Here’s a list of the common things that happens in most of the dates. Get ready for some serious swooning. These are some of the most romantic and cute Asian dates that shows the couple’s affection for each other.
Spy Myung Wol was disappointing, overall. There were several things I enjoyed about this drama, however. The acting was quite believable, there is an enjoyable sense of humor to balance out its otherwise sober theme, and the character development wasn't half-bad.
On the other hand, this drama had a terrible plot. Absolutely awful. This is NOT a spoiler, simply a synopsis: A North Korean spy invents a read morestory for why she was in South Korea, ensnaring herself in a plot to bring a K-Pop star to the North. First of all, this drama tactlessly, carelessly and inappropriately portrays North Korea as a slightly more strict version of South Korea. North Korea is a starving, suffering dictatorship, and yet this drama was handling the situation with complete disregard.
If you can get past that (I started to ignore it after a while), the plot is still full of holes and unanswered questions and misunderstanding that are never resolved. The ending was awful, though at least it was a "happy" ending.
I don't recommend wasting your time on this! But it didn't leave me feeling angry or annoyed, just unsatisfied. Secret Garden and Kimi wa Petto are much more interesting dramas, as well as City Hunter.
While watching this show I started off not really expecting to like it. The first few episodes were really slow to me, and I found them a little boring. Then somewhere towards the middle it started to pick up and I found myself enjoying watching it for a little while. But then the last few episodes ruined it for me. I think they were unnecessary and the way it ended didn't answer read moreanything [if you read the comments for it on DramaBeans it's exactly how I feel about it]. The way I feel is they could've ended it at episode 16, the ending they gave left me more confused than anything.
The story itself is a little on the ridiculous side, but I wanted to watch it to see how they would make something like it turn out. A spy coming down from the north and forcing a Kpop star to marry her and to drag him back north. It sounded interesting though. I did find myself liking both of the male leads, also, as I was watching the drama.
The acting was really good for the most part. Especially from Eric - his acting was definitely the best and he kept good even at the end. After Han Ye Seul's incident that she pulled it makes me wonder what exactly her reason was for leaving the set like that, and then coming back. Was it to draw attention to the show? Her acting was pretty good, although after that incident I had half a notion to drop the show. The rest of the cast was well acted, as well.
The music is one thing that was really good about the drama. It was well-done and the songs were emotional. They also went well with the story. Some of the instrumentals had this Mission Impossible sound going on, too, but it gave it that "spy" sounding theme.
Overall - I wouldn't say this is a horrible drama. I've seen better, but I've also seen worse. I'd say it's something to watch if you don't have much else to watch. If only to watch it for Eric Moon and the music at least. There are parts that are funny and sweet, but it just wasn't a drama that I really got into [that's just my opinion though]. The only episode that really had me wanting the next episode was episode 1O. Most of the episodes were just okay for me. I know there are people who have enjoyed this drama, so you might be someone who does enjoy it.
All the surrounding and circumstances are different, but the feelings between the main couples (the "type" of love) in these two dramas seem similar to me. They start out with almost enemy like relationship, the man treats the woman sometimes really badly... but the girl in both dramas is the type who can take it all and some more, very strong girls both of them. Both pairs also end up in a difficult situation later on where they need to decide how much they can give up for their love.
Both are about a person, who's the bodyguard of a famous celebrity and both fall in love with each other. Myung Wol the Spy has somehow a more serious feeling sometimes, because of the risk she is taking, but overall both tend to be more funny and cute, than serious.
One of the worst KDrama I have ever watched. It's starts off great, then notsogreat, then really really really bad. You were warned. It makes no bloody sense whatsoever. So stupid. I can't believe I actually finished it.
Great show overall, the acting was pretty good and I got attached to the 2 main actors. I'm sad they haven't done anything since this series ended. The bad points are the last few episodes felt a little stretched with some useless and repetitive scenes, I mean how many times do you need to try to escape/get captured/leave the country, I think the 2 episode extension from 16 to 18 episodes was not necessary. Also a big change of mood happened, from E1-12 the show is more of a Rom-Com then changes to more of a Melo-Rom for the next episodes, but in the end it came back a little to Rom-Com. But these bad points dont change the fact that this is one of my favorite series and im really hoping to see more from the 2 main actors.
I love "Han Ye Seul" but hated "Han Myung Wol" for deceiving and playing with a mans heart. I felt like killing her so many times by somehow magically appearing in the drama. I've seen melodramas, tragedies but I have never been so irritated by a drama like this. I don't know if it's because this drama is that good or just junk. You just gonna have to decide yourselves. Duration of this drama has been like a love–hate relationship for me. I just couldn't let go of the fact how cute, adorable and sexy "Han Ye Seul" was throughout this drama.
I loved this drama... It really made me cry a lot for some reason... I don't get why people gave this drama a 6,7, or 8 rating... It's an amazing drama. At first I thought it was going to be a tragic ending but then I'm soooo glad she came back! And so did Choi Ryu!! Super happy. These types of dramas are my kind of dramas. Happy ending :) And living together happily ever after... lol
I love stories about spies and so I was dying to see this drama. I ended up liking it a lot and laughed a lot with Myung Wol trying to seduce Kang Woo.
I confess that a little twisted that Choi Ryu ended up staying with Myung Wol ... (Though I think that actress obvious that rich girl would end up falling for it ..)
I remember when I first saw this drama and I really thought it was hilarious. I'm considering to watch it again... cuz I have my "shinhwa changjo period" again.. so I need to watch all their dramas one more time... hahaha. To much sparetime. XD Anyway I'm still watching Dongwan's sitcom "Mr. Kim" and it will take a while lol :D
