series. the chemistry was on point, so was the acting. teeteepor are an AMAZING pair!

every episode is pretty long, and has good detail. i don't see any flaws with the series, and after reading the novel it really replicates what happened.

the series is a must watch if your just getting into bl, or love cheesy but sweet series like me!

(and if u haven't already, i suggest checking out the tpop group dexx! teeteepor are members, and other amazing actors as well.)

A drama I'll treasure forever in my heart.

What a phenomenal journey. This is a drama where you don't just watch, but you grow with our girl Yumi, and the whole concept of cells has been the best part, that you will not find anywhere else, it enhances your experience as a viewer to see the depth of a character.

The beauty of this drama to me lies in how real it feels while making my heart flutter. I can a 100% see everything in this show taking place i real life, nothing is extremely dramatic or unrealistic, infact you can relate to the characters a lot.

I think I'll never let go of yumi and her cells, they'll always be a precious joy to my heart, I've laughed, raged, cried and felt all sorts of emotions with her. She is funny, cute, overthinker, anxious, kind, loveable, and so much more, and that's her beauty, that's the beauty of this show, our main character is not a set of traits, she is everything, like we all are i real life, we are confused, lost, make mistakes, grow through experiences, and become better and better each day like that, that's what Yumi is.

Meanwhile Shin soon rok has been the most perfect guy we can ever imagine for our girl, he is straightforward, certain and all in for yumi, exactly what she needs. It has been crazy long time since I've felt butterflies in my stomach and kicked my feet out of joy, but Soon rok did it. I wish we had atleast 2 more eps for their dating, because it was SOOOOO GOOD, it felt extremely necessary. I literally cried when last ep ended, realising how much my heart aches that this has ended, how attached I'm to yumi and the whole drama series, and how happy I am for my girl.

I truly enjoyed season 1 and 2 as well, as we saw yumi going through all ups and down of her life, whether it be love life or career or her own self, and season 3 was the perfect end to it (honestly i would eat up 10 more seasons of this without any doubt).

I enjoyed watching Ung and babi too, they gave us different experiences, they were good, necessary in yumi's growth, but also had to go for right reasons.

And may i dare say, Yumi's cells franchise has one of the best osts out there. Throughout all 3 seasons, without a miss.

I'm gonna miss yumi and her cells so bad, I'm not really for this goodbye :(((

Good series

Stunning visuals, but make it shorter! 😭 The chemistry between Chen Feiyu and Wang Yinglu is electric, and the costumes/sets are pure eye candy. But the plot dragging is real. I felt like I was wasting time on 'filler' episodes that didn't move the needle. A 16-episode cut of this would be 10/10, but at 33 episodes, it's a test of patience.

Not the best but entertaining light watch

I watched this on a lazy Sunday without an overly critical eye and it kept my attention, which is saying a lot tbh. Full of cliches (which I like) and I didn’t hate any of the characters except the villains, decent watch but won’t be going in my rewatch list. I hate that there is a character minimum on this site…sigh

Wish it had more episodes

Scary and widely, chaotically entertaining! Mind-bending plot twists followed by suspense built so high, I almost had a heart attack.

The shining star is Se Ah, the righteous and kind FL with a painful backstory and a deep love for her friends. I love her spunky personality as she fights the malicious spirits around her. Her romance with GeonU is so adorable, they are the definition of high school puppy love. I just wish they had more scenes together. The chemistry of the friend group is amazing, as each have their own motivations toward each other.

Every character is incredibly fleshed out. With such few episodes, it's incredible how the audience comes to care for the characters so deeply in such a short time. I would rate the horror level a 6 (1 being suitable for scaredy-cats, 10 is I need a priest to exorcise my house, that shit was too scary). There are some jumpscares but it is mostly gore. The show is mainly rooted in Korean shamanism, and how its power wards evil.

A piece of happiness of something we were nostalgic for that suddenly came back

The certainty is what season 3 had that the other seasons didn't

the progression was natural and beautiful... we wanted more of course but this drama was a piece of happiness of something we were so nostalgic for that suddenly came back to us . the acting was spot on too .. i blame the writers for taking so much of sun rok's scenes away .. but the animation , the direction , tho so short but done in a way that's so perfect , you can't complain about anything but the length really .. the cells are as fun as they were in previous seasons .. also sun rok
s heart fever time and the general swear to walk her path forever this season wins you over

i love i love i love , yumi cells is nostalgic to me and has a special place in my heart .. her finally finding love is also so so special . love ouri soon rok ahhh .. he's the sweetest ...thoroughly enjoyed it ... i only wish we got more of them

i CRIED at the ending you guys ... it's been a long time coming .... shin sun rok's certainty about her from the start , after being rejected once made me cry , also the final scene with her parent's made me so giddy too .. it's only fault is that its too short

also I even love how this season cleared up the misunderstanding regarding wung .. it pretty much explained to yumi that it wasn't because he didn't love her and mirrored it .. made my heart heal a little bit
after ep 5 season 2 my heart broke watching how wung imagined it would be if he reacted differently .. this healed me , also sun rok certainty also healed what season 2 broke too aka what babi broke

for those like me who hate webtoon babi and are furious because of stolen scenes and still are hesitant to start , hear me out .... i can't begin to explain how jin young's casting was orchestrated so people will like babi because no one likes webtoon babi ...but even though i love and adore jin young ; i STILL preferred woong over him in the drama.. and then sunrook when he came along .. although sunrok's scene were taken .. many of us still loved s3 more ... so if you're like me the webtoon lover, and then a drama lover , you'll appreciate the live action .. and the animation ... it's such a good show , if you're afraid of watching all the season just watch the third but i watched it over the years not all at once so i'm sure it will be different if you binge all of them ...

9.5 is a subjective rating but that just indicates my love for it and how special it is , i knew i'd love the final season more than the rest regardless ... though the objective rating would've been a 9 or 8.5 , and season 1 was 8.5 to me and i thought it had more content regarding the cells and romance so before this wrapped up i believe objectively it's the better season however this gets a higher rating subjectively for winning my heart and yumi's forever as well ... so you just helplessly end up loving it more

also love the osts ... i love all seasons' ost they all are so good , an escape trulyyyy

I love it so much, the emotions in it are strong and deep. Every time I rewatch it, I find myself crying at the same emotional moments.
I feel like Pran’s character is very close to me and truly represents who I am. It makes me wish to find someone who would love and accept me the way Pat does.
I watched it with my soulmate, and we cried so much together. I can’t even fully express the intensity of the feelings it makes me experience.
In the end, it’s something I always come back to, because I somehow always find my happiness in it.

Cute Dumb x Dumber love story

I never expected to love this one soo much. It's soo damn cute despite the story being absolute nonsense 🤭. Everyone in the drama is pretty much dense and don't use their brain so if you're watching this please turn yours off too.

I've watched "Golden Feather" before and i felt their acting was kinda a mess there but here i could see the improvement in their acting and chemistry despite the lack of NC scenes. I feel the roles suited them much better that GF. I can't believe i watched this in 1 go😆. Give it a go It's definitely gonna give u a good laugh

It’s impossible to predict who will sleep with whom at any moment 😭😭😭😭😭 It’s full of surprises and unexpected events, and it’s perfect for fans of drama and chaos. The acting is excellentevery cast member delivered a perfect performance, especially Neo as Boston; he completely embodied the character. And Khao’s acting in this series is absolutely amazing.

strong start but failed to become wholesome

i must say this was one of the most overhyped dramas of this year. i wont deny the starting was very good, but the writers probably forgot to draw closure or probably writers were changed in middle point.
otherwise, i don't know how they went back to cliché cdramas.
they forgot the truth behind 17 years ago, and the punishment of major criminals, but they had to make a great villain of qi min.
making a pitiful couple is a common. the character of qi min could have had a proper development. but no! the show was for fan service i guess
