This gives me similar vibes since the girl is so wronged by the evil stepmother. The male lead likes her right away and so far is staying true which is nice. I’m watching in part because I can’t wait for the evil ladies to get their comeuppance!!! They are just so evil!

Looking for funny detective dramas that expertly balance humor with thrilling action and characters? Look no further: these two are the top of the line in detective comedy with an emotional side. In both shows, the comedy feels genuine (partly b/c of the strength of the main actors) and adds to the impact of the main, more serious scenes instead of feeling out of place or disconnected. Plot-wise, they aren't that similar, but in terms of crime shows that will make you laugh your ass off one minute, and have your eyes fixed on the screen in anticipation in the next, they're two peas in a pod.

These two have a lot in common: prosecutor/detective dramas w/ similar pacing, depth of plot, mystery, etc. One of the notable differences is that Stranger is about finding and catching the killer, while Defendant makes fairly clear who the villain is from early on (and thus can take time to develop a compelling villain character), but they have the same air of ruthless mystery and compelling characters that will make you want to binge the whole series in 2 days.

Both series are about women (who are quite oblivious most of the time) learning how to gain their confidence. They both also feature cute romances where the male lead helps her come into herself.

in some ways Kim Bomi reminds me of Kim Sung Ryong.. their comedic sense and personalities are kinda similar, they are not "good" and they have "bad" intentions, but as the drama progresses they can't help but turn into a "hero" against their wills...

Both films are about two people who are soulsmates but never met. They get to know each other through an object left behind (a diary in one, a cassette tape in another) and trace each other’s steps while falling in love in the process.

Both shows:
1. Are over the top in humor, often leaning towards the absurd.
2. Feature a colorful cast of eccentric characters.
3. One of the leads (Kim Bo Mi in STTS and Go Tae Rim in LH) has a cynical nature and is perceived as money-hungry, self-centered and an general oddball.
4. The other lead (Lee Bom in STTS and Seo Jae In in LH) is much more idealistic, helpful, and selfless. They start out naïve but learn and grow as the episodes roll by.
5. The relationship between our leads starts off a bit antagonistic but moves towards respect and then friendship.
6. There's an excellent rapport built between our leads which creates a perfect balance in their relationship.
7. Our protagonists try to topple powerful giants in the name of justice.
