I love the cast here, and none disappointed me in any way, but I didn't get what the movie is all about. The ending was worst, since I had no clue what each's motivation was. Actually the only one I understood Matsuda Ryuhei character's, he made sense.
I liked your review I enjoyed most of it (except for the last paragraph). IMO it gives away how things will end…
lol yup I'm the other extreme (too insensitive to spoilers... if others don't spoil it for me I might spoil it for myself XD) In any case I also like it better this way it expresses better what I was trying to say. Most of my reviews I write them in the middle of the night half asleep (that's when I'm inspired :P) so they always need editing later
I agree we are all guilty of that, but sometimes some viewers overdo it. Like when I was watching Ode to Joy on Viki. I generally enjoy seeing what people think of certain scenes on the spot, but many times I found myself having to just turn off the comments for this drama. They just go on insulting characters because they have flaws and aren't perfect, and they hate on somebody for being "old" and make everything he said to be creepy while the good looking guys get a free pass for doing worst. It takes out the enjoyment of seeing how these flawed characters go about their day and their lives.
As for me I have seen people in RL do the same mistakes over and over and never actually grow, and because I know that's reality I get impatient when I see it in dramas. I always know it's my issue but I can't help complain. It's like seeing my friend's life going on in drama while I'm trying to escape it because I'm just sick and tired of the RL drama.

There are a number of titles I'd like to add to my list and hopefully get to watch in the near future, but Gimme Heaven I couldn't wait finishing reading the article I had to add it RIGHT AWAY! Seem like my type of movie and I'M totally in the book right now XD Can't wait to get hope after work and look it up. I'm supposed to meet up with my friend tonight but now I hope she cancels :P
So happy you gave so much love to Kanbei. I may be bias but it is still my fave taiga right now! And Eguchi Yosuke is a big reason. Wow if he isn't the most AMAZING Oda Nobunaga you can meet! I can guarantee anyone they won't find anyone who can beat that perfomance when it comes to that complicated historical figure! And the rest of the cast did an amazing job as well ;)
And yeah he was the definition of cool in the Rurouni Kenshin trilogy ;) I need to worry and watch White Tower and Roosevealt Game already! Tobosha seems intriguing I might try that one first :P

I can't seem to evaluate my enjoyment of this movie, but one thing is for sure, as much as the story is typical, the characters and setting felt authentic.
By chance I watched Crouching Tiger for the first time yesterday and watched this today, and though I see the reference you mention for me this movie can stand well on its own.
Well this was a decent mystery. In the beginning I thought it was obvious, but half way through I realized I was like Jon Snow :P I knew Nothing. Well... until it turned out I did, but still. It goes to show the direction was well done to put us in shoes of the heroine, being lost with all the information, and not knowing who to trust.
The ending though, was just sappy and boring :P Still worth the watch and a good change of pace ;)
So I didn't wait and dived into it. Enjoyable overall. The tone of the movie is so weird, kinda hippy-ish, which is contradicting considering that we're talking about killers. That choice of play acted during the movie was gold, kinda emphasizing on overacting and cheesy dialog XD
Despite all that I can (sorta) understand our 4 killers and how they treat their "job" with true professionalism, and see it as a necessity (as twisted as it may sound). The one I couldn't understand is the cop, but he also amused me the most.
GREAAAAATTT! He totally deserves a stalker guide I just haven't watched enough of him to do one so thank you so much :D I need to watch more of his stuff! I always considered him good looking though. "but the charisma of this dude is overflowing" That is so true!! Even when the show isn't much, he's always great to watch.
I remember wanting to watch Tegami years ago but couldn't find the english subs. I guess I'll look again. I'll definitely watch Densha Otoko soon!
What's amazing about him is he appears in dramas like Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro. No one can beat his comedic timing :P I watched Crows zero many years ago, but like you I was rooting for Serizawa the whole time, even when I was more familiar with Oguri Shun as an actor then :P
MILOCRORZE - A Love Story is such a weird movie. I didn't even know what to rate it, however, it's like you say, everyone will agree how fantastic an actor Yamada is here! magnificent performance!
And like you I do worry about him only taking supporting roles. I mean to take supporting roles isn't a bad thing, it shows you're a mature actor and not one crazy for attention, so I wouldn't worry if it balanced out with leading roles, but what if his star went down for other flower boys and idols to take the lead roles? I hope not. he's still young and has much to offer.

I'm at episode 26 so might not be as up to date but as for Dr Zhao he's no angel why participate in Xiaoxiao's bullying of Fan Jie? (the concert scene when he sent the picture) In that sense Guanguan would be too good for him. Well I'm really loving her development so I want for her someone better than senior lin, I really don't like that guy!
I really love Fan jie but you are right she is totally wrong about her classmate. I really want a happy ending for her, she has suffered enough as it is!
As for andi and Qidian nothing to add totally agree ;) I just root for Lao Tan for Bias reasons but I'm really enjoying the progress of these too ;)

I'm afraid I have to agree. Up to episode 22 I really loved her and found everything she did cute and fun. As of episode 23 and as it escalates I can't stand her anymore. I think I've become too protective of Fan Sheng Mei ♥
I suddenly felt that I miss the drama and visited this page and ended reading such a brilliant review! It brought back so many emotions in me! This drama is as great intellectually as emotionally, which makes it stick in the mind, specially with the great performances we had.
