I came to the show because of OffGun, but still enjoyed the whole story even the non-BL parts.

The good:
1) its so easy to watch - its just 6 episodes;
2) Off-Gun, do i need to say more? ;
3) the cats and the dogs, i wish they added more;
4) light hearted and fun.

The bad:
1) cliched story;
2) the never ending thai concept of a straight guy falling for another guy;

Its a good watch when you have about 5 hours to spare. See it while eating your dinner and dont think too much about the plots and loopholes, just enjoy. Will i rewatch the series - maybe, but id probably just skip to the BL parts. Is it awards worthy - hell no! Overall its an 8 for me.

This story was super cute. With puppies and kitties and sweet innocent love. Most of the cast seems to be pretty new to acting but as the story went on they did a better job. The music was fun and catchy.

There is no synopsis listed so:

Basically the main boy is in danger of having his school club shut down so he and his best friend try to recruit the main girl and her best friend to be members since her uncle is the Dean of the school. The catch--she loves cats but is afraid of dogs. Will this be the end of his Dog and Cat club or the start of a new adventure for both boys?

Whenever I start watching a Thai rom com, I get a smile on my face because I know it's going to be fluffy, innocent and sweet. This one delivers as promised. Lots of cute stars acting awkward and accidentally falling into romance. Puppy Honey is 100% predictable and angst-free. I started watching because I was curious about Rome and Pick's storyline (BL), but I also enjoyed the female lead and her romance with the puppyish Porsche. Rome and Pick's story doesn't develop very far, but I love how straightforward Rome is and how goofy Pick can be. It's a pretty forgettable show, ultimately, but I'm still curious for season 2. Edit: The reviews on season 2 are very mixed, so I'm not sure if I'll watch it! But if I do, I'll review it here.

I became a fan of the Thai boys’ love (BL) shipped couple Off Jumpol Adulkittiporn and Gun Atthaphan Phunsawat after watching Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey (2016). I love Off-Gun! But I enjoyed this Thai drama series not only because of the Off-Gun BL ship but because it was such an adorable, funny, and light-hearted story about innocent and sweet relationships with both animals and humans.

Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey’s plot/storyline revolves around heart-warming friendships and young loves of the main characters with the issue of caring for stray dogs and cats as backdrop. Porsche and Pick wanted to "help animals that cannot help themselves." Sure, animal rights could have been tackled but looking at animal welfare was enough for a sweet romantic story like this. In six episodes, the script was able to communicate the main messages of the story. Though except for Emma, there was not much character background and development. The main cast were all newbies and this sometimes showed in their acting, but still, the chemistry of the two couples, Emma and Porsche and Pick and Rome, was promising. Both couples were cute together. And of course, the cats and dogs were endearing as well! In terms of editing, Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey was ok. Overall production value including musical score was also ok. Even Porsche’s dog costume was lovable.

On the whole, if you like simple and sweet stories and/or you want to know where the Off-Gun BL ship started, I would recommend to watch and rewatch Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey.

I'll finish watching season 2 of this series and I'll write my review there!!
But for this first season, I have to say that I liked both couples a lot, because even though the show was really short we could get close to them. Every character was very likeable as well. I have to admit I started watching this because of PickRome but I ended up liking the story as a whole. And what drama can go wrong if there are lots of animals in it?
I watched this in less than a day so I guess I really enjoyed it!

After great SOTUS I wanted to check other Thai dramas hoping that they would be just as good. I decided to try this one because 1) it's only 6 episodes long; 2) the actor who plays Pick also starred in SOTUS. I didn't really payed much attention to him in SOTUS, but he stole my heart as a person in the special episode.

His roles as Bright in SOTUS and Pick in Puppy Honey are quite similar. It seems to me that he's just being himself, but I don't mind it at all. I find the Pick character pretty interesting anyway; he's funny and oblivious. As for other lead characters, I like them as well. Porsche is such a cutie and his reactions to Pick & Rome's interactions are priceless. Emma's assertiveness was the first thing that drew my attention to her. She's quite independent. Rome may be my least favourite lead in this season (I still like him though!). He's too pliant. But I like that he's a person who just happens to be gay. No "I know it's weird, you're a guy, I'm a guy" bullshit. Rome knows what he wants. And good for him!

Couples' chemistry is on point. It also applies to their friendships. I find Porsche & Pick's relationship so precious. I wouldn't mind more of them together. I also like Emma & Rome's dynamic, in which Rome is the more submissive one. But he also supports Emma when it comes to her fear of dogs. They're lovely together.

The plot isn't complicated. The series is cute, funny and light-hearted, so I'm just ignoring aspects I find a little far-fetched. I was surprised how much enjoyed it. The show consists of only six episodes, but they managed to fit in enough scenes for the plot to develop. I liked those small little things that show character's or couple's development (ex. Pick's attitude toward drinking from the same vessel as Rome). Innuendos are also appreciated. However, in my opinion, they should definitely work on the angles in kissing scenes if actors are not willing to actually kiss/can't act it out. (Seriously, the kissing scene left me confused as I didn't know if it counted as a kiss or almost a kiss.) They also overdid the sound effects, though I like the use of music for comedic purposes.

It's not the show in which you discover something new every time you watch it, but I'd watch it once again anyway. It's short and sweet, and not demanding. There are a few obstacles that characters have to overcome, but it's nothing serious. I know many people watched it just for BL, but without Porsche & Emma's storyline, there would be no Pick & Rome's. So give them a chance! They deserve it.

Very sweet and a good time spent

Ah, this was cute! I watched it essentially as an introduction to OffGun and thought puppies and kittens would make this enjoyable but I really liked Emma and Porsche! They're really cute, the story's interesting, the drama makes sense, I was into it! It's not groundbreaking but also not too long which makes it perfect to watch when you're not sure what else to start that might be more of a time commitment.

I was happily surprised by the amount of Pick and Rome considering the synopsis for Puppy Honey 2. I don't know that I particular felt that incredible chemistry that I was advertised but yes, they're great, I do see why people like them together.

What I particularly appreciated is the small cast. A lot of series set in a school, they usually have a billion friends whose names I'm still trying to remember by the end so this was so great for that reason. It's just their small group of four friends and I loved it.

Someone on that show reeeeeally loves the fall into the other's arms trope.

One of the OG

On my vintage BL-binge, this title (and the sequel, which I will review at the same time) can't be omitted. It's OffGun's first appearance as couple and they blow everyone else from the screen immediately.

The natural chemistry, the charisma and deliverance of both these guys is amazing. The other actors pale by comparison. Only Sing (as Din) can keep up with these two.

The main couple (that gave the series its title) are Porsche and Emma. Porsche is a good guy, maybe a little too good, and Emma is a standard college girl: sweet and innocent. Emmas family and Porsches club bring them together for the wrong reasons and these reasons come back to bite them in the ass and drive them apart (S2). Their friends Pick and Rome (OffGun) try to get them back together and form a bond of their own. However, Pick is an a**hole who is in rock-hard denial that he could be falling for a boy and so he treats Rome like sh*t. It takes am elaborate scheme from yet another boy to open his eyes and make him open up (S2).

Although I was quite fed up with Pick's horrible behavior, the interactions between him and Rome and his utter helplessness in dealing with all these feels he is feeling made me empathize as well. I was shouting at Rome to blow up at Pick already! But Rome keeps to his calm and introverted self. The only time his cheeky and lively personality comes out is when he is alone with either Emma or Pick (when pick is not picking on him).

This BL is an oldie for todays standards, but it is surprisingly not-cringy. There are many moments that hit me right in the feels and I could not help smiling at the end (of S2).

This was a sweet, funny and feel-good series. The four leads were hilarious and their friendship heartwarming, and both the het couple and the gay couple were precious. The actors pulled it off so well, both the madhat shenanigans and the feels.

This was only my second drama with either Gun Atthaphan or Off Jumpol after Theory of Love where they also portrayed a couple and their relationship in this one was rather similar, though not as angsty, I would say, at least not here. From what I understand, it gets angstier in the sequel, so…

Also, the female lead was played by Cherreen Nachjaree who played ChaAim in Love By Chance. ChaAim and Pond are probably my favorite het couple in Thai dramas, and Cherreen was just as sweet and amazing here.

Secret Recording, Playful Puppy

The start of Off Gun is worth watching and is therefore about 90% of the reason I did not score this lower.

The story itself is mostly sweet, boys do all in their power except for honesty (but who needs that in a drama) to save the club that saves the stray animals... Yes a lot of saving here....

Girl saviour (the only one who can save the club) is terrified of dog, but gets stalked of a fluffy puppy to the point of giving in... Girls best friend falls in love with fluffy puppies best friend and well that is pretty much it.

There are a lot of sweet scenes and playfulness thru out however the intrigues are predictable and not very well executed, the story lacks depth and very little of the drama makes any sense what so ever/ is under developed and rushed as the female lead has serous trust issues and the male lead is only good at stalking and pretty much nothing else.

But then we have Gun, oh my dear sweet Gun who makes this show worth while... He is fun, has good lines and is just his usual self. His dynamics with off are very familiar too... Though Off is not as much as a **** as he is in some of their other dramas...

Fluff: 9
Intrigues 2
Bingabilaty: 10
Acting:varies, some good some bad

So if you like fluffy animals, this will fill your need but twill not be enough to keep you, if you are a fan of any of the cast and love animals this is definitely a show worth watching... As for me I am off to watch season 2... or maybe not right away...

STORY: Read the other review for more details. What I'll add is that it's a very warm and cute romantic comedy. Nothing complicated and nothing tragic. There are two couples: Porsche who chases Emma and a BL slow burning bromance between Pick and Rome that turns into something more. There are some downright hilarious bits in this series too; I was laughing hard.

ACTING/CAST: Sirisorn Vorakorn (Porsche) is great; very charismatic. Rome and Pick are super cute too. It was also nice to see Cheewagaroon Harit from Love Sick in this (super cute).

MUSIC: I liked the music. Another fine soundtrack for a good Thai drama.

REWATCH VALUE: I may but looking more towards Season 2.

OVERALL: A nice, heartwarming show that focuses on 4 people without a lot of extra messy plot lines getting in the way. Also, cute dogs.

Short & Okay

I came to the show because of OffGun, but still enjoyed the whole story even the non-BL parts.

Its a pretty easy watch and the series is short 6 episodes, its light hearted and cute, not much dogs / cats in the show, but the main reason to watch this is because of offgun, just them together is enough.

Its a good watch when you have about 5 hours to spare. See it while eating your dinner and dont think too much about the plots and loopholes, just enjoy, maybe, just skip to the BL parts. (LOL)
