If you are looking for a complicated dangerous liaison & appreciate the art love, then this is for you. The king_JJM is a deadly handsome lover who serves his favors for only men, specifically JIS who was groomed to be his lover since childhood. The trick for the king, is getting a heir from the sitting queen, while thwarting coups & maintaining his lover. The bottom-line finding the right person to serve the queen, why not the lover - you know how this ends... Groomed to love a man VS getting a taste of honey...
This is not for those who are intimidated-shy with well-done nude love scenes and these actors did a very convincing job in all aspects - not too many and not too explicit, remember this is about making babies & lusty love for this triangle. This movie reminded me of a chess piece roles... Pawn helps/loved King; King loves Pawn; Pawn services Queen; King alone & in love; Queen loves Pawn; Pawn is always sacrificed. Would I watch again? Probably not, too many more to discover.

Found this Japanese jewel and was hooked right off,due to its sheer simplicity of telling a very full story of finding & knowing self. This series artfully deals with a middle-aged 40+ woman who is forced into a journey of finding herself and being comfortable in her own skin. The host of characters who travel with her are quirky yet loving making the entire cast delightful & engaging. This is not for anyone looking for murder, mayhem, romance, and backstabbing - but if you are looking to take a break and partake in something that feeds YOUR inner self, this would be a great break. Easy-going, simple, appropriate soundtrack and just left me feeling good & it's only 4eps. Good story telling does not always needs 16, 24, or 50episode to make an impact.

After trying to fill the waiting void from KI, this popped up in a discussion and recommended, I now know why.. This is EPIC scale drama of divine anointed births who are each destined to save and or betray a nation & the struggle to earn love & respect. Lots of twists and turns, with the end being shown first thus the back episodes are retelling the events. This series is focuses on lots of moving parts of conniving 1st & 2nd queens, 2 unbeknown sisters who share the love of a weak man, nation building-destroying & lots of display of any of 7 deadly sins. Lots of backstabbing, strategy, just misuse of power and tons of kingly cruelty wrapped in this drama. The last episode was chaotic and just felt rushed making me somewhat satisfied yet disappointed they rushed it when they had 20ep earlier to work things out better. This is 39 hrs of which I really enjoyed the ep 25 - 38 the best, the rest you can skip around once you get get handle of the many moving characters and parts or just to use as a comparable when you have caught up with KI. Would I re-watch? No - got the t-shirt this round...

Another stellar Jdrama series I finally notched off... This detective, mystery series is cast with a rock solid actors who weave an intricate storyline of corruption, greed and murder in the police force. The story is about another outlier, intelligent, and aggressive female tasked with the impossible inside the all boys club of the police force. This series is a much see for any who love a mystery, detective, strong-female lead and some laughs along the way. The Jdrama machine is cranking out stellar mystery-detective material to give the Brits a real challenge.

Well done Cdrama! Another story of an amazing STRONG woman in the history books. The lead actor chemistry was heartfelt with each supporting cast member doing an FAB job in their roles. Hands down this MIL-Empress Dowager is an evil beast that devours power and no one is exempt from her feasting or killing spree. This is a long series yet it has so many twists, turns, and interesting storyline each episode moves quick. Bottom-line: Story of a smart, savvy, naive young girl tossed out into the wilds of world by a greedy family only to placed in to Palatial - Political hell, fall is love and ascends to high ranks based on her intelligence, resilience and tenacity. Music: was OK, appropriate for movie YET nothing memorable. While watching this JANG OK JUNG kept running around in my head, so if you liked JokJ, give this a try. Well done filming, and just enough wuxia to remind you you're watching good Cdrama.

A action packed movie that moves quick with a very "True Lies" and Club M feels. Watched for Daniel + looking for something funny with action and this delivered. Good to see Daniel H grow as he plays a GREAT smexy terrorist, he could more of these roles. The host of actors delivered solid storyline including a cranky MIL living up to cranky MIL standards. If you are looking for something this weekend to watch, gather a big bowl of popcorn & beverage - Check out The Spy a bit of fun...

Easy & touching movie. Not sure the above synopsis gives this movie a chance. Snotty girl(mistress) gets prego by rich man; rich man sends her to US to live in a birthing home. Snotty get slapped with reality, a nice man - Frank stays by her side. This movie focused the birthing homes & growing up. Give this one a chance its worth it!

Ok, if you liked or saw Devil Wears Prada and enjoyed, this is the Japanese version & I enjoyed. For me the stand-out was Miki-san who battled the boys, girls and teams creating a path not for the faint of heart. Storyline was similar to DWP yet mildly & culturally fitting for Jdrama. This is not a heavy jdrama however subtle learning's can be extracted. Re-watch? Way to many to see before I re anything soon.

This Jdrama is about life, death, family and the connective thread which binds us all. All the actors were brilliant in their respective roles and the most impressive was the lead. Y is a handsome man who is easy to look even more so due to his solid portrayal of young man at lifes' cross-road running on emptiness. Each episode dealt with the tough issues of filling the voided space of the lost loved ones, loss & yearning for love/acceptance of self and others, underlined with tales of people trying to grapple with regret of death. Music? appropriately matched and not over the top or memorable (which is not a bad thing). Word of caution: A few tears could appear as each story unfolds and bids farewell to those who were loved. Would I watch again? Not a jdrama that requires rewatching YET maybe... If you are looking for a jdrama with solid acting, storyline and meaningfulness, check this out you will not be sorry!

DtrX2.0 final episode is AWESOME! Daimon is at her best and crashes another hospital boys club without taking responsibility. For all DTRX fans, ep 9 is a perfect ending & just don't plan to move from seat since alot of stuff happens or not happens. Gotta love Daimon & teacher!

This well paced Jdrama is for anyone who loved/loves classic love stories, old movies, and memorable soundtracks. The storyline is not new, nor is the acting exceptional BUT what kept me coming back was the music and the pacing of this love story. DK has the essence of Sabrina, Sleep-Seattle, Affair to remember neatly retold in a modernized Japanese style & culture. If you watched King of Drama, Sabrina or just want a smooth drama like a decent Merlot (with a side of dark chocolate candy)give this a try. I'm sure you'll have a finish with a smile knowing the final coupling is pleasantly predictable just like your wine and dark chocolate sampler.

This drama is all about 2 key things 1)Love & learning how to love 2) growing up to become person you need to be, confidently. The subject was sensitive YET handled deftly by the GHJ & GY and cast who portray degrees of a relationships & shades of love. Lots of tears shed while watching with many of the sub-stories impacting youths, family, and schools and the yearning love of the GY...Funny, so many times we get caught viewing today though regrets glasses we cannot look ahead to see the things facing us cause we are wearing the wrong glasses. GREAT drama for all who love good story telling, electric chemistry, well placed sound-tracks or having GHJ - MSun withdrawal. Just get some tissues ready, you will cry...

The painstaking efforts to develop the 'great' dictionary artistically told through the eyes of various people & the long term relationships required to complete said task. This movie is not for everyone yet everyone should view it to get the behind the scene efforts & time of the few to insure words are defined correctly, those same words we take for granted today each time we query on google or any dictionary - someone had to define, explain, and refine it. The true accent to this movie was the music score - well done & well placed giving the finishing touches for a artistic, well directed movie.

How did I miss this well written drama? Why didn't this kdrama hit my radar sooner? When & What was I watching that made me ignore this gem?

Ok - finally completed this intelligent, funny, serious, oh heck - 'one hella of an emotional roller-coaster' drama. Each episode carefully rolls out a tightly interwoven story of intersecting lives of disenfranchised & lonely people unbeknownst to them. This is a story of adults in the workplace facing crappy conditions for contract or non-contract workers in a tight job market, while dealing with all the societal & workplace issues: sexism, agism, office jockey games, and favoritism. Comical to the point of stomach pains and tears to fill a cup full with characters you grow attached via each episode. Romance? Yes-Lite; Conflict? Yes, passive & aggressive; Music? well-suited_spot-on! Watch Again? Yes!
If you like drama that has a strong female lead, adult-issued storyline, no sappy happy endings, & strong writing give this kdrama your time, it will be worth it!

Modern youths engaged and steeped in Kabuki tradition is the backdrop of this Jdrama. The actors were strong, the storyline is directionally solid even with the accompaniment of the standard poor girl who helps a boy, father and family grow-up & a love triangle, all which works well together. The costumes & pageantry of this theater backdrop was compelling,& educational. The most fascinating aspect, was to see young adults (YA) who are holding fast to their important rituals that define their culture. These YA were dedicated (for some obsessively) to their painstaking yet stunning art - most impressive. Each episode is full of rich dialog, kabuki practices and segments of a performance (nicely & tastefully debriefed by the family caretaker to explain to all of us non-Kabuki theater folks). Well done finale nothing too over the top, just solid closure on relationships. Enjoyed this series!
