How about a K-drama with Lee Sung Kyung and Seo In Guk as leads?
On September 1st, several media outlets revealed that Lee Sung Kyung and Seo In Guk will be joining forces to create the K-drama In Your Brilliant Season.
Lee Sung Kyung's agency YG Entertainment shared their statement through the media outlet OSEN. According to the agency. "It is true that Lee Sung Kyung got the proposal to lead the new series. She is still reviewing the offer and nothing has been decided yet."
Seo In Guk's agency Story J Company also expressed their official position regarding the casting news. The agency stated, "Seo In Guk did receive the offer and is currently considering it."
Reports stated that the K-drama was first offered to Han Hyo Joo. With the reports of the new leads, it seems like casting Han Hyo Joo fell through.
In Your Brilliant Season will tell the story of a man who lost his memory and hearing in an accident and a woman who is like a savior to him. Both Seo In Guk and Lee Sung Kyung got the offer to play the role of the main lead.
There are no official announcements yet on the broadcast date and channel of In Your Brilliant Season.
Lee Sung Kyung starred in two K-dramas this year. She led the Disney+ K-drama Call It Love and she also returned to the new season of Dr. Romantic Season 3. If Lee Sung Kyung joins In Your Brilliant Season, this will be her follow-up K-drama project.
If Seo In Guk confirms his casting, this will be his fourth upcoming K-drama. The actor is currently filming for the upcoming TVING K-drama Death's Game with Park So Dam, Go Youn Jung, Kim Ji Hoon, Nam Kyung Eup, Kim Jae Wook, and more.
