What a hard time rating this.

I had to compare it to Boss & Me and... Love O2O is in no way inferior to B&M. Both of them have their flaws and slow pace, so I think 7.5 is a good rating for them. This is based on a webtoon/novel as far as I've heard. And after watching this, I can imagine the webtoon being the exact same way.

The drama follows that basic romance concept many shoujo-mangas have. From beginning to end. So, it was quite easy to guess how the story would unfold and also end. It only varies in their executed subtleties.

As for the pace... Like I already mentioned in earlier posts, it's very slow. Though the beginning was more interesting and thrilling in a certain way, the second half becomes very weak. It was an up and down as repetitive trouble for our leads kept appearing, and not all of them could hold my excitement.

The romance part is clear and straightforward. Regarding its execution... It has its sweet times, that even make you blush sometimes but it also had some problems with showing passion in... certain moments. I enjoyed some of the characters alot although they were quite stereotype. The one I grew fond of the most was the male lead. He will linger in my memory a very long time.

It’s that time again, where another amazing drama must come to an end. I always hate these times, when dramas are so well written, acted, shot that I never want them to end, let alone be only 16 episodes long. It’s Okay, That’s Love is one of those dramas that I wish, and I think deserved 20 episodes, but who knows how the story would have turned out if it was extended? Well, we will never know because we got our ending and we have to deal with it.

A drama dealing with mental illness and love, that is right up my alley if you know the type of dramas I am into. The ones that can make you cry, sobbing and wondering how you will go on after that episode, and yet can make you smile from ear to ear from the romance and laugh till your stomach hurts from the comedy. Those types of dramas have a specific mixture that if one out does the other, it just might fall apart, but luckily this drama was balanced well. I am all for dramas where I cry every single episode, however, I think I may not have cried in a few because they were so heartwarming, and I loved that. It didn't have me dying of dehydration from lack of tears, but it didn't leave me wanting an emotional connection between the characters and their circumstances either.

There is so much I want to say about this drama, and yet I will not ruin it for those who have yet to see it. It is a drama you have to watch to be able to truly understand its greatness. The writing in this drama is fantastic. The way the characters are written and how the twists and turns in this drama come together, and when you finally see a character realize their situation and come clean about how they feel, it leaves you in an emotional state, whether happy for them or bad for them. I didn't feel like one character was written in, just to have a certain person play them or to be there for no reason, I felt that everyone had their part and they contributed to the overall story, even if they were not the main character, which is always good. I hate when there are random characters and they serve no purpose, but this drama gave them reasons and they fit well into the story line.

The acting in this drama was fantastic, how else can I put it? We had some of my favorite actors and actresses in this drama and I was not disappointed at all. It was really good to see Zo In Sung in a drama since his drama That Winter The Wind Blows last year, which still is one of my favorites. I’m going to have to add another one of his dramas to my all time favorite lists yet again. He did such a fabulous job as our main character. His story is our main focus and he did a wonderful job playing his broken character. The character we could connect with and love, and feel for. He did an amazing job and I expect nothing less from him. His acting, to me, is always top notch and I enjoyed him in this drama and I hope to see him in another drama this year if possible, if not I suppose I can wait till next year. Kong Hyo Jin is one of my favorite Korean actresses and I think she did an amazing job as well, coming back from her fantastic performance in Master’s Sun, which is one of my favorites from last year as well, I was not disappointed at all with her in this drama. I think she always plays a character that seems to go well with her appearance, and this is no exception. Her character can be rude and needed sometimes, but in the end, you have to love her, and she pulled it off well. I couldn’t see anyone else playing that role, and the two of them, In Sung and herself, make the best couple.

Sung Dong Il and Lee Kwang Soo did an amazing job as well, playing our housemates and fellow doctor and patients. Sometimes I feel like Kwang Soo isn't given the credit that he deserves, but after seeing this drama I think it’s safe to say that our baby Kwang Soo (even though he is much older than me) is a great actor. No one ever doubted Sung Dong Il, I love seeing him in more and more dramas as the years go by. He is such a hot tempered man, if you have seen Dad, Where Are We Going, and he plays characters like that well, as well. However he can put his emotions into a scene too, so he is the total package. I love that man and Kwang Soo and I was so happy to see them perform in such a great drama with such well-rounded characters. Jin Kyung also did a fantastic job as well. I love her, and she always plays characters that I love for some reason. I loved her in this and I thought she was a fantastic addition to the drama cast. Lastly, I want to talk about D.O. from EXO. I would love to talk about the rest of the cast but for time sake, I will have to sadly gloss over them, however, D.O. is someone I must talk about. He played such an important role in this drama, and I was a little apprehensive, to begin with. You know I'm not a huge fan of dramas using idols, especially since in my opinion 95% of them cannot act and are only put in dramas to raise the viewer ratings. However, D.O. can act, and I was super surprised by that. I'm not an EXO fan at all, but I'm giving him credit. He did a fantastic job playing such an important character. He had me tearing up so much in this drama and I think he will make such a great actor as time goes by.

This drama had one of the best OSTs of this drama season, and I may go as far as one of my all time favorites. The songs went with the scenes well, and they had lyrics that made you feel even more when the scene was going on. I loved it, and it's a total must buy in my opinion. The cinematography was also outstanding in this drama, and that is a very big deal to me. I loved all the shots, and the drama just looked so clean and bright, when it needed to and dark and bleak when the scene called for it. There weren't any strange and out of place angles or extreme close-ups for no reason. I love that. Though everything seemed to be flawless in this drama, in my opinion, it did have one setback, which I don't think is really such a big deal, but I want to point it out anyway. The ending.

[READ ON IF YOU DONT CARE ABOUT KNOWING IF THE ENDING IS HAPPY OR NOT]

The ending left me happy, and that’s a good thing, however, it didn't leave such a strong impact like I was expecting. I went into the last episode thinking I was going to bawl my eyes out and die after watching it, but in the end, I cried maybe in the first half or so but the ending just made me smile. I thought that maybe more details on the life of Jae Yoel after he had said goodbye to Kang Woo would have been more interesting, not really happy, but more interesting than a cheerful happy ending, however that being said I still loved the ending and I was happy things worked out in the end.

[END THOUGHTS..SAFE TO READ]

Overall, I thought this drama was fantastic. It's a drama I can see showing my friends and watching over and over again because it has such an impact on me. I had such an emotional and strong connection to its characters and it always left me wanting more and more. It had all the makings of what I love in a drama, so if you like tears, cheers, and love then I think you will like this drama, and I recommend it to hell and back for everyone because of Im pretty sure this is one of my all time favorite dramas now.

Painfully slow...

A new and amazing story with talented cast, beautiful background music and stunnning vfx.
This drama had potential except it failed for me.
The scenes were quite slow it's as if taking a leaf out of movies like Interstellar but there is a comparative difference. While (let's say as an example) Interstellar had slow scenes but actions were immediate. The slowness of scenes did not coincide with the decision-making of characters.
On the other hand, Silent Sea had characters making painfully slow decisions ending in my irritation.
Also the last episode really had me biting off my hand as my nails were already a goner.
This drama seriously tipped my anxiety off and not in a yielding manner.

This drama has stunning costumes and fleshed out well-written characters. Whoever was in charge of casting did a phenomenal job. a The soundtrack is amazing. The sets are perfect as well. This is one out of every few dramas that can't find anything wrong with. The script couldn't be better. This is the drama that got me into c-drama

Verry high rewatch value and I would recommend this to anyone who likes historically based C-dramas.

I have seen 43 dramas and this is my first review! The first 15 minutes of the show I was a little taken aback by what was happening. In fact, I remember watching it a few months ago and had stopped it. I gave it another chance and I am SO glad I did. After watching past the first 15 minutes I understood why the first 15 minutes was how it was. The show is so refreshing with how the story line is told. I had many moments where I actually did laugh out loud until my sides hurt. I cried just a bit and even had a great squuueee moment! Tremendous show.

Now for the nitty gritty: The show is unique. There are characters in this show and if you give them a chance you will enjoy the journey. The characters are so strong and the writing is just as strong where you just are flowing through the drama. Even the characters who might've gotten a little annoying were so a part of the show that I still completely enjoyed those characters as well. The music is FANTASTIC. It isn't too overbearing. It went with the scenes really well. It also made me keep looking up the songs because I had never heard them before but instantly fell in love with them. The show even had meaning believe it or not!

Out of my 43 shows there have been a handful that I didn't want to start another drama right away because I wanted to keep the feeling of the show with me for a little while. This drama was one of them. There have only been a handful of shows I wanted to rewatch. This was one!

Even the ending was done so well that even though it may not have gone the way I thought I wasn't left feeling like something was missing like so many other dramas.

If I had to give it a criticism it would be those characters that were slightly annoying. Did they really need to be that annoying? Who knows? Like I said I enjoyed watching them anyway. The only other criticism would be more time with the main couple, but isn't that in every drama?! lol Take a chance on this show! I loved it!

Outstanding - an unrivalled model for other series.

This is the best series I have ever seen. The most meaningful, harmonious and beautiful. The audience received a story of love in which nothing was created by force. The characters slowly developed their feelings for each other, no one rushed them, and at the same time the audience had the impression that it all happened naturally and truly.
However, the most important thing is that this series not only presented the fate of the two main characters, but also conveyed important content, values that should guide us in our everyday lives. The story was like learning to live, discovering yourself and finding your purpose in life. Watching each episode, I felt that I was beginning to understand myself. I myself wanted to become a better person and find my own home, a place where I would be truly happy.

This series is an unmatched model for other series. After watching this ATOTS, I have the feeling that others in this genre are just childish, exaggerated and over-sweetened stories for teenagers.

Outstanding series. That's all I can say.

A pretty well-made early Thai GL

Many people may seek this series out after watching Gap. So I’m here to say that Love Senior may not reach that level of entertainment for viewers. It’s not a bad watch though.
This series starts the fairly new girl group Cosmos, with their song “You Get Lucky” as the OST. All 12 members have main and supporting roles.
The main 4 actors ,Anda, Lookaew, Noon, and Praewa have good chemistry in their coupling and you want to root for them. The rest of the members may have their roles based on individual acting skills and maybe availability. Some of these women are still in college. Love it. I want to specifically call out Atom for her portrayal of Luktarn. She’s a great character and was played well. It is a shame how the series ended with her. Left much to be desired.
The story is a bit all over the place. There’s subplots and minor characters that disappear for several episodes, only to show up later with little pay off. It seems a bit rushed. As is the series was limited to 10 episodes.
I’m happy to see that this was directed by a masculine-presenting woman(as far as I know). I feel some of the queerness and relationships between the women feel genuine and that may be due to their direction.
Overall, Love Senior is a decent show for this time. There are a lot of Thai GLs being released with bigger budgets since they are proven to have a good chance at success. This series gives me hope that they can only get better and better as studios see their potential to be just as profitable as BLs.

First off, id like to say that I am a huge fan of reverse harem! and thats probably one of the reasons i liked this drama so much!

Atashinchi no Danshi is a light hearted and unique drama with a lot of comady and random over the top scenes that made this drama so fun to watch. the storyline is original and there wasn't any predicable or cliche moments that would get in the way of you expectations, its the type of drama where you don't know what is going to happen and anything can really happen!

in my opinion i thought the actors played their roles really well and i liked the way they all interacted with each other - Im a huge fan of Yamamoto Yusuke and Seto Koji!

Seto Koji did a really good job acting as a recluse and Okura Takeru made me laugh a alot - the entire cast did!

even though this drama is centred around family and comady, it did treat us to a little bit of romance - but i wish they added more romance into the storyline!

all in all, i absolutly love this drama! it was one of the first dramas i ever watched and id recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for a fun, quirky and light hearted drama and is a fan of Yamamoto Yusuke!

Was it just me or could I not stop crying? LMAO. The first thing that attracted me to the show was the trailer. I think the next thing that also put it over the top was the unique story that it has. I didn't personally watch the other versions of it but the thing that really hit home for me was knowing that this girl was hard working and a good person day and night but bad things happen to good people and that's something I can entirely feel. We've all had that time where we just do and push and put 100% into everything we do and basically still get shit on. The story was about a unique girl that was just trying to survive but she was honestly just on the end of it. Sometimes you get tired of pushing and get tired of trying and she just needed something to make things better and that happen to be a someone; an angel. A great guy, sweet, caring but also just blatantly by the rules because he has to be and together, they just try to survive, go through ups and downs and do what they can and that together just caught my heart. Oh man. I loved the chemistry. The good people were amazing, the bad people were great and everyone just did a fantastic job.

JJ and Jane's chemistry and acting was just amazing. I adored their chemistry, I loved that they really clicked and even though things got really bad with their characters, they pushed through. I loved the friends aka other angels. I loved that Mek and Mook could work together and man they played good bad characters.

The music was great, very fitting for the scenes, great lyrics.

I would rewatch it. I actually stayed up to binge this and just finished it and I already WANT TO REWATCH IT.

So all in all, you should check this out.

I had been wanting to watch this since for ages but held myself off as I wanted to read the original book by Jean Webster first; so I sat down to watch thinking I knew what was about to come; boy was I wrong! At one point I thought "is this really based around/off the book?" I expected there to be some twists but definitely didn't see what was coming right until it hit me square in the face, by which point I became a blubbering mess. Now I don't cry easily by no means so that's got to account for something, right? However this film could have done with being a tad bit longer as some off the scenes jumped to the next quite abruptly but the actors' performance more than made up for it. Over all I think it’s defiantly one worth watching.

I was not sure to watch this drama because of its law ratings and only one review in MDL.... Li Yi Feng's main role in here made me have a try. Honestly, after watching this drama, I think it deserves to be watched ! The story, characters interactions and staging are just very good. The script writer is imaginative, original and makes the story lively and untertaining even though from episode 30 till the end the story tends to drag. The drama takes place in New York and in Beijing which is quite interesting for actions and sceneries. But too many lines in english make chinese actors sound weird. Non chinese characters in New York are rather secondhand actors and this is damaging the quality of the whole drama.
This drama deals with modern dilemmas : carreer vs love, men's aspirations vs women's aspirations, dreams vs reality. And most of all, it's about life and how you can handle your own dreams and personnal values in a society which isn't necessarily entitled to satisfy any of them. Isn't this too much for a drama ? Also, I think that "Wait in Beijing" is a very bad drama'stitle. Actually "I'm waiting for you in Beijing" would have been much better. This sentence is told by a middle aged man to the woman he loves. She is actually escaping from him because she is unable to accept his feelings, not knowing herself how to face love.
What is love ? How to deal with it when it's unrequested, one-sided, illusional ? How to deal with it when the one you love is your best friend's lover? How to deal with it when the one you love hardly gives you any support and misundertand your inner needs ? How to be brave enough to let it go when love doesn't bring you any happiness but just sufferings ?
The storyline focus on two childhood friends raised in Beijing who share the same dream of becoming famous fashion's designers and going abroad to gain international fame. Sheng Xia (Maggie Jiang) is from a rather rich chinese family and after graduating goes to New York in order to accomphish her dream. She owns a fashion shop in New York while her friend Jia Xia Duo (Jiang Meng Jie) remains in Beijing because of her poor health and lack of money. She tries to make a living selling selfmade designed outfits in streets. She's got a boyfriend who supports her and believes in her talent and dreams. In New York, Sheng Xia meets Xu Tian ( Li Yi Feng) a chinese-american orphan no-name lawyer who tries to help poor and helpless people providing them law support and advice. Those two don't seem to have anything in common but they will actually fall in love. Sheng Xia has been dating Shen Kai ( George Hu) for three years when she meets Xu Tian. Shen Kai proposes to Sheng Xia, but she is not ready yet to get married and wants to spend all her energy in her career. Another important character is Sheng Xia's employee and chinese friend, Jia Xiao Duo (Jiang Meng Jie). Xiao Duo is waiting for her charming prince and dares to date different boys until she'll find the good one. She is the one who makes the first move with boys. She is here to promote girls emancipation and girl's power, but actually she is lost and to her love means sacrifice...
Different kinds of love and different ways of loving are shown in this drama. Happy endings for all ?

I liked how the actors played it. The atmosphere of the series was amazing.I could watch it again. In some moments it was very sad and in others it was funny. The places in the series are beautiful.I liked how suddenly Wei Wuxian became an enemy.I watched this series because it's very popular and I'm glad I watched it.I watched it for almost three months. After trying it, I had to watch similar series. When the series ended, I was sad because I wanted to keep watching as I enjoyed it.After trying the series, I had to watch the Anime version and read the Novel.I would simply rate it as one of the best series.

THE CHEMISTRY!!! -finished all episodes in under 24 hours! please watch!

Now, I rarely watch KDrama and CDrama romance films because there's just something about it that just makes me cringe. After watching this show, "Love Designer", I now realize what I like and don't like in shows.

First off, the plot line. I know some people hate it or find it annoying, but I genuinely think its a unique concept (then again, I don't watch much drama/romance shows because majority are terribly written). SL is like the "rich male" who owns a business with a tragic but not so tragic back story, and ZF if like your (supposedly) relatable female who is trying to chase her dreams. I originally thought SL was going to be annoying af and made me want to punch him, but Johnny (HJY) literally made me fall in love with not only SL, but the actor himself. His way of pursuing ZF throughout the entire show, is the cutest things ever and them bickering brings me joy. Dilraba did such an amazing job portraying ZF in a relatable female character and not the typical role you see in every other drama.

HOWEVER! I did hate how much the characters played nice, when they CLEARLY could've fcked their enemies over (because they legit almost ruined them) but that might just be the asshole in me not being able to do it myself.
- I have realized how much the older generationed parents pisses me off. Being chinese myself, I am not surprised by their view points and outlook on what a "normal" life to them is, but seeing it played out made me want to punch them. NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET MARRIED. NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO HAVE KIDS. YOU DONT GET TO MAKE DECISIONS IN YOUR KIDS LIFE. SINGLE IS OKAY. NO KIDS IS ALSO OKAY.

When watching this show, there is literally one thing you CANNOT deny, and its the beautiful chemistry Dilraba and Johnny have together. All of their kiss scenes, made me feel so happy and not full on cringe vomit feelings, and that's a first coming from romance shows. They have such a unique connection and on screen (and off screen), you feel as though this is a real relationship. Not only their kiss scenes, them just bickering and arguing with each other made me laugh so hard and fall in love with them even more. (don't even get me started on the ending because this bitch full on CRIED tears of joy for the two. Will be rewatching even though I just finished the show)

This one was one of my most expected dramas of the year and it disappointed me week by week to a point where I started to feel ANGRY whenever it was monday and I HAD to watch it because I already made it that far (and also because I was watching with friends). The #1 reason why it frustrates so much lies on the “potential” factor.

(And before I start this review properly let me address that I do like slow-burn, slice-of-life, nothing-ever-happens dramas and it's really not the case here because some things do happen here, they are just poorly executed.)

Now, ROY.
The first episodes are actually quite alright, I would say. They do make a good job of introducing the world and the characters and the way everything is connected. But here is the catch: It doesn't go far from that. Specially considering, like I said, things do happen a lot in this drama, but in the most frustrating way possible: OFF-SCREEN. In a similar note, time in this drama is used in the most bizarre way possible too, whenever something big happens they will just jump a few days, weeks, months, years without going into any trouble of revealing that to you, the viewer. You'll sometimes realize things like “So that couple is dating for over a year? But it seems like two weeks has passed at most??? How and when did that happen??” and the answer will always be flashbacks.

Not your usual, logical, quick flashbacks but the craziest and longest flashbacks you could ever imagine. Every episode ends in a cliffhanger but the next one starts in a few [days, weeks, years, who knows] before the scene where the previous episode has ended. It even has flashbacks... inside... flashbacks. It's insane.

And..... chemistry. It doesn't have much. And I'm not talking about the main couple, I'm talking about pretty much everyone. This is maybe too personal, but to me, it really felt like there's a lack of warmness between the characters that made me feel so distant from the whole thing.

Acting-wise, this is alright, they're mostly good/great actors, the OSTs were great too, but the story is frustrating and awful to be honest. Every episode feels like a car getting ready to take off in the morning and then randomly stopping before you can take out of the garage because the battery has died. Can't recommend at all.
