It WAS great.
I started off really good, as in good. The casts and the story I mean every was perfect. Then as more episodes were release it got too boring not only this drama has a lot of episodes, but it has becoming tooooo draggy. The story is a family genre drama which is very realistic I liked it especially with every sister having their love team which also contributes greatly to the show but then since it has a lot of episodes, the couples just cant get together already.. the casting was great really, having them all in a show. I wouldn’t dare to watch it again so my rewatch value is low :( but overall, i had fun :)Was this review helpful to you?
Story:
I love the approach that this series is taking. This is probably one of the best written BL stories I have ever seen. The sweet moments are subtle but mind-blowing, and unlike most BL series, they are not overpowering the story itself. I love how accepting Pete's mother is, something quite rare in BL series. I love how Ae doesn't care about Pete being gay, and he said some deep and nice stuff throughout the first episode. I also love the comedic moments, and how subtle future conflicts in the series are introduced. Basically what I'm trying to say is how perfect the first episode is. I can't find anything wrong about it. Highlight moment so far is Pete coming out to his mother.
Acting/Cast:
One little problem I noticed is how few the amount of female characters. I saw like 3 in the opening credits. I wouldn't mind a few more female supporting actresses. I do hope that the writers do not go into the classic BL conflict where a female character causes a rift between a BL couple. As for the choice of actors, BEST CAST ever. I haven't seen most of the actors in other series (except for Earth). I always love series with newbie cast. Best part about this is how great their acting capabilities are. Pete delivered the rare dramatic emotion found in BL series. Ae definitely kills the "bodyguard" performance. And Pond's comical acting is perfect to balance the small bit of seriousness in the story.
Music:
Best background I've heard so far in a Thai series (both straight and BL). The piano piece played during Pete's coming out moment is PERFECT! I love how there's no pop cheesy song playing in the background.
Rewatch value:
I'm about to rewatch the first episode!
Overall:
This series is showing a lot of potential to be one of, if not, the greatest BL series ever. I hope that this continues for the next episodes. This series is like a breath of fresh air. Most BLs nowadays are more focused on selling the couples' chemistry rather than the story. The only other series I've seen that is not your classic BL is the first SOTUS and Project S Spike.

Storyline is eh
I gave this drama a go bc of the ‘high’ ratings…but find the storyline lacking and the leads’ chemistry unconvincing. The leads look super young despite the age gap the characters portrayed. They could play high school kids vs young professionals. Is China really lacking quality actors/actress that anyone could play leads? The casting is not suiting at all.
Can’t go through with it after ep 3. I really tried but the drama is just too hard to enjoy. I can’t find anything likable for this drama.

Love it watch it
Oh my god… this drama is so good. I hated all the top airing k dramas now and I thought we will only get super cliche horrible dramas with repetitive stories, A List actor and an actress with a super branded wardrobe. God how much I hate those type of dramas. It’s almost like factory produced, AI generated devoid of any creativity. Then along came this drama and my faith in k dramaland has been restored. It’s so squeal worthy. The female lead is so so so lovable. She was disabled and her life has been a struggle. It’s such a heart felt message when she is the knight in the rusty armour … she is the one who is fighting for saving the life of someone. This is so positive for all disabled people and people who struggle with life.
The twists and turns are amazing like simply AMAZING.
Who should watch it - people who love slice of life, people who believe in working through despite all odds, people who like twists and turns and finally all those folks who loved the last twilight (I am one of them).
Watch it please….

different from any typical costume drama
entertaining , good storyline, great acting, great cast, as the headline different from any typical costume drama. must watch. Since its a continuation of part 1 we know how this story will move on ,here in this ling buyi will take his revenge and especially at that time when he was at the peak of his relationship with cheng shaosheng. ling buyi left everything behind for his revenge as he was waiting for more than 10 years and he has shifted everything in the direction he wants everyone was in his mind he was like the narrow slit of the coin .cheng shaosheng was not part of ling buyi's plan .she was the only hope and a ray of light in the darkness of his past.
only she was capable of moving beside him.

3rd episode only, and i want to drop it
This is not my cup of tea. The FL portrayed as the cool girl treats her friends so badly .... the ML blames her for bullying and we guess it is a misunderstanding ... but the way she treats her friend and talks to others actually are a form of bullying.Drama talks about strict diet for athletes in a way too light way and im tired of chinese dramas calling the overweight guy "fatty" :(
Too many stereotypes that make me tick in this drama. I'll continue to watch 1 or 2 episodes, if storyline does not chane, i will drop it for sure.

The best
A very good script. I've read a book before, which itself is a ready-made script. Most of the scenes require great ZL and CH acting skills because the scenes are shot close-up and quite intimate. note that in each episode not much happens, the scenes are long and based mainly on dialogues between the main characters. This is a movie about how people should talk to each other. A beautiful story about growing up and maturing feelings - from youthful infatuation to true, difficult love.I like the acting of the actors. on their faces you can see all the emotions that are tormenting them, and their minimalistic gestures are very eloquent. And the internal dialogues of both ZL and CH are quite new. in other dramas you can also meet, but not as often and not as funny. Her thoughts are great. I recommend to everyone

Weariness
A bit tiring and bland, the most righteous one was the villain/negative character in this story. The "good guys" were the actual crooked and immoral ones. This series was all about perspective and showcasing. Something feels missing throughout the drama even though they've such a nice cast set-up and yet something feels off or lopsided for some reason.

Trash TV at its worst
OK y'all, let's cut to the chase, shall we?This show is trash. And I mean it, real trash. Utter trash. I'd say "pure trash" but "pure" ain't the kind of adjective one can in all fairness use to describe this, sorry.
I know there are millions of people who'll disagree, what can I say, good for them, but in my review I can only share *my* opinion, so bear with it. If you adored the original show and think that Kitano Takeshi's a freaking genious, by all means, watch this, you're gonna love it.
But if you, instead, always considered the original 80's show a disgrace only useful to those "gaijin" who *love* to diss Japan day in and day out ('cause, hey, "them Japs are all weirdos" as this show "showed") and if you think that the only real weirdo is Kitano (hey, I dunno him personally, he might be the best guy in the world....but in my book, if you look like you're demented, speak like you're demented, behave like you're demented and produce stuff that seems like it's been written by someone who's demented, well...chances are you might be demented, sorry)...well, in that case steer clear of this and watch something less trashy. "Sasuke", for example.

Chinese copying everything as usual lol
"There are allegations and suspicions that the Chinese drama 'Delicacies Destiny' has plagiarized the renowned Korean drama 'Jewel in the Palace' also known as 'Dae Jang Geum.' Amid these allegations of plagiarism, the controversy is growing as it was revealed that the Chinese drama is being streamed all over the world except for Korea."Typical Chinese Drama Copying Everything and Stealing Other Culture LOL.
Hope they make their own drama out of their brains!
Hope you guys have fun watching it!

A good one with touch of a real life feeling
I liked it. It was a story of a couple getting together and how their relationship grows. There was less drama and unrealistic plots, it was more like what could happen in real life and how people feel things for real. Of course this series had its own share of not so great scenes so it wasn't perfect but enjoyable enough. The plot handled different type of issues that were mostly solved within one episode. And most importantly the couples talked about issue not just being a drama qeen and being several episodes apart just because of some idiotic misunderstanding that could have been solved in seconds if they only have talked each other.
If you like more drama and anxiety this may not be your favorite but for others it's a nice and relaxing series to watch.

Another Korean Drama Ruined By It's Ending
I was pretty much excited about another PMY drama plus I didn't mind the handsome leading men. The drama's whole premise was unique, adding to its charm. Watching episode by episode, I was praying a hail mary hoping that the writers dared not to ruin the ending. Much to my disappointment, the drama left me with this; "...so that was it????"But then again, looking at the bright side, the drama has its overall appeal. So if you are looking for something to watch with no urgency or expectations...watch Love in Contract.

Great chemistry not so good plot
Plot: Cliché plot of vague childhood memories and unnecessary family drama at the end. However, the lines/messages along with it were meaningful. Forgiveness and gratefulness came hand in hand. Also, healthy fangirling is about having your own goals/ambitions while creating time for your own personal happiness. Your life shouldn’t revolve around your favorite idol/s only. They should be an inspiration not an obsession.Acting: Good acting but not spectacular. I think Eun-gi’s character wasn’t convincing. Either a miscast or poor acting. The rest of the actors were okay but not memorable.
Music: Catchy songs & cute sound effects.
Rewatch value: One’s smiles & kissing scenes of main leads. They have one of those electrifying chemistry on screen. The sexual tension between them was just hot.
Overall: However, good chemistry between the leads wasn’t enough to save this drama but at least, it was less boring. Would have been better without the last two episodes. Misunderstanding and miscommunication are my pet peeves especially if not executed well, that’s why I struggled with the first few episodes. I would give this at least a ‘5’ for effort and a maximum of 6 for the main lead’s passionate relationship.
I do agree that when you fill your room with the things you love, your life will become happier. Surround yourself that makes you smile and it will make your day and night easier and brighter.
Simple lesson with a sprinkle of art and hopefully, audience would learn to take a step back, savor what’s in front of them, and think differently with a positive attitude. Life is art and how you see art is how you see your life.
