Mature Love-Story and Tear Jerker 100%

This series will make you cry, fall in love, and leave you with what if's. The ML and FL are both great actors and well-known in Kdramas. You will find yourself in a serious mood watching this and it has a lasting impact on love and the society we are in. I love the soundtrack, all piano and Billy Joel Piano Man was excellent to be part of this series. Watch this if you want a mature kind of love story that tackles not only a May - December love affair but also achieving your dreams and facing consequences to make things right.

Youthful memory

I’ve been hearing about how good this drama is. It was on my watchlist but never really had the chance to watch it til Monday this week during my day off. I literally binged it.
I love it! The story. Chemistry. Family. Conflict. And the perseverance.
I don't really know how to explain it but this drama is very inspiring and has good meaning about life.
I'm thankful for the inspiration and motivation for life.
This drama has definitely inspired me to go for it rather than miss the opportunity.
The story about impaired hearing is very inspiring!
The quote that Chan said to Cheo is
“You don't enjoy music with just your ears. Music makes you feel with your eyes, mind and heart.” ep 12.
This drama gave me an open view of people who are struggling. And that we should be thankful for what we have. We're all struggling in life however, there are ways to overcome those difficulties. Ways to make life fun by being positive. Going out. Hanging with friends and family.
Very youthful.
The acting was amazing! I love the cast! I love the 1995 group and the 2023 group. I'm happy I get to see Choi Hyun Wook act as a student again. I miss 25-21!🥹🥹

Thankful for their amazing acting! The way they acted while doing the sign language must be hard! Truly a work of art!
The singing! Guitarist! AHHHH

Disappointing Plot, Frustrating Storyline

What a wasted potential. The acting from actors were great but the frustration I had in the middle of the plot was so serious that I just had to go here to give it a rating to vent it out. I can't believe they wasted so many earlier good episodes only for me to witness the crap of the 20+ episodes.

No proper communication, FL doesn't know how to apologize and she's dragging the issue for way too long, it's deeply frustrating. To think the characters are all working professionals here. FL is mature & great at work, it's not even her first relationship. She came from a 5+ years relationship yet that doesn't show in the story. The BFF is also stupid & overconfident, can't understand why FL listen to her when she doesn't even know how to keep a long-term relationship. So many unnecessary misunderstandings & miscommunications and the introduction of ML's childhood friend to the later story is also unnecessary.

I came here hoping I would learn how to effectively flirt, only to find out later it's showing communication red flags. Only the acting of the actors are carrying the whole show.

A classic 90s showing how pure love can move someone.

Read some reviews here and I guess I have to write a review that is not biased. Some do not like this because they feel the FL Asano Asako is condescending and a cheating character. While the ML they think is too nice and stupid. Now I am going to share how this impacts me. I watch shows that gives an impact in how the actors made me smile and cry. On how the actors show the characters and not act awkwardly. I do not care how realistic the script or story was written..that is why we watcn films because neither of it is true. Watch this film if you want to feel how the ML loved the FL eventhough he is the most stupid person and ugly man that a pretty young career woman could fall in love with. How the FL forgot her old love and realized that all the time it was a different kind of love that she was looking for. If you want to be moved with the old song.."no other love" which perfectly fits how the FL thought she could not love anyone anymore from her dead ex fiancee and finds new love with the ML. Watch this if you believe that people change..and you can learn to love someone.

Love Against the Grain

Production, Acting, Storyline and Cinematic direction was very good. This series was beautifully done in merging the understanding and challenges of worlds, class, status and abilities all in one. The chemistry between the leads was heart tugging at times, yet drew you into the pace and intention of the drama. The OST was good. However, the cinematic attention to detail is really what makes this story shine. The leads were very good in handling and conveying the dynamics of conflict, challenge, compassion and change towards one another. The plot and subplots of trials and challenges didnt feel forced or unrealistic. The storyline had times were it felt as if it may drag a bit. Nevertheless, it didn't veer off too far where it would take away interest. The was definitely worth the watch!

If you love SLICE OF LIFE, Hop On!

With same old cliche; rich Ceo, Contract marriage, childhood trauma and all the other BS going on as always.
This was a breathe of fresh air. There have been others trying the same theme but execution didn't go well.
This went perfect!
Everything Flows naturally, there is no over acting.
I can't even imagine other actor playing the Lead roles. li xian and liu yifei just FIT right.
There is slow burn romance but you know what for this series its okay! there is no forcing in the plots .
All in all as a slice of life lover, this was IT

A K-drama that actually K-drama'ed after a long time!!

Every character is written SO well, and I mean so damn well!! You know an author is good when you can't even hate the "bad" guys and root for the greater good for everyone involved.

Every character, interaction, arc, just everything made sense. It was all intertwined like life often is: and is it NOT easy create such a remarkable story with loveable characters. Kudos to the author fr.

There was not a minute that was boring, I was glued to the screen the entire time wanting to know what happens next. Even the most mundane things were interesting and when the showed the purpose behind every little details.. WOW!!

And not just the story.. the actors, direction, cinematography, music, EVERYTHING HIT!!

Everyone did so well; I laughed with them, cried for them, cheered them on. And I'm still so invested, I can't to find out what happens next. I noticed many elements that they might play on in the next season and I can't wait to tune in!!

A Befitting Sequel to 2022's Sleeper Hit

Disney+ is back with the sequel to its 2022 hit “Soundtrack”. Starring Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee in a “Friends to Lovers” romance, the show was well-received because of its heartfelt story and the natural chemistry between the two stars. “Unrequited Love” seems to be the recurrent theme in this series. Banking on this premise, “Soundtrack #2” stars Geum Sae Rok, Steve Noh and DEMIAN in a surreptitious love triangle that is equal parts exciting and intricate. With Director Kim Hee Won’s return, you can expect great things and honestly, I wasn’t disappointed with the pilot episodes. Despite the short format, the first two episodes weave a somber tale encompassing the main lead’s past affairs and their present trajectory. It is as slow burn as it can be and yet, the characters are so quirky; you can’t help but fall in love instantly.

A Journey to Love is intensely exciting and well worth your viewing time.

A Journey to Love is possibly the Chinese Period Drama Epic for the year 2023. It’s star, Liu Yu Ning (The Long Ballard), seems mostly to get the characters who are the odd man out. If most turn right, his character’s natural inclination is to turn left. This character fits the acting personality of Liu Yu Ning. At 6’2”, Liu Ye Ning has a full presence in each drama scene.

A Journey to Love Wuxia (Chinese Martial Arts Drama) does not have religious overtones. However, this drama does cover virtues or paths. The drama enumerates six and one each of the main characters in this drama embody each attribute.

Help for defining the different paths or virtues.

Liudao Hall was founded by Taizu. It specializes in detective work.

Characters: Yuan Lu, Yu Shisan, Ning Yuan Zhou, Qian Zhao, Sun Lang

The Three Virtue Paths.
1. The Heaven Path encompasses royal security. (Qian Zhao)
2. The Human Path monitors officials. (Sun Lang)
3. Asura Path monitors prostitution. (Yu Shisan)

The Three Evil Paths or Scouts
1. The Hungry Ghost Path are those good at making traps (Yuan Lu)
2. The Animal Path specialize in spying ¥¥¥ Ren Ru Yi / Ren Xin
3. The Hell Path are the assassins. (Ning Yuan Zhou)

There is great cinematography and great use of unique camera angles, which keep the mind busy.

The Story

The women of the Scarlet Guard are from the Animal Path. They do not specifically get intensive training in martial arts. This lack leaves them defenseless at times, when carrying out their duties. However, several do have acute Martial Arts skills, like Ren Ru Yi / Ren Xin (Liu Shi Shi from Sound of the Desert). From where does this come?

Someone amongst the Royals seems to be trying to wipe out this lowly rank, and almost succeeds. However, one escapes. She is exquisitely trained in knife or blade work. Ning Yuan Zhou (Liu Yu Ning) is a clear witted and cunning assassin from the Hell Path. Throw in the very handsome Allen Fang (The Long Ballard) playing a very unusual character named Yu Shi San. This story is intensely charming, complicated and entertaining. A Journey To Love is worth your time commitment.

There is much court intrigue, action, and romance in A Journey To Love. This is an insta-classic.

Too long ! To watch only for the discovery of regions and cultures

PLOT: van trip of a group of 5 young people, from Shanghai to Shangri-La. Everyone has their reasons to go on this journey: FL "thief of 1 painting" following in the footsteps of her painter lost father, ML undercover anti-drug cop, 1 FL2 streamer, an ML2 wanting to launch his travel application, and his assistant (the more or less comical character). But mishaps and dangers multiply on the road.

PROS:
+ very good actors. I really like CL and especially Chen Xiao, remarkable as usual.
+ excellent OST
+ Good highlighting of certain Chinese regions. It's almost a tourist brochure :)

CONS:
- complex, even confusing story, with so many twists that you have to be an idiot to think that they are only coincidences.
- Police not very credible, even undercover.
- Story that drags on: 52 episodes on this, it's WAY too many! The CL only declares their feelings in episode 31!! But we are not entitled to any kisses or skinship. Nada!!
- The FL and the ML separated for 10 episodes continuing their quest each on their own, it's overkill ! The CL is only reconciled in episode 47...
- some misunderstandings could be resolved in 1 sentence... Why drag it out?
- excessive use of flashbacks (all the time, without them adding anything).

=> The 2nd half, I was able to finish only thanks to the FF Button!
************************************************************************************

Nada !!

What Did I Just Watch?

I have no words to describe this drama. I speak with all honestly I don’t know what the heck I just watched. Let me start by saying, don’t waste your time! Get Out of Here it Isn’t Worth It. I personally only really watched the first life. In the second life I got annoyed at the slow and unecessary pace of it all and started skipping through it. To say the least I wish I had just dropped it at the second life. If you think you’re getting a happy ending think again. At least I don’t consider that a happy ending. Also it’s basically just a repetitive story about how the leads can’t be together. I don’t even know, it was a mess!

"Castaway" Diva

Castaway Diva has 'castaway' only in the name. Most of the characters she encounters don't care how she survived on that island all alone. The castaway situation was just reduced into some throw away lines between the characters. Her being a castaway provides nothing to the story after 2 episodes. It becomes completely irrelevant. There is no sign of psychological issues from spending all those years alone in that island. There is no struggle for her to get accustomed to the society. That also was fixed easily through some throw away lines. There is no struggle for her to overcome inorder for her to become a singer. Everyone just accepts that her easily without any conflict no questions asked. If you know anything about korean entertainment industry and media, that's not how that work.

The story was more focused on the ML's story rather than the title character. The main plotline is sidelined by the ML's traumatic home life which was much more interesting than whatever going on with Mok Ha (FL) and Ran Joo (SFL) for sure. But thats where the title of this drama comes in as extremely misleading. Everything here felt so rushed and cut short.
And for there are some extremely good actors playing there characters really fantastic. Most actors did a wonderful job, especially the actors who played young Kiho (ML) and Mok Ha.
The OSTs were really remarkable.
Cinematography and direction was superb particularly the visuals.
And this drama had one of the best pilot episode I have ever seen in tv.
All things considered, the only things that I feel is indifference rather than disappointment with this one.
I'll give it 8.5 only because I could finish it and I am often generous with ratings.

P.S :- Ran Joo is not a good or reliable person. The CEO guy and Eun Morae was 100% right about her and had very good reason to abandon her. (my unpopular opinion)

Dumb but fun

This show is completely ridiculous, the writing is bad and the plot makes no sense but I had so much fun watching it anyway and it's because of the chemistry between three of the couples:

Irin-Hack (Lookjun & Krist): They fed me the toxicity I was hoping for from the whole series. Completely dysfunctional, falling into bed with each other and then saying hurtful things, I loved it. Their reconciliation was rushed but made sense and I strongly shipped them. Super fun.

August-Pine (Pat & Off): Another toxic couple with OTT sexy vibes. August served c*nt as an older successful woman with no time for BS or a relationship. Pat and Off had fire chemistry and looked fantastic together. Their story didn't make much sense and I didn't like how it wrapped up but the sparks were there in their scenes.

Florence-Nathee (Aye & Luke): This was my favorite couple. Florence knew she wanted Nathee's fine @ss and she went after him without holding back. They were hilarious and sexy together. I'd love to see Aye and Luke paired up again (come on GMMTV, don't just create BL supercouples, give us a few straight ones too)

Absolutely Disapointed in the Second Season, Lacks Plot

I was so excited for the second season, but wow I'm just frustrated now and won't be finishing the show. The first three episodes are so slow and lack all the good traits that made the first season amazing.

What made the first season so amazing was the nuance they put into character development, each episode usually added or progressed a character so that by the end we loved every single one. In this second season it really feels like, instead of continuing to develop the characters, they just bangwagged off of the writing in the first season and slacked off in the second. Even the new characters introduced lack any connection to us as the audience.

The deaths feel so forced and random too, in the first season although it was difficult each death made sense, whereas in the second season, it felt like they just killed characters willy-nilly and it's annoying. What was the point of developing them in the first season just to kill them off in the second??

The series lacks a plot, things happen without explanation, which was fine in the first season because the story was character-driven, and had a clear end goal (to stay alive until help came), but now in the second season, it just feels like each episode is the characters walking around from place to place and then a random fight, that has no real tension, occurs.

They have such a cool theme: monsters aren't the enemy its humans, yet they only try to 'progress' this element by saying half-hearted lines like "I'm human", "I'm a monster", "I'm not the enemy". Why not have made the first three episodes all about understanding the monsters and seeing in depth how they're not as harmful as they may seem. They should've gone more into that, instead of the random filler they have.

I'm glad I watched season one last month, and wasn't unfortunate enough to wait the years for this second season, because I only waited a month and I'm this furious, I can't imagine how other people feel having waited so long. Such wasted potential in my opinion.
