As I understood in the end the main girl kills the main guy. Well similarly in the Korean one- they both die.…
I just finished this drama. It had been on my list for a while so I wanted to watch it before the Korean one. And I can tell you it was excellent. It was made in 2002 so some things are a bit dated but the main leads have a lot of chemistry. It is a very Japanese drama. From what I've read in the comments, the characters might not be as likable as their Korean counterparts. I haven't watched the Korean one yet so I don't know if the main character's reasoning were similar. In this drama, Yuko killed Ryo because she was told by Kotoko (a policewoman at her brother's precinct) that Ryo had only gotten close to her to get revenge for her brother, Kanzo, killing his father. She basically made it seem like Ryo planned to kill her brother. Kotoko didn't tell Yuko that Ryo was actually her brother because she had promised Kanzo that she would never reveal the truth. She had also misunderstood Kanzo's and Ryo's complicated relationship and assumed Ryo wanted revenge. When Ryo sent his friend to bring Kanzo to his hideout, Yuko cam e instead and killed him thinking that he had been trying to lure Kanzo there to kill him. Yuko reads the letter that he was going to give to Kanzo and finds out that he actually loved her, that they are siblings and that he was thankful to Kanzo for raising her. Then she kills herself.

I feel like you're really over simplify his role in the drama. Yeah he was a supporting character but to liken him to grass essentially a bit part status is a bit much. Again, I haven't seen him in anything else and to me, based off what I have seen, I believe he is a good actor. An actor can be good in one drama and maybe not so good in another drama. And as I've said numerous times I haven't seen him in anything else, so I'm going to judge him fairly when I watch him in this. Let's agree to disagree.

Firstly, I wouldn't say he was completely stereotypical as autism (I'm going to say autism and not the "r" word) is a spectrum. Having a brother who is autistic and meeting different people on different ends of the spectrum, I would say that the character he portrayed can be seen in real life. Also I think acting in general is pretty hard, and that it's especially hard playing someone with a disability, be that mental or physical. You may have thought those quirks weren't much, but I still thought it took a lot effort. For that, I'm going to give him his props. Secondly, I haven't seen him in anything since, so I'm going to watch this with a fresh pair of eyes and see how good he is.

I really loved Luther. It was a really dark, smart and edgy tv show. However, I understand that this is a remake with an SK bent so I will give it a chance. Also I think Baro is a pretty good actor. He was really good in God's Gift - 14 Days. I agree with you on people automatically thinking idols can't act.

should i watch the seasons 1 to 4 to understand this one?
I would highly recommend watching the other seasons. Even though there are different cases per episode, you won't really get the relationship between the characters or the beginning of this season without watching the other seasons. Plus all of the other seasons are really good.

have you ever cried for nearly a whole episode? well...i do... please prepare yourself a pack of tissues.
Episode 3 should of came with a warning sign. The bathroom scene at the end messed me up! I couldn't see through my glasses because they were so foggy from crying. Then when I thought I had recovered, episode 4 slayed me. Such beautiful writing and acting by everyone.

She was really good as a kid in the movie Meet Mr. Daddy. She was most recently in the drama Solomon's Perjury (2016) and the movie A Wonderful Nightmare (2015). She was really good in both!

Tumbling is one of my favorite ever! Everyone needs to watch it.
It's such a good show! At first, I thought I would be bored because I didn't know much about Tumbling, but the show is so much more than that. Really a great show about friendship, loyalty and perseverance.

Right! Seeing Yuzo's body gave him that extra strength he needed to take them on. That's why he was desperately trying to take them as many out as he could before he died.

Title Mr. Sunshine Spoiler
'Til the end Gu Dong Mae loves Ae-Sin. I thought in his death scene, he will see or hope Hina waiting for him.,…
Me too! I thought for sure he would think of Hina but he has always been consistent with his love for Ae-Shin. Hina knew it too and that's why she didn't tell him she was in love with him until she was on her deathbed. He loved Hina but as a best friend. The first time we saw him cry in the show is when she died. Also Hina did tell Dong Mae that she wouldn't be waiting for him in the afterlife in the hopes that he would live a long time.

Title Mr. Sunshine Spoiler
I forgot to mention this in my earlier comment but can we talk about how loyal Yuzo was to Dong Mae.? Not only was he his second, but really his best friend. They killed him because he went to find Dong Mae in Japan because he knew Dong Mae going back there meant certain death. All of the samurai who were under Dong Mae were extremely loyal to him. They followed him to the end quite literally as you can see all of his fallen comrades walking behind him when he was headed to the afterlife.

Title Mr. Sunshine Spoiler
I’ve been holding back an explosion of tears because I was watching this with my mother, but my heart is aching…
I was expecting that sort of ending given the time period and political climate but I was still so heartbroken. Since the first episode I knew Dong Mae's fate was sealed since usually when you live by the sword, you die by the sword. Foolishly though, I thought maybe Yang hwa, Hui Seong and Eugene could escape it. By the time Hui Seong started to write the newspaper, I figured out that since this is a war with no conclusion for another 35 years, no one will probably be able to make it out alive. All of the characters were so beautifully written. Everyone was so complex, with their own stories and motives. They were all very human. I'm going to miss this drama. I fell in love with all of the main characters. I especially loved the friendship between Dong Mae, Hui Seong and Eugene. Yang hwa's friendship with Dong Mae was also really beautiful. I cried buckets when she admitted she was in love with him! I'm really going to miss this drama!

There is some violence against woman in the film. There is also scene at the end that borders sexual assault since he kind of jumps on the main character. There are a couple of sex scenes as well.

Title In Between Seasons Spoiler
What happen in the end? I'm confuse.
It was an open ending but it felt real and hopeful to me. Young Joon is still dealing with the guilt he felt from surviving the accident relatively unscathed and the emotions that came with taking care of Soo Hyun and knowing that he might never wake up. In between the months of Soo Hyun's accident and him awaking from the coma, their relationship was found out by Soo Hyun's mother, Young Joon's father who he had a complicated relationship with died, he fell out with his brother over his sexuality and he even attempted suicide. Not to mention the prostitution he did to raise money to find out where Soo Hyun had been moved to. Then just when he had decided to try and move on Soo Hyun woke up. He endured a lot which drove a wedge between him and Soo Hyun as it's something Soo Hyun can't relate to. Soo Hyun is exactly the same as he was before the accident but Young Joon has changed a lot. In fact, you could argue that Young Joon is closer to Mi Kyung now than Soo Hyun because of the shared trauma they went through while taking care of Soo Hyun and having to wait for Mi Kyung's to accept and process Soo Hyun's an Young Joon's relationship. Despite all of that though, I found the ending hopeful because Young Joon opened up to Soo Hyun and told him the truth and they can now start their relationship a new without having to hide who they are. From the scene at the end where they are drinking beer, it is clear that the one who was pulling away was Young Joon and not Soo Hyun. The fact that he was honest with him about not being ok, means that they will be able to rebuild their relationship.
