The Butterfly

Kim Sae Ron did an amazing job as a child abandoned by her chicken shirt father that had no more room for her in his life now that he had a new wife and baby. Instead of giving her finality in the abandonment, the way he did it kept her hope alive that he would return for her.

I do not understand the complexity of Korean adoption. All the adoptive parents were foreigners except for the Korean couple that wanted one of the children primarily to be a maid.

It was a difficult movie to watch as I find children who are hurting a hard burden to bear, but their burden was more difficult. There is hope running throughout this movie and the orphanage clergy and personnel are not brutal as in other movies. Their goal is for the children to be adopted and have brand new and better lives.

Sweet, light, fluffy, predictable, forgettable. I'd like to see better from Yang Mi.

Decent movie. Slow. I felt it needed more explanation for his behavior and his mother’s as well. The ending felt abrupt.

I agree on the FL and she kept saying she was mean-and she was! I never did connect with her emotionally. I did like the sister interaction though.

I really like Jung Hae In but didn’t feel he gave his best performance either.

I like the actors in this drama and really wanted to love this drama but found it wanting.

Not crazy about medical dramas but like Park Hae Jin. That will be enough for me to be on board. :)

I just watched this and like you I thought it was pretty clear Gu Si Ren ended up back in his body and that the two guys had been in love for awhile even though it had been unrequited. I did feel sorry for Lan Xi since she wasn't scheduled to die and found out that her boyfriend hadn't been truly happy with her and of course that he was in love with someone else. She also found out what she could have done differently in life but of course-she's dead now so it's too late.

I was happy the two guys finally found their way to each other and since Hero had already started to fall for Si Ren before Lan Xi inhabited his body I think those two crazy kids will work it out just fine. :)

Sweet little romcom. Im Soo Jung is always good, but Gong Yoo elevates everything he is in. :)

I really liked this drama as well. The relationship developed so well and even though I wasn’t crazy about how the last two episodes were written I was pleased with the eventual ending. :)

Never forget so the atrocities of the past are not repeated and not accepted as business as usual today or any day.

This was sweet and uncomplicated. I enjoyed the music and of course the little sister. Too cute!

Not the best film ever made but an entertaining 2 hours. I second some of the comments that this would make a good drama. I would need Squirrel to come back for it as well. Always need more Lee Jun Ho. :)

Brutal and gut wrenching but we need movies like this and Silenced Some people are only educated and only learn empathy through the visual. Not just in SK but around the world segments of society do not receive justice and protection. I hope that as we become more vocal about injustice we can change the way things have always been done in regards to victims. And also that victims are believed instead of dismissed or vilified. Too often when the perpetrators are wealthy the courts worry more about their futures than the victims. I am sickened that the girls involved IRL did not receive justice Sadly, they are not alone. We are 51% of the population and our voices must be heard and respected.

I’m not a fan of body swap movies but I found this one entertaining. It rested on the shoulders of Jung Jin Young and he did an admirable job of playing the older gangster. It wasn’t a life changing movie but it was fun. :)

At times ridiculous and silly, but the most fun I've had watching a Korean film. Nothing too deep just goodish guys and bad guys and a whole lot of swashbuckling! Avast!

The cast was good but I never got over the FL being arrogant and incompetent in her first scene. Ruined her character for me.

I was not expecting to like this movie, but sat here and cried off and on. It was a heart-breaking and funny tale of growth and love.

This movie made this cranky old butterfly cry. Simple and heart warming. One of the better Korean movies I’ve watched. It doesn’t have the sweeping cinematography or OST than some do but I found the story emotionally compelling.
