FLUFF!!

I think we could replay the squee moments from this episode several times over without it getting dull. I love seeing Soon Shin so happy, and embracing acting as something she really wants to do.

And of course, since I'm in it for the fluff, I was super excited for the "save her from the errant biker" moment. After she went all aegyo, giving a fake acceptance speech. Omo. SQUEES!

Thank you, director. ^_^

OMFGGG

What was that episode ?? So Jisook is the real Hye Jin's mother... I did not expect this. What I understand was that Jisook was raped when she was younger and then she ended up giving birth to Hye Jin. She started to hate Hye Jin and think she was a monster. The true is that she was raped by a monster, so Hye Jin was a daughter of a monster and became a monster too in Jisook's head. Jisook's mother protect her daughter hiding the secret. Now, who raped Jisook ?? Probably the old man that is also Hye Jin's father, who also raped Ga Yoon's mother. This guy is sick!! Talking about sick people, that ajhussi is a psyco too. I dont believe he's Hye Jin killer but he was sooooo obsessed with her. He started making drugs to make people happy, probably because he's a very sad and disturbed person. He believes that his drugs would make people happy.. the true is the he's a serial killer, he's killing people, not helping them. Ah, about Ga Yoon's death was really sad, I didnt like her but I was sorry for her. Now her mother decided to tell the true about the raped.... seriously?? And also, now Jisook's mother decides to talk... like??? Well.. next week this drama will end and who is gonna be Hye Jin's killer??? I'm reallyyy excited, i've been enjoying this drama so much.

Did she really do that?

Did she really have to wear the bra to prove its not her size?

well, that escalated quickly

What the hell? Thus episode was a bit of a mess. There are some questions that need to be answered: What's wrong with Su Yeong? Does she have some illness? Why else did she forget what she did or didn't (I am not sure if she's actually the culprit)? And why do her mother and Dong Su behave as if this wasn't the first time that something like this happened? Is she schizophrenic or something? And why did Dong Su attack Mu Yeol? Why are all people in this drama suddenly going berserk? I honestly want to know what's the matter.

Honestly .. right now the only thing I am looking forward to are the scenes wih Dong Ah and manaer Kim. I loe their adorkablenes.

Hello.

The first episode doesn't appeal much to me, I think there's nothing much to brag about this episode except for the fact that this drama started quite good, it doesn't have that typical fantasy storyline that other dramas would do.

At first I was annoyed by Mi Ru too, like frying the watch, seriously?? She's so insecure and the drama itself seems to be a bit twisting, I kept guessing most of the time and all the guesses went wrong. This drama definitely has a strong potential, I loved it that way.

I watched episode 2 already, so I'm going to write another review next :) Na Mi Ru jjang!

Spoiled Glutton

Only on episode 2, but I must say I find the main character, Meiko, to be a spoiled glutton. Her father owns a Western-type restaurant, so she's much better off than most during the period, and yet she steals food, not because she's hungry, but because she's greedy.

Meiko's mother punishes her and yet the grandmother indulges the child's greed. The lack of discipline is throwing off my pleasure for this drama, but I will continue hoping this child will soon learn the error of her ways. The opening of episode 1 gives me hope.

Gong Yoo is being cute again

It is fun watching Yoo be his adorkable self for yet another character but can some one please pay attention to the weird things in this episode.

First the Head Teacher saying that it is OK for a teacher to fall in love with a student, what matters is the love between a man and a woman, age be damned!!

Also Gong Yoo wanted to look at his mom in sexy summer clothes instead of patient clothes!! Seriously writers I know you want to give the characters depth but you really are scraping at the bottom of the barrel here!!!

Also first the forehead kiss in front of Gong Yoo then the first kiss in front of him!!!! Seriously!!!

And again with the oddly serious things shoved into the show, first a dying sibling and now murder!!!!! Seriously!!!

Episode 2

Married....And Humiliated

1. Huan Er (this is a fake identity, remember) marries Shi Wu Ji by proxy/Second Master marries her as a rep for his eldest brother--who happens to be in the area but i suppose he wants to make sure his family understands that this is purely about business...the revenge business :O

2.Shi Wu Ji gets hammered (in a scene that is rarely seen in dramas,he does not pour his drink into the little cup but just drinks the alcohol straight from the spout) and with a cold, bordering on sneering expression he confides to second master that he has absolutely no desire to consummate this marriage

3.Always wise, second master suggests that he just pretend she is a prostitute :O

4.Looking unattractive Shi Wu Ji stumbles in and collapses on the bed. Annoyed, Huan Er dumps a bowl of water on him and not only does this wake him up, but our hero lashes out at her, picks her up (she's quite tiny compared to him) and sort of shakes her a little and asks her what is the matter with her/she doesn't take this passively she yells right back and then it looks like he might get physical but our hero wouldn't sink so low, he instead leaves

---hero knows she is a fake because Dr Len tells him, after she begs him not to--

5.Now married, they return home. Sadly, she waits for her family to see her off (she really wants to see her dad) and he does not come--Second Master is the most empathetic while first master looks both gloomy and angry (his usual expression)

6.She and her new sister in law are in the carriage--and she throws up a lot during this journey--I feel bad for her but it is pretty funny and a rare scene from a drama where the female character is a bit more human

7.She goes to this cliff looking all isolated and lonely, and it looks like she might jump but instead she promises Huan Er (the one who died, apparently) that she will live well (although I wonder if Huan Er will pop up again and try to take back what should have been hers)

8.Hero and Second master watch this--potential love interests?

9.They stay at an inn and some guy who wants to impress the sister-in-law hires some ninjas to attack only the ninjas go overboard and start getting really violent and the hero and family fight back--there is a wicked funny scene in which our leading lady fights back with a chair--proving again she can hold her own--she gets cut across the back defending sister in law and hero applies medicine--emphatic that he must be the one--

I really, really like this show. I can tell it is going to be excellent. The acting is good, the plot is interesting, and nothing feels contrived or fake. The actors have good chemistry. It has a few campy scenes, like when they disguise themselves as ghosts to get info but that was about a minute long, so I can live with it.

I expected more

It is funny how the proverbial s**t has hit the fan and the major male leads are having an intellectual discussion. Even when interrogating the perpetrators brother the brain team just rip him to shreds with their hypothesis I had a big smile on my face. Oh the burden that the intellectually gifted have to bear talking down to regular folks...sigh!

This episode Ji Ah could have shined, but even when she acted in the right way she subconsciously was second guessing wondering if Lee Hyeon would do. Granted she is brave but that is it, she can't fight, she is not smart, suave or confident. She just disappoints every time. She even shows signs of PTSD which is believable but disappointing for the strong female lead I was hoping she would be, the kind that would let nothing or no one phase her.

I see how the show is trying to justify Min's actions with this episode, but I'm not buying it. I suspect that he has something to do with dear old mom's death too.

Also Lee Hyeon had fish eyes during the kiss!!!

Cluedo

It's official: I'm stupid.

Basically, I've understood nothing of this episode, except:

1. We are finally out of a flashback that lasted 3 episodes and a half.

2. Grey bearded, wrinkled fogeys in hanbok will never win a word battle against young scholars. Because these last are prettier.

3. While severing enemies heads and happily basking in bloody battles, Ddol Bok found the time to learn how to write

4. Korean eat seal penis (???)

5. There's a corpse in the library, but the murderer wasn't Professor Plum with the candlestick.
