Unlikely love develops and though the girl is not pretending to be guy, she was just a little "unladylike". It was fun to watch and light to your heart.

Relationship between the two main lead is similar
The male lead personality is (talking about his rudeness and hidden kindness) quite similar

The management company of the idol group A.N.JELL insisted on adding a new singer to the group as the lead vocal, Tae Kyung's voice was hurting. However, the new member, Mi Nam, had to go to the States to repair a botched eye job just before signing the contract. His agent came up with the idea of having his twin sister, Mi Nyu,to stand in for him and pretend that she was her brother. The two of them grew up in an orphanage and Mi Nyu, who was all set to become a nun, agreed to this charade as she didn't want to spoil her brother's chance of fame which would make it easier to look for their mother.

Both series feature a similarly sweet and bubbly FL who is steadfast with who she loves, even as other root-for-able male leads show an interest in her. They both also feature a prominent subplot around finding your voice and celebrity life. They also both have similar scenes between the female lead and the non-romantic leads.

Both are gender-blender.
FL pretends to be her brother.
ML is a tsundere.
ML is a singer/guitarist in a band.

Both have talented teenagers wanting to and becoming celebrities. And also cross dressing from male-female and female-male.

Both dramas have:-
- arrogant male lead (but in You're Beautiful the ml is more 'rational' and 'nicer' compared to the ml in Playful Kiss?)
- innocent female lead
- second male lead
- 'evil' second female lead
- cohabitation

Although moon river doesn't have gender bender, the main lead girl is a tom boy and very innocent but is really good in martial arts. (love that fact). Oh and there is a love triangle which gives a very similar feeling to you're beautiful. Moon river is a taiwanese drama which got me hooked up after a long time (while taking a break from my usual korean dramas). Worth trying.

Both are gender bender. At first I think, that TB is inspirated by YB, but I found, that it's third remake of thai old lacorn. In TB main hero doesn't know, that she's girl. TB is one of the best thai lacorn I have ever seen, story was well done, quite similar to korean production. I found out TB quite realistic, but there was only one weak point - main evil character and plot around murder.

Kusunoki Haru gets talked into trying her hand at running an entertainment agency by a CEO who is an acquaintance. However, she loses everything after it goes bankrupt. All she has left is a struggling five-member (Morinaga Yuki, Shiono Akihisa, Hanazawa Masato, Naito Shuichiro, Honda Kyoya) male idol group which belongs to the agency. In a sudden reversal, Haru goes from a winner whom everyone envies to someone mocked by the people around her. She plots her own comeback and achieves a breakthrough in the entertainment industry as the producer of the group

Basically the same plot. Girl dressing as a boy singer. He's the woman is old school but still very entertaining.

"Over the Rainbow" is the dark and bright side of the crazy world of dancers and singers. It is a realistically captured drama with dancers that want to become singers. Kwon Hyeok Jo is a stubbon and loving aspiring dancer who falls for Jeong Hee Su who is a dancer thats aspiring to be a singer. They start there journey of stardom together. While Rex is a pretty boy with outstanding talent and is the biggest asset to Pride Ent. tries to break free from his label and do his own thing. Ma Sang Mi is a sweet but very awkward girl still trying to find her calling. This heart wrenching story of becoming and being a popular singer, with all its betrayals and constant meeting and partings. Gives us an inside look on the ups and downs to becoming a star.

Both dramas leave you with an amazing feeling of happiness and joy at the end that will last for days. All the characters are funny and very likable, and no matter how absurd or brash their behavior might be, it only makes you like them more! ^^
