Heart-warming!

As another great episode of Maou unfolds, I can feel this show has more and more hold over me. Ohno really did do a great job on this. Sending a tarot card to Shiori, leads to the story getting a unexpected twist to it as Shiori ends up confessing some of her greatest fears and thoughts to Ryo. A Heartwarming scene in which seems to have woken up some feelings for Ryo..

Due to the passing of his friend being kicked out as a police officer of the case so important to him being solved. He is allowed to continue only after Shiori ends up getting the tarrotcard in which he believes may mean she is the next target.

Impressions more than a review !!!!! Spoilers if you have not seen the episode

Well, I rated it 9.5, because it was a good episode, though the trick was a little bit too complicated. Because the ending was unexpected too, or, should I say, not what I was hoping. Because some feelings were slightly shown, even if not as much as wanted (as I wanted). and maybe because it was not really an ending...

Nevertheless, the final part makes me feel uneasy : I really don't know what to think about that Enomoto-san.

And maybe that's why I'm feeling bitter. I should say betrayed. As a viewer, I felt betrayed. As a big fan of the Aoto-Enomoto couple, I felt betrayed.

I first saw it unsubbed, and I was totally shocked by the final twist (I remember I didn't sleep well that night). I loved the nice, gentle, clumsy Enomoto-san. I was happy that such a strange character were the main one in a drama. And that ending made it blow away. I just felt that Enomoto betrayed the tenderness Aoto-san had for him, and I don't like that. Everything has been thrown back into doubt by the ending. I just feel that I couldn't watch the first episodes anymore without wondering : were there lies, all the things he has said, all the care he has shown for her? Maybe I wanted to see romance where there was only friendship, but I really found it refreshing, such a special bond between those two characters.

But,thanks to the subs, it seems to me that the face to face between Enomoto and Shiina also gives us some kind of hints. I really enjoyed the part when Enomoto gives his own point of view of his situation. So now I'm wondering : does Enomoto feel exactly the same as Shiina? what is he aiming at, behind the glass (or who???)? That's what I found so good in this drama : do all the things that we can see, that we can guess, are really the truth? Will Enomoto-san be able to unlock his own locked room?

THIS CANNOT BE AN ENDING !!!

No No No

Oh no no no no no, they just can't leave the dogs behind like that. It was SO predictable that something like this was bound to happen. Argh. I just hope they'll get them back save. And just go back to Japan and don't have the second expedition staying over because I don't want them to be left alone with the dogs.

Now we saw a human and a dog giving birth in this drama by the way. The puppies are so cute. And the babies too.

This was fun

Shao Feng asks Cherrie (I know, still can't remember her name), to pretend to be his cousin but before that she's soo freaking ridiculous pretending that she's carrying his baby at the airport in order to shame him.. this chick is outrageous. Xu Kai, meanwhile, is slowly obsessing over her.. nothings going to come out of it.. I don't feel bad for him.

Interesting maybe?

Now is when its starting to get interesting. The friend is back from traveling abroad and Xiao Feng's ex, Ling Ling, is also introduced in this episode. Xiao Feng's interactions with the main actress (I can't remember her name right now O.o), are so funny. I love how she tries to con him each time she sees him. Her reactions are sooo exaggerated, the director clearly wanted to make her a caricature- at least for now. But i'm interested to see how this plays out :)

T_T

One of the saddest (not that I didn't know how it was going to end)... but the MOST BEAUTIFUL endings ever... I've been crying for the last 10 minutes...10 seconds... a life for one person in 10 seconds... last 10 seconds...

It's interesting that I was about to cry throughout all Night's almost shut-offs, but when they showed the tears and showed his memories fading away and the clock counting backwards from 10... his memories fading and becoming more and more faded and scattered, I was hyperventilating... and then came the end... THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ENDING!!! T_T (there you go, I started crying again...)

Save her!

For a few episodes now I have been wondering about connections and motivations and with episode 9 I think I have my answer. Yuna's reasons for doing what she was doing are still fuzzy to me but there are other real moments of clarity this episode brought. I had a feeling Takumi's investigation would uncover another juicy secret and it did! Now I want the build up to the end that episodes 10 and 11 will surely bring!

hmm

I'm not quite sure about this.. I mean I know the story really well because of 'My Girl', which I absolutely adored, but it's still a little iffy for me. It's light and Jimmy Lin is very yummy to look at so i'll stick it out and see if it gets better :)

I'm on Ji Hoon's side now.

Ok so Yeol Mae and Seok Hyun have great chemistry, there is no denying that. I mean those kissing/sex scenes in this episode were pretty hot :P But Seok Hyun is such a jerkwad!! I know he likes Yeol Mae but he won't admit it, and what man doesn't eventually want to get married and have kids. Seok Hyun is not healthy for Yeol Mae. She gets all emotional and paranoid because of him. I feel that she would have been better off if she had broken up with him and just severed all ties with him. Her mental and marital state would be much better. But Ji Hoon is so sweet, remembering her name after 5 years. I love his flashbacks, I laughed so hard. I was team Seok Hyun, but Ji Hoon you took my heart in this episode. Ahhh Ji Hee finds out that Mr. Nosy is now her manager! Yes! Let the workplace hijinks ensue, let's hope she dumps her boring bf for Mr.Nosy But Hot. Not really all that interested in Jae Kyeong's story though. One last thing, the writer girl who is now co-writing with Seok Hyun annoys me. She showed basically no emotions when she was supposed to be acting sad and then suddenly she's bright when she gets to co-write. I have a feeling that co-writing her scene/play with Seok Hyun wasn't all that she had in mind.... if you catch my drift.

Switcho Chango!

Now that everything is flipped on it's ear it's time to adjust to exactly who is who in this drama. Everyone is playing their part so well that when the flip came for several characters I was as shocked as they were! One scene in particular: the acting, the setting, the literal space between them symbolizing their emotional, moral and "situational" divide, was so well executed it moved me to tears. It made the episode! And the ending! OMO!

Poor Yunho :(

To be fair, this rating is only because (once again) Yunho got the short end of the stick. He's one of the most interesting characters overall (and his brother is really annoying sometimes) and it's really frustrating to see him get so much crap just because he isn't as smart as his brother.

please, make the triangle into a line

I have only one thing to say - long due, really: can the doctor please be erased from the picture?

A nice man by all means, but like all second males in Korean dramas, he's redundant. And I truly can't stand men who order food without asking her what she likes. He even decided how the meat should be done! Doctor or no doctor, that's too much.

Shooo.
