Controlling/crazy/jealous/ultra-protective male character?

Leh Ratree (2015 Esther and Sean ver) is the one that I just finished and it was my first of that type of genre and I freaking loved it. Like I kept on clicking 'next' and finished it in like 3 days^^

Edit: I feel like I need to add U-Prince Series: The Handsome Cowboy to this list too.

Jess4163 Thanks so much for your detailed recommendations. Because of your description of Eternal Love i watched it and now I cant get over it. Any more recommendations like Ye Hua. He is soooo in love! A male lead who cries and is desperate for the female lead

I l ove this conversation thread. Right up my alley. Jealous, obsessed , possessive male lead. I don't mind the subtle terrorizing but is only worthwhile if the female lead has a backbone, not overbearing or a shrew. Has self respect and strength of character. 

The chemistry between them should set the screen on fire. That can only happen when the tension is slowly built over time. Watching naked bodies or someone having sex is watching porno not drama. Intensity and sexual tension can be portrayed by using the art of suggestiveness - some visual but mostly verbal foreplay will do the trick for me.

Finally both leads should be a mix of fire, passion, pride, self respect and heart. Too much sweet ness is unpalatable. Sweet, sour, hot, tang and savory. Is that asking for too much.

So here are some of my suggestions.

Korean

 Flower Boy Ramen Shop. Gosh the kisses and the sensual scenes were over the top. Very satisfying. I rate it 10. The male lead was an ass but oh god loved him. The female - I don't know why we never saw her again. A loss to the drama industry.

Most dramas of Min Ho. Heirs. OH MY GOD. FIRST MSLE LEAD AND SECOND MALE LEAD. THE KISSES, THE POSESSIVENESS WAS SO WELL POTRAYED. THE FEMALE WAS A LITTLE WEAK BUT OH MY GOD. WATCH IT.

City Hunter. WEAK ending but superb chemistry between the leads.

Faith. Beautiful. Beautiful. Brooding male, POSESSIVENESS and a beautiful heroine. What a combination. A WEAK ending just because it seemed rushed. Unforgettable.

Secret Garden. That was perfection. Nothing so far can compare.

Secret, That forced kiss in he car. God, I never want to be in that situation but my fantasy is something else.

So many more but I am getting tired if writing. Will keep adding.

Chinese 

Love020. Initially I couldn't stand the woman. I also skipped a lot of the gaming part. But right in the middle, woweeee. That male lead was the dominant alpha male although his looks don't go with that character. Yet he did it so well. And I kind of not hating the female. Yummy.

The best so far under Chinese ( I only watched a few) is The Kings Woman. I have no words to express my feelings. The dark, dangerous, possessive, obsessed lover and the kick ass woman. The visual and verbal foreplay were spot on. The forced kissing .....as long as it is fantasy - amazing. I am going to follow the director of this one. He has it down to an art. 

Will keep adding.

From this thread I am watching: The girl who wears tassel earings. So 13 and I am wondering if my expectations are going to fall flat. Not sure if I should continue.

Too late to say I love you. Loved it but they confessed too early. That for me takes the fun out. I am at episode 13 or 16. That is where he sleeps with her. To many episodes to go, so am wondering again if it is worth my time to continue watching.

Just discovered this hidden gem:
--- Roy Ruk Raeng Kaen ---- not lakorn formula... For a lakorn, it's refreshing writing (although had some weaknesses) .... All characters are flawed .... no one perfect ..... he gets very jealous, possessive and obsessive ...  he is full of anger and wants revenge on her, yet neither of them could forget their love for each other ..... the emotional conflict is powerful and  their love is intense.

I forgot to mention this before:
---Tree of Heaven --- Intense ... he's obsessive and tormented (excellent actor) .... Don't be turned off by Park Shin Hye, she's good here, not annoying.

Hey, wondering if Roy Ruk has any love between the leads. After having read a review, it just seems torture after torture for the female and the male lead never does fell bad about his actions. Not sure if I should watch. I do want to watch dramas with obsessive jealous possessive hero's but not jerks beyond redemption. Any reason why I should watch it.

Pls watch the kings woman. I think better than the first 10 episodes of Eternal Love. I kind of list interest after that, But because it is recommended so fiercely here, going to watch it now.

Kad71 you’ve never watched Eternal Love aka Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms? This is one drama I will always recommend if you are looking for a crazy in love hero. You have to get past the first few episodes in order for you to fully appreciate the drama. Once Ye Hua and Susu meet, thats when the fun really begins! LOL! 

By the way, don’t mistake it for a similar named drama THE Eternal Love, which is totally different. Search for Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms.

I am really lazy when it comes to watching long dramas but for the first time I wasn’t bored even though Eternal Love is at 58 episodes! I watched every single one.
