Great work Song Joong Ki! This movie was very emotional and heartbreaking in the treatment of the defector character & the female actor. The performance was exceptional and I am one of those watchers that loves a happy ending. Thanks for the hard work that went into this drama. The conditions depicted were just incredible to fathom. The only complain is that it was just too short but it was an incredible movie that had a heartwarming ending.Was this review helpful to you?
LOVING IT!
I am so loving this show. Both Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh are superior in this movie. There are four of us in our family that are watching it starting from age 10 up to a 73 year old grandma. We anxiously await for every episode. Both actors have such great chemistry and Park Eun Bin should get an award for her performance. She is just adorable in this movie.I love that it makes me laugh and definitely keeps us all entertained with the storylines. I have become so enamored with Korean dramas and movies. When I really enjoy one of them I watch them numerous times because I have to read the subtitles (I am an American) and I always see something new that I missed the first time. Keep it coming.

Can't Wait for Season 2
This was an exhilarating drama to watch. It kept my interest throughout season 1. Anxiously waiting for season 2. This drama made me a new fan of Lee Jae Wook. I had not really seen any of his other work but will be watching Extraordinary You next. All of the main actors were superb. Thank you for your hard work on this show. I have become enamored with KDramas most recently and watch them daily. I also love to watch the "behind the scenes" videos. It helps to see the actors as real people and not just fictional characters. Loving Dramas!Was this review helpful to you?
Worthy of watching
I have watched this drama twice. I have to read English subtitles which has a lot of my concentration the first time I watch it. When I watch it a second or third time I always see something new. While other ratings were not at the top, I personally loved the connection between Lee Jun Ho & Lee Se Young. Their performance was excellent and kept me at times laughing and definitely the tears rolled in particular in the last few episodes. I only comment on the entertainment of the dramas I watch and leave any personal political thoughts out.I watch dramas to learn, enjoy and reminisce my past experiences with love, loss and where I am now. I have become enamored with Korean dramas. I look forward to them everyday. Thanks to the talents of the gorgeous male actors and the beautiful women in these dramas.

Love It!
I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. It made me laugh, cry, and kept me entertained. I initially watched it because it had Kang Tae Oh in it but I now have discovered another actor that I can follow, Hang Dong Yoon.I initially thought it was going to be a silly movie but I have learned that most Korean dramas have to be watched for at least two to three episodes to fully get the storyline and understand the characters. I am so glad I stuck it out. I thoroughly enjoyed it and expect to see it again. Great job!

EXHILIRATING
This show kept me entertained and the emotions portrayed by Seo In Guk were remarkable. The story line kept me on pins and needles throughout all of the episodes. I would literally watch anywhere from 3-4 episodes in one day.I felt such empathy for Seo's character, he did a superior job in this role. I was heart broken because how the story ended but then, I am one of those individuals that loves happy endings. I would watch this movie again because of the main actors excellent performance.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story line, it made me laugh and I had tears rolling as I kept anticipating for Park Too Chun's role to disappear. All the main actors were superb and I have now become a fan of Park Too Chun. I started watching Korean dramas about 5 months ago and I am completely enamored with these dramas. I watch them every single day and as I finish one I look for another one to start. The writer did an excellent job in this drama. LONG BUT WORTH WATCHING
This drama was the longest I have every watched. Even though it came out in 2007, I am so glad we can still view it. I haveonly watched K-dramas for about a year but I love Ji Min Han's work is one of my favorites.The three young actors did an exceptional job. They were adorable.I totally fell for Lee Seo Jin's performance. The drama's story line was great and it totally tore me up when Ji Min's and Seo Jin's characters died. My emotions are a testament to the exceptional performance of the two main lead actors. I also totally loved the characters of the three main King's guards.
Even though the drama is very long, I would watch it again. Thanks for all of the hard work that went into this drama.

Well worth watching.
This drama kept me watching and had to force myself to go to sleep or I would have stayed up all night. The two main characters were great. Very interesting plot which kept me guessing. Yuna performed this role just excellent for such a young age. At first I just thought she was older but looked really young and that is the reason she was selected. I looked her up and she is actually very young. She a great performer.Yoon Kye Sang also did a great job. He must have gained weight for this role. He looks totally different. Loved his performance. Great job on the writing of this story.

Long but great work
It was quite long but I stuck thru the end. My only complaint is that my favorite actor Song Seung Heon dies in this drama as well. I watched Autumn's Tale and it broke my heart with the ending as well. I just recently started watching his work and hope that other dramas that I will be watching has a different ending. It was heartbreaking to see his character always getting beat up. I found myself crying during those times and definitely at the end. Effecting my emotions the way this drama did is a testament to the great work of the actors and the story line.I will be watching the list of Song Seung Heon's work hoping for a happy ending for his characters . Great work Song Seung Heon. I am not sure why the ratings are not higher. The drama was entertaining and kept me interested through the end.

LOVED IT!
I truly enjoyed this show. I am a fan of Lee Seo Jin and love his work. This show gave me a whole new perspective of these great actors/singers. They really worked hard, the show was funny, entertaining and I learned a lot about Korean dishes that I will try making at home. My family all love Korean dishes and we are from the USA. One particular scene that stands out is when a group went to the restaurant but it had already closed and I believe it was the last night for the customers in Bacalar. Lee Seo Jin conversed with the group and they agreed to serve the customers. Lee Seo Jun went out to get them and they serviced the customers even though they were visibly tired. That was very thoughtful of the group. I was really impressed with everyone's skills on the show. I presume that it was real. Thanks for the hard work everyone!!!Was this review helpful to you?
WONDERFUL LOVE STORY
I most recently discovered "Winter Sonata". I am so glad it is still available for viewing. I did so enjoyed this drama. The two main leads did such an exceptional job. I read up on Bae Yong Joon and was saddened that he no longer does any acting but I hope he is very happy. He has such great talent and I became one of his fans.I downloaded the OST and enjoy listening to it all the time. It is such a touching love story. It is definitely on my watch list. Thank you for this drama.

Cried like a baby!
This movie was very entertaining. The characters played were funny and kept my interest. I have to say I cried like a baby during the death absence of Lee Jae Wook's character. I could not believe that the show would end with such a sad note even though some of the other characters ended up in a happy scenario. I loved the character that Lee Jae Wook portrayed. I am his new fan and will be watching other dramas/movies he is in. Thank you for such a great entertaining drama but I could have done without the part of the death of the character played by Lee Jae Wook. I had to keep telling myself it was just acting. I could feel the sadness and heartbreak thru the great acting performed. Thank you for ending it in a positive note otherwise I would still be crying. Great job to all.Was this review helpful to you?
4th time
I for one loved this drama enough to watch it for the 4th time. I will probably watch it again. It's a great story and I loved all of the main actors' role in the drama. It entertained me, made me laugh and made me cry. I am an incurable romantic.Watching Korean dramas is something I started watching about 6 months ago and just love the majority of what I have viewed. I watch them every day and binge watch when a drama really catches my interest like King's Affection. The first time I watched it I binge watched. Dramas I really love I will normally watch them numerous times since I have to read the English subtitles and will normally miss something. I always watch the behind the scenes as well. To me it personalizes the actors. Great Job!!

Great performance
Even though this drama came out some time ago I just recently watched it. I am new to Kdramas and when I saw Gong Yoo in Coffee Prince he became one of my favorites to watch. I loved Goblin and I am so glad that Gong Yoo decided to perform in this drama. I loved the storyline and the main actors were all great. I am also a fan of Kim Go Eun and in this drama she and Gong Yoo illustrated great chemistry. The kdrama had me laughing and I cried like a baby when Kim Go Eun's character was killed. As a viewer I am thankful for the positive ending. Thank you to all of the actors for their hard work, this drama was delightful and I will definitely watch again. Thank you for the "behind the scenes" clips provided. Seeing this allows viewers like me to view the actors as a real person. Enamored by Kdramas!
