absolutely breathtaking
oh. my. god.i don't think i can even put into words how much i adored this.
despite its flaws, this show is going down as one of the best i've ever gotten to see, just because of everything that it made me feel. i can't get over how wonderfully, beautifully human it is. this community felt real. the characters were everyday people who make mistakes and love each other and struggle with grief and cherish life together. the attention to detail, the finding of joy in the little things, the kindness and support between characters despite facing difficulties - it made my heart feel as if it were GLOWING nearly every minute. this is what it's all about. this is all it will ever be about. I AM CRYING OVER A BOWL OF CHICKEN RICE. AND I NEVER CRY ABOUT ANYTHING
what's the plot? well - it's hard to say. it's a slice of life, and what a well-rounded, balanced, and delightful slice it was. i will agree with other reviewers that the main couple didn't catch my attention as much as everyone else did, and i think they could have shown more growth. i didn't really feel like i fully learned why they liked each other. but i still ended up caring about them than i expected, and the show is not really about them, anyway. there are intricate relationships between all the characters and i think many complex topics were handled well here. at the core, it's about understanding each other. my main complaint would be that there were a few occasions where it felt like the same conversations were being rehashed and characters weren't moving forward as i would expect, but that was far from fully ruining anything. except jim never saying "i love you" back to li ming. a daylight robbery. (and earth is a bit young for his role - but he still did a great job.)
the characters were of course at the heart of it all, and what amazing characters they were. i don't think a single one felt flat (except maybe beam...) and that in itself is a triumph. i enjoyed them all in different ways, but li ming and gaipa stole it for me. fourth and khaotung were absolutely phenomenal and didn't miss a single beat. li ming was the perfect moody teenager with a soft side and gaipa was such a truly sweet soul who has endured so much and i need all the good things in the world for both of them. where's my alangaipa spinoff?
lastly, this show, despite taking place in a chinatown, is so incredibly grounded in being thai. what a gorgeous showcase of the environment, food, culture, community life - i was genuinely entranced. i wish more dramas would do this. everywhere i looked there was something to appreciate. not to mention, whoever did the cinematography for this show did a fantastic job of highlighting the beauty of the environment and the actors. the composition, coloring, and framing were all on point.
skillfully directed, well acted, artistically shot, a story both poignant and charming, this drama really has it all. whew!

An honest look
This drama shows relationships in a realistic light. The confusion, the happiness, the panic and the fear mixed with the sadnesshighlights the bond that the two protagonists share. They are both musically gifted as well so the music enhances the bond.
There is familial history which is never made clear, but the psychological scars are explained but not thoroughly. It leaves viewers with questions. Altogether a pleasant drama with to watch with great music to listen to… I watched it twice mainly because of the pleasing story ,music, and character development.

Puppy Love with Good Looking Leads
I decided to give it a try despite being skeptical. The first episode was ok, I wasn't sure if I should continue but by the third episode I thought it was good enough to keep watching. It is a light romantic comedy so far, the leads are cute and SOOOO good looking. I saw the ML in Rookie Historian and wasn't thrilled with his character or the acting. His character in this KDrama really grows on you, he's not weak or too nice. He's a reserved guy who is cautious with people and more so with dogs which is a disadvantage for our adorable FL. I thought the development of the relationship between the FL and ML felt like a slow burn even though he is clearly smitten by her after four episodes. There's also a hint of their previous fate and destiny in their previous lives which might give more context to why they are drawn to each other in their present lives. Maybe its me but there were moments between them that gives you butterflies such as the umbrella and elevator scenes. I'm rooting for their relationship and can't wait for the FL to realize her feelings for the ML. I wish they didn't delay the episodes as it is has been a bit of a wait between them. Was this review helpful to you?
Blank Stare
I don't really know how to review this without giving away everything. There isn't much of a story, once the basic plot is revealed (in the first and second episodes) it's pretty obvious what will happen. So without spoilers, the acting was not good.Or the director made horrible choices and the actors did what he told them. No way to know for sure. Rak, one of the MLs was so blank that he looked stupid. Honestly, minus one or two scenes where he cried and once when he laughed, he just stared blankly at everyone around him all the time. No matter the situation, he just stared. He didn't speak, there wasn't any reason for the blank stares with no dialogue, it was just ... bad. I think the intention was meant to be that he looked innocent and didn't have any kind of bad intention but it just came off as him being too stupid to understand or not having any kind of personality.
There wasn't much chemistry between the two MLs. Mostly because Rak always looked like he had no idea what was happening. There was one exception to his weird face blankness, just before the first NC scene (I wouldn't call it NC really, but I guess the first sexy scene) between the two, Rak actually does not have a blank face. For this one, he looks like he totally knows what is going to happen and is anticipating. This leads me to believe that the director was the problem, not the actor, but I can't be sure. Another weirdness was that Dino, the other ML, seemed to need constant reassurance during the sexy moments. He kept asking how he was doing. I don't know about everyone else, but in my experience, if you're asking while you're doing, you're expending too much energy on the wrong things. Focus is important. I found that strange, but not bad. As far as Rak's reaction, "Dino is the best" with an almost comically wide eyed stare, was the best he could do, but the scene wasn't sexy, it was distracting and cringy. Later Dino was kissing him with so much tongue, it just made me want to wash my face.
Seekram (Rak's ex best friend) was creepy to say the least, but I'm not sure if that was bad acting or just poor directorial choices. Mek (the ex-boyfriend) was just a loser, but not necessarily a bad actor. In fact, Seekram and Mek weren't awesome, but they weren't terrible at their parts. None of the support roles were as weird as the main roles. The guest roles were plentiful. Seriously, they found people from a lot of BLs to come and be on screen for a few minutes without having much to say or anything to the story. Just cameos, I guess. Not really sure why they opted for that. To draw attention to the show? Who knows. Anyway, the story wasn't all that great and sometimes the acting was just cringe, so the show didn't really hit well for me. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good.
The story is so predictable as to be boring and the jokes were too obvious to be funny. The OST was decent, but I never put too much weight into the music. Because of the predictability and lack of plot outside of the romance, this show has low rewatch value. If you like just a fluffy love story with not a lot of acting ability, this one is for you. I heard some of the support roles will have shows of their own, and I'm interested to see if they are any better than this one.

I started this drama off a reccomendation and I'm glad that I gave it the watch. While I find some dramas can get a little wishy-washy towards the middle, this one is able to pick up the pieces quickly and get you back on track. Even after the few episodes that weren't on the great side, the ending and overall conclusion made sense and was incredibly worth it. I also started this drama after watching Daily Dose of Sunshine and knew I would have to watch this one because of Park Bo Young. Her acting captured me in DDoS and in this one she's just as incredible. I love the way that she brings life and character to these written characters. She truly brings them to life and pulls off some of the best acting I have seen. I'm going to continue checking out a lot of her work. The ML also caught my eye and I loved the contrast between Myeol Mang vs. Kim Sa-Ram at the end of the drama. He brought such a personality to Doom and I couldn't get enough of the scenes with him and Dong Kyung.
You also can never get enough Lee Soo Hyuk. I've loved him since I watched him in Tomorrow and I hope that he is in more dramas to come. I love his acting so much and I really loved his character in this drama. While he is a background character, he adds a lot of little moments and towards the middle becomes more prominent as his story his portrayed. I was rooting for him the entire time and was glad to see that his story ended well like the main lead's.
Had me hooked from the beginning with the concept of the story and the acting. It never once made me lose my interest or feel the need to skip ahead. As I mentioned before, towards the middle/close end it gets a little rough, but once you stick it out and make it through... it's worth it!

disappointing drama
this series had the potential to be an engaging series with an interesting storyline. However, it falls short of expectations in several way. One of the most glaring issues with the drama is the portrayal of the female lead. Her acting comes across as terrible and annoying, which is unfortunate, as any drama's success heavily relies on its cast's performance. The character she plays is overly cutesy, and her two pigtails seem completely out of place. The actress's inability to bring depth and authenticity to her role makes it hard to connect with the character and invest in her journey. Another thing is the lack of a well-constructed storyline. The plot lacks direction and cohesion, leaving me feeling lost and disconnected from the narrative. The story fails to provide a clear sense of purpose or direction, making it challenging to become emotionally invested in the characters' fates. By episode 7, it became evident that there was no redeeming quality in the story or characters, which ultimately led me to drop the series. Was this review helpful to you?
A drama similar to WH SECRETARY KIM, but not as good
It was ok, i enjoyed watching...STORY - the positive reasons of the drama are others than the plot. The story is similar to other dramas. Side stories not very interesting...
And hard working girl and a rich good man meet and...
CAST- good job of the main actors.
MUSIC - i liked one song. Do not remember the others...
REWATCH - do not think so.... Maybe one or two scenes. I prefer rewatching better dramas with similar plots.
OVERALL - i enjoyed watching. Did not liked the end very much, especially the job decisions of the FL. Did not enjoy the unemployed golfer husband... Or the story of ML's Mother and the take smiles...

I Feel You Linger in the Air: Uncut Version

The boy who Lingered a bit to long in the air
This is one of those dramas that had me wondering what is it I am missing here... Why are people rating this with a 10 star rating when literally nothing what so ever makes sense. As I spent half the drama wondering when the leads will get shot with a shot gun and if they have any type of risk assessment skills what so ever... Or I don´t know awareness of the time they lived in, as both leads in 1928 acted as if it was 2028... The acting is 1/2 cringe 1/2 decent. The pacing is off and it feels like they filmed half of the drama in slow motion just so they could stretch the time and get more for their money... making it draggy as ****But if you can look passed that, the romance is decent, the skinship pretty and both boys had indeed worked quite a bit on their upper bodies whom they show us more or less every episode or so...The side stories of the lesbian couple, the house slaves/staff and the second wife are a lot more interesting than the time traveling dude.
There is also a really cute pig in this. Not really a drama I recommend, but it did have it's moments and apparently others call it a masterpiece so if you do not mind the cons I mentioned go for it... I hope you have a better time than I did.

Really good acting and music
Story: Especially at the beginning, some parts of the story are being thrown at you, but it does get better throughout. Honestly, some parts were confusing, mainly because they introduce characters by name before you see what the character looks like or their personality (but could also be translation errors). The dynamics between the characters are very well-written, and although some misunderstandings change the course of their relationship they end up working it out eventually. Also made me realize how psychologically torturing being an assassin is.Acting: Exceptional especially for the antagonist and protagonist but honestly every actor/actress did amazing, including the parts where the characters are desperate and suffering. You can feel the emotion in their voice. Even when there isn't anything verbal going on. In particular, the main characters' facial expressions and how they move still give the scene weight to it.
Music: A lot of the OST music I would listen to on repeat, particularly the intro song. And I know a lot of people love it for the same reasons I do. It fits the relationships between the characters in the story and the cadence of the singer really describes the emotion of the song. They do milk it a lot in the episodes but it is a moving song so, it's not as annoying as you would think..
Rewatch: I generally don't rewatch shows unless they are amazing shows/mystery genre. I feel like this show is a one-and-done situation, but I did enjoy it while it lasted.
TLDR; Story is a bit confusing at first but it flows throughout the show. Acting is phenomenal and is amazing a portraying emotion even when they aren't talking. Music is beautiful and melancholy. Most likely won't rewatch it, but it was an interesting experience.

(Update after first rewatch 11/8/2023): This is a very good romantic comedy. The leading actors had good chemistry and, Zhu Ya Wen (as Zheng Chu), made this series worth watching. Zheng Chu (played by Zhu Ya Wen) comes out as an aloof and childish man whose character throughout the drama remains faithful to his overall persona: a loyal friend, familial stronghold, and a wonderful caring and steadfast lover with an incredible sense of humor. On the other hand, there is the leading lady, Su Mang (played by Wang Li Kung) that comes out as a domineering tigress but has a heart of gold and equally loyal and steadfast toward her loved ones. The drama lost one star because, at the end, there was a tragic twist to one of the supporting characters that was completely unnecessary to use just for the sake of the selfish, conniving, and insufferable Chen Shan Shan (played by Ma Qiu Zi). Overall, although I am not satisfied with some side storylines, this drama is well written for the leading couple with great bantering, slow burned but beautiful love story, and a very good ending. Enjoy it!Original review: This is a good romantic comedy. The leading actors had good chemistry and, Zhu Ya Wen (as Zheng Chu), made this series worth watching. Not quite there...
The drama had one of the worst introductions out there. You can never expect anyone to be interested after watching the first 4 episodes. As if they were purposefully made to push viewers away. Anyway, the drama had some brilliant and creative moments at times but all of that was overshadowed by the dominant hot garbage moments. You may expect something worse than Oblivion NPC's level of dialogue and directing. All of the three male leads sucked and disappointed. There was a big massive slump between episodes 35-45 that was rough to get through. Villains and ending were meh.Was this review helpful to you?
Ignites Interest in Mental Health/Healing
The portrayal of mental illnesses in the film was remarkably relatable, prompting introspection about my own life, it had a somewhat melancholic tone throughout, but by the end, it left me with a sense of satisfaction and a feeling of healing in my own life as well as finding myself more interested in psychiatry. The chemistry between Jung Da Eun and Dong Go Yoon was cute, but it was not enough. Go Yoon's character had an appealing personality, and he came across as intelligent, charming, very well-spoken, and one of the greenest flags.
The secondary relationship between Hwang Yeo Hwan and Min Deu Lae was also well done, addressing a valid issue and providing a satisfying resolution that would make anyone in the character's shoes feel content and happy.
Overall, my only complaint was that I wished it had been longer, I was deeply attached to all the characters, feeling as if I had lived alongside them in their journey
