The 2022 JTBC K-drama Reborn Rich won one of the top awards at the 2023 Korea Communications Commission Broadcasting Awards.

On September 11th, the 2023 Korea Communications Commission Broadcasting Awards was held at Lotte Hotel in Sogong, Seoul. It is an annual award ceremony held by the Korea Communications Commission to encourage more broadcasters and producers to create and improve the quality of broadcasting programs.

One of the works that was recognized in the award ceremony is Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min's 2022 K-drama Reborn Rich

266 projects were evaluated by the awards ceremony and Reborn Rich was given the  Top Excellence award. According to the award-giving body, the drama contributed largely to the spread of the Hallyu wave. 

The award was received by JTBC's organization division head Yoon Hee Woong and SLL's planning division head, Park Seung Eun. 

JTBC's organization division head Yoon Hee Woong stated, "Reborn Rich is a project we created for three to four years. We want to express our gratitude to the producers, writers, and actors of the series. The viewership of Reborn Rich reached 30% and it is even loved through the global OTT platforms."

The head also added, "I believe the answer is to create better content amidst the struggles of economic and production situations. JTBC and SLL will continue our work to create new and high-quality content so that we can also be here next year."

Reborn Rich aired in 2022 and it got high praise not only from the local viewers but also to the international audience. Many enjoyed its plot and the acting of all the cast in the K-drama. The series also achieved the highest ratings in the 2022 mini-series.

Other K-dramas that were recognized at the 2023 Korea Communications Commission Broadcasting Awards are Twenty-Five Twenty-One and Yumi's Cells Season 2

Twenty-Five Twenty-One led by Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk won the Excellence Award in the division of Hallyu Expansion. Meanwhile, Yumi's Cells Season 2 won the Excellence Award in the OTT, Web, and App Content division. The series was led by Kim Go Eun and GOT7's Park Jin Young.
