The characters, relationship dynamics and cinematography made up for a poorly executed plot.
This show proves that beautiful leads, engaging relationship dynamics and sweeping cinematography can save a decent but poorly executed plot. It really highlights how productions sacrifice certain aspects of a drama and elevate others to suit their target audience - but doesn’t the idol drama fan also value a tight and well executed plot? The MDL ratings show us that maybe not so much! Now I am well aware of my western bias, so I am willing to admit that my confusion about the history and politics of this realm may not have been as much of an issue for Chinese viewers. Despite all of that, I still thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful spectacle of the leads and humble side characters. I was willing to overlook the ridiculous beauty of the main leads, the unrealistic depictions of battle, the lack of sun damage on faces that spend most of their time outside, the perfectly manicured hands of seasoned soldiers and butchers and much more - because it was all so beautiful and emotionally compelling by design. I cried, I laughed, I swooned - all while not understanding (and ultimately not really caring about) many aspects of the main plot.
This was an enjoyable watch - I was swept up in the hype and totally satisfied by the escapism it provided. Is it a rewatch? Not in its entirety, but I will probably watch specific scenes and edits. Will I seek out other shows starring the leads? Maybe not their back catalogue but definitely their future projects. Will I recommend it to others? Maybe just to asian drama fans and carefully chosen others. Is it one of my favourite dramas of all time? Not really, but maybe top 20!

Omg heavy ... ! but educational, star-studded thriller melo psych drama
Wow star studded cast and a great thriller psychological drama!Wow so many kdrama stars in this drama!!! it is a fabulous cast!!!!
Why are some ppl frustrated with the ending?? It is a VERY clear ending - FL AND ML BECOME A COUPLE, MIN DECIDES TO COME BACK TO HIS HYONG, the Team survived, and the murderer is on the run in Korea and plans to cause trouble - and plans to meet them again...
So the ending is crispy crytal clear, nothing is open !!!!! it is very definite and specific
The only issue I found sometimes is the cold arrogant superior ML and dumb emotional overreactive FL - that specific flavor of deep sh.t sexism, the chronic disease in asian dramas...
FL is made the dumbest person around and too much plot is based in her stupidities and her being a nurse to ML who is abusive and cold towards her - and the only other female characer was super stupid too - REALLY DUMB - didnot leave any messages that she got the fingerprints, did not personally go to other ppls offices but went into a parking lot with her brief - HOW STUPID IS THAT????? DUMB DUMB DUMB and FL also was doing similar dumb stuff - so ML had to save her... STUPID SAME OLD SEXIST TRASH
AND
actors who look alive, not like skeletons and porcelan dolls like in year 2026 where BMI of 13 is desirable and all actors look lifeless and malnourished... !!!!
Also, I loved all the actors with Asian slanted eyes! wow such gorgeous men!!!! ML and Idol I ML are totally totally gorgeous
I really enjoyed seeing physically fit, athletic and muscular people with a properly functioning hormonal system, their complexion is something that so many are trying to achieve.
I cannot stand gaunty skeletons in newer dramas. So bye bye to that.
so FROM NOW ON:
I am wathing only physically fit healthy people on the screen - physically fit appropriate for their age, gender, body type, and general circumstances and health - everyone can be "physically fit" to the best of THEIR ability
If there is no new kdrama with those kinds of actors:
I AM WATCHING OLDER KDRAMAS

Good fight scenes.
This drama was made for the male audience who enjoy good fighting action scenes, from boxing to taekwondo fights. As for the females we get to enjoy seeing the abs... although some deaths were abit gory for me but i had to watch season 2 to know what happens to the boys. There were certain dialogues that felt flat but still got through them. One can watch this season as a standalone but certain characters have been reprised from season 1 and had good stories and it would be a shame not knowing their storylines.I believe they went all in in this season because season 1 ended somewhat mired with scandal outside the series...Rain did an amazing job in being a villain here,he does prove himself in being an actor. With the Seo Joon and Dex appearing,it does give the impression there will be a season 3.Was this review helpful to you?
Two adorable and talented leads can do no wrong
Things I adored1 The leads. Not because their characters were extraordinary but because just watching them fall in love brought a smile a in my life and that's enough reason to adore them.
2 The FL. She's such a positive and adorable character. I love that she's kind but also driven and has dreams others than falling in love. Ester Yu plays the role perfectly and although I think I'll never love her more than in Moonlight, she's great in this drama as well.
3 The ML. I didn't fall in love with him in the Keep your head on my shoulder drama although I understand why he became a star. I didn't like any of his recent dramas either, so I wanted to find something where I would love him and this one did id. He embodies perfectly his role and his chemistry with Ester Yu is great. I'd love to see them again together.
4 The proposal. I welled up. It was so cute, so romantic, so original, so funny, so fitting. I adored it.
Things I loved
1 I'm not a snow girl, but I loved that it was different and about a sport I don't follow but I find interesting. I loved the setting and the scenery was breathtaking sometimes.
2 The secondary characters, I loved all of them. I was irritated a few times by the 2FL but at the end of the day they were all adorable and so relatable. I loved the relationship between them, all of them.
3 I loved the ML sister and how she entered the frame. It was cute and I loved her relationship with the FL as well. Truly one of the most adorable dramas I've ever seen.
3 I loved the competition angle. I rarely find dramas I like with a competition premise. One i loved was Gank your Heart, but this one was also interesting, although not in the same level as Gank you Heart.

CUTE LOVE STORY YOU'LL FALL IN LOVE WITH.
I wish i could have my memory of this drama erased so i get to watch it again and indulge in it.Its been a while since i watched a Thai bl and enjoyed it immensely. This drama had me searching for the novel to read because i loved the story and wanted to know what happens next.Teetee and Por have done an amazing job with this series and one can see they are comfortable with each other and are serious with their roles.Honestly Duang's character is not that cringey as one would expect...plus he is just quirky to the people around him and comfortable with who he is.Was this review helpful to you?
Don't just start after watching the trailer!!!
Okay the trailer of the drama was pretty impressive and given the vibe that main female head has anti heroine kind of role but when you got into the drama you know by just few episodes that its not the case and it's a typical role onlyStory:
Story is decent nothing to complain or praise here
Screenplay:
Some episodes are good while some are bit boring and predictable
Music and OST:
They have mostly used two songs and that along with other bgms are good
Overall:
A decent one time watch

Everything great about the show
I have to say that Love you teacher is the best bl that is out right now.Firstly I love the plot of the show it’s so different from other bls because for once the couple is actually together from beginning of the show and the plot is so lovely, they are both teachers but one only became a teacher because of his boyfriend, isn’t that so cute he loved his boyfriend so much that he followed him to teach kids that he doesn’t even like. Also, it’s about a man staying and taking care of his sick partner who sometimes wakes up as a kid when he doesn’t like kids and that is so rare to find a man that will take care of his sick partner.
Next, I have to say that Perth and Santas acting is amazing because you can really see the pain that Pobmek is going through whilst taking care of solar especially when he first took him home from the hospital. Santas acting as Solar and Sun is really good because you can always tell when it is solar or sun, he has done an impeccable job of portraying as a 7 year old kid.
Thirdly, the director Dome did a great job with the script and with the casting for the show, he has created the perfect show.
Fourth, the music in the show is really fitting for every scene and sounds lovely.
Lastly, the cinematography is amazing the camera quality throughout the series is really good and as the director Dome says “every frame is a painting” it is so beautiful to look at.

Good for the night
This is an easy quick watch, small windows in to the lives of a few ofice workers in diffrent places in life, having different relationships with each a set of problems of their own.the characters are all interesting, though the windows are a bit to small and the main couple got a bit to much of the screen time I enjoyed the realistic way they showed their insecurities, consent, and attempts to experiencing sex for the first time. Navigating expectations with fear and a whole lot of insecurities,

90s goth modern with a side of gay
This is a pretty unique drama in that it is a modern drama but also xianxia but also 90s goth aesthetic. The story jumps into a pretty deeply lored setting -- clearly stuff has been happening and we aren't going to handhold the audience about it.In general the team has fun with it, goth godlings all beefing with each other, some wuxia fights, some interpersonal drama, some layered backstories that are slowly revealed. All in all, this is a pulpy fun time.

Not great, unless you starving for GL
I found this watchable after it found its groove, but a lot of this is pretty rough as far as production value and continuity. There are times where it seems the editing is rushed or unpaid. There was a whole sequence where an actors "leaves the room and the time passes" but they dont use any transitions, so you can clearly just see they had the actor walk into and out of the frame multiple times without giving the actual time in between or using any transition effects to communicate that time passed.
Stuff like that is sprinkled throughout, which is disappointing / jarring. But if you just accept that this is a very low budget or student film, then you may be able to enjoy the main couple. They have good chemistry, so if you are just here for GL vibes, then you may find it worth a watch.

I did watch it till the end though...
So triggering. Honestly if anyone has been in an abusive relationship, experienced SA or R*pe this is not for you.I don't know why did I watch it till the end. I was pulled into a masochistic sesh with this one. Got me really unnerved by how well it was done but the story is awful, terrible & a little bit to close to real experiences.

Another juicy melodrama from my favorite team
So, if you are reading reviews for a "sequel" I am going to assume you already watched the first one. The main thing you probably want to know is that this is not a sequel, it is the same team telling a similar but different story. This is a modern melodrama about a rich family. The set up is probably common for melodramas, but the actual characters are so unique and richly portrayed, as always with this team, I find myself very engaged with the characters and how they are all unique.

Fun melodrama from my favorite team
They really went into this and said, let's make a melodrama and just have fun with it. Another production from this team where you can tell that being an indie production let someone focus on writing the plot that they wanted, and not worry about forcing it to be excessively curated. It is well written and you can tell someone really put time into considering how to peel back the layers of the story.Modern melodramas aren't usually my thing, but this was engaging and interesting. I feel like all the characters were complex and unique individuals.
Also there is a "sequel" but it is unrelated, just the same team telling a similar but different story. It is also fun.

A Practical Guide to Being a Superstar's Assistant

Cute short GL
This is a very short drama speedrun of a GL. It is cute and has some nice moments and some interesting characterization and tension. The main plot serves more as a gesture drawing of the story, and instead the focus is on portraying the significant moments, more like vignettes.Wang Xue Xi as a skittish but determined assistant is really cute; I would love to see more work like this from her.
