Kishi Kishi’s dream and life tutoring

This drama gave me both laughter and romance. It’s not particularly deep, but it absolutely delivers what it promises. I also appreciate how the story handled the relationship between the main characters. They never directly expressed their romantic feelings for each other, which makes sense given their student-teacher dynamic. That boundary could have been uncomfortable or inappropriate, but the show handled it carefully and respectfully, which I really admired.

If a second season ever happens, it would be the perfect opportunity to take Toru and Kishi Kishi’s relationship to the next level, especially now that Toru has graduated and is preparing for his college entrance exams by the end of the series.

That said, this show truly shines as a comedy. From the exaggerated delinquent reactions to Toru’s inner monologues. The unexpectedly soft, girly voice was just funny and endearing. The delinquent quartet was also a standout; all of them charming in their own ways. From the sexy mustache guy, to the cute “cucumber” type, to the overly dramatic one. Each character brought something unique to the story. And of course, Kishi Kishi himself is effortlessly good-looking, with an almost angelic presence in both his expressions and gestures.

What I love most about the series is its progression. By the end, we see Toru chasing a newly discovered dream, to become a teacher just like Kishi Kishi. That moment felt touching. Seeing someone inspire a younger person to shape their future like that is genuinely heartwarming.

Throughout the entire show, I felt a sense of positivity. Watching the characters immerse themselves in studying while still learning to enjoy life made the experience feel comforting and uplifting. Rei stood out as a memorable character, and I loved this side of him. The entire cast did a fantastic job, delivering strong performances that elevated the series.

In the end, despite being a light and easy watch, the drama carries meaningful lessons about the importance of studying and finding purpose. It’s a simple story, but one that leaves you feeling good long after it ends.

For dark lovers

I finally managed to watch it and I'm not disappointed. I'm not a fan of cute drama and I had high expectations for this one. Ok, love it. I love dark theme and it is perfect for that! It was really interesting with a slightly unsettling atmosphere. The acting is very good. I'm a fan of this kind of drama, and I'm glad to see Koreans getting interested in it too. I hope they make more that are just as disturbing! If you're not comfortable with kidnapping, rape, and manipulation, avoid it. Otherwise, go for it! I hope to find the actors' names at least xD

Masterpiece

This is the first time I’m writing a review without having seen all episodes. If I could, I’d give this 11+ stars. I’m not gonna name the obvious perks, like the incredible actors and captivating story line, but I want to emphasize how damn good this cinematography is. not just the visuals, but the battle choreography is… beautiful. I don’t really like using that word for it, but don’t know how else to express it. I have not seen a drama yet that manages to get me invested in the war strategy side. it’s easy to follow but never boring. and the way the battle scenes are cut, it leaves space for emotions. props to the director & team - i need more productions like these. and more dramas with all actors featured. they work so well together. (if anybody has recommendations pls comment)

"Where Memories and Feelings Quietly Meet Again"

Still Shining is a drama that feels more like a memory than a story. It doesn’t rush to impress or overwhelm—instead, it unfolds slowly, focusing on emotions that are left unsaid and moments that feel almost too real.

The drama centers around a reunion between two people who once meant everything to each other. Rather than turning this into a dramatic love story, it keeps things grounded and realistic. Their interactions are quiet, sometimes even awkward, but that’s exactly what makes it believable. There’s a sense of familiarity between them, mixed with distance created by time.

The biggest strength of Still Shining is its mood. The soft visuals, dim lighting, and gentle transitions between past and present create a nostalgic atmosphere. It constantly reminds you of how certain feelings don’t disappear, even if life moves on. The performances, especially from the leads, carry this emotional weight well without overacting.

However, the drama might not work for everyone. The pacing is noticeably slow, and there are moments where it feels like not much is happening. The storyline is simple and doesn’t offer many surprises, which can make it less engaging for viewers who prefer stronger plots. Some supporting characters also feel underused, leaving parts of the story less impactful.

Even with these flaws, Still Shining has a quiet charm. It doesn’t aim to be unforgettable in a dramatic way, but rather in a soft, lingering way. It’s the kind of drama you watch when you want to feel something gentle and reflective.

Maybe not for me

THE GOOD
The supporting characters are written in such as way as they are rooting for the main couple, as stand-ins for the audience, and its fun.

Din feels pretty authentic.

THE BAD -- BY EP2
Falling in love happens way too soon. Din has essentially always been "i would die for you" in love with her. And she immediately can tell. We don't get any of the fun flirting and actually falling in love with who a person is.

The "romance" is all just sound effects and drawn out gazing shots. Very little substantial interaction.

One of the FLs is like completely helpless. Multiple scenes are "escalated" just because she acts like a damsel instead of saying something simple like "don't touch me" or "I don't want to go with you". The entire bodyguard angle is also just based on this weird choice "pick between your neighbors who will take care of you" like what, she is a grown ass woman. If she needs security, then go buy / arrange it? Never speaks for herself, and it becomes such an assumed reality that many scenes just come across as if everyone's top priority is catering to her.

That princess dynamic is even more uncomfortable as the secondary characters are all treated like servants and it's weird. And not just that FL's supporting characters, its on both sides. Like your auntie that raised you just being a full time maid for you, when you live alone as a full adult, is crazy work. And all of her labor is taken for granted, just constantly asking her to do trivial things.

The secondary characters constantly give all credit to the leading characters. It is very heavy handed and overused. Just every single thing they do (which is always as servants) is stated out right "I did this but Din was the mastermind".

Antagonists behave like villains for no reason. Pretty much the whole initial premise that there is a threat to be protected from, is just the villain attacking her for absolutely no reason. Their interest is to marry their families and gain ownership of her land. In what way does trespassing in her home, assaulting her servant and ultimately physically forcing her into a car? Not only are those all crimes and they already know cops are watching them, but also she definitely isn't going to marry you if you do that? How does kidnapping her get you the deed to the land? Shouldn't you be romancing her? At least maintaining a cordial relationship so you can maybe buy the land? But no instead just random assaults. That /conveniently/ are not recorded.

It is all only possible because we have to pretend technology is just not an option the whole time. No video security on her farm or home, the only answer is to move in with your gf. Nobody can ever have a phone on them because pulling it out and recording would end these scenes immediately.

In theory she is already working with a cop, and investigating *human trafficking* and is still making zero effort to obtain *evidence* for crimes that we know they will commit with such certainty that we are going to move in together, that Din is going to carry a gun -- so many plotlines are relying on this premise to support. We will do everything but record them doing crime on us.

We ended ep2 with a motorcycle that for whatever reason already tried to run them off the road (so we definitely are on alert), stop in front of them and point a gun at them.............she is driving a car. A pretty big one too. Am I supposed to stop so that you can shoot me and not be run over in the process? What is the thought process of these cartoonish villains.

EP3
2 guys on a motorcycle chase an SUV because... that makes sense at all. Openly demonstrate that they are hostile / trying to kill them. At any point we could have just run them over and this is over. Instead they get in front and shoot at us from like forever away. Again we don't run them over.

They give us a flat I guess? Even with a flat we could run them over, they park right by us, it wouldn't be hard.

We also JUST established that Din keeps a gun on her because of all this stuff. But she gets out of the car with no weapon.

He doesn't shoot her immediately because... he has to say something nonsensical about her asking for it. His lines literally make no sense, and his method of trying to kill her has not made any sense and now he's not doing it so he can say nonsense. Just how many layers of a scene can make no sense?

The answer is at least one more because oh this was all a sting. We just really wanted to arrest a... hired gun for some reason. I guess they will interrogate him into rolling over, at this point I don't know what they can get from him that is worth this "plan" where she VERY EASILY COULD HAVE DIED (and should have, since she didn't run them over). Like damn, bullets were fired, they didn't miss "because you had it under control" you were just lucky. And he had a gun pointed at her in the end, and all it would have taken is 1 squeeze...

Freen walks up "I had it under control" (literally didn't) "I had to wait for him to incriminate himself" (he literally didnt do anything different right before then, he had been pointing a gun at her and shooting the car already)

And destroying any premise that Din is smart. Her plan is to block the antagonists by marrying her first, but she doesn't explain a single thing and just proposes. In what world would she do that? And then to still not have a clue that she skipped explaining something important. At some point you are lying so much that you don't even have a grasp of your partners POV is pretty bad for a romance story. But this is just played for a laugh. A proposal before they even have been open with their feelings at all.

EP4
...who could have predicted that people would expect you to kiss at your wedding. We really are going to act like this is a surprise. And then have a whole conversation about it while people are watching and chanting to kiss... But we did discuss that convincing people it was legit was important (for some reason? i forget)

EP6
We start the ep and a doctor looks at dad with a flashlight once and turns to just say "no, the movement didn't mean recovery it was just". Guess he was very sure immediately.

Yep, continuing to act like they don't have people that want to kill them. Let's sleep in separate buildings alone.

Everyone stop Rose! There is nothing we can do! We have to scream at this building instead of break a window so someone right there can climb out.

Aaaand, Din just appears. Who needs to know how or why! Moving on!

AAAAAA THEY STRAIGHT UP ASK ABOUT SURVEILANCE. Nope! She never bothered to. Despite having multiple attempts on her life. I am dying.

Rose making it all about her. Din was just in a fire, is apparently receiving no medical treatment, and has to facilitate the authorities. And she's still checking on Rose T_T Why is Rose so self absorbed.

hmm we took pictures of some people in hoods ..somewhere. but they just raid the house and of course find nothing. Gee I wonder how they will get out of this. Maybe the lack of any evidence they were involved?

"A Love That Still Shines Through Time"

Still Shining is one of those dramas that quietly stays with you. It doesn’t rely on heavy twists or dramatic storytelling—instead, it builds its strength through emotions, memories, and the idea that some connections never truly fade away.
The story follows two people who were each other’s first love in their youth but got separated due to circumstances, only to meet again after many years. Park Jin-young plays a man who has learned to live a simple, steady life, while Kim Min-ju brings warmth and quiet strength to her role. Their reunion isn’t dramatic or explosive—it’s subtle, slightly awkward, and filled with unspoken emotions, which makes it feel more real.

What really works here is the atmosphere. The drama carries a nostalgic tone, constantly shifting between past and present, reminding you of how time changes people but doesn’t erase feelings. The chemistry between the leads feels natural and gentle rather than intense, which suits the story perfectly. Their interactions often rely on silence, small gestures, and lingering looks instead of dramatic confessions.

Visually, Still Shining leans into soft lighting and warm tones, giving it a comforting and slightly melancholic vibe. It feels like watching memories unfold rather than a typical storyline. The OST blends well with this mood, enhancing emotional scenes without overpowering them.

However, the drama isn’t without flaws. The pacing can feel slow, especially if you’re expecting constant progression. At times, it feels like the story is repeating the same emotional beats. The plot itself is quite simple and predictable, and some supporting characters—including roles played by Shin Jae-ha and Park Se-hyun—don’t get as much depth as they could have.

Still, what makes Still Shining special is its sincerity. It doesn’t try to be more than what it is. It’s a story about first love, time, and the quiet hope that some feelings can survive even after years of distance. It may not leave a powerful impact instantly, but it lingers softly, like a memory you revisit.

Overall, it’s a calm and emotional watch—perfect when you’re in the mood for something nostalgic and reflective rather than intense.

Soft, messy, and right up my alley

Coming-of-age romances are my thing, so Too Young to Love was an easy watch for me. I liked how it captures that confusing stage where feelings start to grow but nothing is fully clear yet—everything feels a bit messy, a bit intense, and very real. Some moments felt genuinely soft and relatable, especially in the way emotions were shown rather than explained. At the same time, I wished it went a little deeper in certain parts, because it had the potential to hit even harder. Still, it’s a sweet and slightly imperfect story that I enjoyed, especially because this kind of romance will always have a place for me.

"Quiet, Beautiful, but Not for Everyone"

This drama doesn’t try to stand out loudly; instead, it gently finds its place through emotion. It embraces the quiet side of life—the moments people often overlook—and transforms them into something deeply meaningful. Rather than relying on heavy or dramatic storytelling, it unfolds through subtle emotions and gradual character growth, allowing its impact to linger long after each scene.

The drama takes its time, and that becomes both its strength and weakness. On one hand, it allows the characters to feel real, especially the leads whose bond develops in a very gentle and unforced way. Their relationship isn’t filled with dramatic highs, but rather small, comforting moments that make it believable. On the other hand, this same slow pacing can feel stretched, particularly in the middle episodes where the story doesn’t progress much.

One of the strongest aspects is the atmosphere. The soft visuals, warm tones, and calm settings create a soothing experience. It almost feels like the drama is inviting you to slow down and just sit with the characters. The OST blends perfectly with this mood, adding emotional depth without being too noticeable.

However, the storyline itself remains quite simple and at times predictable. While simplicity works in its favor, it also means there aren’t many standout or surprising moments. Some supporting characters feel underdeveloped, making parts of the story less engaging than they could have been.

Even with its flaws, Your Radiant Season has a certain charm. It’s not meant to be intense or thrilling—it’s meant to be comforting. It leaves a soft impression rather than a powerful one, making it a good watch when you’re in the mood for something calm and reflective.

“A Soft and Healing Story That Shines in Silence”

In Your Radiant Season feels less like a typical drama and more like a quiet moment you sit with. It doesn’t try to grab attention with heavy twists or dramatic conflicts—instead, it gently tells a story about healing, loneliness, and the slow process of finding comfort in someone else’s presence.

What really stands out is how natural everything feels. The story moves at its own pace, focusing on small details and everyday interactions rather than big events. The relationship between the leads develops softly, without forced drama, which makes it feel more real and relatable. Their chemistry isn’t intense or overwhelming, but calm and steady, fitting perfectly with the tone of the drama.

Visually, the drama is beautiful in a very subtle way. The warm lighting, quiet settings, and soft color palette create a peaceful atmosphere that matches the emotional depth of the story. It almost feels like every scene is meant to make you pause and reflect. The OST adds to this feeling, with gentle tracks that blend smoothly into the background and enhance the mood without taking over.

However, the slow pacing can be a hit or miss. There are moments, especially in the middle, where the story feels like it’s not moving much. If you prefer fast-paced dramas or strong plot twists, this might feel a bit dragging. The storyline itself is also quite predictable, and some of the supporting characters don’t leave a strong impression.

Still, what makes Your Radiant Season worth watching is its sincerity. It doesn’t try too hard—it simply tells a heartfelt story in a calm and honest way. It’s the kind of drama you watch when you want something comforting rather than exciting.

Overall, it’s a soft and emotional drama that stays with you quietly rather than leaving a strong impact.

A MUST WATCH--THE STANDARD

Whether you're new to Thai GL, not like the Genre of rom-coms, or an go GL watcher, this series is a MUST watch. I swear on my life. This Thai GL rewired my expectations of Thai GLS to whole new level. I blabber a lot, but this is something I stand on. And I don't play when it comes to Thai GLS.

First off, the plot. I usually do like drama in what I watch, but I loved the storyline a lot. I loved the dynamic between the two characters, and there are rarely any conflict. I highly recommend to those who love rom-coms, office setting typa stuff. But like the pacing felt a bit off honestly, but so many factors enhance the show, so I could care less.

Another thing--the cast. I feel like this could have never been pulled off without the right actors, I am very VERY Thankful for the people who casted THE Kao and THE Janeyeh. I have watched their previous projects prior and they are amazing. They have lots experience in acting, so it is obvious how good the show turns out. The Chemistry is also there, I can feel it through the screen. I also feel like they are really similar to their characters in real life, which makes the acting feel natural. ITS THE EYES GUYSSS, the eyes be doing their job.

The music in this show is absolutely insane. The instrumental music in the background just fits right for every moment. It just heightens the moment and makes it feel nostalgic. The music itself is what made this series deserve a 10. Most of em are in my Spotify playlist 😂

I hate how this is so rewatchable because I can't stop coming back to this show. THANK YOU VELCURVE STUDIO I LOVE YOU

Cat for Sunscreen

They need to be stopped because I did not watch six minutes for sunscreen lol

Super cute and super weird, and probably super unnecessary, unless Tiger, Lynx and the Spanish speaking cat convinced you to buy Nivea sunscreen (they did not convince me by the way - I'm sticking to my usual one).

But I'll watch anything just to watch First and Khao so yes, I'm sold (on the idea, not the sunscreen)

Fora todo o relacionamento, a trama é interessante. As reviravoltas e traições, relacionamentos doentios e lealdade firme, tudo isso pode ser encontrado ao longo dessa história. É um pacote completo para te fazer surtar de raiva e alegria.

Amor Entrelinhas: impossível não se envolver

“Amor Nas Entrelinhas” virou totalmente meu dorama conforto 🥹✨
