Ha Joon is confirmed to be the male lead of the upcoming weekend K-drama Hyo Shim’s Independent Life.

It was officially confirmed on June 9 that Ha Joon will work closely with UEE for the upcoming KBS 2TV weekend K-drama  Hyo Shim’s Independent Life

Hyo Shim’s Independent Life will revolve around a family who will have to live an independent life away from their daughter Hysoim, who devoted her whole life to them.

Ha Joon will play the role of Kang Tae Ho. He is the planning director of a conglomerate group. He left South Korea to study. 20 years after, he returned to the country despite being scouted by a leading U.S. company to find out the truth.

The production team shared, "Ha Joon who has the looks, voice, and beautiful smile that everyone loves is an actor with a solid side that you can lean on. His character Tae Ho full of charm will be a strong support for Hyo Sim who had no time to think about herself and has been dedicating and sacrificing her life for her family."

Hyo Shim’s Independent Life will be directed by Kim Hyung Il  (The King of Tears, Lee Bang Won and Brilliant Heritage) and written by Jo Jung Seon (Mother of Mine and School 4).

The upcoming K-drama will reportedly air in the second half of 2023. It will be the follow-up after The Real Has Come! concludes.

This will be the second upcoming K-drama of  Ha Joon for the year.
