impressive, worth the watch!

The acting was really top notch, like Yoo Ji Tae actually builded up for this role, i'm really impressed , like wow , what a transformation!!
All the protagonists did a really good job, i really appreciated Nam joo hyuk 's acting here, he did improved throughout the years.
Since he is enlisting soon or maybe he has already enlisted, we may not had a second season that soon.
I enjoyed the watch, it wasn't boring.
I was rooting for the "vigilante" lol. I get where he came from, and yes at the end of the day it actually seems like the bad guys win.
9/10 because it was an easy watch, and yes i want to boost the ratings on this one lol!

Mixed feelings

My expectations for "Strong Girl Namsoon" were high, but the plot attempting to address too many stories across three generations of strong women turned out to be chaotic. From romantic aspects to personal growth and justice, the narrative felt scattered, leading me to moments of boredom where I contemplated abandoning the series. Despite a strong cast, the script had issues with numerous unresolved storylines involving antagonists, which seemed more intriguing than the main plot. I did finish it, but I wouldn't recommend it. I anticipated a more enjoyable experience akin to "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," and while there were amusing scenes, it fell short of my expectations.

POETRY, INTELLIGENCE, LOVE AND HUMOR : J'adoooooore !

I loved so much this drama.
What a beautiful story, full of poetry, intelligence, love and humor. Thank you for this wonderful achievement and, of course, thank you to Ni Ni for her radiant interpretation and to the entire team of actors.
All the actors are excellent. They are often in the 2nd degree, which gives a lot of dynamism to the story.
Of course, Ni Ni is perfect for this role. She dominates the story, the fight scenes and the sense of seduction of this woman from a parallel world.
I discovered Bae Yu... and I inevitably fell in love with him. What an actor !

All is very strong !

Excellent romance, great production, completely let down by mediocre plot . . .

Frustratingly, the political plot is full of flaws: tedious, goes around in circles, cartoon villains, and full of nonsensical story. Just lots of evil, greedy one note characters that pop up again and again. But, the romance plot is so good, that I finished this drama anyways. In some ways, the political plot is so clearly bad that it's easy to skip through the political parts and just watch the romantic scenes.

This has everything you could want in a romance: a Romeo and Juliet forbidden romance, a man head over heals for a woman who is his equal, tons of rescuing and protectiveness, and putting each other first. It will go down as one of my favorite romantic couples, and this drama reminded me of Xu Kai's excellent acting and romance in Story of Yanxi Palace.

The production values and direction are also extremely good. The costumes are very original and beautifully designed. There's a lot of excellent choices with camera angles, and music. The action scenes are thrilling and don't use much CGI.

This drama is so uneven it's hard to recommend. But, I must say I was deeply touched, and the romance will stick with me. It may be worth a try to see if this love story sticks with you.

Cute lighthearted series from OffGun

I was excited for Cooking Crush as it is OffGun's series right after an iconic NotMe. ( which got me into BL world )
Though i watched their individual series, i craved for them being together on screen once again and cooking crush it is !!

I loved how this series is lighthearted and easy going, it is all about developing a crush and romance + cooking. The plot is good so far and the characters are lovable. Off Gun are killing it with their subtle expressions. Firefly is one interesting character to watch - cat before mom but becomes a free to fly butterfly later and it being played by our mischevious Neo adds to the fun. Aungpao is kinda surprising me with his acting, though this is his debut series. Fire and dynamite together are cute and their story is gonna be unique as dynamite is very open and persistent about pursuing Fire.

This series has the funny part in it, not the laugh out loud type but definetly the Hehe - giggle type.

I love how both Prem and Ten are developing crush on each other simultaneously. This series is kinda collecting some iconic lines here with the second couple
1. Fire starts swearing on phone
2. "I told goddess lakshmi about you"

So far it is fun

Korean violence censorship at its funniest

This was actually such a fun time (until the end what was that????) Like I love the White Collar/Leverage-esque concept as always <33 And you really can't go wrong with Ma Dongseok (who's incredible in this by the way like I adored his character.) The plot for the most part is fun, it's this traumatized cop rounding up violent criminals to help him solve crimes and the main protagonist was actually such an interesting character like the scenes where it would go to the flashbacks with his daughter to his empty, lifeless state in the present was CHILLING. And ofc my crime found family's dynamic is also so fun, I love the minor details of their characterizations. Like how Ma Dongseok's character was a gang leader so whenever he tries to solve the crime he just pulls together a group of cronies and impulsively barges right into the problem (and is usually right like give this man more credit!!!) And then there's the hitman who will analyze the scene and think about how he would've pulled it off and is very analytical and smooth about it- everything about him, his appearance, his mannerisms, his speech- it's all very to the point and smooth. And then there's Park Haejin's character who just kinda zones out and is super OP? Idk but good for him. Idk i really enjoyed all of those characters and I actually enjoyed the writing on them and all the minor details, which is something that doesn't happen often for me when I watch an OCN drama. And the individual cases and how they got solved was also really fun. But idk... something about the plot as a whole and the main character's own vengeance based path didn't sit well with me. Also I'm sorry but why did they make the one female character so annoying??? Like she was just unnecessary first of all and it just felt like they were just shoving her in there just to have a female character? Why wasn't one of the 'bad guys' a woman or something instead of giving us this annoying character who really did nothing.

Also my favorite thing about this show is how unintentionally morbidly hilarious it is. Like hitman going into detail about how he dismembered the woman he liked's husband right to her face was the funniest thing I watched last year. WHO JUST SAYS THAT???????????? Like I agree she deserved to know that he was the one who killed her husband but my man was going into unnecessary detail FOR NO REASON??? Idk it was funny to me for no reason. And then there was the part where they blurred out the bloody organs so all you can see is a bag of blurred blood. Which that also shouldn't have been funny but for some reason it took me out.

They did this for all the loserwomen of the world

Chun Songyi is THE kdrama loserwoman of all time. Jun Jihyun does an incredible job at playing into the hammier aspects of Songyi's character while also making the audience root and sympathize with her despite her literally being a nightmare like she's got the range. Honestly Jun Jihyun is the best part of the show like her presence is the best on the show. And yeah, this is not the greatest show of all time. The second male and female leads are pretty weak characters and the villain is a very one dimensional run of the mill kdrama serial killer villain cause every kdrama needs one of those apparently. I still don't know how I feel about Do Minjoon but him laugh/sobbing while watching Songyi's video of her dancing to 'Marry Me' is perhaps one of my favorite scenes in any kdrama like it's absolutely hilarious while still being so poignant and it makes me feel for both of their characters. And honestly yeah if I was an alien who had been living for centuries I would also do anything to stay with Chun Songyi she's INSANE and gorgeous and its Jun Jihyun. Also I just think the leads are pretty cute together and there was a DalShabet cameo in one of the episodes so I kinda won. I am kind of biased as this was one of my first kdramas, but it was just such a 'turn your brain off and have a good time watching Songyi's antics' kind of watch and I do adore most of the humor.

SHUN OGURI's POWER

The premise of girl pretends to be boy and then the two leads fall in love it's, most of the time, annoying as hell for me. Specially if it comes to Asian countries where LGBTQ+ things are still very taboo and the merriage isn't even legal yet besides on Taiwan. Most of the time I skip ahead and never watched these type of shows, but due to the cast of so many actors that I already knew and due to the main point was unrelated to "feminism" I opted for giving this a chance, and that's when I realized I actually really liked this drama.

It's still very old school, and does not survive to today's standards on equality and respect to LGBTQ+ folks, but considering the time and ignoring that "I'm not an homo" joke that is not funny at all, I think in general terms it's still a pretty funny and entertaining drama that has you rooting for the two leads to end up together from the get go.

Perfectly balanced

Perfect balance of the serious murder mystery, well placed comedy and the right amount and good pacing of the romance. As someone who likes mythology and is interested in it this series is even more interesting to me.
The acting is great and the chemistry is amazing and the cinematography is great. It's a great start and I look forward to every Saturday now.

My standard have been raised now my drama life is ruined

if I had to summarise this series in one word it would be either perfect or a masterpiece I can put it with boys over flowers and say it is better…

it was based around music so I loved it anyways… the acting… the casting and even the plot and story were amazing I mean they could do a little bit more with the step mother fiasco but all is well that ends well and the ending was satisfying

many things still remained unexplained because of the abrupt end but the whole story had a grip

it was fast paced and had no nonsense in it I must say they sped up the ending a little but common not everything can be perfect but it is a masterpiece

I must say it is the first series after love between fairy and demon that made me think wowww I am in love.

I can bet 10yrs of my life that it is the best series of 2022 and 2023 because I didn’t find anything this good in these 2 years

Thank you so much for making such an addicting and amazing series
You have successfully ruined my karana life by raising my standard

Forget what you think you know about makjangs and give this a chance

If Kingdom is the pinnacle of the zombie kdrama, I'd say Perfect Marriage Revenge is the pinnacle of the makjang kdrama and I mean that sincerely. I had absolutely no intentions of watching this but I kept seeing rave reviews after the final episode and you know what, they were right and I had an absolute blast. The writing is excellent, with dialogue that's fresh and snappy, and the pacing is pretty much perfect, without any of the usual filler you get in 16-episode dramas but also without the rushed ending you might get from an 8-episode drama. The characters are so fun - the good guys are easy to root for and the bad guys are even easier to hate - and the relationship between Ji Yoo and Do Gook is so compelling that they just might be one of my favorite kdrama couples of the year. I really hope other drama writers are taking notes because this show took a bunch of overused tropes and elevated them with a well-written and well-paced script and the end result was pretty much magic.

I know this wasn't a Netflix original, but it feels like it could've been, and I'll still consider it part of my holy trinity of revenge dramas: there's The Glory, if you want a dark, difficult melo centered around school bullying; My Name, if you want an action crime thriller with devastating emotional stakes; and now Perfect Marriage Revenge, if you want a near-perfect execution of a contract marriage makjang.

Loved this movie!

Just loved this movie so much. I saw the Anime first and spotted a short video letting me know the movie existed - the search was on until I found it. I have already watched it several times and have shared it with so many others.

Love the leads. When he first meets Miyo and tests to see if she is "...just another in a long line..." type girls - his reactions to how she responds are so perfect - you could almost miss them (and, by reading other reviews - I see that people do).

When an actor becomes so immersed in their character that nothing needs to be said - that is a rare talent. After a first watching of the movie - I bounced over to a BL - Dangerous Romance - that had a stellar cast as well. There is a moment when one of the leads acknowledges/appreciates something done for them and the other characters reaction is so pure - you know it is unscripted and from the heart. It's beautiful to watch and experience. This happens many times in this movie as well.

Some of my favorite parts have no words. When he challenges/threatens Miyo when first meeting and she doesn't respond as expected. When Miyo visits him at the headquarters - worried he isn't taking care of himself and he runs across the room to see her. When Miyo cries after being appreciated for the meal she has prepared. There are so many more.

Put this one in your library so, you can come back to it for a fix when you need it. And, yes - to have that perfect hair.

Have you finger on the fast forward button at all times...

Agree with so many reviews. Some with great lines. While this one was a mature look at relationships and people in general, it suffered on focusing on too many things that just didn't matter. While discussing this series with a friend, I told her that watching paint dry could be more interesting.

Agree - the chemistry that was bubbling to the top in the beginning was washed away as the series dragged on. It got to the point that when I would see certain characters or, start to listen to their conversation - I knew I could blow through the scene and not miss a single thing. Time saver!

Give me a series like My Happy Marriage (both Anime and live action) where you are left wanting for more. In eleven live action episodes and less for the Anime - we fell in love with the main characters and wanted the best for them. We cheered when they fought the evil ones and were hurt as much as they were hurting while they went through their trials.

Wonderful opportunities were lost in this series. And, how about that school? You could only be an ambassador/guide if you were good looking, talented AND gay? LOL Like we saw in My Engineer (a guilty pleasure - even with Poy's terrible acting skills) - why aren't there 20 college girls screaming and complaining about all the best guys being completely unavailable?

Well done...Not sure why others didn't like it...

I am not going to go into spoiler territory or, retell the story...I just want to say that I really enjoyed this series. It was believable. It stayed in its lane and used every character. While we could see what may happen, the writers handled it well enough so, we weren't yelling at the screen when things went wrong for a character or, characters we cared about.

Loved the grandmother. She had heart and watched everything unfold and only occasionally stepped in to guide it. The father didn't understand and gave up too early. But, with everyone else's help - found his way. You could see why people did what they did and where their mistakes were made - loved that we got to see them own it and learn from them.

This one will stay in my library so, I can go back to favorite episodes. It isn't easy to open yourself up when you have spent so long protecting yourself from hurt. Happy to see this one unfold in an acceptable timeline and while they may have gone too far in the current trend of let's everyone be gay by time the credits roll - it's forgivable since we end up liking everyone involved.

ML and FL's acting and chemistry

I usually end up dropping or skipping scenes with Cdramas but not this one. The leads looked like they're the same age. I love that they didn't breakup and supported each other, even with the lies, which I hated. The 2nd ML was horrible, with his eye squinting and exagerrated acting, I read he's better in other dramas though. There were cringy moments, but overall, the leads were really good, they acted well even with scenes without lines. I hope they'll do another drama together. This is, so far, my fave Cdrama.
