Title The Battleship Island Spoiler
I watched this on the Lufthansa flight that brought me back home from Japan and I have to say it was a little…
The thing to remember is this was a real place, with real people and real events. Survivors of the island are still around and tell their story of what they endured - particularly the children. So it's a bit hard too mess with it too much - Japan was brutal in the past (as all major countries have been at some time or other) and this era was no different.

Finished it, not as good as the original imo since they can't really be recreated, it's a classic but it's a decent…
Mystic Lullaby - sad ending? not sure I could take another one.....

The Chinese government couldn't possibly let the poor people make up their own minds; they might decide they want freedom.....mind you, at least their control is obvious. Here in the UK you're banned from doing ANYTHING that MIGHT offend someone, somewhere in the world. Moreover whether you agree with Brexit or not it was a democratic decision and yet the government are dragging their feet because THEY want to stay in the EU.

However, at least we get a vote - the Chinese people don't even get that. And DON'T get me started on what I think of their LGBT bigotry. :(

I think the recent spate of East Asian idols and actors committing suicide would make ALL the governments rethink the ridiculous levels of management controls on these kids and young people's lives. THAT is far more worrying than whether someone has a tattoo, sings hip-hop or has lived with their partner before getting married.

Title Five
So long as she ends up with one of them - I hate it when it's just left with no decision! Open endings drive me crazy. Lol!

Blademan2 - homosexuality is not disgusting. It is two people in love wanting that love to last and to be happy. That is no different from my straight love wjth my husband. Being gay, lesbian, etc is NOT a 'lifestyle choice' any more than bleeding red blood is.

Therefore having a gay couple in a drama, or even a drama about a gay couple's romance (ie 2 moons), is not only to be expected but welcomed. Would you say such things about a black or mix raced couple, or disabled couple? Of course not; so saying them about a gay couple is equally as unacceptable.

Differing opinions are great because the world would be a boring place if we all though alike. But bigoted, discriminatory hatred is something else entirely and NOT acceptable. I speak out against the latter fully as much as I defend the former. This time you are most definitely falling into the latter, whether that was your intention or not.

Just remember we ALL have right to want to meet our soulmate and be happy - regardless of what gender we love. I'm a straight woman of 52 and a mum to a 20 year old daughter, so I've probably been around a lot longer than you. Please, stop posting hate; it's not big and it's certainly not clever. Thank you.

Which one is better the japanese or korean version?
Korean....just sublime. That said, they're both good in their own way. That's the brilliant thing about dramas that have a version in each country - you see that country's take on the story, allowing for their tastes, customs, etc. I'd advise you to watch both and make up your own mind. :)

I totally agree with your comment about needing a review of the entertainment industry after so many people suffered…
There have been so MANY suicides in the last few years, but there's been an incredible spike the last few months. When you read about how their management deal with them - whether idols or actors - and how they control every moment of their lives, even cutting them off from families, telling them they can't date, etc it's just not surprising that many feel the only way to escape such excessive controls is to die.

Such a waste of so many young lives - the industry needs to have a complete overhaul of what they're doing. A single death is completely wrong, this many is just utterly unacceptable on every level. The way the management companies talk about the victim having been in therapy and/or on depression medication as if that makes it all okay also beggars belief. They should NOT be so depressed that they need ANY of that.

Just makes me so angry that all this happens and yet nothing changes......

So sad to hear this - the East Asian entertainment industry, whether music or acting, MUST start reviewing their tactics because another innocent soul just could not keep up. Just so sad to hear this...... my thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and fans at this sad and terrible time.

Thank God I'm not the only one - it also creeps me out when he smiles and laughs in other roles these days; it just isn't Irie-kun. lol!

I agree with Jang Hyuk 100% but if Jae Wook was to come back it wouldn't really make sense.. pretty sure they…
Usually, so long as you don't see the person die, then that's an excuse for them to be brought back. But if he is definitely dead, then at least Jang Hyuk should return. I haven't seen the last episode yet - I've been saving it.....
