Yan Da Feng (Lan Cheng Long) is a rich, arrogant, and hot tempered bad boy who refuses to honor his grandfather's wish to marry an ordinary country girl, Xie Fu An (Chen Qiao En), who is studying herbal remedies with her grandmother. To get out of the marriage, he hires a killer to get rid of her.

Xie Fu An is a hardworking girl who supports her sick grandmother and young brother. read moreOne day she runs into a young man who is looking for a rare cinnamon found in their area, but this is a very protected cinnamon, and therefore she tricks him into falling into quicksand to give him retribution. Unfortunately for her though, she ends up falling in as well! This young man, named Yan Da Feng, quite resembles her grandfather Wang Cai. Yan Da Feng even ends up stealing Fu An's first kiss! Fu An's day manages to get much worse. The thieves that regularly steal the rare cinnamon from their mountain end up setting her house on fire, and her grandmother dies in the fire. All that Fu An can share with her brother now is the watch her grandfather Wang Cai gave to her grandmother, and the promise that he would come back to her one day. // source: crunchyroll

I really don't understand the review done by Arianya6 b/c I thought this was a really good drama that did not lag in story at all. I liked the pace of story and emotion all the way through. I really liked Chen Joe's (Xie Fu An) acting in this drama. I have watched other drama's that she has done and I think this role suited her best. I really liked how Lan read more Cheng Long (Yan Da Feng) displayed his characters emotions. He can really play evil but sweet. Neways this is on my FAVE list even though I can only post 4 here. I will be watching more Lan Cheng Long and Chiu Roy (Han Dong Jie) who r oh so smokin' hot. I really enjoyed this drama and will watch it again.

From the first episode you can guess what happens up to the end. Sure, there a few twists and turns as with most dramas but nothing to get to excited about. I was frustrated with the main male character though. Sure, most dramas have the male lead do some pretty despicable things and as a person he turns out better in the end and all is forgiven. However, I felt that the read more main male lead went way over the line, and did some things that could never ever... let me put some emphasis that... EVER, be forgiven. The reason I gave this story a 6 (and not lower) was because the main female character was good. She was naive, but not to the point where I wanted to reach into the tv and smack her.

Although Easy Fortune Happy Life is alot more cheesy than Goong, to me, they both have the same feel to them.
-For money, the rich men marry the innocent girl.
-Men have a girlfriend on the side.

He did not hire a killer to get rid of her, that is very misleading. He was very good in this and I liked it a lot. I have watched it at least 4 times.

Hmm main lead guy attempts to kill main lead girl??Watt?? Tbh I'm a bit intrigued though cause I've seen a lot of main girl leads forgive main guy leads for a lot of stuff in dramaland but not their own attempted murder lol. I think Imma give it a try I want to see if she actually forgives hm

Does she forgive him for trying to kill her and then they have a relationship? That would be insane.

The only redeemable quality about this series is Roy Chiu's existence. I have my on and off love/hate relationships with Taiwanese dramas, but I'll admit, his character was very likable. Too bad the better man always ends up being the second lead. *forever second lead syndrome*

Why does Viki have 25 episodes & MDL say it's only 17?
Are the ones on Viki spilt in half? or is it really 25episodes long?

I see the problem-the episodes were originally 1 hr and 10 minutes, the episode length is wrong not the amount. Netflix and viki shortened the episodes and increased the number, I submitted the proper duration :)
