exactly. Imagine if it was a dude smacking girl's face around until her nose bleeds coz she said her boyfriends name in sleep. This scene bothered me soooo bad. More than the high schooler kiss tbh.

I mean, can we blame them? The director said it will be family friendly drama for all ages. But first ep had a dude drawing naked ladies and getting all excited about it.
If they didn't promote the show the way they did, there would be far less complaining going on.

as I said, my main problem is the source material and the fact this drama even exists. I am questioning what was in the mind of the person who read that first chapter and thought: yes this will make of a good drama. By making this drama they are promoting the webtoon. The webtoon is gross. It's hard for me to support a project that was based on it.

Same. I was a big fan of JCW back in the days, now I'm kind of indifferent since his recent projects were not that great, for sure i am not a hater. BUT I am a huge fan of KYJ. Still dislike this one, and after reading first chapter of the webtoon, I'm questioning the existence of it even more lol

it's only available in Korean tho. and I only read first chapter coz I was curious how they dealt with the high school kiss scene and overall the "high school" timing in it (since 2nd chapter in already the present times). But with what I saw in chapter 1... yeah. It's trash.

I have no problem with age gap. I enjoy age gaps if done well. One of my favorite kdrama couples is from Gentleman's Dignity, and they had HUGE age gap. I have a problem with the fact she was in high school when it happened. My biggest problem tho is the fact this drama even exist when the source material is just trash ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and by making this drama they are promoting the webtoon too (whenever they like it or not) and I do not understand why anyone would want to have their name associated with it.

It's okay to defend the show and have a discussion around it but bringing GoT as a comparison? one is historical fantasy show set in an universe where rape, torture and killing is a norm, the other is a modern rom-com. One was promoted as a violent and controversial show in terms of topics in it, the other was promoted as a family friendly one. the comparison was a miss for me.

Yes and no. We don't really know the age of Dae Hyun right? In Korea it had so much backlash because of the "minor (high schooler) kissing an adult who was total stranger to her" scene (as far as I know Korean legal age is 19 international, and she was 18 by international age... so she was minor. I might be wrong since the age system in Korea still confuses me, so if I am wrong, would appreciate someone correcting me lol).
Edit: the legal age is 19 international, and 18 korean. So she was not a minor in the show.

when they dropped the "not using the full brain" bullshit I wanted to throw my laptop out of window. This just annoyed me and I should not enjoy the m movie anymore lol

He was good? Lee Chang ain't exactly a complex character lol I was far more interested in Young Shin and for me Kim Sung Gyu was the start of it, even tho he had less scenes.

The zombies were one of the best parts. First ep had one scene that got me like: wow. and had to pause.
The plot is REALLY simple tho. Legit just fight for the crown lol
