My heart is overflowing with warm fuzzies!
Oh, it’s so rare for a 10/10 show to come along and have my heart full of satisfaction.I didn’t even need to complete the full 36 episodes to know it would have that rating, either.
There was not one episode I was unhappy with.
I really enjoyed the show's unhurried tempo.
There was a perfect balance in the slice of life episodes.
Spanning from 2013 to 2028, this drama unfolds without being overtly attention-grabbing.
The gentle story arcs provided a warm embrace, offering a glimpse into the couple's professional and personal lives, which made it feel very relatable throughout. The episodes were consistently cheerful, free from dramatic, non-toxic plotlines or heart-wrenching angst. To be clear, I also like those intense shows that make you cry and fill you with anxiety about what's coming next. But Shine on Me isn’t one of those shows and I was so glad for it. We all need a show to decompress our nervous systems and this was absolutely perfect for that.
I could wax lyrically for days how perfect Xi Guang and Li Yusen are. A male lead who perfected the yearning eyes and the sweetest, most personable female lead (loved all her clothes btw!) their slow burn relationship came so naturally that when it turned to romance it felt so right. And for being an office romance, usually you get the bitchy trouble from coworkers, this show was delightfully non-toxic for any of that nonsense!
It’s notable to mention the gorgeous hugs Li Yusen gave. And the yearning eyes gave me butterflies!
Besides the dumb dad, the rest of the family was great and always made the scenes feel cozy. Loved the cute sidekick cousin and the funny uncle.
Now, let’s talk about second ML.
I had mixed feelings about Zhung Xi the whole time.
For the first four episodes, you could have thought he was the main guy because of how the show told the story of love that wasn't returned – or maybe it was? Our main guy, the fantastic Li Yusen was hardly shown at all in those first few episodes, but Zhuang’s personality was so steeped in low confidence and morose energy that I felt like he was waving “woe-is-me” flags in every scene. In any other show that kind of dark, unapproachable personality, I’m sure he would have made a good leading male, but against Li Yusen, he failed miserably.
He never even tried to win her over, but Yusen was so upfront with his feelings. Oh, swoon!
Seeing Zhuang again at the airport at the end, I felt a pang of emotion for him as he watched the happy family. He smiled sadly, and I figured he was thinking about Xi Guang, the girl that got away because he never really put the effort in to win her all those times her heart was so open to him.
I have an empathetic heart for my fictional characters, and long after the shows have finished, I always wonder what those characters are up to – so my hope is for Zhuang to finally put down his past baggage and to find his own piece of personal happiness.
If you're looking for a happy vibes show, this is the one. It has the same warm, enjoyable feel as The Best Things (IMO)
I could have watched this show for another hundred episodes and been perfectly happy.
I'm confident I'll rewatch this and experience the same comforting feelings.

Slow start, but totally worth it in the end!
Storyline:
At the beginning, Duang With You was super slow, to the point I got sleepy and almost dropped the series. But since I pushed myself to continue, I started to feel like the plot actually became interesting starting from episode 5 and kept getting better after that. It’s honestly such a waste for people who dropped it within the first 3 episodes, because that’s when the story hasn’t even properly built up yet!
Chemistry:
The chemistry between Duang and Qin is actually really good. At first, I didn’t have any expectations for this couple, but all the NC scenes in this series were so well done and felt very natural , it literally left me speechless. One thing I didn’t really like though is how Qin’s character was portrayed as too stiff and “cold,” so we don’t really get to see his sweet or romantic side.
Acting:
Honestly, I really love and super amazed by Duang’s actor (Teetee). He can switch between being cute, annoying, and serious throughout the series — it’s impressive! As for Qin, his acting is okay, but there are some parts where he feels a bit “forced,” especially during emotional scenes. But I'm sure it will be improve in future project.
Things I liked about this series:
1. Supportive parents
2. Supportive friends
3. High-quality production
Things I didn’t like / could be improved:
1. Duang’s character can be a bit too over-the-top and childish in certain scenes, especially in the early episodes. Sometimes it made me wonder, “Is this a romance about kids or university students?”
2. Sorry to say this, but I’m not really into the second couple, JamieMarvis. Not sure if it’s because of the cringe dialogue or something else, but their chemistry just doesn’t hit for me.
Lastly, is Duang With You worth rewatching?
For me, the answer is yes 👍
My hope is we will see more of Porteeteepor project in future!
My final ratings: 8.0/10.

Satisfying Mystery At Last!!
The story wasn't flawless; you can tell a lot was compressed to adapt the source material. But how the mystery's elements gradually gathered then resolved is god-tier. I love that the leads weren't shown to be friends as children, despite their close connection. And how Lin'an isn't treated like discardable Origin Village TM. I'd be declaring this my favorite cdrama of all time if it wasn't for all the distracting AI. It was such an awful stark contrast to all the care taken with the show in general. Was this review helpful to you?

An Addictive Rags to Riches Story with a Bittersweet Final Note
This drama pulled me in very quickly and kept my attention the entire time. I really enjoyed the rags to riches story and found the pacing and acting to be very well done. It felt like a true testament to how one person can change the lives of so many.Xia Xiaolan’s journey was the highlight of the drama for me. Watching her grow, hustle, and build something meaningful from nothing was incredibly satisfying. Along the way, I became just as invested in the people around her. The relationships she built really stood out and reinforced the idea that the family you choose can become your strongest support system, sometimes even more than the one you are born into.
My only real issue with this drama comes from the final 15 minutes. They wait until the very end to pull her out of the rebirth storyline and reveal that it was actually a dream. That shift felt very jarring. By that point, the drama had fully conditioned me to believe she was not going back, so the sudden reversal came across almost like a betrayal. After investing so much time and emotion into that timeline, having it reframed at the last minute made the payoff feel far less satisfying than it should have been.
Because of that, the ending was not what I was hoping for. I really wanted to see Xia Xiaolan stay in her rebirth timeline and fully enjoy the rewards of everything she worked so hard for. I had become so attached to that version of her life and the people in it that her sudden return left me with a lot of questions. I found myself wondering how her disappearance affected everyone she left behind.
I am glad she had a happy ending in her original timeline with Zhou Cheng, but it still felt like it fell a little short emotionally. What would have made it even more impactful for me is if her accomplishments in the other timeline had somehow carried over into her original life. That would have been a really powerful twist.
This is also the second rebirth drama I have watched with Zhou Ye that had a similar fake out ending, the first being Scent of Time. I enjoyed both dramas, but that kind of ending does leave a bit of frustration.
Overall, this was a very satisfying watch and I highly recommend it. Just be prepared to binge because it draws you in fast.

could have been better
As someone who read the original webtoon which had a strong storyline, I found the script to be quite disjointed. Although the webtoon itself was popular, the adaptation was met with criticism with pacing issues and deviations from the original story. The casting and creative direction were definitely highlights that helped elevate the production. Overall, it was a great choice of source material that unfortunately didn’t fully translate into a strong adaptation, despite its potential. Was this review helpful to you?
An Excellent Tear-Jerking Drama
It took a while for me to get into this series, but by the end of episode 2 ... it will grab you!!!For anyone who has ever lost someone extremely close to them unexpectedly, this is a therapy story, showing you how to cope with the loss of a loved one. It deals with the common questions after a tragedy ... what if I could have, should have, would have?? They all play into this drama.
Min Ha is so fantastic in this role. I thought her perfect role was in Typhoon Family, but she's even better in this series. She gives the perfect performance, throwing every emotion out there. It's the kind of character that can make you laugh and then make you cry, all in the same scene.
If you're like me, you kind of try to jump forward in your mind, just to see if you can get ahead of where the story is going. The last episode takes you in so many directions, just when you think you have it all figured out on what's going to happen ... you don't!!!! Even though it was rather a quick series, it seemed to be just enough to make a brilliant story.
A really great series, along with great acting and a very satisfying ending.

Ming Yue He Shi Zhao Jing Hong (2025), When Will the Bright Moon Shine on the Stunning Beauty, is a nice romance miniseries set in historical times withML: Guo Jia Nan (as Crown Prince Xiao Xun) and FL: Fu Rou Mei Qi (as Wen Jiao Yue) in the leading couple's role. The story surrounding the leading characters is well written with antagonists twisting their fate at every turn as fate is constantly pulling them together but, for a story about romance, the male and female lead didn't have the right chemistry and their romantic scenes, except for one that she reminiscence about, were lacking warmth and romance.

Confusing
In episodes 1 through 4 of VEIL OF SHADOWS, viewers are introduced to a cacophony of characters–humans and demons, multi-tailed foxes and magical entities. Some are allies, others are mortal or immortal enemies, quite a few seem to be in disguise or ludicrously made up. Sword play, CGI, romantic tension, and overacting abound–-wuxia up the wazoo. Someone has been murdered, someone else is getting married (or not). Who, what, or why? Enquiring minds want to know.A few of the characters exchange witticisms and barbed remarks. The fighting scenes are choreographed like a ballet. Still—most of the actors appear to be just phoning it in. No one seems to be taking the plot all that seriously.
If they aren’t, why should I?
After about 20 minutes of chaos and confusion, I give up and consult Dr. Google to see if I can sort out the strum and drang. I can’t. One reviewer assures me that if I hold on until Episode 5, all will come clear.
I do, and it doesn’t. (Or, truth be told, I just don’t care anymore.)
Someone else informs me that the problem is – ME. I’m culturally ignorant and not proficient in the stylized vocabulary of this particular art form.
Well...OK. It’s not as if there’s a dearth of dramas awaiting my perusal.
Guess I’ll move on to something less veiled and shadowy.

The best drama in my 20 years of watching any drama!!!!!
Whats not to like. Story - good, plot twist - good, cast - gooooood. You really need to sit down and watch everything (but thats what you really need to do when you watch anything) to know and understand all the plot of the drama. You need to have braincells to really watch this drama, because the plot and execution is intricately woven and detailed oriented, so if you miss something you would be confused. thats the beauty of art, is not it? to comprehend and marvel at its intricacies and depth. MASTERPIECE! this drama really made me use my brain, researching skills and shed so many tears, but worth it. If i was given a chance to turn back time and choose if i should watch this or not, i will always choose to watch (this drama made me this dramatic). Also, i have been watching dramas, movies for decades now, but the story lines becomes repetitive and predictable, somehow with this drama, i could not predict anything - which made me intrique and kept me wanting and waiting eagerly for the next episodes to drop, one by one. OVERALL -best drama imo!!!!!

Had Potential, Lacked Heart
I stuck with this drama hoping it would eventually click, but it never quite did for me. On paper, it has everything going for it strong actors, good production, and an interesting concept but somehow the emotional core just felt… missing. The love story, which should have been the heart of it, never fully convinced me. It felt more like the characters were acting out emotions rather than truly feeling them, which made it hard to stay invested. There are definitely things the drama does well. The concept of a virtual world is intriguing and had a lot of potential. Visually, it’s very appealing the costumes are beautiful, styling and makeup are well done, and the cinematography adds to that polished look. Both leads are attractive and share decent chemistry, and the acting overall is solid. I also appreciated the absence of a messy love triangle and the fact that the male lead exists in the real world too, which added an interesting layer. The supporting cast did their job well, and while the romance was okay on the surface, it never really hit emotionally.
That said, the issues are hard to ignore. The pacing felt dull at times, and I often found myself bored. The biggest problem was the romance it just didn’t feel believable. The progression of their feelings, especially from the female lead’s side, felt sudden and underdeveloped, which made it difficult to connect with their relationship. Emotional scenes lacked impact despite the actors’ efforts, and I found myself feeling nothing when I should have felt something.
The beginning was also quite confusing. It throws you in without much context. Expectations played a role too I went in thinking this would be a deep, emotionally driven love story, but it didn’t live up to that.
The male lead’s possessive and almost obsessive behavior might work for some, but it didn’t fully land for me. I understood the intent behind his actions, but it still felt uncomfortable at times, even though there were moments where I genuinely felt bad for him.
And then there’s the ending. It follows that familiar vague format where you know they reunite, but it’s barely shown. No proper closure, no real interaction just a hint and cut to black. After everything, it felt underwhelming and a bit frustrating, especially since they had enough time to flesh it out properly.
Overall, it’s not a terrible drama. It has its strengths and is watchable if you’re just looking to pass time. But it never rises above average.

A MUST WATCH!! CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE LEADS IS FIRE!!
I loved it so much I finished this in 2 days. And this kinda pulled me out of the cdrama slump I was in with all these copy paste romance dramas these days. One of the best cdrama I have ever seen. From casting to acting to story line everything is perfect. I was bored watching cdrama these days cause it was always about fairytale romance. The chemistry and tension between the lead is so much that butterflies in my stomach didn't even stopped for a second. The acting done my them was so good that I got so obsessed and finished watching the drama in 3 days. Even though I have my exams😭😭. Nothing more to say just one thing- A MUST WATCH CDRAMA!! THE CHEMISTRY OF LEADS IS WHAT HOOKED ME TILL THE ENDWas this review helpful to you?

The most charming Thai BL I've seen
First of all, I want to start this off by saying that I don't watch bl series that have anything else but very enthusiastic consent, and that includes one character being pursued by the other as well. So, when I started watching Duang With You, needless to say I was really put off by the first 2-3 episodes...If you're like me, I'm begging you to watch on, those first episodes are very misleading. This show absolutely fulfills my requirement of enthusiastic consent.
I would go as far as to say that people who think Qin isn't into what Duang's doing are reading his character wrong - he shows his affectionate in a more subtle way, but the show explicitly says that Duang would stop pursuing him if that would make him uncomfortable, and Qin explicitly says that he is fine being purused by Duang.
So that's that. Duang is a little crazy, but he's not harrassing Qin and I am genuinely baffled by this reading of these characters.
Anyway, this show is insanely cute. I really loved all characters, but Duang's mannerisms and speech is especially charming.
And the sound effects!! I never thought I'd be praising the sound effect in a thai bl drama one day, as if anything they tend to be quite cringy, but in this one? Literal perfection. Whoever came up with those "pip pip pip pip Qiiin~" and "tee tee tee tee Duaaang~" jingles needs an award. Possibly multiple awards.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
tl;dr: watch this show, it's everything I love about Thai school bls and nothing I don't. :)

still the best version
This one has a special place in my heart. I remember watching it before even knowing it was based on an anime/manga, and I’ve always preferred this version. Its beautiful cinematography, quiet pacing, scenery, and the natural chemistry between the cast especially Haruma and Mikako bring it to life. The soundtrack and visual direction also creates a soft, thoughtful aesthetic that lingers with you. Even with newer adaptations, this one still stands above the rest. Was this review helpful to you?

JUST GO WATCH IT!!!
Okay so...I’ve never been able to sit through a Chinese drama without jumping ahead or fast-forwarding. Honestly, same with K-dramas. I can barely make it through five minutes. But very rarely, a drama or movie comes along that makes me savor every single moment. It makes me want to go back and rewatch episodes or replay certain scenes over and over because they give you that warm, fuzzy feeling, like actual butterflies in your stomach. That’s exactly what Pursuit of Jade has been delivering since day one. Pure butterflies 🦋I have such a big crush on both the male and female leads. Usually I get more into the second couple, but not this time. Their love story was so toxic it was actually scary. It worried me how many people (looking at those IG memes) were genuinely turned on by it. Yikes 😬 Still, it stung a little at the end when the villain finally tried to put her above his own ego and waved the white flag.
The only parts that disappointed me were whenever they brought up his uncle and that 17 years ago betrayal. Those sections felt dampening and slow, but they weren’t a huge portion of the show so I won’t complain too much.
Could this series have been finished in 32 episodes? Yes. Was there some dragging in the middle? Definitely. But despite that, it’s still my second favorite Chinese drama after The Untamed!
It’s everything. All the female characters, Changyu, the second lead girl, the princess, even the side villain’s girl, they were all so BADASS 💪 And the OST ❤️❤️❤️ It would start... and I would just be glued to my TV like... AAAAAHHHHHH this is so romantic.
This was truly Changyu’s show. The male lead, no matter what title he held, was basically playing the supportive role that female characters usually get in action shows and movies. And I loved it ❤️
Okay...but I'm a girl so... let's talk about the Marquis of Wu'an 🤭🥰
Zhang Linghe played such a beautiful character, inside and out. He’s done a lot of period dramas, but none of them stood out like this. It’s not just his face (though that man is stunning and the wig was perfect). His acting felt so controlled and natural, the love, the pain, the dilemma, it all came through so effortlessly. The director did an amazing job with the timing and those close-up shots OMG!!! Like what do you mean he is sitting in a pig shed with light hitting his face at that perfect angle making his eyes look all pretty and his face all angelic like... damn! No wonder she went to war for you. 🤭
The script made him sooo understanding and never insecure about his wife being so awesome that she might outshine him. It would melt any girl's heart. He’s stronger overall, but it was funny how he kept getting injured every time and she would just rise to the occasion. He’d get hurt saving them, recover, and do it again. The way he treated his sister-in-law like his own daughter, how he wasn’t weird or jealous about her pig slaughter squad. He was so respectful of her autonomy without being boring. All of it together was pure magic ✨ And that's why I just love his character now and I'm gonna ask you guys to recommend another awesome show of his pleaseeee.
Something I can't sit through again was the ending. The ending felt a bit rushed though. What? No final fight with the villain? Just jumping off the building covered in blood and the other guy fainting? And the emperor, what a joke. But I can ignore all that because 80% of this show gave me nonstop butterflies and made me so proud of Changyu 🥹
I love this drama ❤️ that's it! :)
