First of all, let me say that I don't like vampires. They're not my thing. Still, I decided to give this show a chance. The good thing about this show is that the episodes go by quickly. It'd be hard to get bored during each episode, and there are only 12 episodes so the season is over before you know it.

Vampire Prosecutor is like CSI/Law & Order. Each episode deals with read more a different and interesting case that is brought to resolution by the end of each episode. Some of the cases/suspects are hilarious. Despite each episode being a different murder case, there is an overarching storyline (of the paranormal kind) that continues throughout the season, which you get snippets of in each episode.

The vampire aspects of this show aren't THAT extensive, really. They're there, but don't overpower the show. He does have the benefit of certain vampy powers, but the team still needs good ol' normal crime solving power.

Like someone else said, there is a LITTLE bit of romance. It is in no way the main storyline. It's like a bonus crumb, and very understated, which I usually hate, but I found really satisfying in this show.

The cast was amazing. I loved the main cast. The actors/actresses who played the criminals did an amazing job, too. I was efficiently creeped out, angered, sympathetic, etc.

I'll be honest and say I don't remember much music. I remember one song with words, and I liked it. I heard it twice, I think. The other song was instrumental and I heard it once at a poignant moment.

I'd definitely watch this show again. I can't wait for Season 2.

This drama is really worth sinking your teeth into it -it's so good! It is inherently an investigative procedural with a supernatural twist that doesn't make you cringe because you may have a what the heck was those fx effects for. With each episodes the writers peels away layers of the story to ultimately reveal motives of the human heart. Our leading man Yun Jung Hoon in the role of prosecutor Min read more Tae Yeon uses his Vampiric prowess to solve violent crimes and I have to say that his portrayal his just perfect if you can look away of the eyeliner that in my opinion is just put a little to excess. The truth is in the blood--a taste of a victim's blood shows him glimpses of the last moments before death. Thrilling, sympathetic and so fresh--this show is a pleasure to watch. The biggest mystery surrounds Prosecutor Min Tae Yoon, tragic past in tow, who was turned into a Vampire under murky circumstances by an unknown sire. We're given juicy tidbits of clues along the way, and episodes are getting more interesting as characters continue to develop and the story gains depth. Top ratings for this innovative new drama--one of the best I've seen. A big reveal in EP 11...what a twist! And season 2 is being strongly considered right now. My only complaint and just because of that I did not give the drama a 10 is Lee Young Ah as Yoo Jung In the daughter of a mafia leader ( reveal in ep 10) who to escape her upbringing decided to live for the law. I don't really know how to get along with her characters , her acting seems force and her action rash, it seems to me like the writers don't really know what to do with her characters. Other than that nothing much to say now.

Vampire Detective is Vampire Prosecutor's dongsaeng. There are two seasons of Vampire Prosecutor that played on OCN. Everyone wants VP3, but that isn't going to happen. The vamp is a prosecutor who uses his abilities to help him solve crimes. There is a lot of bromance between him and the police detective on his team and a hint of romance with his junior prosecutor. In addition to the Crime of the Week, he's busy tracking down the big bad. It has a similar type of humor as Vampire Detective, but the prosecutor already knows he is a vamp, so you avoid the problems of self-discovery that Vampire Detective is showing (that is, there is a wanton lack of self-discovery so far!).

Both are about a man using his supernatural abilities to solve cases. In Cheo yong, it's a detective whereas in Vampire Prosecutor ... well it's obviously a prosecutor. Both are short dramas ( 12 episodes for VP and with a second season).

This is Vampire CSI with less tech. Chaotic first two episodes, awful directing. No character background, episodic season. Its a ok show, but it doesnt deserve this score compared to other shows out there. If you dislike episodic shows i recommend you to skip this, if you dont mind that then this is must watch.

If you can get through the first couple of episodes you start to love the show. Enjoyed the slow motion effects when Min Tae Yeon uses his vampiric powers and I just enjoyed his character in general (I have a thing for the broody types). There is humor in this but just barely. The only problem i had was the leading lady's character. Okay, I understand and love the fact that they felt the need to include a tough/independent woman but how they portrayed her was awful and (sorry if you loved her) very irritating. At times she was fun and cute, but then there were moments that just irked me.

I really enjoyed watching this drama because the cases are really interesting and unpredictable. However, I think they should try and improve the cinematography. I had a hard time following the stories. The plot is pretty messy and all over the place.I enjoyed the humor between the prosecutor min and the detective. Their bromance is so fluffy and cute. Also, good plot twist. Totally did not see that coming. Anyways, all in all it's still pretty fun although I still have a lot of questions and I am hoping season 2 will answer them.

who the hell did the camera work for this? i know some of its genres are action and crime but that doesn't mean you have to shake the camera the whole way through the drama! And what the hell is it with this drama changing the camera angle every second or so; it doesn't make the drama anymore artistic or better it just ends up giving me a headache and annoying the hell out of me.
also, the first episode was all over the place, i don't think it was as captivating as it could have been, they just threw as much chaos as they could into one episode; luckily they do a better job of this further on (though i've only watched three episodes to far so i'm only basing it on them).

Some objective opinion? I watched the first ep. It was chaotic and boring. Does it get better? - in that case, When?

I'm enjoying the series so far, and I'm at episode 6. The cases become really interesting. Objectively speaking, I can see why the first 2 episodes are a little chaotic, but there's definitely flow to it. Especially when you see the "team's" chemistry more. The story is keeping me interested BECAUSE of the crime element to it. I would say try and get past the second episode, but if you can't, then maybe drop it? I really like OCN as a channel, and Bad Guys was awesome. This one is living up to the channel's reputation. I hope you stick through it! The suspense and stories just continue to get better after the second episode.

Thank you! I'll give it a chance. I usually judge dramas after 4 episodes but this drama I dropped after the first one - I have no idea why, it's been a while. I have one more question if you don't mind: I don't like too much romance in these types of drama - I actually like romanceless dramas when it comes to this genre - Isn't there any super relationship story, right?

I dropped it after watching it for 30 seconds about a year ago, and I picked it up again after watching Bad Guys. I definitely don't regret it! It's interesting, kind of reminds me of the show Dexter, with the way blood is portrayed. Nope! This drama has been focusing on the crime/suspense and spending time solving the murder in each episode, alongside the main character's story. I can definitely say so far for the first season, the focus is not on romance but on the supernatural elements within the police/prosecutor joint investigations for crimes. If you have any more questions just let me know, otherwise I hope you enjoy the drama if you end up watching it ^^

    awesome drama!
no need for romance, would ruin it. the amount of supernatural was just right imo, no need for it to be too flashy. just right, a bit stronger than your average human, no need for food (well if you don't count blood), fangs in presence of blood. what else do you really need for a drama that's primarily a detective/law type of drama.
you have murder cases that need to be solved, you have a team that does that and one of the team members is a bit more special (and a lot more cooler and handsome) than the others.
i love this concept, the story, the plot (which is episodic mostly), the characters and the cast that protrayed them, i love even the camera and music. everything just fit perfectly together.
if i have to name something that i mind in this drama then that is the last episode which seemed a bit draggy towards the end, but mostly, for this drama, everything was in right proportions and just perfect!

oh man, im done, i don't know what to say anymore without repeating myself again..
just one more thing, don't go watch it if you expect it to be like vampire diaries or true blood or whatever, there is no romance here and the drama isn't revolved around vampires. it's a detective drama and if you like those, you'll probably like this one too :)

;) Rsrs Muito bom!!!

i can't bring myself to like it, after watching 3 episodes, i'm thinking of dropping it. it's like every episode is a short movie, there is no connection between episodes at all. and i don't like the way the vampire is portrayed, even his power is useless and boring

You have to wait till 4 episode I think. I felt the same way as you, but after 4ep it changed completely. The team is more visible, it's quite funny and episodes are connected to each other

Is it scary?Like american series True Blood? I get scared very easily. Just to get an idea, even Dracula movies with Christofer Lee make me have nightmares.
Almost everyone speaks with good words for both seasons so if does not show anything to getting bitten from any vampire prosecutor or not I want to give it a try.

NYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I'm glad I touched this series. Way to go. Couldn't believe it when Jung Hoon said in an interview that this is Korea's first vampire drama. But if it is indeed true, then thumbs up for you all because I think it's a great introduction to one. So much sexiness from Jung Hoon I can't stand *__* I can stare at him all day long *__* Anywho, season 2, here I come! <333333333
