Very realistic depiction of young love

I liked it. It was a comedy, but also realistic. It shows four immature youngsters who do very immature things. (Big surprise!) You often want to smack them. No one is a villain here, they take turns being infuriating. She is often manipulating, trying to "train" her lover to be as she would like him to be, but also consistent in her feelings and goals and ultimately most of what she does is to help him too. He, on the other side, is kind-hearted, pure and sincere, but also extremely childish! He's often blind to things clear to everyone else and his lack of self-confidence makes him distrustful and makes him act like a total idiot and a jerk.
But then you understand that yes, inexperienced youngsters can and will behave like this in real life. And they gradually learn their lessons and grow up. But it will take time.
The secondary couple's relationship is also very endeering.
I think that this drama is a useful watch for young people, very educational: it might make them think about how they conduct their own lives and love affairs and maybe, just maybe, avoid some of the pitfalls that the drama characters fall into.

a disaster

The beginning was great, the plot was amazing too. However as the drama progressed it got worse. By the end everything was illogical and in shambles. ending is weird asf. I had lots of hopes and expectations for this drama but I'm very disappointed with the outcome

There were better endings they could've used, i mean in an extra ep both our FL and her Bestie find ouyang and murong look alikes who have no memories of their past life and encounter with the 2 girls. but it isnt the ideal ending.

I actually really love it!

I put off watching this show for quite some time because of how thoroughly mid the ratings and reviews are. Imagine my surprise when I fell completely head over heels for this series after the very first episode.

It's a very quiet, slow story with a lot of lingering shots and silent moments which in a lesser show could very easily have become boring and repetitive, but here, thanks to fantastic acting performances by the entire cast as well as the precise editing, serves to build atmosphere and tension expertly.
Which is not to say the entire show is tense and dramatic, oh no there is plenty of charming, understated humour as well as some perfectly timed non-verbal comedy which genuinely made me laugh out loud.
Through most of the story the characters talk to each other fairly little; instead, the writers take the show-not-tell approach and let the audience get to know the characters through flash-backs and small, silent interactions. This not only serves to highlight the acting prowess of the cast, it also helps build a certain level of suspense as well as drive the plot - the main characters are two people who are, understandably, hesitant to be open and direct with one another and their small, increasingly intimate quiet exchanges eventually culminate in a highly emotional conversation when the two are finally able to communicate clearly with one another. In fact, they talk specifically about what led to their miscommunications and reflect on what they should have done differently so as to avoid further problems and give their relationship a real chance to succeed. This scene is a great release of tension and, in my opinion, a very satisfying pay-off.
One of the biggest complaints people have about the show seems to be the big kiss that happens here and I agree, it's bad.
But personally I don't think it spoils anything. These two are not afraid to get close to each other, we see them get physically close and touch casually repeatedly during the show and there is a clear intimacy and palpable romantic tension between them.
It is also neither the first nor the last kiss the two of them share and I feel their final kiss specifically is incredibly sweet, so I honestly don't think the "big bad kiss" is nearly as much of an issue as people make it out to be.

In short, if you want a highly character-driven story with great acting, solid visuals, lots of subtle (and some not so subtle) humour, and an incredibly charming slow-burn romance, then this show is for you!
It's obviously not perfect, but it's clever, sweet, and fun so give it a go, I honestly don't think you'll regret it.

drama with no drama

this was a very feel-good drama. there was literally no conflicts or like any hardship throughout it all LOL. i started watching it for zhou ye cuz i loooovwed her in back from the brink. but her character in this really didn’t have much dimension. same with the main relationship and just all of the characters… there was no personality lol. mo qingcheng was lowkey cute tho… i liked how slow their pace was and it seemed like he REALLY loved sheng sheng like REALLy loved her. cute. but like no plot at all LOL same things happening: they cook together, they have their faces rly close togehter and he says something swoon worthy, friends see them and ruin their moment. there was nothing bad happening in the drama so it was lowkey calming esp during college app season ????gonna fina another zhou ye drama with more character to her cuz she’s just so pretty . this drama didn’t do her justice tho

Captivating Drama!

I don’t usually leave reviews but this drama blew my mind. The script was written very well, and I found myself captivated by every episode! I am very impressed and happy with how amazing the actress portrayed someone with autism and the challenges they face. The chemistry between the fl and ml is another thing I cannot praise enough. You can see very well how the two fall in love and show their love. Everything that they do is for a valid and realistic reason. Additionally, the supporting characters are also very realistic and go through character development throughout the drama. This drama just overall exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait for season 2!

In honor of Lee Sun Kyun... one of the reasons I fell in love with dramas.

I've recently taken a break from dramas and writing reviews while mourning the loss of someone very close to me but it was learning about the tragic passing of Lee Sun Kyun that kept me up tonight and ironically led to me staying up to watch "Sleep". I have been a fan of Lee Sun Kyun since "Coffee Prince", and missed all of the recent scandal and drama while caught up in my own personal sadness, so this has been a truly shocking evening. Maybe that's why this simple yet disturbing psychological horror story resonated with me. How your mind can play tricks on you when you're in a heightened emotional state is always a concept that fascinates me and adding a sleep disorder to that makes it even more interesting. This drama walks the fine line between familiar horror tropes that just work well with direction and visuals that are fresh and memorable. It was also the perfect film for the mood I'm currently in... something sadly disturbing and haunting.

Lee Sun Kyun has portrayed so many roles that I have loved and this one isn't necessarily a standout among them, but he is definitely in his element. He plays Hyun Soo, an aspiring Actor who lives with his super supportive and very pregnant wife Soo Jin played by Jung Yu Mi. Their relationship seems pretty ideal until Hyun Soo's disturbing actions while asleep put major stress on their lives. I love that the way things slowly evolve is so realistic and that's what made it so disturbing to me. Yes, there are some classic horror moments including possibly animals and kids being hurt, but that's pretty much par for the course in a horror movie as far as I'm concerned, although this movie never goes overboard with over-the-top blood or comes close to anything truly gorey. In true psychological horror fashion, it's more about setting up a creepy atmosphere with many of the horrors implied and without being so abstract that you lose the actual story.

As for the story, I thought it was well told, with an ending that will probably leave a lot of room for debate. I thought I knew exactly how the story would go, but the start of Act 3 caught me off guard. I wouldn't call it a mindblowing ending by any means but it was an interesting ride and for me a satisfying conclusion... at least my interpretation of what happened.

Would I watch this again? Yes. I am a fan of horror and this is one that was entertaining to watch with a great cast and great direction even if it's not necessarily groundbreaking. Other Lee Sun Kyun fans may not be in the mood to see him playing someone going through so much mental agony just yet, which I understand too.

Overall, I am glad I stayed up to watch "Sleep". It reminded me of classic horror movies like "Rosemary's Baby", with quite a few images that will keep me up a little longer. People looking for a horror film with epic twists, major jumpscares, or diabolical villains will likely be disappointed. I liked the concept of one's mind possibly being the real horror... or not. Or the horror of not having control over your actions, which legit freaks me out. Could there have been improvements? Sure. Could some parts of the story use some more depth and explanation? Sure. But as is, I think this movie still delivers.

***Thank you Lee Sun Kyun, for bringing such ease of talent to so many great roles. You will be missed. Sleep in Peace : (

Enjoyable Watch :)

This drama is cute and warm, idk how to say but everything is so sweet EXCEPT for their relationship.

Good Points:
1. Love the friendship between the classmates. ( It was cute even though some of them are annoying b*cthes )
2. Funny and awkward moments. ( I laughed a lot every time, and it was fun. But the legendary car accident scene gave me headache tho. )
3. Hee Gyung & Jun Woo's love story ( They have soo much CHEMISTRY and I shipped them more than the leads)

Bad Points:

1. Relationship ( As a team Seojun, I understand Suho is also a great choice but the main lead relationship was full of misunderstandings )
2. Main Storyline ( The story was pretty basic, and nothing else if there's no romance trope )
3. The message?? ( More of the another episode, the real purpose of it become hidden and hidden, when the story was too focus of the love-square plot, the drama tends to forget about the beauty standards and FL's insecurities )

Overall a nice drama and I enjoyed it but not a must watch. And if you're a Team Soejun like me, you'll even end up suffering.

Unpopular Opinion :>

Starting from Part-1 of DAS, I was impressively amazed by the unique storyline, because most "fantasy" is only time-travel or zombies. But this drama totally stood out from others, when I started this drama I loved how the performance of each actor were amazing, there are some idol actors and they did a wonderful job too. It is sometimes fun, sometimes sad and sometimes worried but the feeling I got while watching this is indescribable. Although most people hate Part 2 for the ending, I love it because of how different it is from others. As someone who is obsessed with sad endings, this is not just "sad" this portrays many life lessons. I liked their friendship, and the adventure but what I love the most is the tragedy of this drama, of course, it's acceptable for a high-school student who worked extremely hard their whole life for their future ahead, and when everything got ruined he might become crazy. This is a masterpiece, and I love how the last 4 survive and go on different paths, it is life, no matter how we were too close at some point, one day we all will be on different ways, have different futures, and a different endings. I didn't wrote any review for Part-1 cuz most people have the same opinion as me but I wrote for this because of my different thoughts. :)

FOR ME ITS SAD ENDING, WHY? THEY DID NOT END UP TOGETHER AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN SAID "I LOVE YOU" FACE TO FACE. I FEEL PITY FOR THE OTHER GUY BUT F HIM, HE'S THE REASON WHY THE MALE LEAD GOT HURT AND THEIR MARRIAGE WAS FORCED. ALSO THE LITTLE GIRL DID NOT DESERVE TO DIE, HIS ALMOST HUSBAND IS SH!T. I JUST REALLY FEEL SAD BUT THE MOVIE IS BEAUTIFUL. I JUST REALLY HOPE THEY END UP TOGETHER AND HAVE KIDS AND THE GISAENGS WILL FIND THEIR PERFECT PARTNER AND ALSO LIVE HAPPILY AND THOSE ARISTOCATS WILL BE REPLACED WITH BETTER PEOPLE, THE MOVIE IS REALLY OUTSTANDING I LITERALLY CRIED, LAUGH, AND GOT ANGRY. I LOVE ALL OF THEM, VERY VERY GOOD ACTING.

OUTSTANDING IN EVERY CATEGORY!!

Back in 2020, I watched The Untamed for the first time, it was great and interesting as a fan of both leads. But I missed a lot of the storyline because of the length ( I fast-forwarded it ). After some months, I kept seeing about the edits, plot-twists, and major spoilers, I was surprised, How did I miss those important facts?? I re-watched the drama for a few times and tried to understand that it was a MASTERPIECE. Not just a popular bromance drama but much more than that, the reality behind the fake masks of people, sibling bonds, friendships, brotherhood, and the judgemental society.

This was the first ever drama I rewatched, and it was absolutely worth it. The connections between plot to plot, the excitement of the thrilling journey, and the innocent-looking but actually the villains with the deepest secrets and darkest part. The acting was excellent, the storyline was impressive and the OSTs are masterpieces by themselves. And of course, I did enjoy the bromance between leads, and the portrayal of their tragic story was impressive.

Overall this drama is one of the very rare dramas without any cringe moments, useless characters or nonsense plot twist. Everything was perfectly amazing and will be in my heart forever :D

Decent time killer and nothing more.

I almost never watch movies and to my knowledge never a Japanese one plus I ended up only half watching cuz of how boring it was, so bear with me in my ramblings.
It was 1am and wanted to watch either an episode of K-Drama or a short movie, so I chose the movie (for other reasons too like Asano Atsuko), was it good? No lol. It wasn't the worst thing I've seen before it just didn't have a clear plot, too many leads and to quick of an introduction for a 100 minute film (like the 2 male romance interests seconds into the movie ALREADY get the ball moving then practically disappear like what) even though they seemed to only focus on one for the last 50 minutes. Instead of focusing on all 4 sisters and somewhat fleshing out their backstory (not really) it would have been much better if they focused on one sister for the entire film.
I can't really comment on the technical side of the movie because 1) I hardly watch movies and 2) the few movies I've seen from the era are James Bond blockbusters so its unfair, though I will say lighting is about average for 80s jdrama and same for the cinematography, sound had some oddities (Blu-ray seems to have been mastered with an audio delay lol) but not bad.
For the life of me I couldn't figure out what decade this took place in, I'd like to say the 70s-80s but idk cuz of the dated fashion seen and everything else screamed 60s. Also couldn't figure out what on earth the whole meaning of this movie was but I guess that's just because I'm trying to grade it like it's Interstellar.
Overall it's an ok time killer, if you know Japanese then just throw it on in the background while doing something else, it's ironically a more interesting watch that way.

Loved it.....

Well right after I finished watching the series I came here. Tinted with you is a classic historical korean bl that mostly talk about art history of the Joseon times. They did a great job potraiting each charater in this series. The cast is only 5 people in total and they did a great job with that.

Fisrt of all if we talk about the story plot it's too simple and cute and very common but I loved it because it's not too much or confusing. I wached the series because for a movie the plot is a little bit weal ( this is just my opinion about the movie ) The director did a great job while making this series by around only a handful of people. I really loved the aesthetics that they used in here.

However I literally loved it and for me it's a must watch. I'm recomending this to every bl fan it's not too long you can just complete this in a day. Also it's so cute and classy so people who love to watch classic ancient bl dramas then you can watch this one and It's a highly recomended. Anyways I loved it.

A Hit or a Miss?

When this drama was out, I couldn't patiently wait for the next episode, because of the plot twists and the story which made me nervous. The acting was great and the storyline is interesting with multiple theories but I was disappointed with the bad ending. About the characters, most are straight-up dumb, and their decisions are too childish, the only reason that this drama was exciting is because of the MAFIAs. Although this is not the best, I really enjoyed the feeling of having uncountable questions in my head, yeah, it did answer most of those questions in the end but it felt rushed.

And also, Where are their parents and family members?? How do Se-eun's parents manage to kidnap them for the stupid video game, only because of the reason they ignore their daughter?!?! Like seriously, they also are the same, they should've comforted and supported her before, not just blamed other kids who have their own life to care for.

Overall, this is not a bad drama, I enjoyed it through out the show even though I don't like the end. This lacks storyline but the performances were nice, a gud drama to watch if you love this kind of genre.
