An Explosive Start That Leaves You Wanting More

The first two episodes of A Shop for Killers deliver an incredibly strong and captivating start. From the opening scene, the drama pulls you into a tense, dangerous world filled with mystery and unanswered questions. Rather than explaining everything immediately, it carefully reveals pieces of the story, making every new detail feel rewarding.
Lee Dong-wook is effortlessly charismatic as Jin-man, while Kim Hye-jun gives a compelling performance as Ji-an, capturing her fear, resilience, and growing determination. Their bond adds emotional depth to an already thrilling plot.
The action scenes are intense, fast-paced, and beautifully choreographed, but what truly stands out is the atmosphere. Every episode is packed with suspense, and the constant sense of danger keeps you completely invested. The pacing is excellent, with each revelation raising even more intriguing questions.
My only minor complaint is that the story intentionally keeps viewers in the dark for a while, which might feel slightly confusing at first. Still, it never feels frustrating—instead, it makes the mystery even more compelling.
Overall, these first two episodes are a fantastic introduction to the series. They combine action, emotion, and suspense in a way that feels fresh and exciting, leaving me eager to continue watching.

Great story that lacked time

I love queer romance AND I love crime dramas, so obviously I was looking forward to this one. While I really enjoyed the crime aspects, and I found the characters to be super interesting, I do think that this show REALLY would have benefitted from a few more episodes or longer episodes. There were a few aspects of the show that I think really needed more time and more attention to really stick - and I know that a lot of people loved this for the romance aspects, I even feel like parts of their relationship needed more time to flesh out.

Lee Chaeha is suddenly selected to work alongside a top prosecutor Ju Taeseon despite his lack of seniority at work. Taeseon is known to be strict and hard to work with, but Chaeha is determined to do a good job considering how much he respects Taeseon. Taeseon hates no one more than the people that defend other's bad actions - and since Chaeha is the son of a murderer who once defended his father, this hatred extends to his new coworker. As the two work together to investigate a recent murder, Taeseon is also trying to make Chaeha's life miserable; Chaeha is determined to prove that he's worth keeping on the team.

This show starts off with Taeseon HATING Chaeha. Say what you want about the sex scenes early on, but they are not at all romantic - Taeseon's entire goal is to humiliate Chaeha and make Chaeha feel like he is beneath Taeseon. However, as Taeseon learns more about Chaeha, these desires to make the man miserable start to turn into something else. As a viewer, I felt like we did not get nearly enough time to watch Taeseon's feelings for Chaeha change. To go from wanting to squash Chaeha like a bug beneath his foot to loving him simply cannot happen as fast as flipping a switch. It seemed like Taeseon saw one other person be mean to Chaeha and decided he liked him. I also thought that Chaeha was a bit too cool with this, especially considering the whole employee x boss dynamic they had going on, but he even calls himself a freak so I guess I can move on from that. Between the odd pacing on Taeseon's feelings, and the rushed ending to the case they're solving, I thought that this show needed at least another two episodes to actually wrap up. The last ten minutes of the finale genuinely had me looking up if this was the last episode or not, because it felt like there was wayyyy too much for them to do in those ten minutes (and there was!). The ending wasn't very satisfying because we didn't get to see the full progression of the relationship or the case. Still, it was a fun watch with a few good twists in it - I just really wish they had the time to explore the characters and the case a bit more to make it feel whole.

Bad Guys Get Got (Then You Forget)

Teach You a Lesson is a wannabe Taxi Driver. It's not necessarily bad, but it's not a first copy either, more like a second copy.

The show takes on serious topics: school bullying, cyberbullying, competitive parenting, substance abuse, fake influencing, victim blaming, and more. But it's content to just touch base with these extremely serious social issues rather than dig into them. It settles for over-simplistic, instantly gratifying punishment for the culprits. That's not justice, that's just retribution dressed up as one. Every episode ends with a mini sermon, but nothing about it actually lingers.

As a result, it feels shallow. I don't expect every drama to offer real catharsis - social, psychological, or philosophical. But Teach You A Lesson builds up each case in a way that's deliberately disturbing, even infuriating. The bullies do things that make your blood boil, so when they're punished, you feel a rush of satisfaction in the moment. That satisfaction is momentary, though, and leaves no deeper impact behind.

None of this means you can't enjoy it. I did. But I also couldn't overlook the Texas-sized plot holes. The concept of the ERPB brings these punishments within the structure of law, but paradoxically, that also makes everything feel childishly simple. Taxi Driver ran a covert, parallel justice system operating outside the bounds of law. Teach You A Lesson works within it, which opens the door to a lot of things that are hard to overlook if you can't switch your mind off. And the show makes that impossible. The way each case is built up hits uncomfortably close to real life. These things do happen around us, so you can't watch mindlessly. But that's also the show's undoing: since you can't stop thinking, you can't ignore the holes in the script either. How is the ERPB all-powerful? How can they send kids to juvie just like that? Why does the opposition leader (a minor baddie) oppose the whole concept in the first place? How is a murderer forgivable but not a teenage drug peddler? To be clear, I wouldn't forgive either, but the show's moral logic (ML) does. It leaves you with far more questions than answers.

On the surface, it's fun to watch. There's instant satisfaction in seeing bad people get punished. But it doesn't stay with you. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Have I already started forgetting it? Also yes.

Characters & Performances:
The characters feel two-dimensional, without much depth to any of them. Hwa Jin and Han Rim's swagger is so commonplace it borders on farce. The performances themselves are fine. Nothing mind-blowing, but nothing bad either. The crimes and resolutions are so formulaic that even the genuinely good actors don't have much to work with. That said, Jin Ki Joo could've toned it down a notch. Her shouting made me wince more than once.

Overall:
Teach You a Lesson wants to be thoughtful but has no patience for actually being it. It leans instead on crowd-pleasing instant gratification, and loses substance in the process. I wouldn't drop everything to watch it. You watch it, shake your head, and move on to the next show.

Fast-paced crime drama with a sizzling Love/Hate romance

Subjective Gut Rating: 8.25

I’m so glad to see Korean BLs coming back with a good drama like “The Prosecutor’s Proposal”. I’ve always found KBLs do really well with the darker and angstier themes. As a low-budget mini drama, this is a well-produced one. It’s not perfect and still suffers from being too short, but it doesn’t have the usual flaws of a small production - looking cheap & bad acting.

I really appreciate this is a serious drama without the occasional over-the-top comedy that messes with the overall feel of it. I also really like that the crime investigation is the focus and romance is just a part of the plot. What’s best is that “The Prosecutor’s Proposal” does not look cheap. Though there aren’t any fancy sets, the overall cinematography feels like a regular long-form drama.

The main romance is definitely the talk of the town. The leads have excellent chemistry even during the crime investigation when they are in a supervisor/supervisee relationship. Of course, the love-hate relationship and the red flag-ness of Ju Tae Seon are the icing on the cake. The sexual tension is palpitating. I just want them to kiss and devour each other, which they did. LOL The emotions going into the NC scenes are delicious and sizzling. The NC scenes themselves are sexy and passionate, but they are way too short especially after such a great build up. If I have to pick on the romance, it’s that everything is too fast-paced. The transition from hate to love happens too fast. For a short drama, there’s no luxury of time to let their romance slowly develop, and give us more push-and-pull tension.

The overall acting is solid. Kim Yoon Sik shines as Prosecutor Ju. His manic behavior changed so rapidly. Although he’s not a newbie to the industry, he doesn’t really have that many dramas under his belt either. His more unpredictable behavior contrasted well with Park Si Woo’s more introverted and quiet acting. I’m glad Investigator Lee Chae Ha is not a pushover either. He might be on the quiet side, but will stand up for himself when needed. Park Si Woo performed quite well. The rest of the supporting cast also did a pretty good job.

The crime investigation takes up the majority of the time, as it should be. The general plot is interesting enough. However, since this is such a short drama, it doesn’t have enough time to fully write really intricate storylines. There are some actions done by the villains that make me scratch my head, especially towards the last few episodes when we’re about to find out who the murderers are. The writing could have been better. If this is a regular big budget drama, I might criticize this a little more.

Overall, “The Prosecutor’s Proposal” is a fast-paced, engaging crime investigation drama with a juicy and sizzling romance. Its weakness is the lack of time to develop the romance well, and to give us a more tightly written crime drama. But I applaud its ability to give us a sizzling romance (except the last episode when it feels a little cringey), a well-acted drama that doesn’t look cheap. Given this is a low budget drama with adjusted expectations, I am rounding up my 8.25 to a 8.5.

Age Gap? No Kissing? No Problem

The title of this drama, Key to the Phoenix Heart, actually refers to a legendary key created by the late Empress Wenxi. Broken into four parts and safeguarded by trusted but anonymous guardians, legend has it that whoever pieces the key together conquers the world. And that’s exactly where the ball starts rolling behind the scenes, as every faction scrambles to find the pieces and unravel their hidden secrets.

Xie Jia Yu, the adopted young daughter of the Grand Tutor, is a total tech prodigy who invents and sells clever little gadgets just to earn some pocket money. Then we have Xiao Wu Yi, the fearsome commander of the Northern Army, who built and controls the mighty forces guarding the northern border.

The kingdom is currently under the rule of a sickly emperor who is essentially a puppet controlled by the ruthless and ambitious Empress Dowager. When Xiao Wu Yi discovers that a faulty crossbow design led to the annihilation of his 30,000-strong army, he's determined to find the culprit. Suspecting his enemy, the Prince of Changsha, is behind the scheme and who is seeking Xie Jia Yu’s hand to secure the Grand Tutor’s support for his own throne ambitions, Xiao Wu Yi beats him to the punch. He petitions the Empress Dowager for a marriage decree to Xie Jia Yu, which is promptly granted.

To make matters more complicated, Xiao Wu Yi is already a married man with two wives and a child. One wife is He Yuan Ji, the Empress Dowager’s niece and a total bookworm whom he has never even met; the other is Rui Sheng, a capable military medical doctor. Meanwhile, Xie Jia Yu and Li Mao, a student of the Grand Tutor, have been childhood sweethearts and lovers. On the Grand Tutor's advice, the emperor also appoints Li Mao as regent. This messy arrangement creates a ton of conflict and sets up what looks like a classic love triangle—or so we thought.

After the wedding, young Xie Jia Yu quickly navigates Xiao Wu Yi's complex household dynamics. In a refreshing twist, the women actually become best friends. What starts as a forced contract marriage full of mutual suspicion and a battle of wits between Xiao Wu Yi and his young wife quickly blossoms into a beautiful, true-life partnership. Their journey together is incredibly sweet, humorous, and heartwarming.

The Characters
Xiao Wu Yi is the feared commander of the Northern Army, known for his cold and ruthless reputation. But only his inner circle—his adoptive family and his wives—know the truth: he is deeply forbearing, carrying the heavy burden of his true lineage and a sacred vow to protect the innocent. He endures humiliation while secretly investigating a past injustice, as well as the shadowy hands behind the faulty weapons that caused his army's annihilation. His family loves and respects him dearly, and he’d do anything for them. A really compelling aspect of his character is that he was severely injured in war and suffers from relapses that cause him to temporarily lose his sight. This vulnerability makes him feel like a real, flawed human rather than an invincible trope, which just makes viewers root for him even more. His ultimate ambition is to end all wars, even if it costs him his own life. His willingness to abandon absolute power for a genuine, mutual relationship makes him so much more compelling than our generic domineering male lead.

Xie Jia Yu, despite being a teenager, is the exact opposite of the typical passive, tropey female lead. She is sharp, resourceful, and fiercely independent. In fact, her intelligence surpasses most of the men around her, and she even manages to outsmart Xiao Wu Yi on occasion! Her mastery of technology isn't just a neat gimmick; it serves as a practical tool for survival and a symbol of her resilient, multi-faceted personality. The character is incredibly refreshing and lovable. She actively drives the plot and becomes Xiao Wu Yi’s most crucial strategic ally.

Acting and Chemistry
Hou Minghao is incredibly engaging as Xiao Wu Yi. He perfectly captures the character’s dual nature: the imposing, ruthless battlefield general and the hidden, gentle, and deeply aggrieved soul. His ability to convey complex emotions—especially the "brokenness" and vulnerability during his battle-injury relapses—is top-tier and highly immersive.

Ai Mi delivers a truly impressive performance as Xie Jia Yu. Despite being only 18 years old at the time, her acting is lively and authentic. She completely avoids the stereotypes often given to very young female characters, delivering a nuanced performance with rich emotional layers. She transitions beautifully from a witty, vibrant, and slightly mischievous girl in the early episodes to a calm, resilient young woman facing deadly court conspiracies. Holding her own alongside veteran actors and maintaining such strong atmospheric tension is highly commendable. Bravo for such fine acting!

The two actors share fantastic on-screen chemistry, and their interactive scenes are truly the emotional core of the drama. Because there is an 11-year age difference between the actors, some viewers initially felt the pairing sometimes leaned into an "uncle and niece" dynamic, which briefly took them out of the romance. However, Ai Mi’s natural, flexible acting and Hou Minghao’s grounded performance successfully bridge this gap. Their characters' bond becomes highly convincing, and they absolutely deserve our applause.

Final Thoughts
I'll be honest—I originally came to watch this series because of Hou Minghao, but I ended up being utterly blown away by Ai Mi.

Are there plot holes? Yes, plenty. It’s important to note that Key to the Phoenix Heart is an original screenplay, not a novel adaptation. While this means we get a fresh story, it also highlights a common pitfall of original scripts: they sometimes introduce grand, mysterious concepts to hook viewers but struggle to wrap them up neatly. More frustratingly, major lore elements like the four-part Phoenix Key are not properly developed and are wrapped up far too briefly. For something so monumental (it is the title of the show, after all!) that so many have died for, its resolution feels like a letdown, leaving many questions unanswered.

Despite the plot holes, Key to the Phoenix Heart is still an absolute joy to watch. It’s packed with palace power struggles, conspiracies, and treasons, but it never loses its sense of humor. It’s hilarious to watch Xie Jia Yu fumble when she first meets Xiao Wu Yi, and how he patiently tolerates her. I laughed out loud when Xie Jia Yu tries to "save" Xiao Wu Yi by accidentally shooting him in the butt! Another hilarious scene is when Xiao Wu Yi tries to help Xie Jia Yu escape his mansion by giving her a map, yet even with this help, she still manages to get lost and takes forever to find her way out. These are the small, charming details that make the drama so enjoyable.

The fight choreography for Xiao Wu Yi is engaging and beautifully executed. The flaming spear he uses in the opening scenes adds a unique, striking aura to the character. Meanwhile, seeing Xie Jia Yu brilliantly improvise by turning everyday items into weapons—or always having clever little gadgets and tiny grenades on hand to help her escape—is so refreshing. It's wonderful knowing she is never helpless and doesn't just sit around waiting for Xiao Wu Yi to swoop in and save her. Though innocent, she's never naive. She figures things out quickly on her own and is never a burden to anyone around her. I absolutely love both lead characters and the actors who bring them to life.

For anyone wary of the age gap, I'd say don't let it scare you off—it's really not as bad as it sounds. Ai Mi's natural youthfulness fits the role perfectly, and it feels far more authentic than casting an older actress trying to play a teenager. The whole show feels genuine and avoids the cringiness we sometimes get in other dramas with young characters. Despite the real-life age difference, their romantic relationship never feels forced or uncomfortable at all.

Overall, it's a fantastic watch that you absolutely shouldn't miss!

muy buena serie!

me gustó mucho la serie, a pesar de la diferencia de edad y la limitaciones que podrían tener en algunas escenas, pude notar el profesionalismo de los actores y la capacidad que tuvieron para hacerle ver al público que realmente se querían sin tener mucha “interacción física” (ya sabemos besos, escenas de ese estilo). Lo otro bueno es que la serie pudo mantener en constante entusiasmo debido a que habían cosas que no te esperabas, los malos quizá no eran tan malos y cosas así, y eso me gustó y me mantuvo enganchada. Siento que la historia también estuvo buena y para mí en lo personal fue 10/10 la serie. Lo otro que me gustó que se podía notar lo buen líder que era el actor principal, ya que, se veía como las mujeres de su casa todas tenían su propósito, sueños y como se llevaban bien unas con otras y se defendían entre sí, me gustó que las mujeres en la serie nunca fueron poco. mi bien 👌🏼👌🏼

Good Chemistry + Good Directing/Producing

I've seen many different versions of this plotline. I don't understand how a mother could be so incredibly and blindly biased. Yes, you can love the daughter you raised but there is no reason to keep your bio daughter around just to treat her like a doormat. Her ex-fiance deserved his ending. He was cruel and both physically and mentally abusive. The FL is lucky she got out before they got married and things got worse. Something I have never said before but WOAH that last location was absolutely breathtaking. How do I find out where it is? I kinda wish we saw more of what happened to the fake sister and her retribution for trying to kill the FL. I also wanted to see the MLs mother's reaction. Did she know they were both in love with each other? was she supportive? I know it's a short drama so they need to keep the script concise. That is fine but I feel as if they brought his mom up so many times it was weird having never met her when the drama ended. That being said the last 3 or 4 minutes was just beautiful cinematography. Yes, the leads had good chemistry but the parallel flashbacks and then the stairs. Im swooning.

Que história linda! É aquele drama que tem um pouco de tud, romance, emoção, momentos divertidos e cenas que prendem do começo ao fim. Sério, depois que você dá play no primeiro episódio, fica praticamente impossível parar de assistir.

Confesso que demorei para começar justamente porque tinha certeza de que iria me apaixonar pela história… e foi exatamente isso que aconteceu. 😂 Agora terminei e já estou naquela fase de procurar outro que consiga chegar ao mesmo nível.

A química entre os protagonistas é simplesmente perfeita, e a atuação da atriz principal me surpreendeu demais. Foi o primeiro trabalho dela que assisti, e ela entregou uma atuação impecável!

Enfim, só posso dizer uma coisa se você ainda não assistiu, corre! Vale cada episódio e, com certeza, é um C-drama que merece muito ser visto. ❤️✨

plot with strong moral value

this is the kind of plot that we no longer seen.. this reminds me of Queen Seondeok or smth and I thought the ending will be kinda similar. But it's not. It's unique. I see why HMH was very interested in this. I personally watch this for the actors, and the theme.

Acting wise, as usual, HMH gives his very best. Very beautiful. Aimee, on the other hand, personally feels good, superb. But since this is her very first main character, I believe, there is still some room for improvement. But again, if I didnt think too much, her acting is already amazing especially the witty, comedic, childish part of it.

a Truly Cohesive Drama — Here's Why

At its core, the story is about healing from childhood trauma. Both protagonists carry deep emotional scars caused by abandonment and painful family experiences, and the drama follows their journey toward emotional recovery. It also explores love, overprotection, and an important question: when someone believes they are protecting the person they love, does that protection ultimately help them, or does it become another burden?

Love For You " in my opinion, one of the most successful Chinese melodramatic romance dramas of 2026 among those I've watched.
The series has many strengths, but its greatest achievement is its realistic and beautifully executed emotional storytelling.

ML - Song Wei Long (Chen Yi)
I've watched several of Song Wei Long's dramas. I've always found him likable and consistently convincing in his roles, but this is clearly the best performance of his career!
He portrays an introverted man shaped by childhood trauma. His performance feels completely natural, deeply human, and remarkably authentic. Rather than relying on dramatic speeches, he conveys Chen Yi's emotions through subtle expressions

FL - Zhang Jing Yi (Miao Jing)
For me, Zhang Jing Yi is one of the finest actresses of her generation in China. She consistently chooses quality projects and talented co-stars, prioritizing strong actors rather than simply popular idols!!

She brings warmth and gentleness to Miao Jing while also giving her quiet strength and determination. Even during difficult moments, she avoids exaggerated crying or melodrama. Her performance remains elegant, modern, and understated.

One of her greatest strengths is her ability to truly act with her scene partners. She listens, reacts naturally, and adjusts her performance according to her co-star rather than trying to dominate every scene. This is a rare quality among young Chinese actresses today, and it creates incredibly authentic emotional moments.

Chemistry
The chemistry between Song Wei Long and Zhang Jing Yi is simply outstanding. Not only do you believe in their relationship—you experience it alongside them. Their connection feels genuine from beginning to end.

Direction, cinematography and music
Visually, the series is also excellent. The camera remains discreet and never tries to force emotion through flashy cinematography. Instead, it allows the actors—who are more than capable—to create those emotions naturally.
The framing often reflects the emotional distance between the characters, their isolation, or their growing intimacy. The lighting evolves alongside their relationship, while the use of space becomes an extension of their inner emotional state.
I also love the original soundtrack. Like the series itself, it is subtle, elegant, and emotionally restrained, enhancing scenes without overwhelming them.

Minor criticisms
1. If I had to mention a few flaws to make the series truly perfect, I would have liked Song Wei Long to push even further emotionally. I wanted to see a complete psychological breakdown at some point. His performance remains measured and elegant throughout, perhaps reflecting the conventions often found in C-dramas.

Episode 17 features an incredibly intense scene between the couple—it was simply amazing !!! I wish there had been more moments like that!! Dear direcot they were ready and able, and so was the audience.
My final criticism concerns the tragic moments. Even at their darkest, they remain "clean." I can still feel the director's desire to preserve a certain elegance instead of allowing the characters to completely lose control emotionally.


2. The pacing also becomes a little slow in the middle of the drama, although it recovers afterward and finishes beautifully.
3.One aspect that didn't entirely work for me was the sibling dynamic. While the drama handles the subject with remarkable care and avoids sensationalism, I don't think the issue is simply resolved by revealing that they are not biologically related. The real challenge is that they were socially and psychologically raised as brother and sister for a significant part of their lives. For many viewers—including myself—that emotional bond can feel just as strong, if not stronger, than a biological one. As a result, it created a certain sense of discomfort for me, especially in the early episodes.

Even though the drama doesn't portray their romantic feelings from the very beginning, I could sense the direction the story was heading almost immediately. Knowing where the relationship was ultimately leading made it difficult for me to view their early interactions as purely sibling-like, which created a subtle but persistent emotional unease.

Final thoughts
For me, Love for You is an exceptionally coherent drama in its writing, ambition, direction, and performances. Every element serves the same emotional vision. It doesn't reinvent the genre, and while it lacks a bit of boldness, but it perfectly achieves everything it sets out to do.

It is undoubtedly one of the very best Chinese dramas of 2026.

a genuine deep disappointment.

when i say i have been feral to watch this show. i mean i have been figuratively foaming at the mouth, shaking in my boots, fiending to watch this goddamn show for weeks because of the intimate scenes. i must have rewatched the first intimate scene in chaeha's bedroom and the kiss at his office desk around thirty times. i deliberately enabled my self-control and did not watch them both more because i did not want to ruin them for when i actually watched the series.

i just finished it and i am saddened to say that you can legitimately see how rushed this series was. i have never even consumed the original piece of work and it is still evident that they RAN to climax this show. the leads were excellent but the pacing was not good. also, i have noticed that BL have a problem with timelines. they need to be explicit with timeskips and time periods as they are not obvious at all. from the discovery of the russian dealer to the second to last episode, three months had past. who would know that? it is relevant because the leads would then be presumed to either have not engaged intimately at all or were building rapport the audience did not get to witness. the former then makes things like saying, "i love you", at the end make more sense.

the story was also kind of convoluted but more importantly, things did not conclude seamlessly. who actually was the son of the director + the chief prosecutor? it wasn't the scapegoat at the end. so.. what? we just never see the casino director again and the made-to-be suspected son gyuho just goes about his business. again, what? how about absolving chaeha's father? did that go into the toilet? there were also some strange goofs that i noticed as well like at the vending machine and when chaeha was assaulted.

after typing all this, i would honestly rate this piece of work lower but i like the leads a lot and think they did well with the material.

The best revenge plot ever…

Marry My Husband is the most satisfying revenge drama I've watched. The revenge plot is done right, and that's what kept me hooked from beginning to end. The female lead isn't omniscient or perfect, which makes her victories feel earned. Every time she outsmarted or humiliated her enemies, it was incredibly satisfying to watch.

I wasn't a huge fan of the romance, though. The male lead was honestly pretty boring, and I found myself much more invested in the female lead's journey than their relationship. Watching her systematically take down the villains was the real highlight.

The second female lead was a fantastic villain, and it was so enjoyable watching her face the consequences of her own actions. The second male lead/villain was also far more interesting than the actual male lead, which says a lot. I’m not saying he’s a good guy, because that guy is definitely a red flag lol. All I’m saying is I enjoyed that actor’s performance a bit more. He had more personality, though it was crazy. Overall, if you're looking for a drama with an addictive revenge story rather than a memorable romance, Marry My Husband definitely delivers!!!

BOM ENTÃO. essa série é interessante pq dentro dos seus 8 episódios ela navega em diversos gêneros. começa com um setting normal de ensino médio e embora saibamos que o terror está por vir, eu senti que se passou bastante tempo dentro da atmosfera de adolescência normal deles e foi bem fofo, deu pra apresentar bastante da profundidade dos personagens e dos conflitos que iriam pairar durante o desenvolvimento do plot principal. eu gostei bastante e até se fosse um dorama qualquer de juventude eu teria gostado deles pq os personagens são uns queridos e a seah e o geonwoo uns fofos. aí começa o terror por 1/2 episódios e é exatamente aquilo que a gente espera de um terror de ensino médio da netflix. e aí POR FIM começa a base xamânica do negócio e aí fica interessante pq primeiro parece que o gênero mudou totalmente e depois tudo se junta e se amarra no final.

bom eu vou tentar começar pelos elogios. o dorama prende muito, eu assisti tudo em 3 dias e se pudesse teria visto mais rápido ainda. eu nem tava esperando que isso fosse estar presente na história, mas no fim o que mais me ganhou foi a diva xamânica que vive no meio do mato com aquele namorado perfeito dela, e o irmão hajoon fofo e a dinâmica dele com o cunhado. fiquei muito interessada por tudo aquilo ali, tipo pq ela ta presa na casa, como eles foram parar ali, tudo. e a parte da investigação também foi tudo de bom. eu gostei muito do hyeongwook também, sofri muito com a morte dele mesmo que ela ja tenha sido anunciada desde bem cedo, foi sofridissimo pra mim. mesma coisa com a quase morte do cunhado eu quase enfiei a faca no pescoço.

AGORA CRITICAS pois é pra isso que escrevo review. bom primeiro que o episódio de flashback é um tédio. aí depois ta a gente vai entendendo como a coisa surgiu, e eu gostei disso pq deu um fundo diferente pro plot sobrenatural qualquer que poderia ser. mas quando chega no esclarecimento da cena de abertura, em que a do hyeryung se mata.. aí gente eu achei meio demais. tá que ela foi humilhada na frente da escola inteira e a melhor amiga dela é uma vagabunda mas AINDA ASSIM eu achei exagerado ela pegar uma faca e enfiar no pescoço na frente de uma câmera. quando assisti a cena na abertura da série, me remeteu a um remorso de TEMPOS, uma coisa forte, não do momento. e também nunca foi explicado tipo se a siwon fez um desejo, ela tinha o app no celular e a data de nascimento no chao..
além disso, pra premissa de que as pessoas fariam desejos, eles se realizariam, e então elas morreriam, meio que NINGUEM MORREU. literalmente só o hyeongwook morreu. aí tipo parece que isso meio que perdeu a força do negócio. eu achei que o app se tornaria uma febre na escola e nao algo só entre 5 amigos. aí tipo deu pra sentir a seriedade desde a morte do hyeongwook mas mesmo assim ficou meio pa.
também achei que a nari não teve nenhuma conclusão, e acho que isso foi intencional pra uma segunda temporada, vamos ver se vem aí, quero saber mais do casal xamânico perfeito
