Anyone notice this series is a rip off of the japanese anime "Overlord".
Too much similarity between them.

Spoiler alert  ( just stating the similarity )

That for sure goes to my top 10.  I can't complain about anything in this drama. The plot is smart, surprising. The cast  was really nice. Lee Jeon Suk showing his awesomeness as always. How not to fangirl him. Anytime I watch him I fangirl him hahaha.
Well This is not only one history throughout the hole series, but a couple of mini histories inside a major one, and each case prossecutor Jeon worked was a surprise. I usually think when I cant predict what's gonna happen next, and when it happens I get surprised and satisfied a sign that the history is good.
Yes, this was a very good history, a very good drama. The main female lead, something  always complain in dramas, was a really good character. Not the same crying good-for-nothing-beside-being-saved most female lead in dramas. I really like dramas that goes beyond cliches, and this was one of those.
I recommend watching it, and re watching it.

I have been watching chinese, Taiwanese, korean and Japanese dramas for my whole life, this was the most boring , simple minded drama. Its totally waste of time, dont even bother to watch it.  There are other dramas in china that are more worthwhile than this. The story is too simple, no depth, ridiculous boring. Other than few guys are handsome, not worthy at all. Couples broke up for ridiculous reasons like misunderstanding, miscommunication s, brokency etc...story is written by a 13 years old mindset teenagers.

The Big Boss will make you laugh, that's guaranteed. It's a light-hearted comedic story about the relationship of two childhood acquaintances.  Mu Xi and Dan Yi don't really show the right off the bat romance or crushing, which is what makes this drama so refreshing. The first season, did have it's parts that didn't really feel like it pertained to the plot; so in my opinion, some fillers for the story. I do like how Dan Yi and Mu Xi are constantly finding themselves in situations where there's more that meets the eye between the two. It's highly funny to watch throughout and keeps it's plot stable over the course of 18 episodes. (NOTE: The second season is another whopping 18 episodes, so 36 in total.) I do believe that the focus shifted between the little side stories of the drama and the main story between Mu Xi and Dan Yi, but the interconnection between it all is what makes the drama memorable for me. If you're looking for a good laugh while enjoying a unique relationship between the main actors, The Big Boss is the drama for you. It's not too serious but not too focused on laughs that makes it an enjoyable watch, one worth sitting / laying down for long periods of time. Innocent, sweet, and absolutely a danger to your air supply from laughing so hard. The Big Boss is a big catch.

This is such a beautiful movie! Feel good Rom-com with no irritating second leads.
The backdrop which is Italy is so beautiful that you cannot help but fall inlove yourself. It gives you a glimpse of OFW's life but not in a depressing way.

Maine Mendoza is such a breath of fresh air. She acts so natural and so beautifully. Plus she's really pretty.  Alden Richards is very expressive and is also a good actor. The side  characters were also good additions without being distracting.

The chemistry between these leads is phenomenal!!! You can definitely feel the butterflies!

Must watch and highly recommend!

A heartbreaking but a very heart warming drama about youthful love. The drama has a typical premise but, it perfectly encapsulated how pure love can be for young people. Also, it  has a perfect pace. The story was clearly told despite its very short duration (1 hour). The actors did a great job. They were really able to convey the realistic emotions of their characters regarding their situations. I fell in love with Jang Dong Yoon. This is the first time I see his acting, and I really did feel bad for Uhm Ki Suk. Even if the ending was open-ended, I can only think that there will be a continuation on their relationship. All in all the drama was moving, I cried. And as I finished watching the whole thing, I smiled.  I recommend this one especially if you love warm hugs.  :)

I had high hopes for this drama, it's rated 8.2 on douban, and c!netizens are incredibly harsh on cdramas, some of  the beloved popular dramas on here range from 5 ~ 6. I should probably note I'm even harsher than douban though. I haven't read the novel which was by the same guy who wrote the well known Candle in the Tomb series. It was half talking about Tianjin and half (rather simple) plot, and the drama added the much needed two female main characters to add more interesting dynamics, so I won't touch how it adapted.

Anyways, this is fairly unique drama, it's I think best described as a mystery thriller with a dab of folklore and mysticism which I was 120% in for but also mix in some cult and other odd supernatural elements that left me mildly confused. There is bit of romance but it's probably 1/10 of the drama if even that. (mostly blatant crush, little bit of flirting and a few scenes here and there) so don't come in looking for them. The duality of mysticism/traditionalism vs science/modern sensibilities embodied by our two sets of main character adds interesting layers to the plot.

I can't tell you how happy I am by the Shuo Shu (storytelling?) style of recapping at beginning of every episode,  all the tidbits about local customs of Tianjin, particular accent of a supporting character; they all subtly bring the setting alive. I think the plot started out pretty engaging, as they seem to stumble into more and more mysteries that's interconnected. The relationship between the two main characters were pretty fun, since they played off each other well and the banter was delightful. I'm rather unhappy with the antagonist side though, from disappointing resolution of minor antagonists, to what I think rather ineffectual evil plot, not to mention supernatural bits that I think could be better utilised in other stories, but I digress.

I was pretty surprised by the use of fresh faced young actors in this drama but I'm happy they did so. Li Xian did an excellent job as Guo De You, his character has the most nuances,  and can spout out unpopular opinions but the acting makes it perfectly believable that it's something he would do, Zhang Ming En started off over acting quite a bit but I think settled in his role as Ding Mao fairly nicely after few episodes.  Wang Zi Xuan had the hard job of playing the somewhat annoying, overeager Gu Ying, but I personally wasn't bothered by her and she's the brawl of the group! Charlene Chen's Xiao Lan Lan was probably my favourite character, but she was bound to be by the virtue of being a daughter of a well off and powerful family who's determined to have her own career in those times.  Honestly, the two female characters could use more character development and more layers, but they aren't boring one note characters so I'll take what I can get.

I rather like the aesthetics of the drama, even though the somewhat muted filter threw me off so much when I first started watching it. Some of the hairstyle are a little wait what? Like Ding Mao's Doumyouji hair, but I got used to that; Guo De You's....I don't even know what that is, I adapted to surprisingly easily due to what I can only presume to be Li Xian's sheer charms; Gu Ying's damn frizzy pigtails with bird's nest on top is a sight to behold though'. She also have this unfortunate plait wrapped around into a bun on top of her head with dangling flowers or some bits on the side at some point that convinced me the stylist really hates her. The patchwork whatever clothes they wear are confusing but seems to make sense in this bizzaro world.

Wait, I was talking about liking the aesthetics...! Right, there are some bits of animation in the drama that's drawn in a fairly realistic style that I really liked. The OP was....literally  the characters yelling out their own characteristics while random images are cobbled together into a creepy unsettling montage that set the tone of the series really well but freaked me out quite a bit for the initial few episodes. Love the ED a lot which was by Jam Hsiao as well as the deleted scenes? that plays before the ED at the end of every episodes since they fill in some gaps and you can hear the drama without the dub! (This being a web drama, I think the actors all dubbed themselves but don't quote me on that.)

All in all, I think it's a drama worth watching despite all of its faults, which I have detailed far more than its good points, but please believe me when I say I did enjoy this drama a lot and love some of it to bits. Season 2 has been confirmed so I'll definitely be on a look out next year!

I loved FMA.  I was always a huge fan.  I finished the anime about 6-7 years ago but I was still able to remember and recognize things from the movie.

Edward was always my favorite so I worried if this actor could pull it off.  Amazingly, he looked just like what I would imagine the real Edward would look like.  Al was spot on and even the voice reminded me of the voice in the anime.    Besides Ed, I always loved Colonel Mustang's character.  Loved the way he could start a fire by just snapping his fingers.  I thought that was pretty cool.  Hughes looked exactly like the character in the anime.  Great job casting.

I did feel a bit rushed at times with the plot.  I know it is a movie and not a show.  I kept wanting it to last longer and not end so I kept looking at the time.  I definitely think that they should be a part two because there is a lot more stuff that needs to happen.

I do wish that Ed would have showed off more of his abilities though.  They really didn't make him do so much at least as much as I would have liked to see.

Music....honestly, I wasn't really paying attention to it.
If they can bring FMA to live...I wonder if someone can please start working on bringing Naruto to life.  I think that would be epic.

Five seconds into the first episode and I was "this is my favorite 2017 drama". Not because of the setting, not because of some cute  actor... no, the first line had already hooked me. Never happened to me before. I wish I was more eloquent in English, to describe how much I love this drama. Every second of it.

For people who want eye-candy, there is the Shoujo Prince and two Tokusatsu heroes... but their pretty faces can't beat the talent of the veteran actor Yakusho Koji.  His gentle smile, his determination to achieve his goals, his  tears of frustration, of happiness. President Miyazawa, who loved his little company, his employees... always wearing his blue hanten. This man impressed me so much I was constantly posting about him.

Short version of my review: this drama reminded a lot of the anime "Haikyuu", in spirit.

Real rating: 100/10... thank you to yamazaki-kento dot com for subbing this amazing drama <3

A lukewarm family drama with highs and lows. Oh, Dad!—or, if you’d prefer its Japanese title, “Oyaji”—follows the Kanzaki family, headed by the traditionalist motormouth pediatrician Kanichi (the eponymous “oyaji”). The plot centers on the personal crises faced by each member of the family, usually spurred on by a quotidian (if major) life change, and how they choose to be true to themselves in the face of adversity. There isn’t much to it—no surprises, twists, or revelations, and the theme isn’t even particularly special. That said, this is an easy, unobtrusive, feel-good drama which might suit perfectly as a palate cleanser after something more intense.

Standouts include Tamura Masakazu as Kanichi, whose breathless rants are definitely a highlight. Tamura pivots between loud and overbearing to warm, tender, and wise with an ease that is stunning. Though his character’s subplot with Ishida Yuriko’s Machiko is the drama’s biggest stumbling point, it was a lot of fun to watch him interact with pretty much anyone. An honorable mention to extremely young Okada Junichi, whose Kanzaki Tadashi is cut from the same cloth as his father—it’s pretty obvious he was always destined to grow into the strong actor that he is today. He draws the eye despite the extreme focus on his sisters (particularly Hirosue Ryoko’s Suzu, whose storyline is a bit of a mess). Everyone else more or less does their part, though some of the characters are bit superfluous; honestly, I could have done without the gyaru-culture caricature that is Sumika.

As for the music, nothing was memorable aside from the theme song, "Sayonara, Daisuki na Hito (Goodbye to the one I love most)" from Hana*Hana. It’s a bittersweet ballad with delicate vocals that sets the stage for the growth undertaken by the cast.

When I knew that Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma will be together in this serie after Hanakimi, I knew I had to watch it. And I'm so happy, I loved the show so much!!!
The scenes they are together are awesome. The story wasn't at all what I was expecting and you are keeped on the edge cause you don't know what is going to happen just almost until the last minute.
The acting is very good. Perhaps I'm not really objective, cause both actors are among my favorite Japanese actors ever, but even at the end of this drama, I couldn't guess what Ryuzaki Ikuo (Ikuta Toma) was thinking to do. Ueno Juri's acting was good too.
If you aims to watch something with a good mistery, action and good actors, this is it!

I haven't fully watch Nirvana in Fire 1 but I can still follow this 2nd season series. The story has relation to the previous season but has a completely different story but still based on the up and down of Changlin Army. This drama is one of a kind. A masterpiece. The cinematography is breathtaking. The setting and the cruelty of war were shown properly. The story as well is amazing. It's not like a typical historical drama with a complex love story like usual that you would find (Empress Ki, Princess Wei Young). No. It is more focus on different kinds of love. Love for your family, friends, lovers and your country. The story is really beautiful especially the brotherhood between Ping Jing and Ping Zhang. It also shows that love and trust is the only thing that will sustain a country. It needs to start with your family and it will extend to other people which surround you.

One great thing about this drama is the fact that most of the characters are brilliantly smart. Even the female characters are smart too. (I die hard for smart character). The villain as well, you can even relate and took pity on them. It's not like the villain are born to be a villain. But sometimes circumstances made them do what they do. In the end, this drama has become one of my most fav drama ever.

In the beginning, I hesitated to continue but I'm glad that I did not stop watching. The start was kind of weird but then after the first couple eps, it gets very interesting.  I die hard for the main couple (and side couple too off course hehe).  The chemistry between Aragaki and Hoshino Gen was apparent. I really like their awkward, but cute love development. The main female lead is weird, unique with a broad imagination. I really like her imagination and overthinking. She made simple things into complex things which make the story more interesting. I can say with confidence, this drama truly deserve being the number 1 romance j drama of the recent year (based on mdl ratings). It's very hard to find a decent romance j drama lately, and I can say this is a must watch for j drama lover.

I don't expect Hoshino Gen as an actor (main lead even), He is a great singer though.  His song Koi which is made into the ending song was really great. I love the dancing as well... is very cute and addicting. I don't expect there is a mandarin ver of the song as well, made by a fan (you can find on youtube. The song was really really good)

For quite a while, I have not able to find any romance j drama that I like, until I stumble into this masterpiece.  I really fall in love with the fake God. Yamashita is so funny and he is really suitable for the character! The dialogue with all the characters are very witty and clearly define the theme of fated love. Apparently, the screenwriter is pretty famous for making a witty drama.  The other drama is Sekaiichi Muzukashi koi with Ohno Satoshi and Haru as leads.

What I like about the drama is the fact that the main lead is like your everyday ordinary guy who has his own struggle with love and works hard for it.  Every episode, you just want to cheer him on. In addition, I also like the fact that the female lead is cold and logical but actually has a warm heart.  I will miss this show a lot. I was so sad when the ep end, but it was a great ride without too much pull.
