I didn't hate it, but I didn't like it. I know that all BL's have flaws, but this show had some flaws that I don't agree with and that's why I don't see this as 'the best BL ever made. '

I was with everyone, loving this series up till about episode 9 or 10 (I really can't remember). However, I just stopped watching it, due to a preview of the following episode. This was when Type went into Tharn's phone, while he was sleeping. This was a big no from me. Type should have learned to respect Tharn's privacy as they were boyfriends. I know that he had his reasons, but that still was an invasion of privacy. I am sure Tharn would have told him eventually. After that, it took me awhile to resume watched this series as I was ot really motivated. But I watched it till the end, cause I thought maybe somethng may change my mind and maybe I may fall in love with this series. That was not the case.

The first time I watched THAT scene (the bathroom) , I was like...wow. However, when I stopped watching this series, I sat down and thought 'there was really no consent with the bathroom scene'. Yeah, Tharn felt guilty after he did it, but it wasn't consent. Yes Type didn't tell him to stop, but he also didn't tell him to continue with it. That was a major flaw for me.

The only reason I see why people loved this series is because of Tharn and Type and maybe some of their friends. However they seriously can't like it for Thorn's character. He did very horrible things and he basically got away with it. No justice was given to Tar. Thorn literally sent people to r$%e this boy! And people are okay wth this!? I'm sorry, but not me. Thorn should have been sent to jail for what he did! Tar deserved closure from what happened to him. For this, I really couldn't rate this show higher than 6.5. The acting and some of the storyline is why I marked this show as high as I did.

Also, kudos for it in getting a second season. I MAY watch it, but for now, who really knows?

when i first came accross this drama, i had not much expectations for it, but decided to watch it because of its good reviews. but after watching i drama, i can definitely say that this is one of the best dramas i have ever watched, and i binge watched this in 2 days. this drama is honestly so good and it will make you laugh, cry, feel happy, and all kinds of emotions. though this might not be one of those light hearted dramas, there would be so many cute and sweet moments between the leads that will melt your heart and make you smile. the leads did a very good job in portraying the characters, and the chemistry between them is one of a kind. they are literally the couple with the most chemistry ive ever seen, which makes this drama even better. for whose who havent watched this drama, or are comtemplating whether to give this drama a try or not, i would absolutely recommed this drama to you. i would give this drama 100/10 if i could, as it is really very good drama. and i would definitely rewatch this drama since i already started watching it for third time.

ALL ROUND CHEAP

I dont understand why people are going crazy over this show, maybe they got bad taste or something ( my sister included ). I went into this show with such HIGH expectations since there has been so much fangirling going on about it. BOY, was I let down! Tharn especially annoys the heck out of me. I wanted to b#$@h slap him real bad into talking a bit faster since he talks so irritatingly slow and his line delivery sucks!

The only parts of the show that is deserving of a 9 star are the steamy scenes. I got to hand it to the actors in that aspect, they sure are not awkward with each other under the bed covers!

worst represantation ever

just glorifies homophobia and sexual harassment. type commits hatecrimes and in return tharn r*pes him. tharn even tells type to report people to the police when they were offended after he called them slurs. tharns self hatred must really be off the charts, but then again he is represented as some sort of saint when he really just harasses type every chance he gets. i get why its popular, but pls this sets us back to like 20 years ago in terms of represantation. why not give shows that normalize mutual respect and consent a chance?
Some great recommendations: Not Me, Bad Buddy, Gaya Sa Pelicula and so much more!!!

Amazing DO watch!

i have watched a lot of thai BLs and this is one of my all time favorites. i have watched this about 5 times. probably in my top 3 for sure. the acting was amazing, the story and plot was great. If i could give it more than a 10/10 i would! The character development with type was great and the relationship they had was romantic and the show gave me butterflies and had me excited the whole time. if your reading this deciding to watch it, just watch it!! the side characters where kinda meh but it’s up to you to decide.

Wow. The characters are relatable. The plot and execution was superb. We see how the characters grow . P'Mew and Gulf's chemistry was off the charts. It was so believable the process of change of mindset of Type his childhood trauma and eventually falling in love. Tharn the supportive boyfriend and most understanding person. This series made me feel their emotions be with them every step of the way. We laughed, we cried together. You don't have to wait for the declaration that the are dating you could feel these two are in a relationship and they're in love. The antagonists could not tear apart the strong bond of commitment between the main cast. Great BL can't wait for season 2. Believe me I've watched all Thai BL and this one I've rewatched this 4 times.

Accurate!

For me, Tharntype is one of the most accurate BL series that I have watched. I love their small gestures of sweetness and being clingy to one another. I have watched quite a lot of series and I can say that n nothing can beat Tharntype in terms of accuracy in terms of how a same-sex couple acts. The episodes are also not saturating to watch compared to other series. They have tried to mix in other elements also that made the series very interesting and a 'complete-plate'. And the plot twist, the plot twist! I was really in awe. I love how they have hidden the snake in the series and when you expect that everything is doing well boom! It exploded everywhere. For me, this is a god-tier series that the world deserves to watch. Although they have replaced every character from its parent-story (Love by Chance which is everyone also needs to see so that you will fully understand it's side stories), it still played well. I mean, Mild playing the character of Techno is everything. He is the ultimate example of a wingman to the protagonist. I also loved that they didn't replace Kengkla to play No's love interest.

Overall, Tharntype is a must watch, I just hope that someone will share their Vimeo account so that I can watch in HD its movie prequel (this is a shoutout actually :P) Although it's in youtube but I don't want to ruin my viewing pleasure by watching a 360p movie... hehe baka naman meron pong gustong magshare :)

This BL was so captivating from the very beginning. I didn't expect anything but gosh did it exceed expectations. The storyline was thought out and well-executed. I quite like angst so I got my fair share of that. And there were sweet moments which made me want to sob. I think it's such a well rounded BL and I would definitely recommend watching, and enjoying the rollercoaster of emotions.

I didn't know I was going to soften up to Type's character, but it happened gradually and it was so ... unintentional. I think that's the best thing about the show and acting. It flows well and there aren't weird breaks in-between the plot. There were a few cameos from other couples that I loved too, but I think the main couple's storyline remains to be the most captivating.

This might be the worst BL ever produced...

Not only is drama actually unbelievably homophobic, playing into heteronormative stereotypes and portraying gay people as inherently predatory unless they are basically just straight people who "happen to be gay just for this one particular guy," it also normalizes and makes light of themes such as rape, sexual assault, emotional and physical abuse, and gaslighting. Not to mention that the author of the original novel, who was also involved in the writing and production of this drama to the best of my knowledge, loves to fetishize the LGBTQ+ community while simultaneously exploiting them for shock value in her own works.

This drama was neither created by gay people nor was it created with gay people in mind. It is obviously catering to fujoshis/fundanshis who simply view queer people as material for their sexual fantasies and get off to the borderline pornographic sex scenes in this drama. It's absolutely sick how viewers enjoy and support this and its many sequels and spin-offs when it's so blatantly harmful to not only the LGBTQ+ community but also survivors of rape and abuse.

From the professionalism from the cast and crew, to the thought put into each detail from P'Mame, to the love and care that this production was given, TharnType is easily my favorite BL.

Story - 10/10
This series originally started with P'Mame's novel and because of that each character is well thought out with their own story line which is something that we lack seeing often. Each episode was instrumental to TharnType's story line so I never felt bored watching them. I fell in love with each character and what they had to bring to the TharnType world. I was focused throughout the whole series which it something that is hard to do for me.

Acting/Cast - 10/10
Honestly if I could give this a higher ranking then I would because the actors cast for this series was complete perfection. After watching this series I cannot picture each character as anyone else rather than their actor counterparts. I had watched LBC but I didn't focus on Earth playing Type nor did I realize that TT was connected to LBC until after the teaser had come out, so I was not hoping for Earth to play Type. MewGulf are incredible actors and I was deeply impressed by the professionalism that they brought to the set. I have easily watched almost every one of MewGulf's interviews and it always astounded me when they mentioned how when practicing for their scenes, they really focused on how their character was feeling and what exactly got them to feel that way. Noticing that, I could really see how they engulfed themselves into their character and had the ability to showcase them beautifully. The connection between MewGulf is something that I wanted to mention as well, The bond between them as actors and as characters was something that was natural and showed into their work. Their intense and emotional scenes became phenomenal because they had that comfort between them to show their best work.

Music - 9/10
Music wasn't something that I necessarily focused too much attention on so I don't have much to mention about it, I gave it a 9 out of 10 because it fit with the scene, there was never a moment where I was focused on the scene and the music comes out of left field and ruins it for me. It was sweet to see how the theme song actually ended up playing a part in the series by being a song for Tharn's band where we get to see Mew sing which had me fangirling.

Rewatch Value - 10/10
Because of how much I love this show, I was always come back to watch my favorite scenes and fangirl some more. This is a masterpiece for me and holds a dear place in my heart, and I cannot wait for season 2!!

TharnType is probably one of the best, if not, the best Thai BL drama out there. I feel lucky since this was my first BL so imagine setting up your standard so high. The story itself is beautiful—from dark and toxic beginning to a blossomy ending. But what made me so in love with the drama is basically Type's character development—him slowly unfolding and developing to a better man. And how Tharn and the viewers satisfyingly and patiently watch him open up more. Regardless that the drama had little budget with no sponsors, I think the story and their chemistry were the main reasons why TharnType is a phenomenal BL drama. And to those people who boycotted this show because of how 'toxic' the beginning was, there are no stories in our life that only consists of flowery paths and I think TharnType is just being realistic in this world filled with balance.

It was a Wattpad wet dream at best

All the tropes were toxic, Tharn and Type are the worst couple in BL IMO. This was the 3rd BL I ever watched and after I finished it I felt disgusted with myself for sitting through such a horrifying portrayal of “love”. This taught me to avoid the MAME cinematic universe for the foreseeable future.

There should have been so many trigger warnings preceding the show so the viewers will brace for the shitstorm they are about to sit through. There were so many opportunities for the story to take a different direction but MAME decided to go down the toxic route. The trauma experienced by the characters was portrayed well by the actors but the resolution fell flat. MAME loves redeeming her toxic characters by giving them sad backstories or just straight up having their victim forgive them.
