Fun, kooky lighthearted series

Not everything in the series makes sense – 'I'll extend the lease if she marries me' – but that is the heart of the show. Country girl meets city girl and all types of sparks fly.

The acting is bit over-the-top and the supporting characters can get a bit zany but that all just adds to the enjoyment of the show. It is a lot of fun watching Si (Saranphat Pedersen), the spoiled, rich city girl experience country life under the guidance of Klao (Punyapat Wangpongsathaporn), the wealthy but down-to-earth country girl. The best part of the series is watching Si mature and grow as her relationship with Klao deepens.

This is the third pairing of these two actresses and you can see how well they work together. They have great chemistry and seem to really have a lot of fun with each other.

The story is fairly simple and doesn't really add anything surprising....and does have some fairly big holes....but that's fine. We all need a palate cleanser between weightier stories and this lighthearted series does a great job providing that.

The series does hit a major snag in ep 7 though. The episode starts very sad, moves to a joyous event and then falls off the cliff into stupidity that continues into the finale. While this sub-story does provide a couple of amusing zany scenes, the underlying stupidity upon which it is based detracts from an otherwise amusing series. Fortunately, they wrap it up and provide a decent ending for the series....if they'd just cut out those 30 minutes, the series would be much better.

Genuinely might be one of the worst second seasons of television I've ever seen.

This season just felt like a downgrade compared to the first one in almost every manner. The songs didn't slap as hard, the acting still sucked, and the plot became more absurd.

Listen, I know the title says "Dark Side," but I didn't really think it was about to me viscerally disturbed by the end. Why is this season tagged as "comedy" and "romance"? This should be a psychological horror......I say this because the implications by the end are horrifying. But, I'll get to that later.

Season one's writing was no cake walk, but it at least had a charm to it that made it so absurd that it became hilarious. But this one? I can't say the same. It just felt like this whole season was about stupid love triangles involving Yuri and Keifer. No, seriously, why are these guys ALWAYS going for the same girls? And then they act all surprised when they have beef and yet MAYBE just don't argue over women you barely know? How are these guys even friends anymore? They are so petty and possessive over whatever (whoever) the other has! Every episode was just Jay-jay flipflopping between the two of them and the jealously fits from them NEVER end. Every. Episode. The other characters seem to become more irrelevant compared to season one and almost no one matters except the main three. The only other plot that seemed to be interesting was the one with Percy, but that is so poorly explained and blue-balling the audience until the end of the season that I stopped caring. This show also can't stop relying on how everyone gets kidnapped every time they need something to spice the plot up. This girl Jay-jay has been getting consistently kidnapped since before the start of the series! How she hasn't developed a sixth sense for it yet amazes me. Then her ex-boyfriend comes back and attacks her in public facilities! What is even happening in the plot anymore???

The acting was terrible per usual. Though, to no one's surprise, Keifer's remained the worst. His "YURI, YOU'RE WASTING YOUR STRENGTH!" remains embedded in my brain. I just couldn't take any scene with him in it seriously because of how terrible the line delivery was. The others pale in comparison so I don't think I even need to mention them, but they aren't particularly good either.

I don't know if I was just seeing things, but I swear the lighting was weird in a lot of scenes this season. It was like they had the lights shining so bright that things became fuzzy and it was really distracting. The opening also didn't slap the same as it did in season one.

The characters were absolutely butchered this season. Why are they written so terribly?:
- Jay-jay suddenly seems much weaker and co-dependent on the abusive men around her, and she can't make just address the situation with Yuri and Keifer properly even though she so clearly likes Keifer. Then, her family is abysmal and I couldn't stand them. They just sold off their teenage niece/cousin and then have the audacity to say they "didn't know how to tell [her]." YES YOU DID. This is literally a horror scenario for women (and anyone probably). She agrees to it to help her family, but then she has a not-so-secret affair with Keifer RIGHT after; so what was even the point then?! And can her mom please be booted from the family? How is she even allowed to keep bringing her new boy-toys to her relative's home? Put your foot down and send her away! Aries and Jay-jay are right to hate her. Also, I hate how she is so forgiving of the guy that literally drugged and attempted to rape her. She doesn't even seem phased whatsoever, and instead seems to view it in a joking manner. Why is her main concern how her shirt is inside out, if Keifer and Yuri saw her naked, and that she could've been knocked up like Grace???? How about how you were almost violated in a horrifying way......but no, the guys in the class cared far more than she did, and then she is critical of them for it. How does a girl that has been abused so much she has traumatic episodes and breakdowns around dangerous figures from her past have no reaction to someone that she liked doing something so awful to her? And then she even forgives and chats with him! What the fuck!
- Yuri was fucking weird this entire season. What the hell do you mean that you asked for the arranged marriage and then expected her to love you back.....? You literally planned to trap her with an arranged marriage that she can't refuse if she cares for her family. Then he flipflops between understanding of Jay-jay to then being jealous easily. It was soooo exhausting watching this weird feedback loop. Him getting with Freya in the past made no sense either and I was so confused on that plot. His weird switching between being a protective guy into then just watching as everyone lies and gets handsy with the fiancé he supposedly "loves" is fucking strange too.
- Keifer is definitely the worst part of this season. He suddenly becomes domestically abusive and screams at a clearly emotionally abused girl that he "loves." Horrors of the patriarchy. The scene where he forcefully pushes her against a wall and threatens her is terrifying, yet she just brushes past it and the guy isn't punished for it at all. He acts like a mega douche to all of his friends too. Always yelling and accusing them of nonsense. He also won't stop butting into Jay-jay's business and shows up unannounced all the time. Having the audacity to claim he doesn't want to be like his dad but then screams at an abused girl and mistreated Freya too. I get that the story is trying to show how he is fighting against his anger issues he learned from his father, but I seriously don't think they're going about it right. I felt terrified for Jay-jay. I also felt bad for his friends.
- Aries. Dear god, his whole small arc felt USELESS this entire season. What do you mean we're gonna get a whole background and secret sibling reveal from him along with him fighting for Jay-jay's sake in the last season ONLY TO SUDDENLY HAVE HIM SAY HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HER WELLBEING AT ALL??? Make it make sense. As someone that is very close with their sibling, I cannot stand this guy as an older brother. How can he just swap between caring and then not caring so easily? That is not how true sibling bonding works. As such, he must've not really cared from the beginning, or the writing sucks (I wonder which one it is!).
- David. He gets a special section to himself because I HATE what they did to him in the last episode. He was one of my favorite characters in both of the seasons UNTIL they made him kiss a distressed Jay-jay out of FUCKING NOWHERE!!! The first season even joked about how he didn't actually like her as anything more than a friend, but now he acts like a weirdo to 'justify' Keifer's subsequent outburst. Even thought David did everything in order for his girlfriend (that he loved very dearly) to get treatment. But then he kisses a girl that is dating his friend when she is in distress. Garbage.
- The other characters. Catty women and sidelined supporting dudes. Of course we have to have to ultra-feminine divas that are bitches but it's "justified" somehow. Freya, maybe Jay-jay views you as a bitch when you first met because THAT'S WHAT YOU SHOWED HER! And of course, the other guys in the class feel like they are irrelevant except for Ci-N and the two gay guys for like half an episode. But Ci-N feels less funny, and the gay guys are also somehow jerks or weirdos to Jay-jay so their representation is dogwater.

Then, of course, the ending and its implications are the worst part of this season. The whole season has been showing the red flags of Keifer and the last episode seals the deal with him literally slut-shaming Jay-jay and humiliating her. And yet, this man will inevitably be endgame. This becomes ten times more disturbing when you remember how the season shows firsthand how Jay-jay has been getting abused by people her whole life; her current family sold her off, and her friends have been lying to the whole show. She is severely traumatized, yet the man that threatens her, screams in her face, sexually harasses, and manhandles her will be her eventual partner for life. She is treated like a trading token by her family, as well as beaten often and almost raped on account of her association with her love interest. Meanwhile, her brother and fiancé are aware but watch from afar half of the time. Ella was framed as a spiteful mean girl, but she was on to something when she warned Jay-jay that being with Keifer won't go anywhere good; she will never be free from the cycle of abuse.

That's all I really had to say. I think this season should be considered a psychological horror depicting the torments of a girl under the patriarchal cycle of abuse. Threatened, slut-shamed, beaten, sexually assaulted, and sold off. But alas, the story will be wrapped up as a romance. Somehow.

I fear for Jay-jay's future. (╥╯⌒╰╥๑)

Now THAT'S how you make a drama!!

This drama from beginning to end.. zero complaints! The casting.. the acting.. the storyline.. cinematography.. and overall execution was a 10. Bravo! This drama shows how its supposed to be done. The character build up. The arcs. The closures. The director and writers did a great job. The story was refreshing and heart warming. Im not a fan of complicated relationships between leads. I love how they started as enemies. Went through some trials together and sat down and was honest with eachother on what they expected from eachother. No break ups for 3 years or being seduced by other people. The leads loved eachother genuinely and always respected eachothers opinions. Even when they didnt agree the other wouldnt restrict the other on their choices. The love story is so subtle but yet so sweet. The side characters get you interested.. they make you want to know why they are the way they are. The pacing of the show was perfect. It wasnt rushed. The writers made sure everyone had their closure and peace. The amount of episodes was enough to give the audience satisfaction and transition to where we're not dying for answers or losing sleep after the show. I truly loved this show. I can say it is one of the best. I would highly recommend and i will happily rewatch any time 💜

Well done series on a sensitive topic

If you are looking for a provocative, soft-porn series, this is not it. This series does a good job with several different sexual topics that are relevant today. While it has an overarching plotline concerning the romance thread and sexual trauma, much of it is episodic in nature. The main character is Ichito Shimotori (Kento Nakajima) who is a psychiatrist specializing in treating sexual mental health disorders. The first several episodes introduce the romantic thread but are primarily about Shimotori treating several different sexual mental health issues. The last few episodes delve into the relationship of Shimotori and Yumi Ichinose (Yuko Araki) – both in the perspective of their personal and professional lives.

The series is very well done. The sub-stories are somewhat provocative but handled in a manner that is interesting without crossing the line. The romance thread is a bit light and can be confusing at times as there is a lot to unpack yet only 7 episodes in which to do it....and much of that is absorbed by the sub-stories. But KN & YA are excellent in their roles and provide a believable performance.

Overall, a series well worth watching.

Celibato en Japón

When it rains, it pours, trata el tema de las relaciones de pareja sin sexo o "síndrome del celibato" en Japón.
No hace un teorema del asunto, sino que se usa como hilo conductor, pero muestra el impacto que puede producir en las relaciones.
Quizás por el puritanismo de este tipo de series, no parece que los protagonistas tengan una química especial, pero desempeñan un trabajo bastante decente.
Algo que puede alejar a espectadores latinos es la forma de relacionares y comunicarse de los nipones. Es más complejo identificarse completamente y, por tanto, el impacto puede ser menor; pero en este caso se compensa con un tema interesante y tratado con delicadeza.
En general, una pequeña producción que se deja ver del tirón y con una temática interesante.

NOUR is especially made for me. It passed my standards as soon as I watched the teasers.

I'm so fascinated by Nour already, looking forward to the new releases every week.

August is proving to be a golden era for BL fans around the globe. Top-notch series are dropping one after another, It easily stands out among the flood of incredible new Thai and Japanese releases. This massive wave of content keeps screens packed with diverse storylines and exciting new actor pairings every single day, the newly paired actors like the couple in The Edge Of Horizon, Match Point, Love Destiny or This onee, Nour, it's their first time actually acting together as partners, still so premium acting.

Among this incredible lineup, the newly released series Nour stands out for its highly creative premise. The series has a high-quality production, stunning visual effects, and a unique, creative concept. Moving away from typical vampire tropes, it introduces an entirely new, imaginary immortal entity called a "Nour."

A High-Quality Cinematic Experience ::

The initial pilot and teasers for Nour set an exceptionally high bar for me and the fandom.
The first two episodes have completely blown past those expectations of mine. The show boasts Hollywood-level visual effects that look incredibly realistic on screen. Combined with stunning production design and beautiful settings, the series delivers a premium cinematic experience that kept me completely glued to the screen.

Fresh Casting and Unmatched Screen Presence :::

The casting choices bring an entirely fresh, magnetic energy to this supernatural thriller. Boss Patthakarn delivers a flawless performance for his first-ever BL role. He acts with the absolute confidence and depth of a seasoned veteran. Standing right alongside him is Tongtong Kitsakorn, who finally steps into a well-deserved main lead role. Both actors carry a gorgeous screen presence that naturally elevates the gravity of every single scene.

Redemption for Tongtong Kitsakorn :::

He previously stole hearts as Jet in The Wicked Game, honestly I deeply shipped him with his bodyguard Phum, played by Inn Jakkrasin. That storyline ended in heartbreak when Phum tragically died, leaving their mutual feelings unresolved.
While Inn Jakkrasin moved on to play Phob in The Edge Of Horizon, I'm extremely thrilled to finally see Tongtong as a powerful main lead here.

A Gruesome Crime Investigation in Krung Thep At its core, the drama hooked me with an intense and dark crime mystery set in Krung Thep, Thailand.
A brilliant and exceptionally brave detective, Inspector James, is brought in as a wildcard entry to solve a horrific string of serial killings. The victims are left in completely inhuman conditions. This makes the local population terrified that a supernatural force is walking among them.

The Ultimate Supernatural Irony :::

While the incompetent local authorities try to pin the blame on innocent bystanders, the suspects all share an identical, chilling detail. They insist they saw a mysterious, blue-eyed creature known as a Nour. A Nour is an immortal entity that survives by sucking human and can strike them anywhere at any time.
James is partnered with the cold, brilliant Dr. Ken, an inspector who uniquely doubles as a medical examiner.
The ultimate irony, which I'm already privy to, is that Dr. Ken is actually a centuries-old Nour himself.
He has spent lifetimes trying and failing to end his own immortal life.
While he is a supernatural creature, the unfolding evidence suggests a different, rogue Nour who escaped the police is the true mastermind behind the murders maybe, but we can't trust just our six senses, we needa go along with the flow and discover the truth behind those brutal murders.

High-Voltage Chemistry and Bickering Romance ::

The dynamic between James and Ken perfectly blends a thrilling investigation with an addictive enemies-to-lovers romance. The two share a delightful, chaotic bickering relationship that slowly boils over into intense, high-voltage chemistry.

The ending kiss scene of the 2nd episode delivered pure goosebumps.
Preceded by a spine-chilling moment where Ken licked his finger, the raw and passionate kiss, basically they just hooked their mouths not every couple do thatt, it looked professional. The close up in the 3rd episode makes it look much better..
James's reaction after the kiss, gave me chills I don't know why. Ken was craving for blood reminded me of vampires, they are quite similar The Nours and The Vampires.

The Sweet Contrast of the Second Couple :::

This intense supernatural heat is perfectly balanced by the second couple, Kirat and Chita.
While they didn't stand out much in the initial teasers, their execution in the first two episodes has excited me to continue.
They serve as a sweet, comforting, and gentle contrast to the chaotic main couple. But the main stands in the front for sure.
Their relationship brings a softer, highly addictive romantic arc to the show.

Kirat and Chita display seamless coordination and a deep mutual understanding that makes them incredibly captivating. The affectionate, lingering glances they share make it clear that they are already falling hard for each other, especially Chita.

Toey Pongsakorn, who previously flew under the radar in Top Form—this duo provides a comforting romantic anchor that viewers are eagerly looking forward to watching develop.

With a perfect mix of thriller, investigation, supernatural mystery, and incredible romance, Nour easily surpasses every standard for a top-notch drama. It guarantees something thrilling to look forward to every week!

Unbreakable Bond of a Family

I was honestly expecting a teen flick kind of story, but was served with a full dose of family drama of growth and unity, with the badass leads being the parents instead of the teenage twins which surprises me even more. I totally love every member of the family, from the cheeky grandpa Gangseong, to the awkward partners in marriage appa one-hand fighter Chulhee and omma brain hacker Yeongsu, to the tech whiz Jihun to the broody killing machine Jiwoo.

The family of 5 is constantly on the move as theyre on the run from a secret organization that conducts Special Training, where they trains kids with special abilities to do their bidding. 17years ago Chulhee, Gangseong and Yeongsu escaped from such place with twin babies in tow, and they have been on the run since. Jiwoo being heavy-handed with the bullies gets expelled regularly and they end up in another remote town where they come to be embroiled in the local church scam, gangsters and murderers. As they face the challenges, it also strengthens their bond as a family while awakening powers that the kids never expected.

Honestly I could not find a flaw in any of the acting. Theyre totally on point, a special kudos to Bae Doona who played Yeongsu she really nailed it as the broken mother figure of the family despite them not having any blood relation with each other. The range of emotions that the character Yeongsu had, initially the emotionlessly unhinged that gradually turned into warmth and longing for love from the daughter she never gave birth to.

The action is definitely a great watch but dont expect much flamboyant moves. Streetfights are the real deal when it comes to the action choreograph here. I just cant wait for season 2 to come out and hopefully they pack more episodes than this one. I cant get enough of the family of five.

One of the best revenge dramas I've seen in a while

First things first!! This is a revenge drama which means that it's not heavily focused on romance.. though it does have romance between one of the made leads and female lead ( It has two male leads who both love her ) but their romance isn't the center of attention...
She is a smart female lead who is hyper focused on getting her revenge against everyone who wronged her in the past
This is 16 episodes of well written plot twists and good acting!
For me it's one of my favorites in the revenge category because it's well written... Sometimes revenge plots can be a bit much but in this one I found that is quite good, it wasn't burdened by uncessary fatalities every episode.. maybe just one or two fatalities if so much...

The Romance is rather unexpected! You would think it would be the other male lead that would steal her heart but yeah the one that does is rather shocking based upon his character in the show and whom he's related too...
I do think it's not the happiest of endings but it's also a satisfying ending .. I wouldn't really change anything storyline wise...
It's a good watch so I highly recommend it...
If you're looking for something souly for romance, this won't be it... But otherwise it's perfection!!

Cute and Fluffy ( Easy Watch )

This drama is not doing to much storyline wise but that's also why this was a breeze to watch, it's quite simple in plot where the leads are concerned... One is a movie director and the other is aspiring to be
They are separated lovers, who later reunited and eventually started Fliming a movie together
The story tells about how their love connection got lost in the past and how it was found again in the present...

Good Chemistry!! Both First and Second Lead Couples
They are adorable to watch 🩷
Is it something I'd watch over? No!! It's just good for a one time watch and that's about it... But it's definitely worth the watch...

A Heartwarming, Healing Gem in the World of Sageuk! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10/10)

If you are looking for a historical drama that warms your heart rather than stressing you out with non-stop palace politics, Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist Season 1 is an absolute must-watch!
What makes this season so special is its unique approach to medicine. Instead of just focusing on physical ailments, it dives deep into mental health, trauma, and emotional healing within a Joseon setting. Watching Yoo Se Poong navigate his PTSD alongside the brilliant and brave Seo Eun Woo is pure magic. Their chemistry is a gentle, mature slow-burn that builds on mutual respect and genuine care.
The Gyesu Clinic ensemble family brings so much soul, humor, and warmth to every single episode. The cinematography is breathtaking, the color palette is soothing, and the OST fits the emotional tone perfectly. It balances lighthearted comedy, crime-solving, and emotional depth seamlessly. A beautiful, comforting drama that leaves you feeling lighter!

Enjoyed it whole heartedly ❤️‍?

can't believe it's already over 😭 my fav series 😭 i still remember watching the trailer and waiting for it so badly to be released only to be crying and laughing every ep 😭 the chemistry felt so natural between leads 🔥, the storyline was great, the OSTs were so beautiful.... even now i listen to them it brings back nostalgia 😭 the minhwan character was so well played.... I liked it in beginning, i hated it , i cried at the end for him 😭, the characters were so beautiful and all the emotions, expressions were well played by leads 👏🏻 I'M MISSING THEM SO BADLY ALREADY 😭
I used to wait for every sat,sun 😔
Also the eye acting of the leads made it even more intense ,their crying scenes too 👏🏻🔥
Thankyou spooky in love director,staff, crew,writer,producer for giving us a great series with good cast 🙇🏻‍♀️

The Perfect Closure to a Beautiful Journey of Love & Healing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10/10)

Season 2 takes everything we loved about the first season and delivers a deeply satisfying, romantic, and well-rounded continuation!
While Season 1 laid the groundwork for healing and character growth, Season 2 really lets the romance between Se Poong and Eun Woo blossom. Seeing them navigate societal obstacles—especially the unfair stigma surrounding a widow in Joseon—made their bond feel even more profound and earned. The subtle glances, hand-holding, and genuine devotion between Kim Min Jae and Kim Hyang Gi are simply top-tier.
The medical cases this season focus even more on psychiatric care and social issues, showing how both leads grow into exceptionally skilled healers together. The Gyesu Clinic family remains as hilarious and endearing as ever, providing that familiar comfort. The ending wraps up every character’s arc with so much respect and joy. A heartwarming 10/10 conclusion to an unforgettable duo!

NOUR IS OFF TO A DAMN GOOD START

Okay, Nour genuinely surprised me. The first two episodes had a strong start, and I’m already hooked by the crime thriller + supernatural elements. Thank God we’re getting something different instead of the same old BL storylines we’ve seen over and over again.

What I really like is that every character seems to have a story of their own—backstories that are clearly waiting to be uncovered in the coming episodes. And I’m VERY curious about where all of that is going.

I also went into this completely blind because I hadn’t watched the trailer beforehand. So watching the first two episodes literally felt like unboxing a mystery. I had no idea what to expect, which honestly made the experience even better.

And the chemistry? It’s there. The kiss was definitely a surprise for me, but hey… we’re starting it right! Plus, bonus points because Captain Ken and James are both good-looking. That certainly doesn’t hurt.

I also appreciate that they put up a disclaimer regarding the use of AI, especially since the first two episodes involve fire. At least they were transparent about it rather than pretending otherwise. I can respect that.

Most importantly, give the series a chance. You can’t completely write off a show after only two episodes. There’s clearly a bigger story being set up, and I’m excited to see how everything unfolds.

So far? Strong premise, intriguing mystery, good chemistry, good-looking leads, and plenty of questions.

Now let’s see where Nour takes us.
