I was not sure what to expect from this drama, but overall I liked the story itself.

I confess that at first I found it a little slow, mainly because it seemed that there was going to be a lot more mystery at the beginning, but that parte was resolved quickly. I was totally captivated from Episode 5, was more about the love and we began to question more the purpose of the past, present and future, and what small decisions can affects all your life.

On the acting ... the actors were all news to me * less the chen ting xuan but I do not even remember where I saw her * I really enjoyed Derek his acting in every part of the drama was very good, such as chan Lyan, I think she was perfect for the character.

I do not know if I would see this again, but I do not think so.
In short it was a good drama to watch.

This drama is definitely overrated. There are many famous actors actresses are involved in the production to promote the series.  The series itself also based on a based selling novel, City of Fantasy.  For my review, let's divide into pros and cons.

Pros:
1. Amazing concept
2. Costume and character design is really beautiful and fantastic
3. Amazing special effects and animation
4. The action scenes are pretty cool
5. A lot of famous actors and actresses are involved in it. If you are a fan, you would like to watch it.

Cons:
1. The plot is complex
2. Ending is weird and unclear
3. Too much annoying character
4. The story can be too cheesy and sappy

In the end, this drama is a failure to me. Despite the great concept and beautiful imagination, it offers me, but the story just fails me hard.

The story is too typical and too many loopholes as well... I try my best to keep on watching but I end up skipped a lot of eps and decide to drop it. The acting is also bad.... The story is boring as hell, nothing interesting at all. If you are a fan of Victoria (Fx), you might want to try it. But I think this drama does not worth the time to watch. A typical story of a mother who lost her child. The mother is living a life of luxury now. The stepdaughter became the love rival of the daughter.  A total waste of time with too many eps, and the characters are plain and without any brain to think smart.

First of all, kudo for the writer to try something new. This drama is not your typical Korean drama. The story is very unusual and unique (as expected from tvn, usually they make unique drama). It has quite a start slow but it built the story to be very funny. Once they turn into grandpa, the story becomes very funny. This drama is more a comedy focus, so forget to have a serious criminal case. The story is lighthearted and great to watch to pass some free time, in addition, you get to see Hee Chul to!  The cases are all very predictable. I think sometimes the comedy is overdone that makes the drama weird.  I think this drama has some potential to get better.

The is a plot twist in the middle. Then the story becomes too predictable and typical a little bit melodramatic k drama. And I fall for 2nd male lead... Sigh.....

It's a super funny movie. Though it is not a popular one. It's not even popular in mydramalist. The story is good. It's about cheating in exam . In short the story goes  like this-all student of dorm must got A  to save their dorm from demolition and how unique ways they can find to cheat in exam. It is my first Japanese live action movie and i thoroughly enjoyed it. What i liked is that they it is a pure comedy movie not a romantic comedy which is very common today. Main characters  and villain who is a evil professor acted very well. Music is okay. What i really liked is that how students get unique ways to cheat in every exam though most of them are highly unrealistic but even Hollywood movies are also sometimes unrealistic. It serves is purpose which is to make people laugh. Overall, i recommend everyone to watch it.

After watching many BL series, I can say that Waterboyy The Series is among my favorite ones. The story focuses on important values in life, such as real friendship, forgiveness, patience, and perseverance. Apo's love for Waii is sublime and deep to the point of changing Waii's life and making him a better person. That's true love!!! I hope we can watch season 2 because Apo-waii and other couples stories (Wan-Min, Kluay-Achi, and Put-Sung) can be better explored and detailed. In regards to Pan and Fah, I do not believe they forced her to be straight. Sexual orientation has many nuances. In my opinion, both of them sound bisexual, and  they can totally match. I truly believe what happened to Pan can definitely happen in real life. Not accepting this fact is having an inverse prejudice concerning sexual orientation.

The most awkward pairing i've seen TT. i really want to enjoy this but the Male Lead (Park Shin Yang) acting is putting me off. It's my second time seeing him in drama, the first one was in Sign (medical drama), in both drama his acting was over the top. I thought it was just his character his portraying but he shows the same kind of the acting in both drama TT . I do commend the female lead (Moon Geun Young) for being the most believable girl posing as a boy. The romance between the two leads felt so forced and I cringe in every scene that implies sexual tension between them. I shipped the female lead so bad to her foster brother (Lee Jun). Their chemistry is undeniable. The female lead looks so convincing as a boy that I actually wish for her to turn gay and end up with the gisaeng (Moon Chae Won) who fell in love with her ^^

I think 20 episode is too long for this, i skipped a lot of scenes toward the end for it feels dragging already. If you wish to watch a more interesting take on this certain timeline in Joseon history, better watch YiSan. Both dramas have something to do with the arts (painting) and the mystery of the death of Prince Sado.

1. The cast was perfect, every single one of them especially Jun Ho and Won Jin Ah.
2. Good ending that finishes up the story well.
3. There is no perfect character, all the charcters were realistics each with their faults and strengths which is realistic and how characters should be.
4. Great soundtrack that fit scenes well and the show also used silence really well in key scenes which needed it.
5. cinematography was done really beautifully.
6. no cliche romance, no car crashes or amnesia etc. to build up tension.
7. it's daily life - nothing over the top, everything is realistic to even the smallest details like gang doo's phone and no stupid misunderstandings.
8. The plot was written really well and everything comes together perfectly.
One of the first dramas where there isn't a single thing which would only happen in drama land.

Well how should I start.

Story 9/10 - A differ between the WEBTOON and the web drama with a lot of cut scenes. If they had added the special episodes to the web drama it will be a 10/10 for sure.

Acting: Both leads were fantastic - Dylan (loved his eye contact and his smile that shows it all) and Sierra (loved her gentle, polite and shy personality). Also, I'm really amazed with Lu Jin Nian's secretary (don't know his name) well done job. As well as the evil step mother Tien Hsin who portrayed the role really well to be hated.

Music: Beautiful, sad and lovely. Love the opening song "I Love You" so sweet and romantic and all the in between slotted songs by both leads and others.

Conclusion: Overall this is a very excellent web drama even though the web drama is not completed that has a combination of happy and sad ending.

I have nothing to say. I am overwhelmed by this drama. The ending made cry. THIS is the best thing I have ever watched. The concept, the acting, the nail-bitting suspence, over the top action sequence, the rivalry,  the emotion, the chemistry between the three main characters, the devilish acting of the villain, the cinematography, the fictional story, the..........................................I can go all day, all night saying about this drama but it may not be enough. This should be the best drama ever created. I have watched many drama including asian and netflix series. No drama touched my heart this much. The torture  scene were acted like the victims are really being tortured. The acting of each character was beyond oscar worthy. And the main characters : Sato Hiroshi and Kimora: the chemistry between them, the rivalry, the bromance turned revenge was the main attraction of the show. I know this is one of the most popular Korean drama but I think its still underrated.
Lastly, IF U HAVEN'T WATCHED THIS DRAMA SHAME ON U, GO WATCH THIS U DONT KNOW WHAT UR MISSING.

I liked this drama. That would be an understatement.I loved this drama would be a more accurate statement.Firstly the female lead's character was a hit for me. Second, the male lead's character was a hit for me. Lastly, their relationship development was a hit for me. All in all I would like to appreciate the beautiful atmosphere set up the fellow by the rest of the characters, specially those who were part of the night market people. It had a hint of everything you'd wanna see bromance, romance, jealously, aesthetics, misunderstandings stc .My favourite part of this entire drama was that none of these aspects was overstated. People may complain that the pacing was too slow but I disagree. Pacing is merely based on expectations. If you're look for an intense drama with fast sequences this this might not be the one for you. But if you're wanting a drama which focuses on detailed developments of relationship not just of the main leads, but everyone else as well, then ...wohoo !You're at the right place

Starting of with the female lead.I don't think she couldn't get better. She was stubborn yet she knew when to be accepting of other people's views and learnt from them. She had this naive innocent side ( all male leads love their silly girls rit ) but she was mature at the same time. She was headstrong and not shy of skinship.I especially liked the part where she said no to the male lead because she was concerned about the second lead but the same line drew the line when the second lead said he liked her. Girls who know what they think and want are favourites for me. I really appreciate her character in this compared to her in 'Back to 1989' where she was barely tolerable.

Moving on to the male lead, I like to appreciate the fact that although he was shown to proud and confident, he didn't cross over to the line of arrogance. Yes he did push the female lead here to better heights but he knew when he should stop and understand her emotions. Their chemistry was wonderful, natural, silly and mature at the same time. I just couldnt't get enough of it.

The second leads though coulda sorta done better. The male second was just sappy. He had oppurtunities yet rather then using them he just to act lovesick and lament from the sidelines. Very annoying. And well y'all shold know theres not gonna be much second lead syndrome here. The female second lead here was so different from others. She knew she wanted the male lead yet she wasn't excessively pushy and didn't bitch too much. Her straightforwardness though, though really didn't add up much to the perception of a bitchy female lead which is sometimes (do not deny ... hehehe) satisfying.

Another major major major thing I appreciated here was the ending. See all taiwanese dramas will compulsarily have this period in the dramas where there are uncalled for misunderstanding and for a short period of time they remain estranged. This drama did not excessively drag that part, showed us a twist in an innovative way during that time and got us a good happy cliche ending. Satisfaction guaranteed!(Trust me you're gonna end up staying for the food visuals )

I'm just writing this as a warning for others like me...I wish someone had posted a review that this was another horrendous film. The movie poster should have been a dead giveaway, so I'll take that more seriously next time. Just look at the poster and you'll figure out the plot. I'll never watch anything with Dong Hyeok again. He has to be really twisted. I think producers and actors must feel really oppressed by the strict censorship of TV and can't wait to create garbage like this. What a sick bunch of people.

This is a heartwarming drama which focused on the relationship of a woman with her in-law-family.  The husband is such a sweet and perfect husband. I envy her so much! The way the drama is playout is really interesting. Sometimes a mother-in-law tends to rely too much on their daughter-in-law, more than their own daughter. The side love story is also very cute. I adore the little sister romance with her boss in the restaurant. I wish to see them more often on the screen. Even I want to see them having a couple of children together.

For fans of the original Nirvana in Fire, don't go into this thinking it's a sequel as billed and you'll be happier.

This drama, while billed as a sequel, shouldn't be. It just the same universe. One of the cute kids that were trained to fight in the first Nirvana, is now the father of the main characters.

Those who haven't watched the first Nirvana, you don't need to watch it to understand this one.

What I liked? Just about everything though, I did fast forward on "bad guys, plotting, bad things again" stuffs, especially around the 30ish episodes.

This drama has an excellent blend of serious and humorous  moments that  don't seem shoehorned in.

If you've already watched a few dramas in this drama I would recommend watching this one without reservations. It's that entertaining.

What I didnt like and I know it's going to make people mad....Xioming's face

Obviously he had some more work done so I spent most of his first few episodes onscreen being distracted by his new squarer face. I couldn't put my finger on it but then I was reminded of Luo Jin  from Princess Wei Young and how much his face had squared since Diamond Lover.

But, it looks good on him. So, congrats to his doctor, I'm just going to miss that seriously chiseled butt-chin of his.

I wouldn't watch it again but, that's because dramas like these aren't really my thing.

I wouldn't recommend this to someone completely new to the genre.

Sequels usually end up in disaster and are terribly bad, but this sequel was much better than I had ever hoped for!!

Story:
The story is much more different than the story of NIF1. In this drama, the theme focuses more around familial ties as well as loyalty and righteousness towards the emperor, the country, and the people in general. Overall I loved the story, although I must admit that the final few episodes were just a tiny-bit underwhelming.

I personally feel that the characters in NIF2 were much more "human" and relatable than the characters in NIF1. But the plot in NIF1 is a bit more complex since it focused more on the political aspect rather than the familial aspect. I sincerely ADORED so many of the characters. I loved Pingzhang's cautiousness and wisdom, Pingjing's playful and carefree manners, Lin Xi's calm and collected poise, Qianxue's love and understanding, Tingsheng's awesome fathering skills and loyalty to his brother and his country, oh I could go on with Xun Fei Zhan and Lin Jiu, and etc.

Plus every time they hinted at or mentioned someone from NIF1, the feels would really start to hit :')

Acting:
I'm sure everyone was in doubt towards the actors when the casting was first announced. Much to my surprise, HXM did wayyyyyy better than I expected. LHR is very young (only 20 yrs old) and I think for his age, he did amazing and portrayed his character of Xiao Pingjing very well, from playful/carefree young lad to a changed/more solemn young man. I loved the female actresses too; TLY and ZHW both portrayed their characters very well. And of course, all of the supporting casts that Daylight Entertainment likes to reuse in all of their productions also acted very well.

Music:
Opening theme is a variation of the opening theme of NIF1, with a slightly more hopeful melody (as with the more happy ending than in NIF1).  I love the ending theme song as well (both the female and male versions). Instrumental was good too.

Rewatch:
There are A LOT of specific scenes that I think are very worth rewatching, such as a lot of the early wuxia-fighting scenes were wonderfully filmed. And of course, all of the deep and emotional family scenes (Tingsheng and Pingjing!) as well as the daily Xiao family shenanigans. I wouldn't rewatch the whole drama though, but there are a lot of scenes I will definitely rewatch.

Overall:
Absolutely loved this show. Compared to all the sequels of movies/dramas I've ever seen in my life, this is a sequel that can almost be equal to its prequel. Both NIF1 and NIF2 are equal in my heart, and both have their pros and cons. Definitely worth giving it a shot if you've seen NIF1 and are debating or not whether to watch this!! If you haven't seen NIF1, then by all means, watch this, because this is still a very good quality drama on its own.
