Astonishing visuals, hollow story

First few episodes were kinda cute. Characters were well written, great chemistry between main characters with smart humour with surprisingly good bromance. But after few episodes you gonna ask yourself: Hey, how come these episodes are THAT long (almost 90 mintues each) and we are in the middle of the show and nothing actually important happens? Well thats the main issue with this show. Im used to slow paced story in korean TV shows and im ok with it but this is just over the top. The thing is that screentwriters didnt come up with a strong story in the first place so as with many other korean dramas, they make up some lazy plot twists in the middle of the show without giving you any clue whatsoever. I dont really like that cause it makes the show cheap. The story feels extremely slow, the main twist is very sudden without any deep reason and the last few episodes are just straight up slow torture cause at that point nothing makes sense. If the show had like 8 episodes 1 hour long, it would be much better.
Neverthless the show was very well shot with strong soundtrack, great interiers, design and everything and thats probably the reason why so many people really like this show. Also i really enjoyed realationship build of main couple

What is going on?

I dont know about this one... You see this show is just weird and im not sure how to describe it. Its like when the plot is always leading you one way but suddenly its taking you this way and again and again and again... Sometimes it was like teasing and dragging and suddnlely BAM conclusion! And sometimes there were sooo many same flashbacks again and again... The premise was cool and i do love FL (she is truly crying queen) but i havent felt any chemistry between main characters... For me the ML was too dull and his personality felt hollow even though his trauma was insanely horrible (i felt really really bad for that kid). Im not a good reviewer so i cannot pinpoint what it was but this show didnt suit me at all even though i like this theme. Also i kind of expected more plot around the hotel. The ending was kind of weird cause it sounded good but when you really really think about it its just very bad and full of plotholes.

Really really nice

I feel like this drama is underrated a lot. I didnt expect much but what i got was a nice catching tale about a really unlucky girl. Im not sure i can imagine how would i feel if i got into accident and woke up years later but i believe it would be devastating. This drama got one thing way better than many others - when i was watching and i saw some classic korea cliché shaping up i was like "oh man and now shes gonna do this and hes gonna do this" it actually usually turned out completely differently than i was expecting. Even though everyone cried a lot in the end obviously (its a korean drama after all), characters didnt do those overly stupid stuff like "i dont deserve you, you are too good and im a bad person, im gonna leave because of that" or something like that, this show didnt do any of this so that was really really refreshing. Characters were very good and especially Shin Hye Sun got the 17 years old girl in adult body on point and her acting was completely belieavable (and she is really really hot). Yang Se Jong was to my taste too cold at the beginning but i guess it was according to his character. It got better as the show went on. Overall - really good underrated show.

Surprisingly good

I didnt expect much but it was actually pretty damn good. Its a quick light comedy with cool characters. What was really refreshing was the unusual relationship development of main and even side characters and weirdness throughout the story. Both main characters and their backgrounds were completely believable which is sometimes rare. Maybe the villian was kind of forced and his evilness was a little overkill i think. I was worried that side characters are gonna be annoiying from the first introducion but that was not the case. Overall very good underrated short drama.

So nice

There is really nothing i can complain about. This was such a nice lighthearted show and it delivered exactly what i was expecting.

Story:
Really refreshing story with athletic theme. The fact that this show avoided some of the notoric korean cliche is great to see.
Acting/cast:
Both ML and FL were great. I really liked all of the characters personality and there were not really annoying characters. Maybe the second lead character (Si Ho) could have been little bit more resolved in the end but i didnt really cared about her that much.
Music:
I love when some of the music in the show get stuck in my mind. " From Now On" is such a good happy song!

Overall - NICE

This is show exactly what it meant to be

I was expecting lightweight romcom to binge watch and got exactly what i wanted. This is the type of show where you just want to chill in your sofa not thinking much about what you are watching and just enjoying some silly romantic comedy with beautiful actors. Is it deep? Nah. Is it toughts provoking? Not at all. Is it funny and romantic? Hell yeah. And thats all it matters. The chemistry between characters was great (even though the first close "encounter" could be somewhere else somewhere more romantic and memorable) and their bickering was just cute and funny.
The ML at the first was punchable spoiled kid but he actually turned out pretty good.
Idk what else to say. This is just not something you tear to peaces in a review. Its like when you go to some unknown fastfood where they serve something ordinary. You know what you are getting upfront and if its not awful there is no point to complain about it but you do feel good if its good. After all this is not some fancy restaurant where you expect complex and maybe unexpected flavours, its just a fastfood. And luckily a good one in my opinion

Somehow it worked

This is a strange one. I dont know how to describe it (and im not good at it). This show somehow feels like the plot is all over the place and you are not pretty sure where it is going but in the end it all kind of makes sense and it deliver satisfiyng ending. Personaly i would prefer if the show had more episodes and we would explored more ghosts stories and their resolutions because all of those subplots with ghosts where pretty strong and emotional and just really really good.
What it lacks a little bit are core rules when you make detective narrative. They violited some of the basic stuff like main antagonist motives which is not explored very deeply (i like it when antagonist is not evil just because he is antagonist)
Overall it was actually pleasure to watch and last few episode were not draggy at all which is VERY RARE in korean dramas.
Also FL is really pretty and cute i loved her!

Confusing

I have mixed feelings about this show. The story is one big mess and character motivations and actians dont make a lot of sense. When i finished it i looked at reviews cause i was curious and i found out the script was rewritten after first few episode so that explains my confusion. The thing is with this show is that characters act just unnaturaly they say weird stuff and everything just feels soooo fabricated. It drove me crazy i actually had hard time to keep watching. What kept me watching was i think actually FL. Most peolle say she was annoying and nosy but i find it cute and refreshing. What i was not finding cute was ML introvertness. Its ok to show how and outline how shy he is but dragging the show first six whole episodes where in every single one of them they are showing in your face how much he is introvert i was literaly screaming "take off the fucking hoodie you idiot" my main complaint is that there is so much scene that could have been soooo good and funny but screenwriterd just usually killed it by shoving in your face how your beloved ML is shy... snore. And im not even talking about the big plot and resolution with older sister that was actually literaly the stupidest and dumbest shit i have ever seen in any korean drama.
In the end it got better but still... this show just feels weird. The cast was great actors had chemistry but the writing was so soo bad

Edit:
I feel like this review sounded mean. This show is actually not that bad like i made it sound but more like only the story is just bad. There are some substories and scenes which were actually great and i once i burst out laughing which doesnt happen a lot. If the screenwriters showed us little bit less ML being yet again silent and if they just never came up with that old sisters story this show would be actually pretty good. Its the thing that the main plot stupidness just overshadows everything else so you overlook some very good scenes and themes.

Kind of strange show but i cant say i didnt like it

My guilty pleasure are romantic korean dramas so my im usually satisfied if the show has two young people preferably male and female who fall in love and it doesnt have to have super cool story soundtrack or whatever. It was satisfying but....
This show is unusual because the FL is strong independent woman who hate when anyone implies that she (or any other woman) are weaker just because they are woman. Im ok with that. The thing is that screen writers little overshoot the "power" of FL cause it seemed like she was awesome and literally BEST at everything and she was almost flawless. I know what message the screenwriter wanted to send but it was little bit weird, i dont know how to describe it. Like... does FL really need to fight 1v8 thugs and throw bumerangs and hit blindfolded bullseye to show strong character?
Another issue i have is with the story. Well i dont know if there was any story - there was a girl and a guy and they were just doing their stuff and stuff kept happening without kinda randomly. I didnt feel like there was anything important going on because all the story arcs were cut kinda soon without any deeper meaning. Also backstories of main leads were little bit shallow and what happend in the past was actually nothing really bad or traumatic so it wasnt really believable that their personalities shaped like that just because of what happend...
Even though i liked it, throughout the whole show i had that feeling that nothing is really natural and believable and eveything was kindof fabricated to... i dont even know to what. I feel like it was missing some strong message cause the obvious message the show was trying to send was weirdly served.
But neverthless im not hard to please viewer and even despite all of this i liked it. FL were beautiful, tough and cute at the same time and ML was actually pretty nice gentle guy so it wasnt really hard to watch (and there were little crying and thats a huge win to me cause i really dont enjoy the overflow of tears in kdramas)

Vincenzo is strangely violent serious drama while being also funny and comedic which is odd but you know what? I really enjoyed this weird mix and to me it somehow worked.
The story is layed down from the start so there are no ridiculous plot twists (or i dont recall one) which often plague korean dramas. Characters are lovable, the show have good pace and everything works good. The music was not bad but not great ( usually i remembr at least one track from each show and later listen to it but thats not the case for Vincenzo). Overall Vincenzo is a strong tv show.
There are some areas that could be done better in my eyes. There could be more romance (i like romance) but i guess its ok cause that wasnt the main focus. What bothered me the most i think were Vincenzo himself. Sometime Vincenzo italian quotes were cringey. I get it that Vincenzo should be a badass but Song Joong-ki doesnt actually look like badass his face is almost like a baby so i didnt buy it when he was telling some badass italian quote. Also i think i would enjoy it more if he wasnt that great in everything. He was like some kind of demigod and he was literally kicking everyones asses from start to finish and sometime i cought myself being sorry for actual villians. It would be nice if he got ass kicked sometimes or if he had some flaws. On the other hand FL was great. I enjoyed her dark side and i actually would prefer if she got even more evil. Villains were... well they were there and they did bad things but they never actually won a single arc against Vincenzo which is sad. Also the main female villian was just... weird. I never understood what were her motives. She is the only character which didnt make any sense to me

Wasted potential

First of all, i couldnt watch this drama to the end. There are two reasons for that.

When i first found this drama i was really excited about it, cause i have never watched this kind of show before (i mean korean supernatural ghosthunting). My biggest dissapointment is that the supernatural theme is not the main focus of this show. WHY, why on earth screenwriters make up some kind of political corruption plot in a noname city, when they have actually really cool supernatural ghosthunting lore??? Why? Just why... I guess koreans like politics or what, i dont really know. I really really liked the ghost hunting supernatural part of the show, why dont you build whole plot around it? Thats the first issue.

The second issue is that there is a lot of badass heroes, why they cry SO MUCH? I swear everytime the main character started to cry i rolled eyes. It was so annoying, just KICK ASSES, dont cry for god sake. I get it, koreans like tears, but do you really need the main hero to cry in every other action scene? It was so annoying.
To me it is completely wasted potential.
But to be fair i really enjoyed action scenes, combat was actually pretty cool but thats about it.

Beautiful

Since this show had such an unique atmosphere, extraordinary actors, superb OST and fairy tale feeling, im giving it absolute 10/10. I loved it, really i watched it alone once and then again with my girlfriend and she loved it too.

There is one flaw though.
Since there us plenty of people talking about how good it is (and it was) im gonna talk about the flaw which bothers me a little in this show and thats the disorder FL has. I dont know what its called but its some kind of sociopathy and i dont really think that its curable. Even though its a healing drama, i dont think this is healable. This spoils a little bit the message in the end because if it was reality i believe this realationship would end very very bad... I think many people overlook this cause FL is such a beautiful person but it kind of send wrong message. She behaves really mean like REALLY MEAN sometimes but because she is beautiful and cute is it ok to overlook that? The show us so good but this was bothering me a little. It sends a wrong message really.

Unreasonably slow

I actually really liked the start of the show. It was nice cute and i kinda knew that this is not gonna be some hot romance. It would be ok to me if the show was slow but this is just unreasonable. Even after characters get to each other and grow close together the still talk so weirdly and soooo slooooooow. This makes all the dialogs feel extremely unnatural and dragging. Do you really need to put some deep almost phylosophical meaning into every single sentence you say to your loved ones? Idk it just didnt feel real and that was bothering me so much.
And its so annoying because first few episodes were sooo good! Why is that it so often feels like korean screenwriters wrote first few episodes and cooked the rest on the fly? Why is it that the show is awesome at the start and mediocre at best in the end? Its so annoying.
What i liked on this show was development of FL. She is such a good actress and if she didnt have to go trhough such bad dialogues in the end it would bo soo good.
Idk such a wasted potential
