What made me watch this in the first place was Eun Hye then came in Kang Ji-hwan in the picture then everything turned out to be a hilarious chaos. Two good actors in a very funny story line = awesome result.

Though the ratings do not agree with my opinion, I’m still giving it my two thumbs up and recommending it.

It’s silly how much I miss a full blown romantic comedy in a skin-deep-only sense, but I like the drama because it doesn’t make me think too much. There was this certain flow of easiness and lightness within the story line, though not without bits of draggy parts but the good line delivery by the main characters made up for that loss. The story line was simple, there wasn’t much twist and turns that would make you pull out your hair in frustration and because of that simplicity, it became a wonderful drama.

The sound track was cute, I now have it as my ringtone and is also part of my play list. Heh.

I watched this drama because the story appealed to me - a fake marriage. I like stories where the marriage is first and the love comes after. The main reason I knocked points off this drama is due to the production values. The camera work kept switching back and forth between styles which was a little distracting. The leads were great and the chemistry was good. There was a period toward the end - the inevitable separation period before getting back together that just was pointless to me, so that was another reason that I lowered the rating. Overall, though, I did enjoy it. Most of the story was fun and cute.
I probably won't rewatch this one, but I am glad I watched it.

Despite watching this drama not too long ago, I literally had to go back and read the episode recaps to even remember what it was about. This is the only drama that I can't remember almost at all. I think that speaks to how bland it is. I mean, I finished it, so I must have enjoyed it to some extend but I think that I stuck with it just because I was bored. Watch it if you love any rom coms. Otherwise, don't waste your time on this one.

What happen to this drama??
it was I thought while watching this drama..
the story was quite interesting at the first time,,But then it's changed being miserable.. It made me disappointed.. After completing this drama I read some news that the writer has been changed to increase the ratings.. Are you serious? It even worse than before..

I hope something more from this one.. Unfortunately,I didn't get it..
Yoon Eun Hye and Kang Ji Hwan were quite promising.. But it can't help to make this drama looks outstanding.. However, overall I still give 6 for this one. At least for some episodes were entertain enough..

Huh, finally i finished this drama, it was a (quite) long journey with lot of breaks, but i finished the last few epidsode today.

...THE STORY.......
I think the main problem with this drama is that, it's too long.
10 episode will be more than enough for the story line, but with this 16 episode it became more and more tiresome beacuse of the (unrealistic) problems and the "i love you, you love me, but we can't be together" repeating. (Just like in the Heirs.)

In the beginning it seems very promising, i enjoyed the funny situations and misunderstandings caused by the fake marriage, it was fresh and quite interesting but (about) from the middle of the drama it started changing, the (waaay to much) tears and suffering started dominated the story, and it's okay and understandable for a couple of times, (love is complicated, or what) but when i saw the main leads (especially the female ones) crying the third and fourth times in an episode for just almost nothing - well, it just killed the show for me.

...CHARACTERS and ACTING.......
It was problably because of the character of Ah Jung, whom i can't understand, she also can act really stubborn (on a positive way) and confident in situations, which was quite likable, but sometimes (mainly in the end) she was just the opposite and act weakly, or just walk away while crying. Also, she was on my nerves, because she never talked about her problems with the man she loves (and whom can maybe solve the problem, or at least cheer her up) no, she just usually said "It's nothing" and was suffering alone with a smile on her face.)
I also wasn't keen of the male lead, Ki Joon, but it wasn't beacuse of the character but the acting. That was the first time i saw Kang Ji Hwan playing a role, and (sorry for the big fans, but) i found his acting unnatural and overact. He's handsome, no doubt, but his acting skills didn't convincing me. (Maybe he improved since this drama, and get better.)

The most likable characters were supporting ones, Manager Park and the assistant guy of Ki Joon, they were always themselves, and almost every words of them were pure gold (especially Manager Park). And of course it also thanks to the good acting, both Park Ji Yoon and Kwon Yool performed their characters really well, it was delightful watching them.

...THE ENDING.......
The couple of last episode was just an overwrought suffering with too much tears and unnecessary situations (with newspaper articles and what's people thinking), so mostly didn't happened anything significant.
Maybe, the very last episode was some kind of returning to the starter mood of the drama, it was quite lovely and i think it was a worthy ending to this drama, but the way while we get to this end, it was a little bit too long-drawn.

I can't resist watching this drama n the lovely couple over and over again. Really a very matching and compatible couple and a good love story plot. Wish they can film another love drama again. If they are real couple, guess they are going to the best couple in my list. I will definitely give my rating to 100 if there is 100, for this drama and couple. Well done

Well I started to watch this drama without expectatives only for the actress Yoon eun hye, I wanted to watch every drama of her, because I loved her in coffe prince and goong, welI at the beginning I didn't like the male lead, but I started to love him, he is  a such good actor, well the drama was a little boring I have to addmit that It was so hard for me to finish it, it took me a long time like one year to finish it  , I finished it by force because I have others drama to watch. Well I think that took me a log time to finishe because In a determinated moment the female lead made me angry with her acctitude, conclusion I liked the drama, but I fell that something missed in the history, it  couldn't catch me at all.

Lie To Me

This was a re-watch. In retrospect, I think this show suffered a lot on the second time viewing. I had fonder memories of it the first time around. For instance, I had forgotten entirely how torturous the final two and a half or so episodes were. I still love Yoon Eun Hye, who plays Gong Ah Jung, a civil servant who works for the Ministry of Tourism. Her character tells a little white lie about being married in an attempt to one-up a frenemy, and it ends up being blown all out of proportion, linking her to the chaebol CEO Hyun Ki Joon, played refreshingly by Kang Ji Hwan. He starts out very gruff, cold, and aloof but quickly assuages any worries about him being the stereotypical terrible human being CEO type but actually being quite charmingly naive and humanly broken by a previous love and some complicated family issues. Sung Joon plays his younger brother, Hyun Sang Hee, though I feel like his character must not have tested positively when the show was airing because he gets dropped rather abruptly about 3/4ths of the way through the series. Jo Yoon Hee plays Oh Yoon Jo, the ubiquitous former girlfriend who returns and insists on everything falling into place the way she wants it regardless of the feelings of anyone else involved character.

Hong Soo Hyun does a great job as Yoo So Ran, the frenemy of Gong Ah Jung. The elder romantic triangle between Gong Ah Jun's father, the woman he loves, and another friend is really sweet and deserved more air time. Certainly some of the time wasted in the last two episodes could have been better spent wrapping up that subplot more satisfactorily.

When a Little Lie spirals out of Control

9/10 is my rating. This is a 2011 South Korean t.v. drama with 16, 60 minute episodes. Gong Ah-jung (Yoon Eun-hye) is a dedicated civil servant who worked hard to work in her career with the hopes of impressing and gaining the attention of her first love. Before Ah-jung can enact her romantic plan her seeming friend steals her guy and marries him. Flash forward a few years and Ah-jung has maintained contact with this frenemy but is determined to get revenge. Still unmarried she chooses to lie about her status and says she is married. The lie snowballs through the gossip chain until it transforms into she is secretly married to the most eligible bachelor in Korea, wealthy hotel heir, Hyun Ki-joon (Kang Ji-Hwang). Ki-Joon is none too happy with the lie and is determined to exact his own revenge. Hilarity and heartbreak ensue amongst plots, revenge, romance, and love triangles.

Spoiler 🚨 There were some slow parts as well as some parts where I felt sheer frustration with the female lead. The romances were believable and the plot held together well. I recommend this highly but warn there are some slow spots.

Watched it for the kiss scenes

All and all this was a cute watch. But that was pretty much it. The main leads did a good enough job in their roles and provided some good chemistry and some lovely romantic scenes. That said, there wasn't enough of a plot to sustain this drama for 16 episodes. If you solve the characters' main problem, then what is left to progress the story further?

The drama also changed the writer mid-way and you can really tell that the characters slightly changed personalities, making them seem sorta bipolar if you're not aware of the change. This also hurt the side characters, judging how they simply got forgotten, making the flow of the story seem inconsistent and messy.

If you like the rich man/poor woman romantic comedy trope with plenty of fluff, somewhat cheesy to the point of cringing, then this drama is for you. Sometimes you just want to see some happy couple scenes and that's something this drama provides.

Lie To Me (2011) - this drama is still one of the best romcom dramas though it was aired so long ago, year 2011. This is one of my watched drama when I was still a beginner in the Korean drama world. I really felt the romance and chemistry of the leads in the drama. It has a lot of funny parts that I found myself laughing again and again since I rewatched this before. I would still recommend this drama even nowadays especially to beginners. It has that magical feel into it, especially to those who are diving into the Korean drama realm. Worth the time.
