If you're having any doubts about picking this up because of the lack of 'romance' tag or the synopsis or just anything, please throw all those doubts out of the window and watch this right now! I don't generally watch non-romance dramas, and I'm not a big fan of office politics or just politics in general, but I LOVED this! And believe me, so will you.
The words corporate politics put me read more off for a while, but then I finally picked this drama because of Gung Min. I wasn't familiar with any of the other cast. Now I can't believe I was about to pass this gem off!
Here are few of the reasons why I loved Chief Kim-

-Sometimes, it doesn't require an unique plotline to make a successful drama, but what matters is it's execution. A group of people fighting against the corruption in their organisation might not seem like anything new, but Chief Kim is executed brilliantly. Not to mention, hilariously.
-I feel like, with the given plot, there could have been a lot of crazy misunderstandings, what with him being a bad person at the beginning. But the writer chose to deal with that fact in a straightforward manner, instead of going round and round in circles. I'm really thankful for that because it made it way more enjoyable.
-I really enjoyed the pacing of this show. In a typical kdrama, things go well in the start, and then around the last 5-6 episodes, everything goes wrong horribly which doesn't get resolved until the last episode. But I felt that wasn't the case with this drama. The pacing was a bit more consistent. Good and bad happened throughout the drama, not at any specific timings/ episode.
- I legit loved every interactions between every characters in the drama. Whether it may be Chief Kim & Seo Yul, Seo Yul & Ha Gyeong, Chief Kim & Myeong Su, Chief Kim & Ga Eun and any many others, each one was immensely enjoyable.
-I'm a big fan of bromances. Well, who isn't, right? The main lead, Chief Kim, is surrounded by a lot of guys. There are number of bromances going on simultaneously. My personal favorite being TQ's Psycho & Gluttonous Sociopath. They are just sooo cute!
-The chemistry between the characters is really good. Not just with the leading characters, but also between the supporting characters.
-There might not be any romance, but you can still ship two particular characters (I'm not saying who), I know I did.
-The comedy is SPOT-ON. This drama might not keep you on the edge of your seat, but it sure will have you falling off off it- with laughter!
-Last but not the least; watch out for the some drama scenes parodies. I loved them, and I'm sure you'll too. I'm not going to say which dramas, 'cause that'll spoil the fun, but they were pretty popular ones.
I'd like to end the review by saying that I'm not a drama re-watcher, but I'd gladly re-watch any episode of Chief Kim any-day! So please, give this a chance!
Happy Watching!

There is only one word that could describe this drama perfectly. That is 'Awesomazing'. And I'm not lying at all. From the A to the Z it is the most funny, dramatic and almost realistic drama I saw.
Not just in Korean but in English, Hindi or in Bangla this is by far the most funniest drama I had seen ever. Ever.

The cast is Perfect. I don't think anyone could had read more done those characters more justice then people who played them. Nam Gung Min is the funniest actor, I know. Than there is Lee Jun Ho with him. And it's just perfection on it's own.

The story is amazing. I'm not going to say anything about it except that you will love every single second of it. You will love, scream and cry (for all the good reason). In the end you will just wish if there was more, more and more.
Funny & crazy lead. Smart women characters. An antagonist that you will love. A corruption story told with the right balance of comedy. And with a few lessons for life (Don't do corruption).

The bromance. You are probably hearing a lot about the Chief Kim & Director Seo's bromance. And none of the things are a lie. If you thought Goblin & Grim Reaper's ( From "Goblin" ) bromance was epic. Than this one is a step farther.
Every time they were together, there was Bang bang bang. Every line, every scene, every time their eyes meet...there was Bang.
This is the most romance I have ever seen in a bromance. And there are kisses. Yes, kiss but in plural.

The music. The songs are amazing. Beautiful and light goes perfectly with the story and the scenes. You will be humming them all the time.

I am so going to re-watch this. Actually I'm already re-watching it.

So if you think 'Ah, it doesn't has romance in it. It probably isn't good.' Than I will like to tell you, You are so wrong. It does has romance in it. Just not a bucket full of it. But the story, cast, music, the bromance, comedy everything else makes up for it.
It's an amazing drama not to mention hilarious. One of the best of 2017.

So watch it. Watch it. Watch it.

Chief Kim and Modern Farmer, both have a big ensemble cast that you can't help but love each and every character! Their main theme is comedy and there's a lot of it (but they don't have the same kind of humor imo)

This was by far the best show I've seen this year. Chief Kim is the best! Haven't laughed so much in a long long time, my family thought I was going crazy. I'm so glad I actually watched it instead of passing it up due to there not being any romance. Nam Gung Min and Lee Jun Ho get mad RESPECT for their acting! 10/10

I still have two episodes left to watch but I still had to comment because I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS DRAMA. Seriously, the cast is just amazing, all the characters found their way into my heart, especially our TQ psycho and gluttonous sociopath! This show just brings so much excitement and laughter, you really have to give it a chance! I'll write a more deserving comment after finishing it.

I love the cast and originally watched for them but I didn't expect it to be extremely good. I finished in one sitting without growing tired of anything. 11/10

I wished someone would've improved their makeup. Their thick grayish foundation that doesn't blend down to their face or neck and also their thick eyebrows... Both men and women even have the exact same makeup look. Lol. Everyone looks like they've had cement plastered on their faces before entering the set. XD

This drama is hilarious and even though i had expectations for a little romance in between, it didn't bother me at all because there was the ''bromance'' of Chief Kim and Director Seo !!!!!!
