The story revolves around a young woman named Mei, who was rescued as a young girl by someone calling himself her "butler." With only a vague memory, though, the experience seems like just a dream. But one day, after her parents' accidental death, he appears: Rihito comes from a line of outstanding butlers, and he has been appointed to serve her! Now her ordinary life has completely flipped, as she discovers that read moreshe's actually the heiress to a fortune, and is forced to transfer to St. Lucia Girls' Academy, where all the students have butlers! As a result, her childhood friend Kento decides to enroll in a butler school so that he can stay close to her. --Tokyograph

Story- Very similliar to Hana Yori Dongo and Hana Kimi. Has comedy, frienship, a bit of mystery and a developing romance. Would\'\'ve gotten a 10 if there was more romance but hopefully there will be a season 2 or special...

Acting/Cast- The leads had really great chemistry. The female villian was very unlikable and almost scary. The actress did a great job portraying her though. The supporting cast is wonderful!

Music- great, read more goes well with the scenes.

Overall- If you like HYD and Hana Kimi you will love this. One of the best J dramas Ive ever seen!

I've probably re-watched this drama at least 6 times, and I never get bored! I just loved it, and while my rating may be based off emotional connections, I regret nothing.

The story isn't really anything new or earth shattering, and it hardly seems like real life, but it is such an enjoyable ride! I loved every second of it, even the villains were awesome to watch, and it really kept you read more guessing as to who was actually causing all the trouble with their own hands. You know the main villains pretty much right away, but the secondary, or hench men, were unknown until the end and it honestly shocked me! I loved watching Mei-chan win everyone over with her honestly good heart and even her petty-ness was fun to watch. She complained, and cried, and wasn't always the strong one, but it was all part of her character growth, and it was awesome to watch her come into her own and gain confidence. Not to mention the semi-subtle romance between her and a drop dead gorgeous butler! I really loved watching Rihito's devotion and his struggle to accept his feelings as being ok, and just how much he would put on the line for Mei. It was endearing and swoon worthy watching him. Not to mention Mizushima Hiro is just drop dead sexy in a full on tux. @.@ While the story is not anything close to a melodrama, I found myself crying for the characters, laughing with them, and smiling like a little kid. The villains were also written really well, and acted equally as well. I found that even at the end, I couldn't hate them, and actually felt honest sympathy and remorse for their choices and situations. Jdramas are really good at making villains seem okay at the end, and while that's not always a good thing, this time it was done well. This drama actually touched on some really serious issues, but it did do with such a lighthearted over all feel that it was easy to bounce back from scene to scene and not wallow in the angst.

The music was good, and fit the scenes just right, and while I don't remember any particular song, they blended in perfectly and only enhanced the emotions.

As I've already said, I've re-watched this drama six times, and I'll probably watch it again, but I'm a re-watcher by nature. :P Overall, this drama is lighthearted, sweet, heartwarming, tear inducing, and romantic all in one. If you want a fun watch with good characters, a decent story, and a heck of a lot of eye candy, this is the drama!!

Mizushima Hiro plays a butler in both. Kuroshitsuji is a movie and more dark than Me-chan no Shitsuji but both are good and if you liked his acting as a butler you should give the other one a try too.

both dramas focus on a young woman who becomes romantically involved with her butler.

30 seconds into the first episode, and I knew this would become one of my favorite dramas. x) (But gosh, I wanted to take a pair of scissors to Takeru Sato's hair...)

I'm confused as to how their relationship is going to work?!

But gosh, it's a cute drama. And Mizushima Hiro is swoon-worthy.

I really love this drama. The only thing I disliked is the attitude of Mei in the BEGINING (only) . Other than that , I think that it's a pretty good drama so like said moonziyan, it's worth watching !

You really got to love the Japanese hyper anime humor! xD It's a really fun show and i totally loved it without being bored at all. Like C'mon who doesn't want a hot butler of their own. xD I gave it a 9 overall.

Dont bother the negative comments... just watch it. It might not be the best drama out there, but it's worth the watch.
