Kim Yoo Jung will possibly lead the upcoming Netflix original movie titled "The Twentieth Century Girl"

Media outlets reported on May 4th, that Kim Yoo Jung will become part of the new Netflix original movie "The Twentieth Century Girl." The upcoming movie will start filming by the second half of 2021. Kim Yoo Jung is expected to begin filming for the movie after she finished her schedules for the upcoming SBS drama "Red Sky."

"The Twentieth Century Girl" is a melodrama set in 1999. The upcoming movie will be produced by Yong Film who also worked for movies such as "Believer" and "The Call." It will exclusively be available on Netflix.

Rising actor Byun Woo Seok who is known for starring in "Record of Youth" and " "Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency" is also in talks to join the upcoming Netflix movie. 

If Kim Yoo Jung confirms her casting for the new movie, this will be her first time to act in a melodrama. 

Kim Yoo Jung is set to appear in the upcoming historical romance drama titled "Red Sky" with Ahn Hyo Seop, Gong Myung, Kwak Shi Yang, and more. She will also take part in two upcoming movies titled, "Puppy" (along with Cha Tae Hyun, Yoo Yeon Seok, Park Ji Hyun, and Ryu Soo Young), and "The Eighth Night" (together with Lee Sung Min and Park Hae Joon).

The actress previously  starred in the controversial 2020 webtoon-based drama "Backstreet Rookie" with Ji Chang Wook. Kim Yoo Jung is also the main lead in dramas such as "Clean With Passion For Now" with Yoon Kyun Sang, "Love in the Moonlight" with Park Bo Gum, Jung Jin Young, and Kwak Dong Yeon,  "Angry Mom" with Kim Hee Sun, "Love Cells," with Park Sun Ho, and more.
