Different (of the beaten path)but intriguin.

Different (of the beaten path)but intriguin. Strong female lead with no weakness. But thre is some weakness (humanasing). It intrigues me to find out the motivation, the message this series is emitting. Within the hard, strog female lead..., it's the weakness sometimes showed wich attrackes me. For me it's worth seeing it again to comprehend better

wow what a revelation, its not like the viewers…

wow what a revelation, its not like the viewers knew who "Zhang Gongzhu" really is for the past 10 episodes or so -_- The Princess didn't even bother to get herself an unsuspicious name that doesn't sound like her actual title -_-And why the hell is everyone ignoring Sui Zhuo's PTSD?! poor guy, and also poor Dong Er she is left the only one caring for Sui Zhuo.

fast progression

wow... i'm shocked by how fast things are already progressing. what we usually get by like ep 6/7 has already happened in the 2nd ep. this makes me kinda scared about what's to come. i feel like they progressed their relationship too fast. i would've like to see more slow burn.

A great start

The drama starts of with a great start and something I didn't expect. Lee Yeon Seo is blind and Shin Hye Sun's portrayal of a blind person is very well done. We are introduced to the characters and from the first episode we know who the 'bad guys' are and what they are capable of. This is my first time seeing L - Kim Myung Soo in a drama and he's very entertaining to watch. This is my 3rd time seeing the type casted Lee Dong Gun although he's a great actor, because I've seen him portray the same characters his actions will be predictable to watch. The drama gives me a good impression so far.

A good set up

No, the cheerleading doesn't start (or even get mentioned) in the first episode. But it does a good job of setting up the characters and situation. It gives a grim, but realistic look at life as a lower achieving, poorer student in a very competitive (academically) school. It's shockingly well written, though no without their cheesy drama moments. It's also quite an emotional episode, showing the main character, Yeondu, hit rock bottom, setting up that she has nothing to lose and the only way is up. It really set up my interest in seeing more!

What really happened to Project D?

This isn't a spoiler review/react like what you guys are thinking. I currently am still need to watch episode 9 myself and finish the whole season - yep, it's my first time watching this as well so this react is just a first-impression-basis. When I watched this episode last night I was all eyes and ears because they finally were gonna tell us what was inside the safe (that they didn't get to open last time btw) they found in Jeju island back in episode 2. So this episode tells us about a friend of K who is giving our detectives three tests to show him their capabilities and hopefully work for K's friend (Kwangsoo hilariously showed his loyalty after the secretary showed him the cheques LMAOOOO). They were told that the tests were reconstructions of real cases and the detectives genuinely believed that, until things turn slightly more questionable as they move to the last test (I won't spoil this one, but SLIGHT SPOILER ON THE NEXT SENTENCE). I gave this a 9.5 because I honestly didn't like how Kwangsoo answered the given problem on the first test when it was Sehun who figured it out. I know the show is semi-scripted, but I still couldn't help being disappointed when Sehun didn't get a lot of praise for how he solved it (I know I know! He was praised by most of the team, but it's just me when I say that it just wasn't enough praise, please don't attack me T_T). That left a sour impression on me that's the reason why I didn't give a 10, but 9.5 is satisfactory enough since the plot finally got us to know more about Project D. I won't spoil any of you from here, that's why I suggest you all to watch the whole episode, it WILL be worth it I promise! I'm gonna move on to episode 9 from here, and I'll give out a review/react of it afterwards after I do see it.

It's Better to Live Badly than to Die Well

This was the female protagonist's motto and this was what drove her actions. I loved Gina Jin's expressions during her performance, it's so over the top that I felt happy even though the some of scenes were so minor. I especially enjoyed the interactions between the Emperor and the female lead, rewatching those scenes several times just to giggle at them.\Great intro to the series.

Finally!

The last few episodes have been a little dragging to watch but episode 24 and especially 25 brought my love for both characters and they‘re chemistry right back!
