Compelling Drama with Exceptional Acting

The story in this drama is super interesting—I watched a bunch of episodes and got totally into the plot. However, when it was getting towards the end, I took a break because I had to wait a long time between each episode. Recently, I decided to get back into it after seeing some cool scenes on TikTok that reignited my interest. I've got to say, the acting is not just good, it's seriously impressive. Zhou Ye, even though she's young, is an awesome actress, and her performance is top-notch. It's like, she really brings the characters to life. So, if you're looking for something worth your time, this drama is totally worth checking out!

This was poorly written and execute, yet I want more...

I dont even know how to bring my review into words. The story didnt make much sense on a logical aspect. Its like they just wrote anything and didnt think about the logistics. The acting wasnt that good on the main MAIN character parts but the rest of the mains acting was pretty solid. The story just felt like it was just doing and saying anything. Didnt even get to understand and learn about the characters story so i didnt even have to chance to care if Jun hee or Yoon seo died. Even the parents are written poorly. And this was really predictable.

"Your the first person to win the game" They were trying so hard to make the girl the main character omg like Jun hee ALSO won. And why the tf did the parent incorparate romance into the game, like why make scenes of Yoon seo staring at Jun hee WHY would they even do that made no sense. HOW would they even know Yoon seo like Jun hee.

Now. I see complete potential for a season 2, this whole season felt like a filler and like a pilot or trailer for what big to actually come. They shouldnt even consider this a season tbh lol. I felt like it would have been more entertaining if the mains knew the circumstances they were really in.

I strangely want more. Not because its a clifhanger either, this could have ended just like that and id still look forward to a season 2.

Fun snack show!! but don't use your brain too much or it'll frustrate you

I enjoy this show as I binge watched it. If I was watching it weekly then surely rated this lower than what I have. But what I can say clearly is that I had a fun time while watching w/o using my brains.... they made sure to pick up my adrenaline & kept me on my toes. Cuz in many shows I don't even get excited or feel anything throughout the whole show.

First off all.... the story..... it was good, like the concept of it was interesting but the point is how they should've executed this. Rather than keeping the revenge of parents through simulation all to the last episode, they could've done something else with the whole mafia game concept.

Like that mafia game concept is so brilliant, I love it, but other than that some things seem weird & out of place. Like how the ghost appeared in the vent & many etc...etc.. plot holes.
I'm dissapointed that they didn't use this interesting concept for a full fledged show of either 10 or 12 episodes of 1 hour & gave characters more depth to them & left less of those plot holes.

The characters where not so well written but this show had that factor due to its packed & new type of storyline that intruiged me.

Acting was nice... nothing too grand but good. But that scene in pool where FL pulls ML out of pool after after he was presumed to be dead was probably the best chemistry scene they had throughout the show.

The BGM was not so much there but at the crazy scenes, it did help with the excitement or shock of the scene. This has that fever dream like story aspect to it lol.

Anything,everything all at once

Survival game....Ghost....Sci-fi....Grotesque thriller....teen....revenge

And at last.... I don't think this show has much rewatching value as the story's end gets weird for me & out of place & ruins the vibe I associated with this show in it's earlier episodes.

Well that's all for my personal opinion. Gamsahamnida..nnn..yo ~

Nothing Really Happens

It was cute for a moment, but only a moment. The entire series felt padded and fluffed out for no real good reason. Every scene with the side couple was of just them crying over the same thing again and again. And even Pop and Oat not really developing their relationship past Pop realizing he MIGHT have feelings for Oat was so infuriating. Overall it felt as if all of the storylines could have been solved/finished well within the 20 episodes given. Instead, to see said plotlines conclude we have to watch the sequel series Final Call. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the dramatic elements of the show while I was watching but ended up totally skipping through the side couples plot and wanting Pop and Oat's to rush along already. I most definitely won't be rewatching this again, or the second season/series for that matter. So unless you're REALLY in the mood for a goofy/light-hearted toned BL series, I'd skip. Seeing as there's way more BL that do far greater and better with far less time than this series.

Zhao Liying's Badass Return

Anticipation peaked as I awaited this series, primarily driven by the desire to witness the badass actress from 'Princess Agents' in action again. Needless to say, Zhao Liying did not disappoint – her performance was nothing short of amazing. Wang Yibo, despite having less experience compared to ZLY, held his own as a decent actor. I've heard praises for his series 'The Untamed,' though I haven't seen it yet, so I'll reserve my judgment on that.

Overall, the series lived up to expectations, but if I'm being honest, I found myself yearning for a more ruthless Zhao Liying. Maybe it's just my personal preference, but her fierceness adds a unique flavor that I can't get enough of. Here's to hoping for more of that in future projects!

A Chaebol Heiress' Unpredictable Journey

I stumbled upon this gem while searching for a drama featuring a female chaebol. Tired of the cliché 'rich boy, poor girl' narratives where the male lead dominates, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this series. Having followed the actress from her previous works, witnessing her portray a badass, rich heiress was truly a delight.

What sets this drama apart is not just the character's attitude but the brilliant plot twists that no one could have predicted. It's the kind of series that keeps you hooked with its unpredictability and leaves you hitting the rewind button multiple times. The real shine here is in the unexpected narrative turns. Here's to breaking stereotypes and enjoying a binge-worthy series that defies expectations!

Well....

The story is great and the cast is also did a great job. 2nd season is more emotional based that's a good point and the other point is it's all about fighting with monsters to survive. About the cast, there are like too much people and it feels a little bit messy somehow. Way more different than the 1st season.

In the previous sason people complained that the military isn't doing their job but in this season the story is all about military, monsters and survival. I must say that the ending was unexpected and I really loved Song Kang's acting here. About the others their skills are also developed alot than the previous season even the editing are also way more realistic than the previous season. Comparing this to the 1st season something's off in this and I still can't figure it out. At some point I feel like the variety of the monsters here is way too much because it's never ending. One after another so when we give a thought about it it's like they're repeating the same thing over and over. Anyways overall I like this.

Hope everything will end better. There will be a season 3 for this and I'm hopefully waiting for it.

A Love Letter to Jang Man Wol's Badassery

I shamelessly dove into this series because of IU – a loyal fan here! Little did I know I was signing up for a rollercoaster of awesomeness, with IU's character, Jang Man Wol, leading the pack as the ultimate 'I should look pretty even if I go broke!' queen. It's like IU went from sweet to 'Hello, I'm here to slay, darling!' for the first time, and boy, did she own it!

Jang Man Wol isn't just a character; she's a whole mood, a fierce fashion icon with an attitude to match. I've lost count of the times I've rewatched this show – blame it on Jang Man Wol's charisma and those killer outfits. Seriously, she's got me thinking, 'Can I look this good while conquering life's chaos?'

IU, take a bow! This series isn't just a fan's binge; it's a witty testament to IU's acting chops and the sassy brilliance of Jang Man Wol's character. So, excuse me while I go rewatch for the umpteenth time – because why settle for anything less than badass and beautiful?

Well-Written Characters, But When's the Sequel?!

Though I watched this drama quite some time ago, I've found myself rewatching it repeatedly, seeking the stress-free escape it provides from the typical damsel-in-distress female leads. This drama stands out as top-notch, with well-written characters, including the intriguing evil princes. However, the one aspect that left me hanging was the open ending. I can't help but wonder when they'll finally drop the second season. And, okay, call me sentimental, but I secretly wish the male lead would make a triumphant return – a resurrection wouldn't hurt, right?

The Enraging Conclusion of Duty after school Part 2

I never thought I would find myself writing a review, but I just have to get this off my chest – the ending was absolutely infuriating! After witnessing the promising character development of each individual, it felt like a complete betrayal to have them all meet their demise at the hands of a psycho obsessed with CSAT. Part 1 started off so well; I'm left wondering why the writers decided to take such a dark turn. In the novel, I heard that many students survived, yet in the series, only four managed to make it out alive. While I'm relieved that my two favorite characters survived, it was completely unexpected and left me with mixed emotions. Despite my frustration with the ending, I must admit it was still a good watch overall.

How I Found Unexpected Delight in Alien Apocalypse

I thoroughly enjoyed the series! Despite not typically being a fan of alien invasion themes, I was drawn to it because of its resemblance to 'All of Us Are Dead,' and I didn't regret my decision. The execution of the storyline was impressive, and even though the main characters are students, their disorientation added to the entertainment value. My favorite character has to be 'Na RA'—she's like the Namra version in 'All of Us Are Dead': cool, mysterious, and incredibly capable, perhaps even more so than the boys. I appreciate the chemistry between Kimchi and her, although I understand it's not the main focus of the story. I hope they don't meet a tragic end. Given the apocalyptic alien theme, deaths are inevitable, and I was genuinely shocked when our team leader died in the ending. Overall, it was a fantastic series, and I'm hoping that Part 2 will deliver the same level of excitement!

Apocalyptic Brilliance

This zombie apocalypse series ranks among my favorites, with each episode delivering intense excitement. While some criticize the characters for not making sound decisions in zombie encounters, I consider their actions within the context of being students. My standout character is Namra, the brainy president, who initially intrigued me with her mysterious and cold demeanor. When she transformed into a hambie, she became even more captivating.

There's debate about her perceived selfishness in not informing others about Nayeon infecting Gyeong Soo in a particular episode. However, I argue that this aligns with her character. Frankly, she's the unsung hero of the series, as the survival of other characters, including Onjo, hinges on her actions. The pivotal moment of preventing a missile strike on their school? That was all her. Yet, she doesn't receive enough credit, with people fixating on a single perceived mistake in her actions. She's the true MVP of the series. In summary, this stands out as one of my all-time favorite shows

Cool thriller but disappointing ending

I enjoy watching highschoolers in thrillers because its fun to see how they think and act as i am an highschooler too. This drama started on well it had surprising element. You wouldn't know who would be next. But by the end i felt it was rushed.

The drama had potential but it lacked in many places except the acting. I think actors did a great job with what they were given.

The ending: They should have shown more of seun, literally show like 20 secs of her, for us to truly feel what she went through. The way jungwon killed herself it indicated that seun wanted the games to come to an end. But the parents still kept it going bruh? They didnt know how to end the show so they just showed the game is still on. Otherwise they would have to show the students going back to their lives.
I don't care about the bullies being punished but the parents literally punished some innocent students and HER BEST FRIEND just for not knowing what she went through. It didn't make sense.

Overall, It's a okay one time watch.

I think this was short and sweet

I think this was short and sweet

Just like the title I think this was a very cute BL. Nice to watch. And it had my favorite troupes in it.

Three things:
1. Yamato's hot asffffff
2. I love the kissing scene in the nurse's office. So traditional and romantic
3. Yamato's hot as fuck

I also liked the guy who was playing matchmaker hardcore. The whole time he was trying to bring those two togetherrrrr. I need a person like that in my life omg.

I would definitely rewatch this whenever I am free

Overall

Now it may seem like I just put 10/10 for the hell of it but I genuinely believe that this drama is one of my favorites this year.

It was so well written and so well thought out, except for the part that’s making people think this show has no critical thinking skills. Everything else is well thought out. Like how in one of the earlier episode when people went on a hike to see what the limits were. There was a person with a camera recording and he saw people so they were all shouting trying to get their attention. But looking back at their footage they noticed how the birds and the people never moved even though the students were very much screaming for help. That scene should have made all of us realize that this was some sort of game game like a simulation. Which we find out in the very last episode in the final minutes.

As for the acting I loved Kim Wooseok as Joonhee he was very protective to Yoonseo played by Lee Jaein. I hate the fact that I’m the end the only sort of closure we got of that relationship was when Yoonseo confessed her feelings for Joonhee after she thought he died. I liked the dynamic of all of the characters and how the interacted together. Like the big guy with glasses how he felt genuine betrayal after his friend voted for him since he had a stab wound on his stomach. I loved how we almost got a redemption arc out of Kyunghon but was then thrown anyway in the very same episode. I also loved the fake that they got Jin Dabeom to be a sudden mafia. Like I was actually shocked when it turned out to be him. After he killed Kyunghon I instantly hated him I know Kyunghon bullied Dabeom but still I can hate him if I want to.

What I’m trying to say is that I love this drama very much. This is the very first time I’m writing a review for a drama and that’s mainly because I read some other peoples review and some of them forgot about the little part that should have been obvious that it was a simulation. But I guess that flew over everyone else’s heads.

I just really really hope that this drama gets a second season because I want to know what will happen since it seems like Yoonseo remembers what happened when she woke up in the real world. I also want to see however else’s dynamic is going to change now that there’s been a little change. I also want to see if there goings to be any interactions between Yoonseo and Joonhee. Anyway if you read this thanks for putting up with this and understanding.

I hope you all have a great day and have an amazing Christmas!!!
