This was a nothing burger, so to speak of...
There is a story, but one with little details and depth, there are two boys, but not much chemistry. It's more a bromance than a BL. Also the teacher left a bitter taste, because he also did not help really with his money. It would have taken more than 20 minutes to make this a meaningful story. And the "confession" with the cheek kiss did not really trigger a reaction we would except from a BL.So overall this is very medicore, not good, not bad and ok to watch for 20 minutes.

Guinea Pig 2: Flower of Flesh & Blood
14 persone hanno trovato utile questa recensione
Once again, this is not real; it’s a fake!
Flower of Flesh and Blood is the sadist, sickest and bloodiest part of the pseudo-snuff Guinea Pig series. Once again, no plot was used; it’s just the director of the film Hideshi Hino himself abducting a woman, tying her to a bed then cutting her body parts little by little. He was wearing samurai armor no less! His place was haunting and dark in too many ways. This film excels in showing pure gore elements like the slow and neat cuts with blood’s splashing and overwhelming the little shooting piece. There are also the little details of cutting and breaking bones that are usually ignored in other gore films.
Although once again, the victim’s pain was oppressed leaving a lingering displeasure but I think it was used to make the film less disturbing than it already is. I don’t understand that part, if they’re going to make such a brutal sadist film then they should’ve went all out. Anyway, it was a little let-down that’s all.
The special effects were very well handled in this film even more than in The Devil’s Experiment; probably because this deals with many blood splashing and dismemberment scenes unlike the first one but they totally nailed it. No wonder many people thought it was real.
Extreme gore scenes were used in this film. Some sick samurai think of women as pieces of art that can be treated as blossoming flowers while they are cut to bits. I think the little dialogue lines used in this film helped to draw the concentration to the sadist acts instead of anything else. Despite the lack of a plot, this film handled its strength points in a good way. However, this can’t get any high rating because as I always say; gore for the sake of gore don’t deserve much appreciation. There needs to be a story and a meaning behind it all.
Watch if:
-You like the Guinea Pig’s series because this is probably the best part.
-You like extreme sadist gore films.
Do not watch if:
Just don’t watch unless you qualify for the two mentioned conditions above. Oh, and you’re not under 18. This is really brutal stuff, you’ve been warned.
Flower of Flesh and Blood is possibly the best part of the Guinea Pig’s series; it tends to show the true nature of sadist brutal and sick type of gore. It makes it hard to watch the other parts without high expectations.

A little of CLOY and Les Miserables. SO SO GOOD!!!
This is a definite gem, not to be missed!Firstly, the acting and entire cast did a great job. First time I’ve rated a 10 for acting. Kudos to Lee Do Hyun- he is an amazing talented young actor. I loved him in 18 Again, and this one did not disappoint at all. There’s something about him that seems so natural and real, he draws you into his character. Go Min Si was fantastic as well- loved how she portrayed her character. Evil father is the same actor as the evil general in Crash Landing On You, so you can expect some vicious manipulation and heartless behaviour. His story was left open ended though, we don’t know if he faced any justice for his crimes. The two kids did a great job as well!
The storyline was superb- first time I’ve rated a 10. it was tragic and sad, and made the audience feel angry at the injustice and abuse of power. Many times I was shouting at my screen ;).
(Spoiler ahead) If only they didn’t lie , if only he didn’t get engaged, if only they left Gwangju earlier! Why didn’t they????!!!! Etc etc etc.... (End spoiler )
The writers managed to blend all the plots including the romance and some humour altogether really well. The last few episodes focuses more on the uprising, how the students and innocent people were being beaten and eventually killed.
The love story between Hwang Hee Tae and Kim Myeong Hee was so beautiful, so deep and so real. To be honest, I felt they never really stood a chance from the beginning. Although they knew each other for a short time, their love endured throughout so many years.
(Spoiler- I literally cried and cried when myeong soo told Hee tae that they found her - and when he read her prayer note :(:(:(:(:( End spoiler)
Hmmm, the music and songs didn’t really leave an impression on me, not like the OST from CLOY which I still listen to! I wouldn’t be able to rewatch it also- I won’t be able to handle the aching in my heart.
This is not a romance- this is a tragic love story. It has the feels of CLOY and Les Miserables. Be prepared- the best Kdrama I’ve seen this year. All the others are boring... lol.

Take a walk and look around, there’s something wrong in my Hometown
A few minutes of the first episode are enough to make you realize that a veil of mystery covers this small rural town. This mystery is going to stick up until the very end and that’s what makes Hometown special.Watching Hometown is like walking in a fog, you walk around the Hometown without seeing anything. You’re searching and trying to understand your surroundings, the truth behind everything, only by touching and hearing. After feeling parts of the truth, you think you have understood what’s going on, but you haven’t. You can’t see the whole picture, because everything is blurred. Even the area between supernatural and realistic is grey. Before you realize it, you find yourself lost wandering through the episodes like the residents are wandering around like lost souls in Hometown.
You have to be patient; the fog can’t be dissolved right away. Hometown is a slow-burn drama and it takes time for the story to build up. Many things happen in the episodes but the main plot does not escalate quickly. The storytelling consists of many timelines that in due course of time meet and become one. It can be a little confusing at first so you have to pay attention, but the moment all the timelines are joined you will feel a sense of satisfaction and everything will be more understandable.
Watching Hometown while it was ongoing helped a lot to process the events, make theories and, of course, to not get bored because of its slow-paced rhythm. Thus, I don’t really recommend binge-watching this drama, take your time.
As the story leaves many things in the dark until the end, the main concern is whether the story will lead somewhere eventually or not. All I can say without spoilers is that Hometown has a decent closure but not the grand finale I personally expected it to have. My feelings are mixed towards its ending so I believe everyone will have different impressions about it depending on what they expect to see.
The production
What makes this drama glow is the production. The directing is meticulous with almost excellent shots, beautiful scenery and on point scene transitions. The color palette that has been used in the drama consists of mainly dark and moody colors that fit perfectly with the mysterious vibes of the drama. The music is remarkable and definitely gives the right atmosphere and tension to the drama.
The acting of this drama made me feel something very rare, almost unprecedented. The character portrayal from all the actors was so convincing that during the episodes, I didn’t see actors on the screen, I only saw characters. Even the younger selves of the main characters didn’t seem to be different actors, but the same person. This left me actually pretty impressed and was one of the reasons I really enjoyed this drama.
Overall, Hometown is a very well executed drama from all the perspectives. The only thing that lags a little, is the story towards the ending. For someone who likes thrillers and mysteries, Hometown is going to be a thrilling but weird ride at the same time.

My Lawyer, Mr. Jo

While it's not without an issue or two, My Lawyer, Mr. Jo is both clean in content and high in entertainment value.
The plot centers around the titular character as he makes a transition from high-powered prosecutor to penniless lawyer. While there is a central conflict that progresses in each episode, the story is told through multiple court cases that connect to one another, which creates multiple emotional climaxes through the course of its 20 episodes. You'll rarely feel like you're just being teased, and the action never feels like it's being prolonged artificially.
There are villains aplenty here as well, and the story structure does a great job of keeping the audience wondering "Who is REALLY the Big Bad here?" Only one villain is a mustache-twirler, but even he has complex motivations and a true story arc.
While one or two of the early dramatic courtroom scenes come off as overdone due to some sloppy editing, you mostly won't see an issue with the storytelling at all. The endings of the episodes are also some of the best I've seen, not so much for their "cliffhanger" status as for their emotional impact and comedy. This is a very well put-together show. Many times, when the End-Of-Episode Musical Glitter thing happens, you'll be completely taken aback.
Unequivocally, though, the biggest strength of this drama is its cast. I can't even take the time to point out the stand-out actors, because they basically all stand out. Just go to the Cast page for this show and look at all the Main Roles and Supporting Roles: you're looking at the stand out actors. There's essentially no "soap opera acting" here. While larger than life, these characters are people, and the writing never leans on the crutch of Sudden And Inexplicable Stupidity in order to create drama, tension, or conflict.
The entire ensemble is a joy to watch, and I'd love to see it be nominated in the "Best Ensemble" category for any 2016 awards.
My Lawyer, Mr. Jo is one of the most fun watches of the year, free from the usual kdrama trappings of either "too serious" or "too silly". It's a clean drama with a ton of heart, energy, and positivity. One of the overlooked gems of 2016.

Matching! Boys Archery

The web drama is about a women who want's to become a cartoon artist but need's some inspiration, she stumbles upon an Archery Club full of a bunch of good looking guy's and finds her inspiration through them.
This drama is actually really cute and quite funny in my opinion also if your a fan of Bromance then you will absolutely love this web drama only there's more when it comes to the girl's imagination.
[AS OF NOW ON 9/7/2016 you can watch it on dailymotion.com with English Subtitles!]
I've given the story a 6.0 because there isn't much for a story really it just about her joining the Archery Club as a Manager and going on from there.
The Acting/Cast was given 8.0 for obvious reasons because I Myself am a huge Fujoshi fan and... (I'll stop here before I spoil anything further).
Music is given a 3.0 because I don't really recall any music but in a special scene there was very light music? playing...
The Re-watch Value on this is absolutely well deserved a 9.0 in MY OPINION because of the chemistry and the girls imagination and all the special scenes.
Overall I've given it a 9.0 because it's short and not at all rushing at least for me, and it's like every Korean web drama where you can easily watch it with a friend who has never seen a Korean drama before and is quite interested in watching one but is to afraid her first time will be a let down.

This drama is set in the decline of the Joseon era and perfectly portrays the changes within Joseon at the time. The Joseon Dynasty was closed off from the rest of the world but was forced to modernize, and later became occupied by Japan.
Story
The story is about 3 youngsters who struggle with their modern ideas in their beloved country. We watch them grow in character here are the 3 main protagonists:
Hwang Jung/Little dog
A smart man within the butcher's class. Butcher at the time were seen as less then beggars and thieves, they weren't even allowed to have a name. Little dog commits the worst crime to get money for the surgery of his mother: Illegal Slaughtering. He becomes an outcast for the butchers and is being followed by the authorities. He steals clothes from a nobleman and still gets caught and shot with a gun. He is then saved by Yu Seok Ran (the woman he loves) and gets treated by a western doctor (doctor Allen) he then becomes intrigued with medicine and his story begins.
Yu Seok Ran
A sweet and smart woman within the middle class of the Joseon Dynasty. She is the daughter of a trader/translator. Making her extremely good in the English Language. Her biggest struggle is the equality of men and woman at the time. She wants to become a doctor too but the only woman who worked at the time where giseangs. She saves Little dog and her story begins.
Baek Do Yang
An arrogant and cunning man from the noble class. His father is a minister of the palace and he himself a medicine student. But he founds out the effectiveness of western medicine and he wants to study it. His father is against this. After his father's death he joins doctor Allen in order to become a doctor.
The story was amazing. I love medical dramas an this is one of the most if not the best I've watched. But the story goes a lot deeper and its also about family, love, friendship, patriotism, war, historical its almost everything and yet is still great in every one of them. The only bad thing about the story is the Japanese side, the were portrait extremely evil and dumb.
Acting/Cast
I loved each and everyone of the cast. Doctor Goh with his accent and Ji Gwak with his humor and Ran Ran with her cuteness. Doctor Allen who I found weird at first (He is a Korean acting an American) but loved while I watched more Episodes. Director Heron was cold at first and became much better. The giseangs who became nurses was funny at first but then they became real nurses.
Music
Really great Ost, I still listen to songs from this drama on youtube they got the whole soundtrack there :)
A real gem this drama, I'm so glad I watched it. A really underrated drama that should be watched by a lot more people. Really give it a change if you are interested in the Josean Dynasty and its decline. A masterpiece!

Not *that* bad, but not *that* good either...
I admit I was a little scared to watch this movie, as many of the comments I saw talking about this criticized it saying it wasn't good and that people dropped it like a hot pocket... BUT, being a reader of the original manga and knowing of Raul from Snow Man, I decided to give it a try. TL;DR: it wasn't good, but definitely not as bad some others made it out to be, as I've seen farrrr worse before in the shoujo genre. Let me explain:STORY: If you're a fan of the genre, this will be nothing new, nor groundbreaking. If you're not a fan of the clichés and heart-pounding moments, I'd suggest you skip this one. The pacing of the story is very fast at the beginning, and then somehow towards the middle to 3/4 in, it gets a little slow and draggy. It follows the formula of a typical high school shoujo romance - ML protects the "weak" FL, both start dating, they break up for some random forced reason, and insert slow-mo chase scene with inspiring music and the FL/ML having an epiphany to tell the other person that WAIT they actually DO love them! But instead of one running scene, there's a whopping total of two. The director seemed to compile scenes from the manga that seemed a bit disjointed and forced, like one second there's a serious thing going on, and it hard cuts to the characters at the beach. There wasn't much of a solid flow or transition of the storyline, which is probably what turned a lot of viewers off.
ACTING: Raul definitely didn't suit the image of Kai for me, and same with Yoshikawa Ai for Uka. However, by the end of the film, they seemed more well-adjusted to the roles. Yoshikawa definitely outshined Raul with her acting as she was more natural in her role. The character of Kai isn't supposed to be greasy or cheesy, but it definitely felt like Raul was overdoing the "cool" factor, making his line delivery pretty greasy (which also wasn't his usual tone of voice, so it seemed forced).
MUSIC: I laughed a lot at the soundtrack (and that's not a good thing). I actually expected more Snow Man or Johnny's songs in general, but there was just the one at the very end, and instead we got a bunch of poorly made English songs that sounded like random royalty-free songs you'd find on Google. Especially the intro song.... iykyk. I thought they got some random, already-made song and just stuck it in, but then the singer proceeds to croon "Honey Lemon Soda" in the lyrics and I died inside. I was super confused and slightly awed that they actually made this song for the movie. And why English? Is this a trend now??
REWATCH VALUE: Hmm.. I probably won't rewatch this as there are plenty of shoujo movies that are better. But I won't judge if you do watch this because honestly it wasn't as bad as many others. Just be a little patient, let it take some time, and watch the credits til the end because that stuff was cute, man.

Who allowed someone to make this? And who allowed me to watch it?
Non Spoiler Part -STORY: This had a lot of potential, but in the end became really disappointing. The writing was kinda bad. It didn't portray any emotion. As I am writing this there is no synopsis available (I’ll add one after I write this), so I went into this completely blind. And I immediately became confused. It was like the writer’s expected you to know what was going on. It took me like 30 minutes to figure what this story was about. FUCK SAKE I AM SIMPLE MINDED HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO KNOW? Also, sometimes it felt like you accidentally missed an entire scene. It was really jumpy. The plot itself was good enough, but it was just poorly written. Pff, overall meh.
DIRECTING/EDITING: BASIC BASIC BASIC. I swear if I have to look at another shot reverse shot I might puke. It wasn’t enticing but bearable. It just became continuous. Some transitions were really awkward as well. The special effects were okay-ish for a small budget movie.
ACTING/CASTING: Some acting was okay-ish. Bearable. Some of it was really bad (like in the fight scenes). Emotion wasn’t displayed well enough. A lot could have been improved on but whatever. The guy who played Ouyang Zhou was probably the best.
MUSIC: I didn’t really care about the music. I was to focused on the movie's shittiness . But I’m guessing the music was average.
REWATCH VALUE: I will probably never watch this movie again. Because there is nothing to rewatch. No special scene that made my heart flutter. NONE.
OVERALL: Disappointing. Nothing that memorable. However, it was a good enough to pass time. Watch it if you want, I don’t really give a shit.
MY THOUGHTS ON THE ENDING (kinda a spoiler):
I know China likes it’s sad endings with these types of movies. But normally after those endings I cry or feel empty inside. HOWEVER I FELT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I just stared at the screen like, "the fuck?" And I believe there to be three reasons to why that is~
First reason: The acting. I felt nothing when it came to the acting. No special place in my heart. They portrayed emotions quite badly. The characters didn’t really appeal to me. There was no connections or chemistry. The skin ship (aka shoulder touching) felt forced and faked. The scene where Mige was crying and punching the punching bag should be a very emotional scene. But it wasn’t. He should be displaying all his anger, sadness and frustration on this punching bag. But instead I was laughing.
Second Reason: The writing. They did terrible at expressing the character’s emotion. I feel like this was my level of writing. And I am absolutely shit at writing (if you couldn’t tell by this review). They had so many opportunities to make me cry, to make me feel something, ANYTHING but instead I was blank. Probably worse than the acting.
Third Reason: The clothing. I know this probably isn’t a big deal. But to me it is. Mige looked like he was in pyjama pants half the time. Also, this links back to the scene where Mige was crying and hitting a punching a bag to let out his frustrations; BUT HOW THE ACTUAL HELL DO YOU EXPECT ME TO FEEL EMPATHETIC TOWARDS HIM WHEN HE IS WEARING A GREEN MESH SHIRT WITH A FORMAL WHITE BLAZER WITH SOME CHEAP ASS GOLD ON HIS NECK THAT I KNOW IS FAKE? Ahhh, who dressed these people?
Due to that I was unable to feel unhappy by that ending and also thanks for wasting for your time reading this shit review. YAYYYYYY.

Let debunk slowly what happen actually.
Since there's lot of reviews but not all of it understanding. So here why, let see the first scene. This movie the character is purely psychopath who just killing person right. The character shows he have kind of hunting the victim for fun, laughing and like mouse and cat.
I found a comment say ' why didn't the mother end the everything in Police Station? '. Yeah, that's right they can end everything on the spot. But not so fast 'he' know what is happening and try to control the situation. Even how much smart her mother is, she can't exposes that easily. Cause why? she doesn't want her daughter in danger. Her daughter is her priority.
'It doesn't make sense you can't realize there someone on your back'. Actually it possible you didn't realize, I didn't just talk. I can stand behind someone without they realize, breathing slowly and didn't make a big move. But you need to remember she deaf her world is quiet. It can possible when you to focus on phone you can't even realize your friend beside you.
'Why he run to the deaf woman house without calling a police first? '. In that situation you usually have two choices but the reflex usually kick first. He want find that bu*ted first, cause why? He think about her sister safety first that's why be became stupid to safe her with eagerly. He scared if he gonna lose her forever.
About the police, I just to frustrating to see them. So bad.
And at the street you can see Kyeong Mi eagerly need help, but no one is helping right. First you need to see the situation, all of the people there didn't understand what is happening. They make they own assumption by thought that girl might be crazy or something. Since you can just only see she holding knife and her shirt have a blood stain. They feel pity to her, that's why the 3 soldiers help Do Shik, without even realize they help the psychopath. Do Shik know how to act innocently in front of people, how can you know he psychopath when he can act that perfectly fine.
At the end you can see Kyeong Mi decided to act reverse, instead stab him she stab herself. Nothing can defeated him if you still act like naive to him. Cause he can flip that image easily.
I ready to talk if you want more explanation

Young Jessica Fletcher meets Dick Tracey in a Shanghai Chicago
FINALLY! I got a chance to watch this series. I was quite upset when it first came out and didn't have English subtitles anywhere on any site legal or otherwise. This was my very first Republican Era drama so I wasn't sure what to expect but wanted to watch it because I follow Vengo Gao. It definitely didn't disappoint; quite the opposite and if it wasn't for parts of the very last episode, I would have given it a perfect score which for me is very rare.Pros: Everything was exquisitely beautiful; from the sets to the costumes, the makeup. Su Wenli was like the epitome of what a modern day woman of even today acts like (she took the initiative to kiss Qiuheng first). Clothing on her looked like she should have been a model. Just about everything in this series was absolutely stunning. The music, OSTs, not a single stitch was out of place.
Both of the leads acting and chemistry was on point from the very beginning. As older actors then the 20 somethings you see in most of their dramas, here the experience and the understanding of both actors was visible. All of the support cast were there for as long as they were needed. The story flowed seamlessly from one murder investigation to another. It really was like a young Jessica Fletcher (from Murder, She Wrote) met Dick Tracey and they added a Chicago (the Musical) flair.
Su Wenli and Luo Qiuheng started off on a bickering note which was absolutely hysterical; as he tried in a lot of vain to prevent her from entering various crime scenes only for her to find a back door. Since every case took up two episodes, they would just about always have someone Su Wenli knew either asking for help or being the victim. With the two SLs Taozi and Xiao'an to add to the hilarity, made each investigation even more interesting.
Su Wenli had a superb eye for detail that helped each investigation. Many people she met from the first episode ended up becoming a part of her extended family; from the two random cab drivers (Tong and San) at the pier that took her home, to Taozi (a maid of family friend's) in the very first murder case who became her assistant and a younger sister and the orphan (Suyun) she adopted after the homage to "Murder on the Orient Express" episode. She had inherited a huge mansion and massive property from her grandmother and her gaggle rag-tag family lived there.
Luo Qiuheng played by the very handsome Vengo Gao was a wonderful, caring, yet upright investigator who took each case seriously no matter who the victims were. We never knew much about his past (other then his ex-gf was the daughter of his mentor) or where he even lived, but his character in no way played second fiddle to Wenli. Both were equals. I have until this drama not seen Vengo in something non-costume but feel he needs more of these kinds of dramas.
It was very funny how the crime busting duo was always bickering or betting on information and yet still ending up solving each case together. Their chemistry even in those most funniest of moments was palpable. It amused me to no end how Wenli would always find a way to go undercover in any situation with just a pretty dress and the power of persuasion; everyone opened up to her without fear.
I loved and was actually quite surprised by just how much made it past censorship; a gay couple was shown in photographs holding hands and being really close as well as the topic of homosexuality was discussed openly without issue. Small amounts of nudity was allowed as well. A mentally disabled boy was involved in 2 episodes towards the end and related to Wenli and he wasn't treated as some freak but with respect and love; usually none of these would be able to get anywhere near one of their dramas, so it makes me wonder if the requirements for Republican era dramas are different then the other genres.
Cons: The biggest reason I couldn't give this series a full score was because almost the entire last episode was screwed up pretty badly and it was the pivotal case. The biggest mystery of the series was that of Wenli's kidnapped and long thought to be murdered younger sister, Wenfei. Though this fact and the man responsible were sparsely spread through many episodes, it wasn't until about the last 6 that that case started to take shape. Ding Rushan was jailed for 10 years on suspicion of kidnapping and murder but escaped.
In the last episode, they turned Wenli into this hysterical, unhinged, crazy woman who goes to rescue Suyun and Qiuheng alone while locking a few officers in a jail cell. It absolutely made no sense, though I understand her being distraught when she came home to find practically everyone drugged and Suyun missing, she knew it was the work of Ding Rushan but then she goes off to the police station and when Qiuheng tells her to stay put she starts acting a plum fool causing him to go alone without backup because someone has to watch her.
For 33 episodes even if she was in grave danger, she always kept a level head and found ways to get out of the situation and always asked for backup from the police or Tong and San or the combination of the two. Here she takes her little gold pistol like a one woman army to go after the most dangerous man in the entire series who's essentially a crazed serial killer. It was ridiculous; what made it even more so was that said serial killer was a nutcase who wanted to sacrifice women to bring his own daughter back from the dead in some twisted "The Mummy Returns" scenario which absolutely made no sense in this very progressive drama.
Of course Wenli was captured and though she retained some of her old characteristics, much of her acting until she was rescued was like some completely different person. It felt like for a solid half hour I was watching a totally different show. There was also a huge inconsistency, in the second to last episode where Ding Rushan had come into their home and cut the phone cord so no one could call, yet in that last episode when Taozi tried calling home to warn Wenli, the phone rang like the line was never cut. Another minor inconsistency was that Wenli was filthy rich but would wear a lot of the same clothing over and over again, even though she had a massive walk-in closet with racks of clothing. It didn't make sense for her to wear the same outfit 2 or even 3 times.
This pivotal point when Wenli finds out where the body of her sister is and the entire mystery is finally solved, the gravitas is completely lost because of this completely out of character and off topic scenario and it makes me sad because it should have been so much stronger than that. It lost its humor, quality, and any actual logic. Thankfully afterwards it regained its previous momentum to be able to finish the last 25 minutes in the same style as what got me hooked to it in the first place.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. That one portion of the very last episode doesn't drown out the rest of this aesthetically pleasing and truly remarkable series that will have you rolling around laughing at the absurd situations, subtle yet very obvious flirting and romance of our leads, jealous and chivalrous moments of Qiuheng, and just fall in love with this bunch of people who, though not blood, are truly a family in the best sense of the word.

Nazo no Tenkousei
16 persone hanno trovato utile questa recensione
The story starts with a bunch of students that couldn't be any more normal who greet a mysterious transfer student. Afterwards, bit by bit things start getting weirder with people who associated with him. One thing we know, this tenkousei (transfer student) is on a mission. Things get a bit complicated, but the style the direction used made it easier to absorb throughout each episode. There were many interesting characters which could've been nice to explore more. Some of them were pushed to the side to give screen time to additional characters, which was unfortunate but understandable given the time constraint. I love science fiction when sets it's own rules and logic, and operate within those guidelines which was what I found in this drama.
What I liked most in here was the directing. It managed to bring in all those elements that I enjoy watching in my shows and placed them together in such a fitting smooth laid-back manner that made such a complex story easy to digest. I also love the way they filmed the whole show, as if it was back in the 70s which brought this nostalgic feeling to it. Other than the use of cellphones, this dorama could've easily been mistaken for a sci-fi from that time. Whether it's a good or a bad thing is subjective. For me it felt like it came perfectly with the other elements of the show.
As for the acting and performances, there were countless really good ones but of course the one that stood out, and was the heart and soul of the dorama was Hongo Kanata. I cannot begin to describe how awesome he is here. Keeps you puzzled such a long time wondering if he's a human, an alien, a cyborg or some other sort of being. His gestures were flawless and the emotions he releases through his face were heart-rending. Other than him, the ever glowing Sugisaki Hana has been growing on me in every role I see her. She's particularly endearing here, her character being a bit different from previous role I've seen her in. Even with those two performances, Nakamura Aoi wasn't over shadowed for me. The reason isn't because of a bias but more since his character is one I connected the most with. I liked his laid back lazy, sometimes awkward personality. He was a natural in it. I felt Sakurai Minami was the most overshadowed since neither her character nor her performance stood out in any at all. There were many other great performances but it'll be too long to talk about it ;)
The ending they chose wasn't the best in my view but it doesn't bother me either. I think this dorama could've been perfect if given more time (more episodes or even seasons) to be fully explored, but the story needed to come to an end
As for the music it was great. The opening song and the video with it were awesome. I love the ending song. It really is uplifting and cheerful. Even if you don't watch the show, believe me it's worth checking out the song ;)
So to conclude and summarize the whole thing, if you like a laid-back drama who contains interesting elements such as coming of age with sci-fi twist, then that's exactly what you need to watch. If you're a fan of Hongo Kanata, it's also woth checking out ;)

Sweet & Adorable Romance
This is a short and sweet romantic drama. After watching it, I’m also craving for a dramatic love affair like this, be it a short one. The love and longing for one another is so beautiful and amazing. For me, this is enough to live for and to have meaning in life. This drama is simple without too many twists and turns. It’s heart warming to see things one does for one another, the friendship, love and care.
All the actors and actresses in this drama are so amazingly beautiful, even the antagonists. Their acting is good too. Their fashion is top notch, everyone looks so good every day, every minute, even in bed.
I really love Xu Lu who plays Wen Su Xi who is so beautiful and bossy but honorable and kind. I also love Chi Yu played by Zhang Ming En, so good looking and adorable, funny and romantic. I wish in real life, there really exists such a man! With him, one can feel safe and loved.
I love the sound tracks, so beautiful, meaningful, poetic and romantic.
The ending is kind of, open ended. So you’d need to watch it to find out and it’s all up to your imagination and interpretation of how it ends.
